The overall experience was very professional. The knowledge delivered by the instructor went beyond the textbook and it was supplemented with relevant details that enhanced the curriculum. I am an avid, through and hard reviewer, in other words I review only the very good and the worse of my personal experiences. That said, here is one of my good ones. Simply, because I learned a vast amount of new things about the law, legal systems, legal terms and lots about the private investigations world. I was successful because of what I was thought. In addition, the price was right. Canadian School of Private Investigation and Security Ltd, delivered to me a curriculum that was expert, professional and delivered by a knowledgeable professor. Other Instructional staff and delivery of content was also second to none. All materials thought to me was current and related. As a result has geared my road of success in a career in the industry. In addition, I found the materials thought in class being 100% related to preparing me to be successful to passing the ministry’s test but most of all endorse my confidence to be a great professional in the industry. Again, the faculty knows their content and delivered it in the most clear and concise way to put me on the path of success. It was a great deal of content to learn in 6 days. Therefore, I paid attention, did the few assignments, and got out of it what I put in, success to the level I wanted. I had reviewed and considered a few other schools but I am fortunate that I chose Canadian School of Private Investigation and Security Ltd as my leader in the industry. From enrollment and to the overall completion. From the beginning, I was impressed. The first meeting was with Mr. Franco who asked questions to ensure I was suitable for the program before I paid my tuition. Essentially ensuring I didn’t waste my money. To me, that’s honesty at its best in such a competitive world and industry. Secondly, I met Dora who handle my tuition and also shared her expertise in various administrative parts of the program. The syllabus I learned made the test preparation guide on the ministry site a very easy to review and understand extra source for the test and learning. Finally, I’m in college in a paralegal program and the instruction and legal content I learned at Canadian School of Private Investigation and Security Ltd is a definite asset in my college program. So far, I have an advantage on other students because most of the content in my college program to date is the same I was thought at Canadian School of Private Investigation and Security Ltd. I've emailed them numerous times and haven't gotten a response from them. I initially gave them 1 ⭐️. I got a call from them prior to Christmas and I got the opportunity to meet I person today. Very friendly place and were very apologetic about not responding earlier. I spoke with them and informed them about my plans and they explained thoroughly what is expected from me. I will be going to the school in the very near future. Was very satisfied with how everything has turned out.

I am currently attending and private investigator prelimimary training course here. What I have experienced here so far has been fantastic, the instructor is highly knowledgeable about the industry and does an excellent job at communicating the information in a way that is easy understandable for anyone willing to learn it. The school is very friendly and is well situated in an area where food, beverages and a variety of vehicle services are accessible. The course may be a little more than the contending online programs in its class, however I found being able to have a shoulder to lean on so to speak makes it much easier if any occurrences where to arise regarding the program. They have offered to assist with direction for individuals who pass the exam prior to the course who are looking to get in the field. They offer hands on training and have equipment to help familiarize individuals with the respective equipment they are to be using in their fields of placement. So far I have no objections

When I was considering which college to take the Security Guard license preparation course, I looked at which schools were government approved for the training. From there I called around for prices. CSPIS had the best price of these registered schools, and a very convenient location. When I saw the CSPIS logo, I realized I had seen it more than 20 years ago when I was in high school. Professional training is a difficult form of teaching, and one's company does not stay in business 25 years without knowing their market and satisfying the expectations of students, regulatory agencies and so on. When I took the course, I found our instructor knowledgeable and professional. He made the class experience less formal and intimidating. He used humor as a way to change pace and keep learning enjoyable, and his lecture on the history of law enforcement was fascinating. Thanks, CSPIS, for a great course.

While attending the school it has taught me not only the core solid foundations of security, but also an in-depth description of case studies pertaining to various laws and regulations correlated to sections and codes of the charter. All points covered in class are not only descriptive and presented in a professional manner, but also greatly prepares you for successful completion of the ministry test following your course. Would definitely recommend this location not only for its quality of education, but also convenience and free parking as well as established connections to help you find employment within the security sector as well.

I took security guard training here. The class was great experience. It was informative, I enjoyed it and the instructors were well prepared and knowledgeable. It was a great experience. I recommend this school to others.

I was a student there in 2010. The training was OK but not very test-oriented and not very rigorous. I can definitely say the instructor made the course as fun as he possibly could, but at the end of the course I was not very confident I could pass the test. YOU HAVE TO STUDY THE MINISTRY MATERIAL CAREFULLY ON YOUR OWN. The CPR training was very good. Ask them how many mock tests they will give you during the course. They gave us 1 which I think was too few. The tuition for me was $500. Later I found out that big security companies offer the same training for around $350 (Again, this is 2010 information).

The practical stategies taught were invaluable. I learned helpful and relevant insights into human nature. So last year I was interested in taking the 3 month PI course. I called the school, and Mr. Franco said to come in to see if I qualify for financial aid. I got there, and let me tell you the place is dirty and run down. I went to the washroom, it was tiny and filthy. The toilet was loose, and nearly tipped over. Clearly they don't care enough to clean or maintain the place. I then had to take an aptitude test, which was missing a page. But that didn't seem to matter, as I passed anyway. Mr. Franco told me I didn't qualify for financial aid, (he could of told me over the phone) and wanted to sign me up for a monthly payment plan. I didn't go for the payment plan, but I did put down $500 towards the course. (Big mistake). A year goes by with covid lockdowns, and I decide I cannot go through with the course. I asked for my $500 to be refunded, thinking Mr. Franco would cheerfully refund it. WRONG. I called multiple times, and his lackey at the front desk says Mr. Franco is "out of the office", or "in a meeting". When in reality he is 25 feet down the hall hiding in his cluttered dirty office. I then received a letter that said I am not getting my $500 refunded. I find this to be very unethical behavior. Mr. Franco only cares about getting his claws into your wallet, and ounce they are in, he is not letting go, even if common decency and common sense say that is the right thing to do. Very unprofessional, very unethical. So this is my real life experience, and I stand 100% behind my review. I hope after reading this review you will seriously reconsider doing any business at all with this horrible place.

Excellent real world experiences are used to illustrate all of the topics covered. I really respect the instructors who do this kind of work day to day in addition to teaching the Private Investigation course. There are details to various laws that are best explained by people who work with them on a daily basis. The classes were interesting. All questions were answered with the goal of the student getting a good understanding. If you pay attention and take notes then there should be no problem passing the Ontario P.I. exam. There are many new terms and legal concepts that must be mastered as you move through the course. If you are fluent in English and you study you should breeze through the program.

I highly recommend CSPIS. I took their Private Investigator training program in April 2014. My instructor was very knowledgeable about private investigations, and peppered his lectures with interesting, relevant, and sometimes funny anecdotes from his real world experience as a PI. Their training program is recognized by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and it prepared me very well for the license exam. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in investigative services, I highly recommend this course. Side note - I began this course having already earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, and I learned a lot of invaluable practical information.

But the Theory and Practical information i received by taking this course was exceptional.. not only did it highlight everything i did not know, but it also gave me a better understanding of things i did know....the Lecturer was well educated and taught basically from memory, which gave us the opportunity to practice note taking.. The Administrator Dora is very sweet and very helpful....definitely would recommend this course rather than someone doing it online.
