Captain Larry is a magnificent guide and expert mariner. We found some whales right away but they were not in a playful mood so we moved on. We cruised the bulk of the pennensula, admired the seabirds and caught some cod. All the while Larry told us about the fisheries and the local economy while letting us pilot the boat a bit. He made sure to get plenty of pictures of us and made our time together well worth the drive up there. What a great afternoon!

Cap'n Larry is a Newfoundland legend, that's all I can say. From the minute we met him, he had us feeling warm, welcome and cracking up with laughter. His tour didn't feel like a tour but rather a boat ride with a really experienced, knowledgeable, and ballsy sailor. He adjusts the experience according to his passengers so for us young men he pushed the limits a bit and gave us the ride of a lifetime. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to go out for a tour and will definitely come back with my family in the future. Highlight of our trip thanks to the man!

These guys made my girlfriend and I feel like we were going out on the boat with some friends, rather than a tour company. They're also really focused on making sure you get what you want out of the experience and are lovely people to deal with in person.

We booked with them and got a confirmation email. We went there ahead of time and waited, nobody showed up. Edit: We booked on August 5th, the name was Cynthia. You called us 30 minutes after we were supposed to start the tour to tell us you were sorry but had spend the day in an area with no cell phone reception and didn't know about the booking, that the confirmation message was sent automatically. We stayed one more day than planned in Bonavista to go see the whales with you guys, sadly we were unable to stay longer and rebook as you proposed... I appreciate that you called us to try to make things right, hopefully we'll have the chance to come back and be luckier this time !

Larry is the best! It can not be put into words how great of a time Larry showed us! Catching Cod, feet away from humpback whales, and Puffins galore! It was just on of the greatest experiences ever!

Larry went above and beyond, taking 2 of us at the last minute, finding a ton of birds and an iceberg even after going though some fog. Got lots of pictures and a piece of ice which you apparently can check in your luggage for the flight home (most of it made it). Highlight of the Bonavista part of the trip and would recommend it to anyone.

Real Newfoundland experience from the music to the whales, the birds, baby puffins, experience of a lifetime. Even took care to make sure my 2 year old was happy and warm ???? Larry and Cavell are excellent hosts all round. We will return ????

What an amazing time! If you're looking for a boat tour for puffin, whales, and jigging for cod, this is the tour for you! Larry clearly puts your experience above everything else and ensures you get everything out of the trip that you want. The ocean was a bit choppy but he made sure that we all successfully caught our codfish! Can't recommend them highly enough. Amazing value.

We had the best time with Larry on his boat! It’s like getting on a boat with an old friend! His 40 years experience & boat make you feel very safe. We saw the beauty of the Bonavista from the ocean side & saw puffins. The highlight of the trip by far was jiggin’ for cod! On top of it all, we were having so much fun he stayed out with our group for 3 hours when the tour was 2. If we come back we will definitely be calling to book again! Thanks again so much Larry! An unbelievable experience with Cap’n Larry! He really took care of us and gave us the experience of a life time. The icebergs we visited and caves were spectacular. This visit was the highlight of our trip to NL thanks to Larry. Larry is simply the best, there is no one funnier and kinder than this seasoned sailor!

We had a fantastic tour with our family. Captain Larry made us feel most welcome on board, and showed us the amazing sights around Bonavista - gorgeous cliffs, puffins, jellyfish, a shark, and an amazing iceberg! Great value for money. A wonderful experience.

Captain Larry was the best. The whole experience exceeded my expectations from start to finish. He was more than accommodating and did everything in his power to make the iceberg boat tour the highlight of our trip. His thoughtfulness, kindness and caring nature was evident during the entire journey - he circled the bergs to make sure we had the best pictures to share, offered to take our pictures every time, and told hilarious stories in between bergs. I cannot imagine going to Bona Vista again and NOT seeing Cap'n Larry. If you're going to Bona Vista - definitely look Larry up, you will not be disappointed. Thanks again, Larry!!

Amazing trip had a blast could have spent the whole day out there. Larry is the best we loved every minute of our tour caught some cod. We see whales and puffin. Highly recommend going on this tour.

It was a very windy day but Larry took out 2 passengers. How wonderful to see the iceberg up close. The ride was exhilarating and even though I am not familiar with boats I felt totally safe. Since I was there for only one day I would have missed this if waited for perfect weather day. Thanks so much
