My wife got injured at work and WSIB sent her here for physio, 6 months later and she still has pain and the kinesologist told her its not going to stop and she has to learn how to work with it. Id take a hard pass on this place.

Ok, awesome set up, awesome idea and approach having all services in one place for mainly work related injury. Then it goes flat. The idea looks amazing on paper, but so does communism. Is just like a commune of specialists. Many don’t carry their own weight and are under qualified to work there. Too many hands in your “pot. Leaves you confused and stressed out during a difficult time. Then when they mess up, the blame is on YOU. This can be fairly troublesome considering most are going for work related issues. Altum is chosen and paid for by WSIB/employer. This is a conflict of interest, bias and a threat to ones livelihood when made to look “defiant” or “uncooperative” when you have to call out their incompetences and explain that you aren’t some product that our employers said to get fixed as they do make you feel like. My injury is incredibly visible and painful, yet they are still able to make you feel like a worthless fraud like those who make the system a nightmare to deal with. Don’t take their intimidation. Simply contact your local political reps and the Minister of labour to express your concerns about these companies and their pawns treating hard working tax payers like an cheap object. Especially the foreign companies who don’t have an ounce of respect for our human rights laws after receiving millions of our tax dollars to upgrade. Health professionals are suppose to advocate for their patients, not make them feel like a criminal after they fail to deliver a quality service and leave the person feeling more damaged. Dr Baine does have your best interests in mind and his staff puts on the act when he is there. Soon as he is gone, it’s a whole different ballgame

Altum Health is in my option the best physiotherapy centre, I have gone to multiple facilities over the years and never received the care, dedication and support in my recovery that I have received with the amazing team here at Altum health. When I first came here I didn’t think recovery was an option for me, that I broken and would get better, but with hard work and the support program designed for me by my occupational therapist, kinesiologist and psychologist , I was successful with my recovery. The wonderful staff in the front office welcome you with a smile and Greet you by name. They are full service facility and I would recommend anyone needing physiotherapy, psychological treatment to trust the team at Altum health to get you back to being you. Thank you Altum health for helping me be me again! ????????????

I was sent to ALTUM through WSIB after a workplace injury left me with a pretty serious concussion. After reading some of the more negative reviews I was very nervous but was intent on keeping an open mind. The negative reviews do not reflect how truly great the neurology program is here. I had a care team of an OT (Erin), PT (Eric), KIN (Lindsey and Ed), and therapist (Maria). Each one was professional, caring, and kind. Recovery involved a lot of ups and downs and my team was there for me supporting me every step of the way. I completed a 12 week long program and would highly recommend ALTUM to anyone experiencing a concussion. I learned so much about concussions, coping techniques, and myself. I use many of the coping techniques still to this day and hope to continue to use them throughout my life. I am so happy with my experience, the care I received here was invaluable to my full recovery. I can't thank ALTUM and my team enough.

This was my first time ever for any kind of physiotherapy, I have trouble with my lower back. I must say I was a little reluctant when I went here for the first time but my physiotherapist Shrey made me feel so comfortable that I was actually recommending physio to everyone I saw after. Shrey is very knowledgeable at what he does, he listens to ur concerns, provides the best treatment and he is very patient. You won’t feel you were rushed through your session. I felt so good after the very first treatment that I didn’t need any pain killer for the whole week. So please if are still thinking if physiotherapy helps, take my word for it and book an appointment.

I first was referred to altum health approximately 2 years ago with a complicated injury. It has been a long stretch of learning, hard work, determination, perseverance and I know i wouldn't have been able to achieve the progressions I've made if it wasn't for their amazing staff and team of workers that personalized my individual care/experience. I've dealt with a wide array of the staff here, it's amazing to see people invest so much time and effort into the well being, care and recovery of someone as if it were their own loved 1. From their mental health staff, to their physical therapists and even their receptionists have made this the most pleasant experience during the process of my recovery. I sincerely from the bottom of my heart thank everyone on board here at this facility for the amazing job they're doing and have been for me! You know who you all are! I just finished another treatment today with Lawrence Yu, my physiotherapist at Altum Health. I have been a client of Lawrence for the past 5 years and he has helped me tremendously with bulging disc issues, treatment through 2 years of recovery after a very bad ski accident, after shoulder surgery and general neuro back and neck issues. Lawrence is a very dedicated physiotherapist and he is always professional, courteous, friendly, and a very attentive listener. He is able to apply the appropriate treatment which makes me feel much better after my visit. I appreciate the friendly staff when checking in for my appointment at Altum Health Clinic.

Nelofar Khan is an amazing OT. I had a very extensive injury to my arm, and thanks to Nelofar and Tim (kinesiologist) I am nearly 100% better. Nelofar used micropoint stimulation on my skin graft and scars and it loosened the scar tissue and faded my scars beautifully. I have nearly full function back in my hand. I highly recommend Nelofar as an OT.

I decided to enroll at Altum Health after my careful consideration. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The clinic is clean and lots of parking space. Follows all health and safety guidelines and protocols. Shrey is my Physiotherapist - He ensure I understand the problems and my treatment will help me in the long term. He is very pleasant and non-judgement. The interesting part is that he incorporate mindfulness principles (meditation) into my physiotherapy (neck-head issues) treatments. I've learned to concentrate on my breathing and focus on the present moment. I took awhile for me to adjust and slowly adapting meditation as part of my daily routine. I highly recommend Shrey - if you are into meditation or want to explore the mindfulness approach. Different things work for different people, so if you don’t find one exercise/program/treatment useful, try another. Give it a try and adapting them so that they suit you and are easier to fit in with your daily life. As a patient, I have my part after every treatment with physiotherapist by adhering to home exercises program for full recovery. Carpe diem (Seize the day) -means making the most of your life in this exact moment. Don’t let yourself wander to the past in your thoughts nor should you be distracted by the future. Instead, focus on what you can accomplish in the present moment to make the most of it. #positivevibes

This clinic top’s the worst clinics in Ontario I don’t know why they don’t call it WSIB clinic their mindset is not about their patients it’s only about what WSIB tells there doctors at this clinic, it’s very sad that this Clinic chooses not to listen two other doctors referrals or exclamations on their patients health or injuries this clinic is all about pushing people through the system and trying to get them back to work even that their injuries are permanent they still ignore doctors orders or MRIs and only do what WSIB says I’m not too sure how WSIB knows what’s best for their clients when they’re only an insurance company not doctors this clinic is a joke and the people that work there have no idea how to do their job and have no respect of their clients they are very rude and obnoxious to their visitors. Since my injury I attend this clinic for a short while even though that I have a surgeon tell me I need surgery this clinic is tell me that I will heal and I’m able to go back to full duties if you’re looking for a good recovery and someone you can rely on moving forward with your injury keep away from this clinic.

Okay, so when you first walk in you are greeted by an incredibly sweet and attentive receptionist named Ranny. She is so warm and welcoming, it's hard not to feel at home! Onto the therapy aspect; I worked closely with Shrey, one of the physiotherapists, and Savita, one of the kinesiologists. Who have both helped save my life. Physically AND mentally. I was hurt in a horse accident in June of 2017. A very severe one. I flew 20ft overhead and shattered my right forearm. Later on the tendon in my thumb ruptured. The surgeons chose to transfer one of the tendons in my index finger over to my thumb. I attended two other physiotherapy clinics before I was finally referred to this wonderful team. Shrey was very receptive and understanding, which made the introduction to facility really easy. Furthermore, he understands the physiology of the body inside and out. When I pinpointed pain in my upper back, he worked hard to find the perfect stretch to help release that pain. Savita is wise. She has the solution to your problems. She is direct, but don't let her approach fool you! She is full of love and wants nothing more than for her patients to get better and carry on to live fulfilling lives. Oh, and the manager, Donovan, was great too! He gave me a space to share some ideas and really made the place feel complete. To all of the other individuals out there who have been hurt in an accident. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. These teams of people are specialists at helping make the body function at its maximum capacity. HOWEVER, you have to do the work! These teams can only give you the solutions and guidance, the rest is in your hands (and core, Savita will remind you!) With all of this said, I have to be honest to myself and to you and say that I am still hurting. I still get pangs of 8/10 pain, but for right now I'm going to keep trying to strengthen my body to give it its best chance at repairing itself. Besides, that's the advice of the Brampton team, and I trust them through and through. If something comes up again in the future I know I have a team of people I can return to for guidance. I just wanna take this time to thank Shrey and Tim for all there help, after suffering a back injury at work turns out it was a very serious dis herniation. I thought my life wouldn’t be the same, I was constantly in pain night and day. After walking into Altum health I had a sit down with Shrey he was very confident that he could get me back on track and doing all the things I once did, I can honestly say he wasn’t wrong. I’m now able to workout again which is a huge part of my everyday life. Great service and treatment plan, he was there with me every step of the way very patient and understanding he really takes a great deal of pride in his job and very professional I will definitely recommend Altum health to anyone.

This is a great physiotherapy place Lindsey and Mike are absolutely amazing people they go above and beyond there regular duties to make sure you as a person are ok they will help absolutely any way possible to get you a great recovery I suggest these 2 people. I have been seeing Shrey Vazir for my physiotherapy needs for awhile now. I have found Shrey to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. He listens patiently and then comes up with a suitable treatment plan based on your needs. He is extremely gentle and besides all his great qualities also has a great sense of humor which is great.... especially on those cold winter days! In-fact I found him so good that my wife also started seeing him for physio for her sore knee! The clinic is nice, clean, modern and well lit! Parking is convenient and not an issue. The site Manager, Donovan, is awesome too! I have been seen him treat other patients and manage the front desk too which shows the level of commitment of the entire staff! You are greeted with a smile as soon as you step in. Lockers are also available to store your valuables which shows that the minutest of details have been addressed while building the clinic. Lastly, it is part of the UHN group....which speaks for itself! Keep up the great work! 5 stars for sure!

I went here for concussion treatment with severe noise and light sensitivities (among other issues). This place takes a cookie cutter approach. Waiting room has tvs, radio and multiple admin stuff ... super loud and bright. Then the treatment area (also know as the big top by employees) is a very busy and loud space filled with people and practitioners. They do have private treatment rooms but they are apparently all in use. During my assessment I was told I needed a chiropractor, physiotherapist and occupational therapist. Instead I was given a kinesiologist, OT and a physiotherapist who was reluctant to physically treat me, despite the tremendous neck pain I was experiencing. The OT Jen was not an empathetic person. She would ask me how I was doing and when I would tell her, she would suggest I quit the program (among other nasty comments). The kinesiologist, on multiple occasions was too busy to work with me, despite having appointments booked. During these occasions I would be put into a classroom area, with many other clients, where an unprepared staff member would use powerpoint presentations and videos (remember light and noise sensitivities) to instruct (or fill time depending how you look at it). If you have a concussion stay far away from this place. I moved on to CBI Kitchener Victoria and worked with a caring, empathetic staff who created a custom treatment plan and who really care about people and their recoveries. They have quiet waiting rooms and treatment areas and even a quiet gym to work in.

I went to the clinic for rehabilitation after hand surgery. I initially dealt with Yarima (OT) and then she introduced me to Tim (Kinesiologist). Both of them helped with my recovery especially when I was struggling. Yarima was full of compassion and always went out of her way to help. Tim was very innovative coming up with exercises specific to my job requirements. Meghna and Jason were helpful in the brief interaction I had with them. All of them including the front desk made my visits very comfortable. Highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for rehabilitation post injury or surgery. Keep up the good work....
