I don’t want to bash this place but just be wary. I adopted two kittens (6 months) from a local rescue and a week following their spaying surgeries from a different vet I brought them here to get their vaccinations before bringing them home. We trusted the young vet that she was doing her job but 2 days after bringing them both home one of the sisters became very sick and lethargic. We rushed her to the closest emergency vet and it took only 2 minutes for them to tell us her wound had opened and she had become septic for days! 48 hours after being “examined” we had to put or baby down for a wound that had been opened for at least 4 days according to the emergency vet. Not only was she not supposed to be vaccinated because of her wound opening, but she should not have gotten to the point she did if a proper exam had been performed. The young vet denies any wrong doing and the older vet signed off on the vaccinations without even being present. We were thankfully not charged for both of our kitties’ vaccinations but it kills me to know this could have been prevented or at least our kitty could have not suffered as much as she did. All I can say is to be cautious. I have heard of other misconduct at this vet and I don’t want anyone to have to experience what I went through.

Sadly we had to have our 18 year old dog put down this week. It was really heartbreaking, but Baddeck Veterinary Clinic were kind, compassionate and accommodating. It made a really sad experience much more tolerable. We will always be grateful to the doctor and staff for those last few minutes of holding her and patting her as she slipped away.

Brought this handsome creature in for some help. Allergy issues. Vet was quick, to the point. "Let's try this". So far, so good. Expensive, but that's the price you pay for the unconditional love they dish out every day. Would absolutely recommend!

I have a summer home in margaree and my dog took ill. The vet closer to us was of no help, didn’t even return my call. Found this baddeck vet on the web. Called and they were able to accommodate me with an after hour appointment. Got there and they diagnosed my dog, provided medication, and we were on our way. Glad to say my baby is doing much better. Thank you to this vet who was so responsive to our needs. He is my new go to vet for sure!!!!

A huge thank you to Baddeck Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Buckley for her professional and timely advice that saved me the worry and a long drive to an animal hospital. I'm visiting from Toronto and I truly appreciate her dedication to the welfare of pets. It's the the kind of service and commitment that's hard to find in a big city but am glad I found it here. The incident happened after hours and Dr. Buckley was very timely to return my call to provide advice and what makes her outstanding in her profession, in my opinion, was that she followed up with a phone call the next day to check if everything was ok. That was totally unexpected and that was what made all the difference and she deserves more than 5 stars!! Thank you Dr. Buckley!!

We were touring the Cabot Trail the other day when our dog ingested a marijuana joint that had been left in a park. We didn’t know who to call but were redirected to this clinic. Unfortunately, they couldn’t see us since they were very busy that day and we aren’t regular clients but the attending vet was so kind to us on the phone and even followed up with us by calling us later that night. We are very thankful! Thank you!

I am not sure that I will ever be able to do justice in a review for the “end of life care”we received for our beloved friend Lenny starting with the receptionist leading To Dr Henderson and Dr Mac Eachern. Both of them were so very gentle and kind attending and stroking Lenny to the very end. At the same time treating us with empathy. They made us feel as if they were going through this with us. We could not have asked for better support going through this difficult time. Thank You Ever So Much Gary and Pamela.

So they were great when we called the first time got our cat in and found a bad tooth, gave him a shot and said they would call on Monday. That call never came and after calling them for a week we still haven’t had a follow up or a date to remove the tooth. Cat is still not eating. So I guess we need to find another vet. Receptionist has been horribly dismissive and says doesn’t know anything and goodbye.
