A quick Thank you to the guys at CPIS. in 2019, A driver of ours claimed an injury at work. We heard from people in the community that he was working as an owner operator for another company. Surveillance followed him and confirmed he was working. Investigator followed him from Brampton to outside Detroit in his truck. Employee fired for fraud, and his WSIB claim was cut off.

last year we had an employee who was injured onsite. His accident was not seen by anyone, so naturally we were suspicious. Our HR decided to call CPIS for some on advice on surveillance. At the end of the day, our "injured Guy" was found (due to surveillance) to be working pouring concrete forms in Etobicoke. We hired a lawyer, passed the video and report to WSIB. The WSIB case manager told me off the record the surveillance video was some of the best he had seen in 20 years in his job. We called 3 other companies, either nobody answered or they didn't want to work with a smaller company. I know construction, I don't know injury investigations, thank God these guys do!

My firm has never hired an investigator in the past. We needed to determine if an injured worker was legitimately injured or not. The consultantation process was straightforward, and the work was completed on time. As it turned out our employee was a lot more active than they claimed to be, we got some great video of their day to day abilities. Having a claim is brutal for a small business, but knowing there are investigators out there to help was a great relief.

I wish I could go into specifics. I have NEVER seen more damning surveillance video. Our firm uses Investigation firms occasionally for WSIB claim investigation. Fee structure was fare (about $65.00 an hour) online deliver of video and report was timely.
