After seeing the reviews, I was very skeptical but went to my appointment anyway. My experience was great. The lady at the reception desk was kind and courteous. I waited for only about 5 minutes before the nurse called me in to take my information and guide me to the exam room, he was perfectly polite. Then doctor Stern examined me, she was absolutely wonderful, listened to me carefully and made me feel comfortable, she was very easy to talk and gave me the right advice for my condition. I have absolutely no complaints about this place.

Unfortunately there's a lack of Customer Service skills in general. Ladies in the front desk are rude, nurses don't tell you anything. What a bad experience and on top of that I had a terrible headache. I felt like I was one more number in their list. I gave 2 stars just because of the doctor.

This is a gem of a clinic. I was in and out (on a Sunday morning) within less than 1.5 hours. Had I gone to the emergency room at either of the 2 nearby hospitals, the wait would have been many hours longer for my painful but non-urgent condition. I arrived at 8:45 a.m. Everyone who dealt with me -- from reception, to triage, to the doctor's exam -- was patient, courteous, professional, and understanding. I received excellent, thorough care, in a timely manner, and would definitely return the next time I am unwell and wish to be seen by a doctor in a reasonable amount of time.
Doctor Bastien & Doctor Krofina were very attentive & compassionate.
The only suggestion I have for visitors is to walk in early. And I am pretty sure, despite of the wait time, you would be satisfied. Above is per my personal experience. Nurses and Doctor did spend quality time with the care needed.

I am new to Montreal and I did not know where to go when I happened to need a doctor. After reading so many negative comments, I was very hesitant to go there, however I can't say anything bad about this place. Yes, wait time is quite long, I arrived at 11:30 and at the reception they told me I had to wait until 2:30., but they were not rude or impatient (both girls were quite nice. I don't know if they have some other receptionists as well). In this wait time I managed to go and see a dentist and come back. Even though wait time is so long, I don't feel it is because doctors are lazy or slow, they work so hard without rest, it's just a high load of patients and I think they spend as much time with each patient as it is required. Technicians were very normal - definitely not rude and the doctor was very positive and caring (I suppose he was a resident) but sounded knowledgeable and convincing and very respectful. Even though I went there because I had no choice, at the end I left with positive impression and was very happy I found this place..
This happened February 28, 2020. Receptionist are rude, condescending and has attitude. Can't be bothered with a simple question and demands you to take a number even for just 1 quick question. When its my turn, 2hours after, I was promptly sent away because they don't provide copy of records. What a waste of time!!! How can you work as recptionist with that kind of attitude? Shame on these people!!!

The lack of professionalism here is astounding. I had an appointment and showed up on time. They sat me in a room for an hour and a half before speaking to the doctor... OVER THE PHONE! They called the room and diagnosed me over the phone. Ridiculous. He then came into the room anyway to do a physical diagnostic. The whole thing was just screaming of amateur hour. Another doctor came into the room and told me he ordered me an accidental EMG test and couldn't cancel it. He saw another patient but confused it for my file. He told me that if they call to schedule it, just tell them it wasn't needed.
Worst place ever. They dont take people all day. I was there at 6:30 and by 9:30 they were “full”. The doctor didnt ask me any questions, my naturopath is who saved me. I had to call them, leave a bunch of messages so that they would call me back with my blood test results... turns out i had an iron deficiency, anemia. Canadas health system is a joke. This clinic properly demonstrates that.

By far one of the worst clinics I have visited. Clearly, their receptionists needs some good manners and right conduct training. How disgusting.
Can I give less than one star? You would think a walk in clinic would be run to be helpful instead of misleading. But while they advertise that they were open 8:30am to 8:30pm, this seems to be bunk. We arrived at noon to find a sign that said they were full up until the next day, and an empty waiting room. No really, one person in one chair, that's it. So so busy. I had tried to call ahead to see if they were busy, but as the unhelpful attendant behind the glass confirmed they don't answer their phones and don't seem to think it's a good idea to let people know if they have stopped taking patients somehow with a message or something easy to set up like that. No they rather it seems let you come half way across town only to find they won't be helping. Off to wait in the emergency line at the Jewish general I guess. Thanks a ton guys! Update: Emergency was slow, but very nice, much more helpful, and generally that was a positive if not fast experience. Someone really needs to sit down with the people managing the walk in clinic and work with them on their public face, terribly run. I don't care what the excuse is, if you're full up for the day you need to be letting people know before they try to come in somehow. It's not that hard these days to do that.

The absolute worse. If I could give less, I would. I had an appointment to renew my prescription. They never sent it to my pharmacy. No one answers a phone. Returns a voice mail or answers an email. That went on for months. I gave up.

Exactly how the reviews are stating here. The clinic has to do something with their receptionists. They are extremely rude. At the beginning, my husband and I thought, its probably a long day for them and something may have happened in the morning. But when we came early morning, the minute the door opens to public, they are already rude. It is unfortunate that I do not have their names. It is unfair for some new or other receptionists to take the same review. But we are always dealt with the same unprofessional receptionist who appear to hate their jobs at the front desk. The doctors and nurses are efficient, no complaint.
I expected the worst after reading some reviews but I'm glad I went no matter what. Fast service and doctor was really attentive. On the other hand, the receptionist at the front desk hates her job and patients as well. Perhaps it's time for her to search for another career... :/

They didn't tell me until I had already waited in line for 2 hours that they, for some reason they couldn't fully explain, don't take international people for walk-in on the weekends. This was not indicated anywhere on the website, and now i'm in line at another clinic, waiting again and much longer than I would have if I had just gone to that one first.
I showed up in the clinic at 12:30 and they said that they were done for today but the sign says it closes at 20h30. There weren't even any patients in the waiting room. When i got there, the staffs were just chatting.

Nurse didn't send the prescription, and when I called to get it, the rudest receptionist answers and insists I'm wrong without looking at my file. Then she spends 10 minutes informing me she can't find my file, and to come in person. Once I get there, surprise surprise, my file was there all along. Unbelievable.

It is a good clinic ! Despite some lower number of stars elsewhere and the constant waiting period(s)!. A clinic is a clinic specially the walk in and waiting is part and parcel of its make up. Human nature and specially health is complex and unpredictable. I had 3 postoned appointments and referral to the next day. Part of the waiting until you meet a young medical staff. They want to assure you all ok if you follow the prescribed medicine. Including the advice that comes along. Time is the real solution. Human contact is important. Clinic herzl is located in an over populated cdn area so expect the audience to be ageless and from all parts of this world not only montreal!. Be courteous. The staff is young. They are doing a job! Help them succeed. Be patient during long waits. The clinic is modern and clean. Over crowded yes. Competent staff. Thanks for taking care of me! Voila.!

The Herzl Walk-In Centre is a covid-compliant, clean, and secure clinic. I have benefitted greatly by using their health care services and wish that more money would funnel into educating, training and retaining people who work in healthcare. The Herzl Clinic is part of the Jewish General Hospital and has a teaching element. Meaning that, the nurses, doctors, and residents are always sensitive to providing the best clinical outcomes for patients. Teaching hospitals are fantastic. The fact that the toilets, corridors, and lifts are clean and safe suggest that the Jewish General Hospital does not neglect their porters, security, or cleaning staff, which is an excellent thing.

I'm an student from India. I hate to say this, but our country clinics provides much better service than this clinic. I've been calling these guys for more than 2 weeks to get my test results. Every single time they put me on hold. I cannot see the doctor or get the medication until i get my results. Since I'm an interna6 student, i have to pay all the expenses upfront. And this is the service i get for paying so much money. I've never imagined that the state of medical system in Québec is so pathetic. What a shame.

The receptionists at this clinic were courteous and efficient; however, I have major concerns regarding Dr. Emman Kabangu's bedside manner. I came to the clinic as a walk-in patient after having flu-like symptoms for two weeks (the nurse was kind and sympathetic). After a four hour wait, Dr. Kabangu was thoroughly dismissive of all my concerns. When I told him that I'm vomiting from coughing too much, there is blood in my phlegm, and I have trouble breathing and sleeping he said "that doesn't mean anything". When I asked him out of curiosity how a doctor diagnoses a sinus infection (to help me assess if I should bother going to the clinic in the future) he irritatedly cut me off and said "I'm not here to teach medicine. If I told you, there would be no reason for people to come here." His arrogant tone and choice of words made me feel disrespected as a patient and like I was over-reacting about my symptoms. Regardless of a patient's diagnosis, nobody should be belittled this way. Everybody has a bad day once in a while but based on his other reviews online I'm concerned that this isn't a one-time occurrence. If you can, consider bringing someone with you into the room when you see this doctor. He might have a different approach when there are witnesses of his behaviour.

This was the shortest time I have spent in a clinic. I walked in at 8:00 AM and I was out at 9:45 AM. Think of registration(first time opened a file). Front desk was great, smooth and they were very nice and professional. Waited for a while and I was called to see a doctor who was trustworthy, patient with me,asked me al lot of questions and answered all of my questions. I had issues with my ears(crystal-balancing). After dr. explained what happened and why I am losing the balance I was thought by the dr. how to do some exercises in order to regain the balance and dr. gave me printed copy of "how to do" exercises at home. I was taken to the nurse room by dr. and nurse removed the wax from my ears with care without rushing it. After the nurse did great job and went brought back the dr. in order to check my ears again and dr. told me everything is fine and I left the building. If there would be 10 stars rating I would rated 10 stars. It was an excellent and unexpected great experience. It is 3:15 PM and I feel great with my ears and dizziness. Thank You

Most bad reviews here I have noticed are for misinformation about scheduling/how the walk-in clinic functions and the 'rude' receptionist. I got my appointment by phone, arrived 10 minutes early and was taken into triage maybe 3 minutes later. One reception was a bit 'cold' but the other was super friendly and nice. After triage, I wanted maybe 15 minutes for the doctor. The nurse who triaged me was nice, patient, and friendly. She asked a lot of questions and took a lot of notes. The student doctor who took me was also excellent and friendly. He was patient and didn't rush me, just as the nurse didn't rush me. Since this is a learning clinic, he left the room to discuss his diagnosis with the senior doctors. He came back and told me that they all agreed on the diagnosis and proceeded to give me a prescription. Highly recommended. And don't be afraid of student doctors!!! Senior doctors are there to guide them. How else do you expect students to gain knowledge!?! (I saw some complaints about having a student doctor; this is why I mention it.)

I arrived at opening time and the place was packed. The numbers to get registered at the secretaries desk go extremely slow. Once you get to the desk, they're badmouthing previous clients in front of you and are disrespectful when addressing you. I waited 3 hours to get registered and to explain I have a fever, need to see someone. Now I have to wait until 3pm just to see a doctor. They don't care about your wellbeing and I would suggest you go elsewhere.
I left this place mentally exhausted. I have been having recurrent infection symptoms for the last year-and-a-half and every time I go see a doctor, they disregard previous positive test results, make me take more tests and then when this time it comes negative, say nothing can be done. This experience was no different. I came here after the emergency rescheduled me to a clinic due to a long waitlist. The doctor prescribed me an antibiotic I already have been prescribed for, so I could just get it at the pharmacy instead (making it a pointless prescription), more tests despite having positive results in my hands from the day before, told me it might not be an infection because of previous tests but didn't know what it could be, also told me that it's common for people my age to get these a lot and that my body will fix it naturally, etc. I'm beginning to feel so exasperated by all of this, my symptoms continue to persist and worsen. I left this clinic with a stack of papers for tests and prescriptions I already have and don't need and they all lead to no advancement in my problem.

I went to the Herzl Walk-In Centre for the first time today and it was by the far the best walk-in experience I’ve ever had. The two receptionists were friendly, understanding and efficient. The resident doctor I spoke with was patient and asked me multiple questions to try to best understand how I was feeling and the nurse who took a sample of my blood was experienced, friendly and funny making me feel much more comfortable during the process. I can not recommend this walk-in centre enough!

I had two tests for abdominal pain that I have since October 2020. And the no follow-up, I called to find out what is and nothing! J'ai passé deux test pour des douleurs abdominals que j'ai depuis octobre 2020. Et la aucun suivi,j'ai appeller pour savoir qu'est-ce qui en est et rien! Une des médecins qui m'a appeller pour autre chose m'a dis de me trouver un médecin de famille...comme si c"était facile à faire car j'ai trop de probleme de santé! Résultat j'ai toujours mal et je dois me trouver une autre clinique pour me faire suivre. J'en reviens pas qu'apres avoir parler a plusieurs medecins je suis toujours pas gueris et ils me disent tous la même chose,qu'ils peuvent seulement traiter un probleme à la fois ce qu'ils ne font meme pas!
