This must be the biggest fraud institution of all time. No one picks up, literally. During the COVID19 crisis they're no where to be found, all their offices are manned by machines without any brains. When you do finally get a callback, they're off at lunch during your most critical times. They take extended holidays, leaves, extra long lunch breaks. Referrals to outside organizations that also don't pick up, just when you're about to die of COVID or a mental health crisis. They're never they're for you, and never were. That's the reality. All the funding goes to the entitled, spoiled rich white collar workers that never have to interact with people at the bottom. That's YOU!

I worked in Mental Health for over 25 yrs. During my rough patches of Depression, PTSD, Anxiety I find the groups, counsellors and therapists super supportive. More funding is needed from the government for more programs. Thank you for the support at times when I needed help They always listened.

Yes, I do need help sometimes from the mind-melders. This organization consists of staff specializing in mental health care, from psychiatry, to counselling, emergency response etc. CHMA us there for anyone struggling with the least or the worse of situations sufferers have to contend with. No a place I'd go for church fellowship but a life-saving service.

Super friendly and professional. Make am appointment though it's not necessarily a 9-5type deal

For an organization whose modus operandi is to provide mental health assistance, they do not have the resources, the people, or anything required to provide worthwhile help. This is the exact impression I have gotten in my encounter with CMHA today. I do not know whether it is a lack of funding or individuals who are not competent. I won't go that far. I will just say that I not only felt ignored but I was literally ignored. Please do not take your friend or family member here.

You need to add an alternative way to contact the office; a direct number or text service. My phone screen is broken so it blacks out when calling so does not allow for selecting options or extensions. My daughter has an appointment today at 2:20pm but we can't contact the office to cancel with Dr Rafiq.

My wife and me just came in. My wife ended up in tears due to the receptionist. The receptionist should be looking at both people and just not looking at just one person. She has bad communication skills and was not bothered or cared for her actions. No apologies for her behavior and does not care and is only there for the money and not there for the people who need help. Heading to St. Catherines to get more help due to the lack of help from your receptionist. Not amused what so ever.

Only gave one star because I had too. Sent in two online requests for help at the beginning of August. 2 months later and still not a word. That is horrible and a serious let down for those in need! You guys are a joke and should seriously be looking at how your procedures are handled. No wonder the suicide rates are so high. First place people are told to contact is you guys but only to be completely ignored.

Last night about 10:00 pm I called the Crisis line. I was having some difficulty dealing with some family issues and needed someone to talk to. I got some older sounding woman and she didn't seem to be interested in talking to me at all. I got the impression I interrupting something she was more interested in. She was rude, blaming, judgemental and all around nasty. She didn't ask about my well being, my safety or whether I was suicidal. She was no help at all. Thank you, CHMA. I felt worst after I got off the phone. I'll never call the crisis line ever again or bother with CMHA. I have had medical professionals tell me they wouldn't recommend this organization.

The worker I spoke with was very unsympathetic. I was going through a super rough time and had told her I wanted to hurt myself. Her words were " ok, well, if you don't feel like you're going to kill yourself, I will talk to you tomorrow at noon" I do not want to name names, but the workers and nurses need to be trained when it comes to sympathy
