REVIEWS OF Montreal Therapy Centre IN Châteauguay

My organization has been working with Montreal Therapy Centre for over 6 months now. During this time, they created and delivered a series of absolutely amazing workshops for our employees. They helped us address many challenges and gave our employees proper tools for personal growth and further development. Back in April, we used their resources to create a safe space for our people to talk about the lockdown that was very hard on everyone. MTC helped us to address fears and uncertainty of the pandemic situation and provided our employees with a concrete plan on how to weather the COVID-19 storm. It's an absolute pleasure to work with them! Highly recommend.

(Translated) I really enjoyed my sessions with Natalia Kolenskaia. She is very thoughtful, without judgment, calm and very professional. Too bad the insurers do not pay me back the psychotherapy. (Original) J'ai beaucoup aimé mes séances avec Natalia Kolenskaia. Elle est très réfléchie, sans jugement, calme et très professionnelle. Dommage que les assureurs me remboursent pas la psychothérapie.

A cozy place, good to go with the family, well aired, with delicious food, and guncionarios who provide a good service, great service, I hope to go more often with the family, when I visit I will try a little of everything, I spend it at the price , I recommend is for everyone, it's really worth it!

Terribly un-organized. I've been on a waiting list since August and still have not had any therapy. It's really sad to see people in the ADMIN not take their waiting list clients seriously. My name was taken off the waiting list at one point in time due to an ADMIN error which I was not notified of until I called in to check where my place was in line. I was recently matched with an Intern who was not capable of taking on any cases relating to trauma and now have fallen back into the que of hundreds of names in line. Very frustrating clinic and they do not do their intake forms properly. After now 8 months I'm going to use Better Help. They are better priced and have licensed therapists ready to see you within days rather than almost one year later with zero support.

Very disappointing first contact with the coordinator Nadine. I found her to be rude, condescending and uncaring. With her as an image for your clinic, I chose to go elsewhere.

I would definitely recommend Montreal Therapy Centre having worked with Elisabeth Ouwerkerk, who is very good. I give three stars because of my wife's and I awful experience with Kateri Germain. We went to see her because we were having difficulties in our marriage. However, after only two sessions with her, she sent us away, insisting that I was the one primarily to blame for our marital problems and that she couldn't help us. I still can't believe a therapist could be so unprofessional. We came to her looking for help because our communication had broken down. Instead of being a neutral arbiter helping us to re-establish our communication and thereby understand each other's perspectives, which is what a therapist should obviously try to do, she blamed me and ended our sessions. A few months ago my wife insisted on divorce and I can't help but think that we might still be together had Ms. Germain done her job at a most basic, competent level. I would definitely not recommend her for marriage therapy at least. I'm tempted to make a formal complaint to her professional order.

A friend of mine recommended Montreal Therapy Centre based on a good experience he had had with his therapist Jeremy. Unfortunately my wife and I were not able to choose our therapist, instead we were paired with Arielle, a friendly young girl in her 20s. We were hesitant at first to be counselled by someone without kids and lacking the experience of a long term relationship, but we decided to give her and the sessions a chance. She tried to help, but the lack of experience on her part made it frustrating for us as she couldn't relate to a long term couple with kids (although she would say things to try to relate, such as "I don't have kids but I have a dog..." but that only exacerbated the frustration). She wasn't very neutral either, contrary to how a therapist should be, and would try to show me how I was wrong and should follow the example of my wife. She even tried to convince me that I was physically abused as a child, and this was the reason I needed help (I told her I got the odd spanking as a kid and believed that was necessary at times in child rearing, but she was very opinionated and interpreted this as the cause to why I was "aggressive, violent, and abusive" as an adult). We would get "homework", stuff like spending 5 minutes per day holding hands and saying 'I love you' while looking each other in the eye. At least my wife and I could finally agree on something, that playground therapy was not what we needed. Things didn't really go anywhere with these sessions, and after a few months Arielle relocated to Toronto at the same time that our insurance coverage dried up (good timing one could say). If there ever is a next time, we will ask to be paired with someone who is or has been through a long-term relationship and who understands parenthood and the impacts it has on the couple.

Montreal Therapy center is a mix of great staff, amazing people, and caring service. They are in a convenient spot; they have the resources to address clients in their native language. The staff is so multicultural, diverse, and friendly. They make you feel relaxed and at ease. I recommend this center for professionals that face a lot of stress on a daily basis, also to students, seeing that the price is accommodated with their financial ability.

I was extremely disappointed by the way I was mistreated by the receptionist that she already dealt with me .she refused to take a message and dismiss me that I was the problem and felt bully by her actions we got into a yelling sisition .I am fed dealing with with therapists who just want money and no quality of service of helping people.

Excellent service and counselling! In October 2020, I contacted Montreal Therapy Centre for help to deal with a family emergency. I was promptly paired with Francine who immediately contacted me to schedule our appointment. With a gentle, neutral and active approach, Francine guided me through the situation and I left with a feeling of calm as well as clear next steps. The Admin team was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Montreal Therapy Centre!

A well oiled harvesting money machine with an excellent marketing front. It's a bit as the Wal-Mart of the therapy centers in Canada. It is not an incorporated company but rather a registered operation name for the "self employed" owner referring to her business as her "empire". I have being there many times and do know that organisation pretty well. I went there too much. Does not mean because it is the Wal-Mart of the therapy centers in the country that you cannot find really competent therapist on the shelf. However when you are going through that system you are cutting off 30 % of the income of your therapist or giving that money directly to that harvesting machine. Yep, they are taking 30 % charge... For me what worked better is to go directly with the therapist not through this kind of agency. Cause let s face it. It is an agency. Not a therapy center. Better income and a more bonding experience with my therapist resulting with a way more flexible relationship. You can negotiate the rates and so on. It is probably a better place for low income patient who will then be placed on a long waiting list. Another interesting fact is that organisation is not charging taxes to be able to gather the maximum number of clients, so the maximum income. Even if by the federal law they do as all the other therapy centers in Canada the obligation to collect taxes on their services provided. That s a FEDERAL LAW... Seem to me being a bit opportunist to fly under the radar of law and to avoid paying millions of dollars of unperceived taxes to the government. After all this is with that money that our society can finance our healthcare system. It is not because you are on the "healtcare field" that you do not need to be a good coorporate citizen specially that you are not a non profit organization. So there is something really wrong and off for me there. So I am not sure that going there to fill up the pocket of someone make me feel right. That I am just a number as client make me feel right. I do feel way better feeding solely my therapist who will feed me with his insight. I would spoil him with my money for all the good he do to me. I do not want to spoil Wal-Mart with my hard earned money. That s my opinion about that system and I totally don't like that approach of psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is not about money, it is about doing good to fellow humans in an empathic, personal and therapeutic ways respecting the rules of the society we do live in providing a quality and professional services at a fair consented fare. Harvesting money on that on a big scale leave me really perplex. We are talking about million dollars business here. What Wal-Mart come to do in that story... I surely don't consider myself or my therapist a can of soup who do need to be sold at profit for a third party. I love my therapist, I do love myself and do wish us the best for us. Obviously for me our best is not there.

Incompetent people, a waste of time and money. I put a star because I can not put zero.
