This CLSC is wonderful, especially for getting blood tests done quickly & efficiently. The google listing states this CLSC opens at 8:00am, but for blood tests, you can show up at 7:30am, take a number, sit down & your number will be called within 15-20 minutes maximum (usually!). I've had amazing experiences here every time I've needed to use their services.
It took me almost 3 hours to see a doctor... Seriously the service is so slow, such a waste of time.
I went to get a blood test, was pretty nervous about it but the entire process went super smooth from beginning to end, no wait time (I had an appointment at 9am and was done by 9:15am!) Thank you to the staff for being so considerate and helping me calm my jitters
Best service ever! The staff is super sweet, everyone is very kind and helpful. They take 10 people in the morning without appointment, but make sure you get there early. That's what I did the first time and I was lucky enough to get a family doctor for my future appointments. Dr. Johnson is the best doctor that I've ever had!
Tuesday, March 5th, 2019. I got a referal for a urine test PCR and urine culture. Today, with the infection not responding to medication and extremely painful urination I found out they never did the PCR tests and it will need to be repeated on Monday (today is Saturday, March 9th). Mistakes happen, but they should be reduce as much as possible.
showed up 30min before closing to renew my medicare card but the lady there was extremely kind and comforting!! despite my stressing over speaking french and showing up so late lol
I had a very positive visit to this CLSC. I really don't understand the low ratings. Everyone knows there will be a significant waiting period. They only take 10 walk-in patients a day, so get there early. I arrived 700am and was 7th person in line before 730am opening. I believe Doctors arrive later and start seeing patients around 900am. I was seen by nurse Brenda around 10am, very professional and nice, happy nurse. After initial consultation I was seen by Dr. Johnson. She was very professional and helpful. It's also convenient that you can have nurse draw your blood at the same location on the same day. One of shortest and nicest CLSC visits I ever had.
if you want to take blood test Please come earlier
Extremely rude receptionists. I called to see if there was a possibility of me being seen today. They assured me that if I arrived before 1pm, I could be seen. I arrive at 12pm, and they scoff at me, barely looking up from their computer screens saying that they closed the clinic. I had to use a sick day to come in to this clinic, extremely disappoint. Left crying.
The service at the clinic is very good, but the woman who answered the phone in the afternoon is very rude, I asked her if they do blood test there, she said no you should go to hospital for that, the day after I did my blood test in the clinic. Please, if you don’t have information, don’t give wrong info to people.
I have been trying many if the services they offer and have been always very helpful. Blood pressure is super fast, you just arrive early take a number and just wait to be call while reading or playing in your phone. Appointments are giving as usual by priority by phone but once you get your appointment, you go and between 10-35 min you are in. Staff is really friendly and in they cases they are not that much... Who doesnt have a bad day??
The wait was quite long even if I had an appt. not charming ports available and the washroom was not functioning. The place was quiet and clean however .
(Translated) rating today for the excellent and courteous service from the reception through phone call. Fairly fast service and a sober and easy to access location. (Original) rating today for the excellent and courteous service from the reception through phone call. Also went there a couple time for yearly checkup, good place so far, no complains. notation aujourd'hui pour l'excellent service téléphonique de la réception. déjà fréquenté une couple de fois de l'établissement, et rien à redire. Service assez rapide et emplacement sobre et simple d'accès.
I took a blood test here, it was quick without appointment, the nurses were very efficient and kind
I always go to this clinic. I have been to many clincs where the wait is more than 3 hours. Here I can wait 30- to 1 hour. The staff is pretty friendly.
I went to clsc because I got a cold. I explained my situation in great details to them. First the nurse told that you don't have a serious situation so may be there is no need to see the doctor. When I insisted to see the Doctor because I am terribly sick, the doctor didn't take my situation seriously. He didn't recommend any medicine. And told me that you only need two days off. I followed their instructions. On my third day, I went to college and I got really bad. I almost lost consciousness, my eýes are so red and tears went of them all the time, my noise is running, I was also sneezing. I couldn't finish the day of work. My students begged me to rest as they feel sorry of my terrible state. Right now I am 100 times worst then the day I went to clc metro. May be I should went westmount clinic as usual ( I really missed them). Conclusion: I know that I lost my time and trust for CLSC Clinic, my condition is so much worst. I am taking lemon juice with ginger and garlic. I am never going back. This is my true story, feel free to believe or not. Thanks
They are really bad at communication and information. I had to do the blood test and I called a day before to make because of covid clinic does not apply new regulations and I asked them twice do I need to make an appointment and they told me NO. I got off at work the next day and in clinic they ask me if I took any appointment??? I explained that I called and your colleague told me I don’t any First they try to prove me that I call a wrong number which she was wrong and then she accept that the clinic was not sync with the operators. I don’t know if it is lack of leadership or responsibility but in both case I don’t really recommend the clinic to anyone.
I haven't had a bad experience at all at this CLSC. Mind I've never been for emergencies or chronic pain. Just regular scheduled tests. The last time I went things actually moved way faster than before
Worst service ever, the person at the desk was not a fan of Monday.
I like this clinic
You need to go early to get the service on time for the blood test. Amazing and friendly staff
I went there to do blood work and waited less than 10 minutes. Also, they are very helpful in dealing with the itinerant population. They go out of their way to help and they also have special resources and programs to help the homeless.
Excellent service! I was really impressed
I have had 2 excellent experiences here. Appointments were booked in advance and I was seen right away in both cases. Friendly efficient admin staff. Excellent medical care. Be friendly and respectful and you get treated in the same manner. Also super accessible.
Service is very fast if you have an appointment. Staff are friendly and informative.
I've been here a few times and always have a positive experience. I came in a little before 7:30 am to sign up then went back at 9 am to wait for my name to be called. I only waited about 20-25 mins this morning before being called. The doctor was thorough, listened to me and was very helpful. I spent a total of 45 mins there. The receptionist did her job and was pleasant. I didn't even have an appointment and it was so fast. I would recommend this place over all the other clinics in the downtown area. Trust me, I've been to most of them and some of them are really atrocious; with rude doctors who don't listen and ridiculous waiting time, even if you get there when they open. (I understand unfriendly receptionists happen but the most important thing to me is the doctor's behavior)
Be there early to be one of the 10 people they will see for walk in . Tried to see a Dr today I couldn't I asked the reception to make an appointment she said no . Wow really?? Is this what my taxes go to ?
It's the worst clinic in downtown. Waiting time is very long. I come here usually with my daughter coz she has her file here but I will consider other place. I came here in the morning and I have been seen by the doctor after 1pm. Later on they explain that all doctors goes for lunch and I'm coming in a very bad time (9?). Another time, I was on the waiting list to see the family doctor for my daughter for 2 months. When I called them coz I needed medicines for asthma, they told me to come to another doctor. She refused to give me medicine coz I supposed to go come to her family doctor. I called them to ask when I can get appointment for her family doctor and they told me that her doctor has already finished the internship here and I can have another appointment with a new family doctor. Thank you for informing me earlier. I went for vacation and my daughter got sick there and I could not give her medicine I needed coz my appointment was after the vacation. They have a big problem with time management here and the patient is not the priority here.
I`ve been seeing Dre. Lydia Melnyk and she has been the nicest doctor i have encountered in my life!
They’re nice people, I always go there for my tests
… I have always received the upmost level of service in kindness and professionalism by each and everyone of the members of the staff (from reception to professional intervention) at this CLSC Metro Guy location. Keep up the good work.
I've been going to CLSC Metro for over 20 years and I love it! I love the test clinic in particular. The doctors have always been amazing and sure the wait is long, but that's expected. Sorry some felt like they didn't get what they were hoping for...
I went there at 7h45 to make an appointment with a doctor. Came back at near 09h00. 2 hours in waiting room, after checking in with a nurse, I met a young Chinese girl who claimed to be a doctor. Irrelevant questions and kept me waiting alone for 20 minutes. She got back with a doctor who checked and prescribed me. The Chinese girl who appeared to be too fresh to prescribe was impatient and rude. Waste of time!
I have been there many times great place friendly employees there they do really care and show It my mom who Is up In age needs special services they were so helpful and contacted her In short time .
(Translated) I arrived at 9:15 am on a Friday for direct debits. I passed around 10:15 am. It's clean, but small. We're a bit stuck in the waiting room. There are large windows which provide lots of light. There is an Isolation Zone section and another section for Breastfeeding. The service is very friendly. The nurses are very organized. For direct debits it is very simple just to take a number and wait with your health insurance card and doctor's paper. They open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. They take samples all day. I advise everyone to go to this CLSC.
Best CLSC in Montreal. The doctors and nurses are incredibly professional, understanding and kind. I’ve never had such a comfortable experience at a clinic. Waiting times are to be expected so i don’t know why anyone is complaining.
Conveniently located directly next to Guy-Concordia Métro station. Facilities were clean, service was fast and the staff was friendly. A surprisingly pleasant experience overall.
I highly recommend lining-up at 7AM if you have no appointment. The line-up build up so fast. All doctors I had there were professional.
Just giving this 5 starts so people can see it. Really sad experience just doing a blood test. So complaining at the CLSC will cause no impact or change so posting pics here or the great job the male nurse did on me.
I really appreciate going there. My familly doctor is there. Even if we go without apoitment, they do their best for you. I always had a good service even if i already waited for 2 hours before see the doctor. When you have him, you have all attention you need.
Great staff awesome family doctors.
(Translated) My CLSC of choice. I have been going there for years and I am always well received and served by the receptionists and nurses. Thank you! Merci!
Waiting time is pure brutal. If you don't have an appointment, you better make sure you lineup around 6am to prioritize your name. The clinic opens at 7am and doctors start seeing you after 9am.
The doctors are always to your attention and take the time to help you. I didnt feel as if I was a ''number' they helped me out in difficult times and the wait for no appointments are reasonable ! For a downtown clinic it is worth it
Not a bad clinic, but you need to be lucky with the doctor you're assigned. I have two different experiences with this clinic. The first one was really positive, but the second one implied dealing with the most pretentious doctor I've ever had to deal with. She basically decided that, the SAME procedure that was done by a doctor on my first visit was a procedure that had to be done by a nurse. When I told her that the last time I came a doctor did it, she literally told me "Well, you must have had a really nice doctor then". What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Then she had me waiting on the consult for 15 minutes for nothing, and proceeded to bring me to the reception so I could get an appointment with a nurse 3 DAYS LATER. When I told her I was on the middle of moving places, she told me "Well it's not me who came in a walk-in clinic on a Friday. I can't spend my time treating your ear" I didn't know how to answer to that. So you don't have time to do your job? But you have time to spend 15 minutes doing whatever while I wait. And yeah, next time I'll reschedule my illness for you. What the hell! The cherry on the cake was that, when I was getting the appointment with the nurse, I was told that there was a spot with a nurse 15 MINUTES AGO. Right when I was waiting for her to come back. So now, three days of not being able to properly hear because this woman decided that asking for a nurse was too much of a hassle.
Anytime I've been here they've been very nice. Always polite and smiling. My appointments are usually respected on time. Yes when I go in the morning without an appointment the wait is long but that's Quebec's healthcare for you.
I've been here since 2015 and never had any issues at this CLSC. Originally from Toronto and was able to find a family doctor here. Both the nurses and doctors are super friendly and do their jobs well. Side note: saw the poor review about the guard discriminating against Asian people. I'm of Asian decent and never had a problem with the medical staff nor the guards that work in the building. Maybe that was a one-off situation with that specific guard, but does not speak to the rest of the staff at CLSC Metro.

The stuff was really helpful.
The best organized, the best professional I had my blood test for years, fast and with excellent professional
(Translated) Very busy and popular ... I am always very well helped and treated. My family doctor is working on it.
I am pregnant and they gave me absolutely NO help, NO information, NO suggestions. I am covered by Ramq. They were completely useless, it was so disappointing going there, I hate this place and think that such a rich country like Canada should have much better healthcare services. The blond lady at the reception for pregnancy is useless, they could put a robot instead. For prenatal classes they NEVER let me know something.
Great clinic for the walk in, doctors are very friendly so is the nurses very compassionate BUT CLSC line you call needs nicer people answering. They kind of assume you know how the system works if don’t have a family doctor, woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude she almost sounded annoyed I asked questions about the clinics other than that CLSC metro is fast and efficient.
The worst hospital I've ever visited. It is really slow. They do not think about the person who waits. Not thinking about the people waiting for their lunch hour, they didn’t keep time. So we wasted a lot of time. After consultation with the doctor, the doctor said that he should go to another hospital. Only stress was received. I dont want come here anymore.
So this clinic no longer accepts ontario health cards. I crawled out of bed at 6:50 this morning and waited 50 minites so I could get a drs note before I had to be somewhere today, and then was told I had tro try another clinic around the corner instead. Nowhere was it advertised that patients need a Quebec health card to access this clinic.
Not helpful at all!!!!
6 hours of waiting in the line for a walk in appointment for sick people!
Avoid consulting with psychologist Annabelle Gagné: she's nasty, condescending, inarticulate and mean spirited. You try to explain your feelings and what you've been going through. She just cuts you off and starts screaming at you (no exaggeration). Then, when you tell her you are no longer interested in pursuing the counseling, she hounds you with phone calls at your home (again, no exaggeration).
Extremely long waiting time, 2 out of 3 receptionist are rude and poorly organized.
(Translated) Very poorly organized and condescending staff. (Original) Personel très mal organisé et condescendant.
(Translated) Wait a little long for the samples. However, the service is great, everyone is really very friendly.
Very good and nice doctor there
Nurse Emily is amazing, the best nurse ever, very professional, considerate, truly caring for each patient :)
I have used the services of this CLSC for several years. Appointments service is well organized. In all my visits, nurses have been kind, helpful and efficient. I was impressed that, during a routine visit for a vaccination, the nurse (Jeremy) took the time to review my medications and general wellness and was cheerful, friendly and helpful. Yay for nurses!
CLSC Metro clinic discriminates Asian patient I am an Asian patient, I experienced discrimination at CLSC metro clinic located at 1801 Boulevard de Maisonneuve O, Montréal, QC H3H 1J9. When I finished on the 3rd floor and was about to take elevator to descent, a white lady was waiting too. By regulation, 2 persons could take 1 evaluator. But the guard came over to hold the elevator and said to me, “1 person.” When elevator opened, there was another person already, so the guard let the white lady in and I did not go. I asked him, he said, only 2 persons each time. There were 3 other white patients after me who were very close to each other no social distance at all, they claimed to take 1 elevator together. The elevator came so I took it, not another person came so I assumed I was the only person so I pressed going down, then the guard shrugged to the 3 white patients, saying something to them, it’s like I did something wrong. The guard did not correct the patients for social distancing but forbid me to take the elevate with another white patient, and teased me or accused me for what I did correctly. Obvious discrimination against Asian patient. Shame.
Bring the baby to the vaccine, waited for an hour and a half to get close to lunch time, and the nurse is very rude to treat the baby, just because her lunch break is up.
Open an hour late
The medical secretary is very unprofessional and should not be employed by any public service place
For a walk in clinic i was impressed by their professional staff. I AM HAPPY I DROPPED BY THIS PLACE
(Translated) Having a blood test, I call the reception to ask if it is necessary to make an appointment. I am told that it is first come, first served, which is perfect for me. I am then asked for my postal code, and is informed that no, I must go to a CLSC near my home (minimum 3 weeks of waiting). The receptionist's tone was really condescending when she said "3 weeks is normal". I really understand the current situation, but why offer a walk-in and say no by phone after consulting the address? The professionalism really leaves something to be desired when you call for information and you are limited to hanging up on your nose expeditiously.
This clinic treated me as if I was a child. I saw two doctors there and both of them dictated my rights as a consumer of the health system. One of them, I believe, felt threatened by my questions, which targeted the flaws of the clinic and the health system in general; she then started to cut me off and I was unable to talk and carry on with information I needed and information I had the right, as a tax payer, to receive. Very unhealthy environment and I strongly advise you to find another clinic.
Amazing service , blood test in 3 minutes, no queue ????
I always go there to meet my family doctor. Good place and they are efficient. I never had any issues.
(Translated) When I went there I asked if there were other services than medical ones and the person behind the window answered me as I was not allowed to be there and answered me, no. That's all, no other information, nothing. When I went there I was there and I looked into it. That's it, not any other information, nothing. When I went there I asked if there was any other services then medical and the person behind the window just looked at me like I didn't have the right to be there and said, no. That's it, not any other information, nothing.
(Translated) Of all walk-in clinics, CLSC Metro has the best doctors. For those who complain about the health system, it's not by bawling on the doctors and attendants that things will work out. There are elections for that. Chit your deputies.
Rude staff and terrible system. Was trying to get a vaccination blood test result that was done at another CLSC. Apparently its not possible because, electronic medical records aren't a thing at CLSC I guess. Secondly, 5 minutes later, I hear them making fun of the request out loud and the secretary shut up and glares as she walked by. Very very poor service by both the system as a whole and the staff at CLSC Metro.
