Here you will be able to see all the opinions of real people like you who consume the products of Paladin Security Edmonton (Private Detective) in the area close to Alberta (Canada).
Nowadays this business has a score of 2.1 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 73 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is very low, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can conclude that the assessment is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Private Detective is classified in the category of Security guard service.
There is such a labour shortage and they still pay minimum or close to minimum wages.. everyone who works for them is looking to get out, it's just better than nothing job, good luck with getting quality people.. that's why you only see either 19 year olds or 60 year olds only working there.
I see them pushing homeless people and laughing. It's not right. This has to be stopped.
Great friendly staff, very helpful and well mannered.
There planned are owesome the way of security responcibilites...i just heard about that company basically i am part of G4S and i m having a good experience to recognised that this is a good security Company
The customer service you get here is amazing
The guards of this company working at one place I have seen are very rude and verbally abusive, when one approaches them for help
Worked for this company. Complete joke. They scam their employees any chance they get and they just don’t care about their front line staff. 0/5 stars.
Great senior management, endless opportunity for young professionals along with amazing training. Leaders in the Security industry.
I witnessed a Paladin Security guard come to a complete stop on a traveling lane 1:40 am Jan 2nd 2019 on the east side of the whitemud. No other cars in sight and came to a complete stop ahead of me. I had more than enough time to swerve to the left lane and check out why he had stopped. This security guard just looked at me then sped up and took the immediate next ramp. It is 100 percent illegal to come to a complete stop on a traveling lane without putting on your yield lights or pulling off to the shoulder. This is absolutely not okay, illegal and unsafe driving.
I was in city centre mall In Edmonton this morning and as I was leaving heading out of the mall I was busted by Justin one of your security person. I was not wearing a mask but had a Tim Hortons Ice Cap that I was drinking as I was leaving he approached me for not wearing a mask while drinking my Ice Cap he proceeded to suggest every time I take a sip I have to put on my mask. He was condensending and rude as I explained to him I was leaving and drinking I asked for his supervisor who was just as condensending and rude as Justin. What he suggested was ridiculous and if you have food establishments open in the mall then ppl will buy and eat or drink while walking. Both were a poor example of service and didn’t even give me the benefit of enjoying my beverage if this is what you hire pretty sad
Couldn't get hold of anyone & we're told we must call Paladin before the EPS.
I worked for Paladin Security about 6 years ago. I worked at the camp in fort mcmurray and was lied to about having a steady job. Instead they posted us to work a shutdown for 2 months and once it was over they kicked us out and told us to go back to Edmonton. I had then worked as a static guard for a year and a mobile driver for 4 months after that. After that they pulled me out of my area and placed me into another area where I had got into a car accident. They had called me into a meeting the next day and began to interrogate me as a police officer where I had then cut them off and walked out. Absolutely no respect, diplomacy or consideration. Do not ever work for this company or hire them !!
All the guards I have run into from this company except one (wait a minute nvm he got fired for doing his job) are all full of themselves and think they can push civilians around like they are cops....your NOT get over yourselves
Very bad service they can not understand the problem. Very bad staff they are not lesson the people. Very bad experience .
Great place to earn a decent paycheck, but that's about it. Barely any benefits, no night pay (even though you can be asked to work nights or even required) and no weekend pay. Management are pretty friendly, but will stick up for the company first before you. Front line guards are given no respect and will be tossed at the first inconvenience. If working for Paladin keep your mouth shut, head low and pray you don't end up getting canned for someone else's mistake.
They will call for the telephone interview, they will inquire about transportation if we should do part time or full time. And they'll tell you they'll call after 2 days but they won't call
Hung up the phone on me when I called to ask them why their guards couldn't handle their emotions, lost their temper, and assaulted someone. I guess being rude and angry is a requirement to work here.
Fantastic people clean store
Respect is a two way street. It's too bad that Paladin's guards or Greg Swecera don't understand this basic concept. Paladin is a broken company and a self inflicted black eye on any business that hires them.
Do NOT hire a company that doesn't care about it's guards or it's customers! Bad apples exist, but rotten ones will ruin the whole bunch. Don't take my review for it! Lol I've found Gardaworld and Commissionaires to both be much more competent and professional in contrast if you're looking for work or a security company to hire!
Literally the worst company I have ever worked for. They let me get bullied by a group in Calgary and ran me off site because they didn’t want any women on their team. Once I tried applying to work at their Edmonton location but needed to write my security test again, they set it up for me and never told me when it was! Then blamed ME because THEY didn’t tell me when the exam was going to be. Their guards LOVE going hands on, they laugh at anyone who would rather talk someone down. Honestly run far away from this company if your looking for work or security guards. Their terrible!
They do not train their guards, there is absolutely no professionalism, and there is a lot of internal racism with the guards.
These guards are always following me just because I'm Cree. Doesn't matter what I wear or who I'm with. They follow me. I've never been in trouble with the law or anybody. This racism has to end.
I would sooner leave my front door open than hire Paladin to guard it.
These guys beat up my friend so badly, he needed an ambulance. They kept on punching and kicking and punching and kicking and punching him on the floor even after he was unconscious.
The disgusting scene I watched play out at Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre last year was easily the most unnecessarily violent take down I have ever seen in my life. They threw a disabled man who was no threat to anybody to the ground so hard, they broke his nose. Then they kicked him, punched him in the head, and suffocated him while everyone looked on in horror. And the guards involved are still working for Paladin!!! Just how? There are so many complaints about them! So much rudeness, racism, and violence from these guards. Absolutely shameful. This company stinks from top to bottom.
I work in the security industry and any time I have to deal with a site that uses Paladin (especially the Edmonton area), I know I'm going to have a bad time. Every level of this company can best be described as incompetent and unprofessional. Their guards are unprofessional, slow to understand a given situation, and are obviously lacking the proper training needed to properly do their jobs.
This company's managers do not take complaints seriously and are disrespectful whenever you try to leave feedback. Since they laughed at me on the phone, I'll mention what happened here. After I saw a very brutal takedown with excessive force, I was compelled to speak up and attempt to prevent further harm to the man they assaulted. The guard told me to "Get the **** out of here, chug". "Chug is a racial slur, on par with the N word for natives. When I spoke with the manager of the Edmonton office, he burst out laughing when I said the word. Using excessive force at a mall and shouting slurs isn't funny to me, Kevin. What is wrong with you? When I learned my apartment building was in the market for a security solution, I went out of my way to ensure Paladin would not be chosen. Please don't use this company. Your customers and visitors deserve better.
I feel less safe with Paladin
Rude and dishonest.
You'll be lucky if they even show up when you hire them to unlock your building, constant misses and just a ridiculously poor level of service from this company. UPDATING THIS REVIEW THAT IT SHOULD ACTUALLY BE NEGATIVE 100 STARS MY GOD IS THIS COMPANY EVER COMPLETELY INEPT. PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND AVOID PALADIN AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
It's a good thing Paladin Security is a cold unfeeling business, because if they were aware of what a morally bankrupt company they are, they would die of shame.
One agent blocked me to get into a apple store, i had my mask, store was not busy, he told i could not get in, when I ask why he said he dident had to explain himself.... I could see sell girls doing nothing in back.... biggest problem is that the agent was rude and seem to be pretty happy with the little power trip he had.....
For anyone reading the reviews, be advised that Alexandra Lowe is a Director of Marketing for Paladin and left fake 5 star reviews for each and every one of Paladin's locations, in direct violation of Google's terms and services. My review: Watched these thugs harass and beat up a handicapped man a few years ago at a local mall. I asked them to identify themselves. They refused and threatened me. One of the guards said they were trained never to show ID and that the police would never do anything about it. This place operates with hostility for the general public. What a bunch of inept bullies. Oh hey, a response... Let's see here, Alexandra Lowe. You left fake Google reviews at each and every single one of Paladin's offices, then chose to respond to me with a poorly thought out form message that you copy pasted everywhere. You said you would speak to the site manager, except I never mentioned anywhere in my review about where the incident took place, so how would you know what site manager to speak to? So either you're lying or you're a psychic. And given the glut of fake 5 star reviews you sprinkled everywhere, I'm inclined to believe you're lying. Oh and by the way, what you did is against Google's rules. You're not supposed to leave reviews for places you work for. For a "Director of Marketing", I would have thought you'd know this already, Alexandra. If Paladin was really the upstanding company you say it is, then you would have had no problem following the rules. It's this kind of shady behaviour and contempt for the rules that have resulted in the low public opinion of your company. Give your head a shake. This is pathetic.
very Intimidating security guards. but their supper cute.
DO NOT HIRE PALADIN! EXPECT MULTIPLE NO CALL/ NO SHOWS from their employees. If I could give - 1000 stars I would. I work for a popular health care facility that employs paladin security. Their guards are supposed to work a night shift. Their guards NO CALL/NO SHOW on an ongoing basis. No warning. Just straight up don’t show up to their scheduled shifts without calling in to alert staff. Absolutely ridiculous that a healthcare facility pays a hefty contract for guards to come in and keep an eye on the building and they straight up don’t show up. There are several guards who have failed to show up thousands of times throughout the year. Absolutely ridiculous. Because of their unprofessionalism and lack of communication, I have had to stay at work for 13 hours just to provide coverage. I am not even a security guard myself! I work in administration and have no choice but to BE A SECURITY GUARD because paladin could not even have the decency to call and provide notice that no staff will be providing relief. Sometimes nurses will have to play security guard because there is no one that shows up. Awful company with terrible management. The guards and management simply do not care. They encourage no shows! Management can’t even have the decency to call a popular hospital to let them know “hey you won’t have a security guard tonight”. As a result of their poorly run company, I have had to work 13 hours on multiple occasions without being able to eat or drink water for 8 or more hours, no breaks to even pee! How can a company be so cruel to other employees to let this happen! TERRIBLE. This company needs to be shut down forever.
Totally worthless during the Southgate robbery.
good potential but make sure you have good manager. Officers earn very low wages - $13.50 too start. Use to have good management but now gone and now most colleagues and me have no manager at all! Work there 2.5 years and no raise even though manager try to get me one before he leaves. Use to be able to reach manager all the time. Now you are lucky to get call back in 2 maybe 3 days!!The manager will make all the difference. Try to get you higher pay and paying site and try to get you OT. Calld at all hours from operation to try to get you in to shift at 3am! Clients good to officers to and try to get staff more money. Then to find out they charge over double what they pay us but yet no raise for staff. Good hard working staff so top service but not best for employment.
Very disappointed.
Way too much force by the guards here at the mall on someone I saw. This company doesn't seem very professional or well trained
These "insecurity" guards are the most unprofessional group of louts I've ever seen in the security industry. The casual racism is disgusting and the physical violence is unnecessary and excessive. Don't use this company. Your customers will thank you.
Beware Mobile clients of Paladin Security, The mobile department of Paladin Security has their new office in the same building that COVID-19 tests are being done. This means that any mobile Paladin gaurd can be contaminated and therefore is cross contaminating your business/building. This is really danger to you the clients and your staff.
Worst company! Management belittles there staff! The CSM of parking is a horrible person,. Can't keep staff. Huge turn over rate!
Racicest company.
I don't think Paladin Security is a good fit for Edmonton or Alberta in general. They refuse to get their act together even after several high profile problems involving their guards. They don't care. Even worse, they know they don't care. Their company operates on a foundation of bad faith decisions and interactions. Picking on the city's most vulnerable people and using racist terms is horrific and unacceptable.
Can be very expensive but there are products I don't see anywhere else!
Very disappointing.
Very nice and good-hearted night manager clean and comfortable ????
Don't let their advertising fool you. Their corporate culture is garbage and the way they rough handle people is awful. The Facebook video of their guards kicking that guy on the ground should be a wake-up call to anyone who uses this company. The news needs to expose these bad people.
If you wanted to be put into dangerous job positions where your risk of being seriously assaulted is a daily reality (and does occur), or otherwise overworked and GROSSLY underpaid, Paladin is the employer for you! This company bills an employee out but only pays them maybe 10% of that. They will rotate your schedule until your brain can barely recover, and they have found a way to arrange your schedule so there is no such thing as overtime or double time and half for working holidays. If you get injured during training or on the job, don't count on Paladin to pay you for loss of wages. Paladin has a lot of room to improve but I doubt they ever will.
Great staff, very helpful and well mannered. Definitely more professional then Garda.
