Do NOT go here there rude and very unprofessional
Michelle Privet is very easy to talk to and I enjoy our appointments. Alissa, at the reception desk is great too.
Helpful and very supportive of your situation. I'm very pleased I found them. In response to the 1 star: Even though we're all made the same, we still have different chemical balances and what works great for one person might be unhelpful for the other. I've had one appointment with them a couple months ago and I have no complaints.
Michele and Dale have been amazing to work with! Michele is a very educated Nurse Practitioner! She is helping get me back on track and has a wonderful- heartfelt approach on what she does! She even took the time to check in and see how I was doing on a weekend! That type of care is hard to find these days!! Dale- front desk, 10/10!! Such a sweet person! Happy I found this great place!!!
Does not want to help victims...very sad
Michelle was unbelievably rude and inconsiderate. Argued with me the entire session, made a phone call, and ended the session early. This whole office is a joke. Go to any other psychiatric center and you will receive far better help than you will from this pathetic institution. Stay away
I attended their Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and it was extremely helpful. This is an 8-week program with group therapy 3 days each week. I feel so much better after IOP. I also get great service from Michelle Privette and William Roderick and am now attending a weekly group therapy session with Sylvie Jeanloz. The front desk and billing personnel, including Michelle, Annette and Lesley, are also fantastic! I highly recommend their services for mental health and am so thankful that they have been able to help me get better and stay better.
Michelle is great and really cares about her patients! I would highly recommend her. :)
A very very disappointing experience. Will not be returning.
I have had a phenomenal experience with Revitalizing Psychiatry for 2 years. Office staff are such an integral part of how well a practice functions. Luckily this office has an absolute gem of an office manager! I cannot speak highly enough of her! Michelle is sincerely kind individual who is extremely knowledgeable, personable and genuinely helpful. Michelle is a key part of why my experience has been so positive. Regardless of the amount of work she may be juggling; Michelle has always worked quickly to accommodate my requests. She is truly amazing! In terms of psychiatry, Dr. Larson is absolutely wonderful! He is a brilliant professional who genuinely cares about the well-being of his clients. He is hands down one of the best in his field. He is the type of psychiatrist that everyone helps to find. I am beyond grateful for the positive experience of how to get last two years. I'm especially grateful to both Michelle and dr. Larson for being such wonderful individuals! I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for individualized care.
Stay clear!
After not hearing from anyone at this office after I have emailed the front desk on July 5th I have decided to go ahead and post this. I will also be contacting my insurance company because these practices are generally frowned upon. I generally don’t ever feel the need to write a review about doctors offices, but I will post to head a warning for anyone who has an insurance plan with a very low co-pay. Unless you are able to come out of pocket substantially STAY AWAY. I missed an appointment due to a death in the family and was charged $50 for missing my appointment. Shelby B has been one of the most unpleasant front desk- receptionists I’ve ever had to deal with in this town. After missing an appointment because I did not get a link to my session she I sent an email and she called and said the link had been sent to my email in the most CONDESCENDING and “matter of factly” tone. She needs to understand she works with people who have MENTAL DISORDERS not people who are with the wherewithal to be spoke to like that. After requesting for a refill of my daily medication I was informed of a $25 refill fee! They don’t do auto refill at all just so you have to visit every time. Aside from the outrageous cancellation policy and lack of any kind of understanding the provider I did have was excellent, it is unfortunate I will not be working with her anymore.
The staff's very professional. It's obvious that Michelle Privett cares deeply. Currently, I'm halfway through their (8) week IOP. Its helped me immensely & I would recommend them to anyone looking for help.
The only reason they have one star is for the provider I saw there and he was the only reason I kept coming back. I went for aprox 2 years and they are on their third office manager and the front staff is constantly changing. They are either rude or have no clue what’s going on, you get a different story depending on who you talk to. I’ve been in healthcare for 10 years and have never dealt with a more unprofessional office, they don’t care about the patients, only care about making money. This is unfortunate because the providers pay for these services and they are not getting their money’s worth and neither are the patients. I just made an apt at another office and got in within two days and the same person answered the phone when I called and was very professional and kind. Do not waste your money here.
It was meh. The person who I went to see was really unprofessional, and no help at all. Maybe I'm just too smart for all this.
The past year and a half I have been with the Center has been the most life changing time in my life. Eduardo has managed my brain chemistry by listening to my needs and responding with appropriate action. I finally feel like a complete person after years of struggling with my mental health. I will be a life-long patient of the Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry. They have even helped me work through insurance issues with speed and grace. Please give them a try, and change your life as well.
Asked me to pay then $40 before they would even schedule me.
I met my deductible but they still charged me $204.00 vs the $42.00 I really owe.... Still waiting on someone from billing to call me..(its been a few weeks). I dont want credit towards visits, I need the money refunded back to my card. 6/3/19 *update*. Still no return phone call or refund for the overpayment. Per response below. Please advise when the refund will be handled or I will be filing a formal complaint. This is ridiculous, the appointment was 3 weeks ago. I understand billing errors occur, however no return phone calls or followup is unprofessional and rude. 6/6/19 *update*. Insurance co has been calling office and billing dept daily. On 6/4 they reached someone and they guaranteed a refund and a call back.. .. still no call back from this dept or the office manager
Dr. LaRosa LISTENED to me. A woman trying to get diagnosed with ADHD as an adult faces a stupid amount of dismissiveness and misdiagnosis. It's exhausting, it's frustrating, it's discouraging. Contrary to other professionals who formed opinions without digging further, Eduardo asked questions from a number of angles to get a fuller picture, and saw where and how I needed help. Compassionate, knowledgeable, HELPFUL.
Very professional. Very helpful. Caring. Knowledgeable. Like the options of in-person or video. I have a degree in psychology and the professionals I’ve worked with are on top of the latest techniques/theories and medical interventions. We all need a little help, sometimes.
So happy I found this office. Suffering from years of depression anxiety, etc etc., I've finally found a place where I feel comfortable, and that offers both psychotherapy and cognitive therapy. Michelle is wonderful and very accommodating. I was late for an apt, but she made room for me, even though she is on a tight schedule herself. I have referred her to couple of friends as well. I highly recommend this office for any mental health needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well
Very happy that I made the decision to get my husband help with his depression and anxiety. This place was the best. Michelle asked great questions she really tried to figure out what was the real issue with my husband. She was careful with choosing medication and I feel like she is leading us to a solution. I’m hopeful and happy with our decision . Hope this helps others to trust this place. I do think that is the hardest part was to trust someone to make a decision on helping an issue you can’t at times control.
Phone tag all day long for days to make an appointment. They hardly ever answer the phone. I work during the day, so I can't stay off the phone ignoring my customers waiting for a call back maybe the same day, maybe the next day. If I can't earn money because I'm waiting on a call from their office, then, I can't pay for the services. And they won't work with you to help you schedule easier. Very disappointing. Creates more anxiety than what I'm seeing a doc for already.
I was refered to Dr. Amotto's office from the VA. Nichole was rude, short tempered and insisted that their $40 deposit must be paid by me, before setting the appointment. Then she hung up on me. She may need to lay back and tell a professional her thoughts... After paying $40 deposit of course.
Professional, helpful, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Doctors and staff get the job done. They are there for you. Very dedicated to getting the results you want, need to feel better and move forward with your life.
I have been in treatment with Dr. D'Angelo and my therapist, Sylvie, for over two years. The care I have received has been second to none. They are thoughtful, empathetic and kind; yet, they still challenge me when I need it. My relationship with my husband has improved and they have helped me to navigate major crises in my personal life in such a way that my relationships with extended family have become stronger. When I look back at the progress I have made in the last few years, it really brings home how receiving quality care can be a life-changing experience, and I am truly grateful for the caring, empathetic folks at CRP. Wonderful job, and my deepest gratitude!
This company has to be just 100% legit criminals none of there staff knows what there doing they love taking money and not giving it back to you warning do not pay them a deposit they will tell you you'll get it back but then yet there's nobody ever there that can handle refunds. Pretty sure this place does more damage to the patients that make the mistake walking in then help.
Absolutely amazing. All the doctors and counselors are caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Their intensive outpatient program was essential in helping me adjust back to life after being in the hospital. This is truly a one-of-a-kind practice.
Tried to make appointment went thru a lot of questions. The intake coordinator said I'm to complicated! I have bipolar and on 3 meds none are a controlled substance. I'm complicated, what kind of company is this. I now know why mental health is as terrible as it is. Living in NY. you're not treated this way. Drs are there to help those who are sick. Shame on you!
Having been a former psychiatric social worker, I am very hard to please...but I have been very happy thus far with both the MD and the therapist that I have worked with here to sort through some ongoing anxiety. I did not feel that meds were pushed on me in any way (I'm not taking any) and feel that I am respected and heard in terms of goals and modalities to reach them. I recommend this group.
Only in it for the $. The office Manager is Heartless!!!! Went in for help w/ clinical Depression. They made my depression worse, by their COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE. DEA look into DR. Larson. Looks like a pill mill for Benzo's! Thanks fot making me feel worse and Bullshitting me.
Very calm and reassuring reception desk with Michelle and Nancy, Jackie and Danielle. Excellent help from Michele Privet and Diane. Everyone involved felt very supportive. I would recommend this Center to anyone seeking help.
The struggle is real when you are bipolar. After fighting the medication merry-go-round for 15 yrs with numerous different Dr.s, Michelle was the only one that got me straightened out. She is AMAZING and REALLY cares. If she ever leaves I'm going with her. I could NOT ask for a better person to oversee my condition! Thank you Michelle!
This place will charge your account for no reason and take your money this happened to me. I called and tried to talk to them and they wouldn't give me there full names or anything ran me in circles. It is a waste of time and THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR SERVICES THEY NEVER GAVE YOU.
Called to make an appointment for help. Front desk lady made me feel less than for my problems so I hung up and now still continuing to NOT get help. How can an office for mental health have someone that so damaging.
Michelle has helped me so much and goes above and beyond for her patients. She takes time to listen and find the right treatment for you. I feel comfort knowing that she is not only there to figure out what is the best course of treatment but genuinely cares about you as a person. She is wonderful and listens to you with compassion and understanding. Thank you Michelle.
After waiting three weeks for an appointment over the phone not even in person. I have been dealing with extreme forgetfulness, depression and needed medication. After being called I called back 10 minutes later only to be told that I would be charge 60 for the day and another 60 for another appointment which I had to wait for.Prolonging my suffering and having forgetful issues I’m being blamed for and charged for just because I missed the phone call. This place does not care about you or your Health all they want is your money do not schedule appointment with them.
This company is driven by greed and poor business practice. While practitioners may be competent, your wallet and mental health will be milked by management. You will not be heard, you will be billed.
I have been seeing Michelle Previtt for over five years and still super happy. Not only does she listen but offer more than one option of treatment/medication. As someone who doesn't like the more sedating medications it was refreshing not have someone automatically push those drugs as the only options . Love her
From Shelby at the front desk who always graciously helps me with making appts and dealing with insurance, as well as Eduardo LaRosa changing dosages on my medications and giving me advice on how to get the most amount of benefits from my prescriptions, and Dr. Ileana Bascuas giving me critical life advice to help my growth and to help make my mind be a better place to live. These 3 people each have helped in their own way to improve and change my life. I will forever be grateful that these people came into my life at just the right time. Love this place!
I have been seeing Michelle Privette for quite a while now. She has been instrumental in helping me get my meds correct and my mental health has greatly improved. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. She recognized symptoms I was having when no other Dr did. I am so grateful for her and this office. I have been seeing Susie for over a year for therapy and she has been so wonderful in helping me get through a very difficult time. She is so understanding and relatable. I have also been seeing Sylvie for couples therapy and she truly made a difficult time for my husband and I better. We don't see Sylvie anymore but only because our relationship has improved and our communication is so much better now. Finding Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry has saved me! Even when there has been issues with billing they all do everything they can to help and get things resolved, no matter how long it takes.
They seem nice at first..they said they take my ins which they do not..they charged me a 40.00 deposit which I never heard of and when I cancelled my appt a month before appt still waiting for deposit back ..I have called 5tumes already and now they are nasty with me..wth..let's see if I ever get it back..
As others have said, I want my money refunded. They call and leave no messages. They have also rescheduled on me twice the day before. They paying me cancelation fees? Guess again.
Wonderful staff of very caring professionals who strive to make it easier for the patient. Natalie at the front desk greatly assisted me with setting up my appointments and zoom links with patience. Ms.Christen Thompson is a fantastic mental health therapist who provides her patients with accurate treatment and knowledge based experiences that makes her a relatable professional. Furthermore, Dr.Nesterenko is a serene and gentle psychiatrist who provides a clear clinical diagnosis. I am very grateful to CRP.
Michelle Privette and new front office staff are great
I have been trying to get a refund for an overpayment to this place for over 5 months. I went there two times and decided it was not needed or for me, the doctors service is a different story and was terrible but it’s besides the point. A 90 dollar credit on my account. I’ve gone in person, spoken with the front desk and left voicemails for their billing department over 5 times and still no one has reached back out to be or refunded my over payment. It is crazy how they take try and take advantage of mentally sick people.
When governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency for Florida due to hurricane Irma, I called to let them know I would not be able to make my appointment because I would need the money (my copay) to be spent on wood, water and other preparations for the storm. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude. I had attempted to call over the weekend (even before he declared a state of emergency I planned on canceling due to the size and strength of the storm as well as the path) but got a busy tone everytime, therefore couldn’t even leave a message. So how am I supposed to give enough notice so that I’m not charged? Had I not went with my gut and went to the appointment I would have had nothing for the storm, as it was hard enough to find any supplies, no to mention price gouging, after the governor declared the state of emergency. They issued a “no show” charge of $70. I will not pay it. Take it to collections and I still won’t. Zero compassion for their patients. Sorry that I don’t make a ton of money and insurance is so messed up that copays are a ridiculous amount. My home and livelihood was at stake which takes precedence over a med refill appointment when I still had another whole month refill. Had I just not shown up for any reason I would understand completely, as that’s irresponsible, but we had one of the worst hurricanes in history heading right for us! I think that’s a good enough reason to cancel and they could have been more understanding as I’ve never canceled or had any issues prior. Very disappointed. Sad that I’ve ever recommended this place in the past.
Customer service receptionist, absolutely terrible! My Dr. was transitioning to this practice. I have not even set foot in the place yet. My appointment that was originally made by my Dr. (at the former office) was cancelled, which I had to reschedule. There was another appointment made. I was out of town camping in the mountains No PHONE SERVICE. When I got home Sunday night I seen that the office called but left no message. They claim my mailbox was full, I call Bs. I called first thing in the morning on Monday, of course I had to leave a msg. no one seems to ever be at the phones to answer. I asked someone to please call me back to confirm my appointment for later that day @ 3:00 .I called at 9:00 in the morning. They called me back at 2:10! There was no way I could of even tried to make that appoint. I live an hr. away. Needless to say they were charging me w/a missed appoint. When I explained everything to the receptionist about the transitioning and the appointment changes she said it would be dismissed. Well it wasn't they called again the next day and said I'm responsible for the $70.00 missed appoint. fee. No compassion what so ever! In it for the money, not the care and concern of a patient in need of care. Heads up to any one thinking of going here.
I tried twice to find a practitioner with this organization and question myself for trying a second time. Their terms are onerous, their attitudes unpleasant and treatment formulaic and impersonal. I absolutely recommend staying away from them. Many therapists require a wait to see them because their schedules are full ; there is a reason they are in demand. Don’t be tempted just because someone here is available. There is a reason for that, too.
The front desk staff has always been professional. They offer medication management and therapy separately, so you can get exactly what you need. Everyone here is just wonderful!
My husband and I have both been patients at this office for the last several months, seeing different people for meds and therapy. I will say, I absolutely love my therapist Christen, and my husband and I have both had great experiences with all the providers we've dealt with. Unfortunately, that is where the positives of this office end. The office staff is flat-out terrible. It goes far beyond people being rude or not knowing what's going on, although we've dealt with both of those issues several times too. For the last few months, my husband had been unemployed and while we still have insurance, our $30 co-pays have been difficult to meet. There has been some sort of issue with literally every appointment that either one of us has had. We've been charged the wrong amount and had surprise charges that we had to pay for continuing care, we've been billed at the wrong times despite being very clear with everyone we've spoken with that we're dealing with very hard times financially and having to juggle every dollar we have, we've had to cancel appointments at the last minute sometimes due to not having the money for a co-pay. By the way, if you ever do have an emergency and have to cancel an appointment, be aware that if it's not two days before your appointment time, they will charge you $70 regardless of why you're canceling and they will not work with you. The staff is cold and uncaring. My husband just spoke to Stacy about our appointment times, and asked if there was any way possible to work with people on co-pays. He just got a flat "no". When he commented about the fact that they really have no concern for patients at all, she did not respond in any way. Dead silence. Again, I don't have enough good to say about Christen, Eduardo, Dr. Amato, and Dr. Larsen. But I cannot in good conscience recommend this office to anyone because of the office staff. Especially for an office treating mental health, they just do not care about anything but the money. Don't go here.
I have been a client here for about 2 years, and have received wonderful care from Michelle Privette. She stays up to date on new medications, and has made recommendations that I have found to be quite helpful. She is very professional, and personable.
Eduardo LaRosa, ARNP truly listened to the issues I was experiencing, from my perspective, and with his guidance assisted me to overcome and establish a plan to assist in the future, if needed. Eduardo is compassionate and demonstrates empathy. I would recommend Eduardo to anyone who needs his expertise and humanity.
Nice people
If I could give less stars I would. I was given the provider Sarah Rowe. From the very first minute I spoke with her it was not right… she rushed me through the entire appointment and it didn’t even seem like she listened to a single word I said and when she did it was out of judgement. She gave me weird/awkward faces as a response to my issues, changed the subject constantly, and kept telling her own personal stories that I felt had no connection or relevance to me. The facility told me the $40 would go toward my appointment if I showed up(which of course I did) but was still charged $25. So, one appointment $65. Then I got a call to confirm my next appointment (this would be appointment 3) and I said NO I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. but guess what, $25 taken out of my account WITH NO APPOINTMENT. I can hardly afford metal health in the first place but this place doesn’t care. It doesn’t matter how much you call them, text them, email them, you will never get your money back and you will never get sympathy. This place DOES NOT care about your mental health. Only how much money they can squeeze from you. Hope this helps you to never consider this facility.
Horrible front desk customer service. If they smile their faces with crack. An office manager who has no clue what she's doing. Tries to charge you for a missed appointment when the appointment you were at previously was to get cancer cut out of your arm and it ran over. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Steer clear.
I tried to get an appointment in Sarasota for over a month. I've called many times and not been called back. I finally reach someone to explain that my 40 dollars to hold an appointment was refunded. The woman says to hang on but hangs up on me and then doesn't answer when I immediately call back. I kept trying this place because my TMS doctor recommended several physicians at this location. Extremely unprofessional office.
The new patient coordinator didn't return my call, (after I left a voicemail message), for about a week. When I called back and reached her, I found her to be challenging to deal with. She wasn't very helpful.
So of the worst service, but the doctors are very good.
Warning, do not contact these people they bill fraudulently and the provider I received was not even licensed! I've never met a worse, uncaring nurse practitioner than the one they set me up with--totally incompetent and uncaring! You've been warned! I'd give zero stars if possible! AVOID!!!!
I have been a patient there for three years and the two doctors that I have seen are excellent.
Long story short, I was made to feel like I was a drug addict searching for narcotics, when in reality, I was not asking for narcotics nor do I want to be on them. I have SEVERE Crohn’s disease, and struggle with severe depression and anxiety because of my disease. The women I saw immediately told me “If you are here for benzos I’m not going to give them to you.” Whoa! Excuse me!? I don’t want them! She then proceeded she said she had to call her higher up to “make sure” it was okay she prescribed me something and to explain my situation to them. She made me feel like I was wrong for wanting to get help. I left feeling more defeated than anything, and that’s not how you’re suppose to feel going to someone for help. So, I will never recommend this place to anyone.
This front office is so rude. You definitely need a "get out of jail card " from you physician when you are sick or you will be charged with the $70. They will argue with you til the "cows come home". It's a shame, the psychiatrist is wonderful.
I treated with Michelle and Sylvie. They rendered excellent care. HOWEVER the office staff are unprofessional and rude. I have called four times last speaking with LINSEY. I was over charged on three occasions and have been reassured on FOUR occasions that I would receive a refund either on my credit card or via check. I was assured by LINSEY that the checks are written on Friday (2 weeks ago) and I would be issued a refund. I would appreciate it if the owner would contact me.
Everyone here is understanding and kind, from Stacy at the front desk, to the providers who work long days with good attitudes. Before coming inside and seeking help, I felt sort of like a broken machine that couldn’t be fixed. Like my life would just be the way it was forever. Seeing Eduardo La Rosa has changed my life. I can see my illness for what it is: an illness. I see it as something to manage, and with his unbelievably compassionate help, I’m doing just that.
Michelle Privette was extremely helpful. I was in crisis mode due to depression from chronic pain (Fibromyalgia). As she listened to me describe my situation she helped me define my needs. She understood how my depression was exacerbated by my chronic pain and how overwhelmed I felt. She was very clear in describing potential treatment services that she could provide as well as other community services that could be helpful. Together we decided on on a treatment plan that included medication, counseling and referral to a local medical doctor. As a “snow bird” I was not connected to local medical services. She went the”extra mile” and assisted me in finding a local physician. I am very happy I found her!
During a pandemic that's fueling a mental health crisis these guys want a $40 deposit just to RESERVE a TELEVISIT and cannot even tell you what your visit will cost until several days after placing said deposit. Having seen their reviews and argumentative responses I already had some reservations. Although Stacey was kind I declined as people struggling don't need undue anxiety while seeking treatment. After pregnancy losses, a cancer diagnosis accompanied by a hysterectomy at a young age, and a pulmonary embolism I've spent many moons in medical offices. This type of business practice further cements the stigma that mental healthcare providers face. While I understand the need to charge appropriately, they are depriving people of much needed counseling and in my opinion are screening to select clientele that fits their financial criteria. I'll spend what little energy and resources I have at a practice that cares more about me than the almighty $.
Called to setup new patient appointment, front office staff was very rude. Told me I had to find another Doctor is I just wanted meds. Not interested in medication, looking more for someone to provide alternatives to the medication. I don't recommend this place. They aren't dry helpful.
I agree with Christa Key down there. I had a horrible experience with this office here is being why: I asked the office to call me if they had any cancellations which they did but they called Friday right before they left so when I was able to call back no one was in office NOR was I able to leave a voice mail which I thought was ridiculous so I tried calling over the weekend and same thing couldn't leave a message to get the appointment they had called about. Therefore when I called this morning (Monday) they told me I had to keep the Tuesday appointment after I tried all weekend to cancel and reschedule so I wouldn't get charged. I couldn't make tuesday due to last minute surgery I'm going in for. I am still getting charged a late fee because I didn't cancel in 48hours. But I can't do so if the phones in office arnt capable of leaving a voicemail. So basically I got set up for failure. I will NOT be coming back to this office.
My daughter is a patient here. Horrible front desk. Always new people. Messing up, canceling appointments, scheduling 2 appointments in one day, etc. And when THEY mess up, you have to pay $70 for THEIR mistakes. Have NEVER seen an "Office" run so poorly in my entire life. You would think the Doctors there would try to get some qualified front desk help. Unfortunately my daughter still goes because it's such a hassle changing doctors. But I am definitely going to be looking into it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
