(Translated) During our holiday in Baddeck we did a sailing tour with Amoeba Sailing Tours. It was fantastic. The crew was super nice and gave during the trip information about the places where we sailed past, among other things, it went past the huge absence of Alexander Graham Bell. The Bell Mansion is terrific. In bright sunshine we had a great time. (Original) Wir haben während unseres Urlaubs in Baddeck eine Segeltour mit Amoeba Sailing Tours gemacht. Es war fantastisch. Die Crew war super nett und hat während der Fahrt Infos zu den Orten gegeben an denen wir vorbeigesegelt sind, unter anderem ging es vorbei am riesigen Abwesen von Alexander Graham Bell. Die Bell Mansion ist grandios. Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein hatte wir eine tolle Zeit.

I went on this tour with my family and none of us enjoyed the tour at all. The best part of the tour was the bald eagles, but that lasts one minute during a 2 hour tour. They use the word “tour” fast and loose. There are a couple of crew members that walk around the boat and tell the customers about the history and facts of the mansion and Bell family, but none of them made it around to us. I could barely overhear a couple snippets of info while they spoke to other customers, but even that part of the “tour” is only during the first hour when you’re on your way to the mansion. The second half of the tour is just you staring at the water and wishing you were on a motor boat instead of a sail boat.

Nice sailing yacht with a very nice owner and crew. We enjoyed the sail, especially the feeding of the mating pair of bald eagles. We had great winds and we enjoyed the local lore from the owner and crew.

We absolutely loved our tour! The kids sit in the middle of the boat and have appropriately sized life vests. The staff was great with them. The captain spoke English and French. The tour length is about 90 minutes. There is a bathroom below, you will need to get down a steep staircase/ladder to get to it. They let the kids go down and look around, which was really fun for them. I would definitely recommend going and hope to enjoy it again myself.

Good value cruise around the bay with amusing Captain and crew providing the local touch. The eagle feeding gives a chance for a good photo of you are quick. Thoroughly enjoyed.

A very enjoyable sail accompanied by a well rehearsed commentary. Excellent views of bald eagles who oblige by coming close to the ship to pick up the frozen fish thrown to them. Good views of the buildings belonging to the Alexander Graham Bell family.

(Translated) Very beautiful sailing on the lake. Fantastic the white-tailed eagle. Unfortunately the weather was dry but cloudy. So the pictures of the white-tailed eagle are a bit blurry because of the long exposure time. The sailing tour is definitely recommended. The Creek competent and very friendly, always up for a joke. (Original) Sehr schöne Segeltur auf dem See. Phantastisch die Seeadler. Leider war das Wetter zwar trocken aber wolkenverhangen. So sind die Bilder der Seeadler etwas verschwommen aufgrund der langen Belichtungszeit. Die Segeltour ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Die Creek kompetent und sehr freundlich, immer zu einem Späßchen aufgelegt.

Leaving the dock off the main street in Baddeck the captain takes off through the beautiful Bras D'or lakes, and gives a stunning perspective of what we all take for granted. Being a local I can't believe I waited so long to do this tour. Well worth the 30$ and the 30 minute drive. The deckhands were friendly and informative as well as the extremely patient and nice women whose name I forget. See you again !!

Great value tour. Captain and crew like to joke that they don't know what they're doing but they could do this journey blindfolded. Only disappointment was the lack of drinks served on board, not sure why.

Boat looked nice. Would like to have done the tour but when we turned up on the day it said "sold out" and they were obviously pre-sold to coach loads of people. Call ahead if you plan to do this trip to avoid the same disappointment...
