Best hospital center in town. Most caring doctors, compassionate staff, state of the art equipment.
One of the best hospitals in the city. If you have to wait here a while, walk across the street and up a few blocks and grab a bagel at NY Bagels & Cafe.
I am writing this to thank you Dr. Maureen AIDA, Emergency Physician who took care of me last year just before Covid. I had type A flu, I thought was dying. She and her staff were very compassionate and dedicated. Being an emergency room physician is so hard because you are not sure what can happen next.., the only thing I can say that I was in shock and she saved my life. I am Health care worker and employee at NYU in the city, and I appreciate everyone who looked out for me that night!!! Thank you
This hospital is the only hospital that I trust. They have literally saved my lives many times since I am currently battling stomach cancer. They know their business and this hospital is very well run with so many professionals that I feel relieved just by being there. The hospital food is wonderful and the staff is excellent ❤️
Potentially the most inefficient process I have ever been involved in. Epitomizes ER stereotypes. Could save a lot of money for hospital and time for patients if employees put thought into things. If you go to ER be prepared to wait and be awed by inefficiencies.

Birth of beautiful, wonderful Kid #1 (Kata!) and equally amazing and heart-thumping Kid #2 (Uta)--if this hospital does nothing else throughout the course of all future history, the fact that this much JOY JOY JOY came from this one place right up 1st Avenue from where we live our lives down on 23rd and FDR has seared itself into my heart as par par and par excellence!!!--Thank YOU!!!
Thank You for Saving My life!
The staff here are on the "rough"-er side, and by that I mean ghetto-- especially the nurses, aides, and secretaries. It's hard to navigate the healthcare system when the staff you have the most face-time with completely lack professional demeanors, (Read: bad grammar, tattoos, flashy jewelry, wild hairstyles, etc). Not to mention, many nurses are also obese, how can you trust someone to take care of your health when they don't take care of their own? Healthcare is a business and many NYU employees do not meet the expectations of what you would expect from a workplace/business in Manhattan. Doctors and residents, on the other hand, are normal, educated, have excellent professional demeanor, and know how to relate to their patient population. Unfortunately, you don't have as much face time with doctors as you do with the ancillary staff. I suggest bringing your loved ones to a more "refined" healthcare institution such as Columbia/Cornell, Johns Hopkins, U. Penn, Yale.
Billing department is a joke. Had a small cost share (under $200) for my physician visit. Never sent me a bill. Never sent me payment instructions. Never even made a phone call. I only found out when they sent me to collections. So be advised that even routine care here runs the risk of damaging your credit because they can't manage basic invoicing.

Treated for stage 4 lung cancer with multiple brain metastases by Drs. Patrick Kelly, John Golfinos, Bernard Crawford & Roman Perez Soler. I'd have to say the care was "fairly adequate" since I was treated in 1999 and completed ALL treatment in 2000. Langone flies under the radar compared to the much vaunted MSKCC & MDA. From the doorman to the Dept Chairs I was treated like royalty despite being some everyday schmo stage4survivor
The best hospital of all time the nurses, cna, doctors, can,, staff are really at there best thanks to all nurses in this time in need MAY ALL GOD'S BLESSED them all
Nice place to work. For MS nurses, the ratios are pretty good so far.

Great service ????
One of the better hospitals in Manhattan. Emergency room provides quick attention. Doctors and staff are friendly and thorough. Hospital is clean.
The best hospital
I was diagnosed with a torn artery and discharged. Days later, I was told my condition was life-threatening and never should have been discharged. ER is overcrowded, billing department is nothing short of surly, and I literally almost died coming here. Stay away.
The service was ok at best. However, the real reason I am writing this review is to warn others to beware of the docs of this location swindling you for procedures you may not necessarily need, without informing you of the procedure or the fact that the procedure will incur a next fee. For me, I initially visited for a physical and received an extra procedure that I did not request, and was charged for it (my insurance covered the physical). This is what I experienced and when I brought this issue up to Customer Relations, they were kind enough to assist me the best they could, BUT THE DOCTORS NEVER GOT BACK TO ME WITH A SUITABLE REASON AS TO WHY I WAS BILLED FOR THE EXTRA PROCEDURE I DIDN'T ASK FOR!! I am very disgusted with how this was handled by this institution and I hope no one else is a victim of this robbery like I was. They are only looking to get a quick cash grab and if you aren't careful, you can be next....
Lazy nurses. Pretty good doctors
Love this hospital
Pretty good hospital but the billing department is terrible they are a bunch of thieves that sometimes administer medicine.
This is the worst hospital I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The pediatric urologist here has the rudest bedside manner. She called to talk down on me when I questioned why a medication was recommended but never prescribed and was defensive about all of it, making it clear to me that she is more concerned about protecting her medical license than she is treating the condition of a helpless young child. I would have given her a personal review, but the whole system is in disarray. Making an appointment is next to impossible because one person will tell you to come in at such and such time, but when you do, you are greeted with a “your appointment isn’t until....” I’ve had to call 4 people half a dozen times before any call was returned. They should put up a sign that reads, we want your money/ we don’t care about you, so at least I was prepared for what I was getting in to.
Coming for Brother Alex
Simply unprofessional approach by most of the staff, they are sure make you feel as a burden not like a client. Don’t waste your time coming to this hole
Best school ever. Highly recommended. I had a great experience being a patient at their dental school. Med Students are smart and know their job. Although tuition is very expensive but it is worthy. Has a very good reputation and offer a good learning environment than some of the SUNY school.
Hospital is a joke. Nurses are SO rude.
My son was admitted at the NYU Langone Medical Center epilepsy unit on 10/09/2013. The reason my son was admitted by his doctor was to find out where his seizures was coming from, by provoking a seizure so the doctor could provide the right medication to stop the epilepsy seizures. On Saturday, December 14, 2013, my son had epilepsy seizure. and a nurse form the ward unit called Five (5) security men to hold down my son by his legs, and they were pressing on my son shoulder so hard that they dislocated his shoulder and the so called doctor came after my son had the seizure. The nurse that was in his care had no idea in what to do, and my son IV therapy came off because while my son was having a seizure. The nurse was telling my son "THINK ABOUT BLUE", in where I have never heard such of nonsense. The Five security men made my son bleeding from the nose, bruises in his body and dislocated his shoulder. For several days the orthopedic doctor refused to order my an MRI. The NYU Lancôme epileptic doctors is given my son Percocet for pain. He has a 10 for pain. I called the office of Dr.Dean Grossman( NYU Lancôme Hospital Administrator) on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, and nothing his did not have this matter solved. My son doctor informed my wife that my son may need physical therapy for his dislocated shoulder. I want the hospital to be responsible for my son transportation from home to the hospital for physical therapy and from the hospital back to his house, Co-payments and also I want my son to be compensated for the days he is going to out from work because of the dislocated shoulder that the security guards did. No one is taking responsibility but the room video, my wife and my daughter witness this injured and abuse to our son.
They are the best with quality service from the non clinical staff to the medical staff, God bless them
One of the worst hospital in New York City there rating don’t know how they got it out it should be lower way lower at the bottom . From management to Nurses which are the worst in all hospital . I Recommend Colombia over NYU ???? %
best wishes
Nice hospital. Need to check with front desk to know the best direction to go on the service.
I was recently admitted to this hospital for a surgical procedure and I cannot thank the teams of doctors and nurses enough. They truly made sure that I was taken care of and comfortable. I was in tears leaving the hospital because what I will remember even through so much pain is the incredible care that each person gave to me while there. Best decision to come to this hospital. I cannot say thank you enough to each and every staff member; from the ER nurses/physicians, to specialists, anesthesiologists, nurses, nurses in training, cleaning, and food staff + more. Everyone was so kind and I will always be grateful! Furthermore, the room I was in was so beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Thank you all!
I am not affiliated with NYU LH in any shape or form, neither as a client nor a patient. However, one must give heed to the horror stories I am reading in the reviews. It is difficult to digest and harder to swallow. I had to give stars to place my narrative. Three is fair for what I am reading.
Friendly and fast traige and explain everything clearly
Good service and care.
The receptionist was really rude especially the bald guy. The staff doesn’t treat you like a human.
The best place in town
Don’t go if u have really emergency Especially at night am Emergency room doesn’t have really Doctors Only nurses They going to send you home quickly or send you to other hospital if you need real attention Hope you listen
Came here to visit a friend, only one visitor allowed at a time, you are required to wear a mask here, the place was rather quiet when I was here with very few people. This pretty much sums it up for this location, I pray that you should never have to come here again!
Fantastic doctors and nurses, they treat patients with care and dignity!!! Feel blessed!!
Thank you guys. Your are the best
Thank you so much for treating me so nice!!!!!!!!!! greatly appreciated!!!!! Especially Dr. Jeffry Gamms and Dr. Tamas A Gonda...
I went to NYU for my mom procedure they don’t care patients well. And nurses are little rude.because I was waiting half an hour to get someone bring her outside.
I love this hospital
Went to ER and nobody cared about us. The worst customer care ever.
Staff very snobby!!!! Overall sucks!!!!
(Translated) Things are good (Original) Все хорошо
The moment you walk in, the staff look forward to helping you. they even walk you to your destination if it must be. the staff are extremely courteous and respectful that makes it so much easier to walk into a hospital or a facility unaware of who you going to meet and what's going to happen and the minute you walk in you are treated with such respect. you are a perfect example of how people should be treated everywhere. thank you so much.
I spent 4 days in the hospital after my son was born. The doctors at NYU are absolutely amazing but I can not possibly continue writing this review without mentioning the amazing nurses on the labor and delivery floor as well as the post labor floor. They are the most caring, supportive and friendliest nurses I have ever met. I could not have gotten through my experience without their loving touch and their years of knowledge and experience.
I used to praise NYU for being the best. For the past two years, they have gone to the dumps. esp. this recent handing out Doctors their name like candy. I used to go because they were very specific about who they would allow under their umbrella, and rightfully so. I have gone to 2 PCPs for a pain I have had for 4 months that I ignored because I was going to medical school myself. Not once was I offered antibiotics, which, is already questionable. So far, I found an amazing old school OB/GYN on ZocDoc who checked my ovaries and egg count without even asking! I asked an OB/GYN at NYU to check since I am 35 and around the age where risk gets higher to have kids -- her arrogant attitude + refusal to do so = ciao baby There is one good OB/GYN at NYU that I started to go to years ago (before this mess happened at NYU) but he barely has availability. I am unclear if there is too much fear of lawsuits at NYU facilities that I cannot get anything as simple as an antibiotic. So, I will stick with old-fashioned doctors to avoid some scenarios, where, as I learned in medical school - that an individual could die or undergo severe injury if antibiotics are not administered based on symptoms before the lab results come in. I have Bell's Palsy and had a few recurrences so I am not taking that risk. Lab results are a handicap to this facility, do doctors at this facility know how to diagnose an individual by mere symptoms at NYU Langone? I already knew all I needed were antibiotics so I'm not sure what is going on with this organization (or disorganization for that matter) but I'm not going to have a severe problem based on whatever the heck is going on lately. I am leaving NYU and searching for more independent, perhaps a bit run down facility but full of heart, something NYU has lost.
I was there March 1st For a procedure.involving putting.a stint in my right leg.i gave the nurses a hard time.but I really.appreciated.the concern that.they had for me.
Dr Raquel B Dardik was very unprofessional, after 1 hour waiting in an examination room I was told that she had to leave for a meeting and could not see me.
Went by there today. The people at the green pathway were most helpful, both the nurses at the entrance and the security guard.
This hospital needs better time management. People who visit hospitals are in pain or some sort of discomfort and requires medical attention! I feel like either the hospital can not manage the volume of patients or they just don't care enough to promptly provide treatment.
Had a horrible experience here. Sat in a chair for almost 12 hours with my mom. First came in as ER patient, sat to be served for about 3 hours. Was told X rays were needed, sat after X rays for another 2 hours. Then was told needed a CT scan, sat for 3 more waiting to get scanned then another 3 hours to hear the results. You’re better off going to an Urgent care rather than this place. Just sitting and waiting for hours being told no answers for long time, since this place is understaff. Do not waste your time.
Who manages the people at the call centers who take appointments? They should be fired. And then the staff should be fired. And that is only the beginning of this profit driven machine. No care for patients under the guise of patient care. Regrettable choice.
NYU Langone is great! My most trusted hospital!
I received care at NYU's Langone Medical Center in 2012. NYU's billing department has the worst customer service and the worst attention to detail that I have ever encountered. NYU's billing departments are divided into different entities that do not communicate with each other. This has made it exceptionally difficult for me to not only manage my bills and communication with NYU, but it has made it difficult for my insurance company to resolve payment conflicts with the various billing departments. I have been charged multiple times for the same procedure, which my insurance company became involved with and resolved. I was yelled at by a billing department customer service representative when I attempted to dispute a claim. Instead of sending a bill with one figure, NYU sends multiple bills, without comprehensive description of treatment that the patient can understand. After I had gone through much difficulty to clarify the charges and paid them on time, I asked for a receipt to be sent to me from NYU's billing department. I was never sent a receipt (its been 4 months). On top of everything, I just received an additional bill for treatment that I received 8 months ago. What kind of business is so disorganized that they are not even able to bill their patients in a timely manner? I have no confidence that I can trust the NYU billing department to bill me in a correct and efficient manner. DO NOT go to NYU unless you want to spend hours on the phone attempting to straighten out your charges.
Nyu is very bad bad hospital doing double billing to people nyu send me bill 2 years later to pay bill full
Their virtual sick visits are the worst, literally the most pointless experience ever but an awesome way to get more money while putting in little to no work. Don't even get me started on the horrible MyChart app that has been a pain to find documents in!
one of the best!
Starting from the telephone system. Wait 30 to 45 minutes before you are connected. Then be transferred to department to department. Leave messages with your doctor or send and email and do not hold your breath. Radiology is totally inept and the next time I hear, "We are sorry", I want to kill myself.
#1 Hospital and Drs.
Doctors and assistants are extremely combative and insecure. Not a great way to start the day.
They were an amazing team and I loved all my doctors and nurses!!!
NYU Hospital definitely their service is not so good on May 18 at 5:45 a.m. They took me out of a bed to move to the waiting room after a back surgery. they sat me in a very uncomfortable chair for 7 hours, feeling very cold. I asked a nurse to help me because the chair was not comfortable and that I was very cold, she didn’t even give me any attention. At 10am I felt very bad and very cold, the truth was, the treatment was very bad, they did not help me and I had to be like that until my daughter helped me out of that hospital at 1:00 pm. Very unfortunate because the day before in May 17 12:00 pm the service was great I’m putting 3 stars because the service on May 18th was terrible but the service on May 17 was amazing.
NYU LANGONE is an excellent hospital facility The nursing staff are great—- competent, caring and expert, Highly recommend !
life learning area
The operator #4 is a waist of life. I have been trying to reschedule an appointment for the past half hour and can' t seem to be able to get transferred to the correct department. Whoever is highering and managing these "operators" that will not disclose there names, should be fired along with the operators themselves. It is literally a group of unaccountable, uneducated, barbaric, animals. I will no longer do business with this hospital.
Horrible experience at this hospital with the nursing staff on the 10th floor. They were dismissive, did not give me updates only after I complained. Doctors did not include me in my son’s treatment plan as well as did not act on information regarding his safety. My son was born at Tisch. I went back 19 years after his birth to find the care and practices were less than kind If you have a choice I suggest Columbia.
I believe that is a very racist place to work. I have sent an application and the HR called after 3 months. After the interview the so called representative issued a series of unrealistic requests like collecting the e-mails from previous employers since the HR Dept. does not call for references. This was the weirdest request of ALL. If the HR does not do the check, who checks the references? I give one star because is the only option.
best ever. professional, fast, great communication.
Andrew Rubin has turned his show into a multi hour liberal rant. Non stop taking about masks and trying to get employees of airlines and stores fired… even commenting on how he was going to fight someone on a flight because he is a “very fit 6’2 guy”. Talk about bragging … If you want to talk masks and health fine but make it go both ways. Trying to ruin people you don’t agree with, while many famous liberals have gone without masks, shows his extreme bias. Andrew has helped so many people and provides a valuable service but covid has turned him into a hateful, vengeful, and arrogant human.
Knowledgeable quick effective
I was born there and I'm still alive now so it can't be all bad.
My husband was admitted for an infection brought on by lymphedema in his legs. Every one from the janitor to the doctors were amazing. I've never been to a hospital that treat a patient so well.
This hospital is not for there people and the care of how people feel or injuries .. they set up faulty ID cards to doctors who are non existent sent me for an appointment to send me right out the door with injuries and no help I don’t trust the hospitals for reasons like this and judge you on your name
Really good care of patient and of course.. Good doctors. Thanks to all in NYU
I would give 10 stars for the incredible job done by cardiologist Dr. Babaev and his staff on the 5th floor. But the crew on the 3th floor(after procedure) did not deserve even 1 star. Unprofessional, lazy, not caring staff.
A family member of mine passed away in the emergency room. The staff was excellent, compassionate and empathetic. Everyone from the front desk clerical staff; the nurse and physician who addressed our family; to the patient transport personnel. You were just AWESOME. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to excellence.
Great
Great staff!
Super clean, lovely drs.
Worst customer service ever. Went in to see a hematologist for medical care and he refused to help me until I started balling my eyes out upon departure. No sense of ethics or compassion what so ever.
I'm from out of town and I thought New York has the best hospital. Man I was wrong I been throwing up and sever pain and they try to give me Tylenol in pill form I throw that up if I could take pills I would of not come here I'm n so much pain. I give it one stars for the nurses they are awesome and caring. The other hand the doctor are not don't check up on you tell you what going on doesn't keep u informed at all if I ever visit NY again I will not bring my family or myself here at all. Their were bloodied bandages on the floor an blood on the floor. One of the nastiest Emergency room I've ever been too.
I had a great experience here. My son had a surgery at the OR here and got transferred to the Pediatrics later on. All the doctors and nurses I met are so nice and caring I almost forgot they are not my relatives or close friends! I just wish their location is not so far away from subway or civilization...
Awesome staff! Everyone so courteous and professional. Doctors answered all questions. Truly great care providers!
The worst. I will never come here again. Doctors and nurses are fine but it is a chaotic mess.
nice clinic and doctor who treated me was fantastic, the front desk staff could be little bit more helpful.
I am so proud for you to chael Chow, MD you are saved my life also you are so professional work You are a perfect picture of this hospital, Took of fish bone from my Tonsils I feel so blessed to know you are hospitality
Dr.Euna Lee is the most horrible person, unprofessional, disgusting dr. you will ever get in contact with.
Terrible front desk and service
I've had surgery twice at NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan - once elective surgery and once emergency surgery. Both times the surgeries went very well and the medical supervision and care that the hospital provided exceeded my expectations. Everyone I dealt with (surgeons, nurses, transporters, elevator operator) literally every staff member, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, comforting and accommodating. They just opened up the new Kimmel Center too where every overnight patient gets their own room. Everything was extremely clean and very high tech. When I left the hospital, I received a thank you card and some follow up phone calls from the staff to see how I was doing on my own. I was very impressed with the care I received and I would highly recommend NYU Langone Health.
Staff and Dr's,nurses take very good care of the patients and they r very professional
Beautiful world class hospital
Doctors are good. The billing department is like loan sharks. They will assign you out-of-network physicians and resources without notifying you. And this will cost you thousands of dollars. I kid you not, a man at their billing department forwarded my call to a Chinese restaurant when I called to complain about the fact that they committed surprise billing by assigning me out-of-network doctors.
N.Y. doesn't have the coldest winters and the hottest summers You need to fix that LIE now
I was feeling very poorly and could barely speak called in to get some information from them to see whether I could just get to the emergency as soon as possible. Firstly the line on here isn’t the correct one and it redirects you by asking you to press 0. Got transferred to a guy who barely took time to listen to me and transferred me to emergency. Once I got to emergency the lady didn’t even try to ask what’s wrong or how can she help she just said you can come in we’re open and hung up.
they on your side from A to Z from the minute you go in to the second you leave a very pleasant experience. THANK YOU
The staff who took care of my daughter in the Emergency Room and on the 13 floor of the Kimmel Pavillion were outstanding! Their attention to patient care and professionalism is to be praised. The facility is state of the art and I am grateful for their service!
Doesn't values patients time, huge lack of coordination between departments. Had a whole day of testing for a clinical trial. First appointment was at 8am. And well all these appointments were scheduled like 3 months ago so feel they had more time to organize better times. Ran around to different buildings between 32 and 38th st for the appointments. No time for a proper breakfast or lunch or even much of a break. Until 3pm when I was told to head back to my doctor office to pick up the meds. They said don't be late ... Meds didn't arrive till 5pm... Then had to make my way back home in Jersey City, by time back was exhausted... Basically went to bed but now 1am woke up with a stomach ache probably from not eating dinner with meds. Pretty much feel dealing with NYU is worse than being dead...
Best healthcare in NYC
Like most NYC hospitals it can get busy and may be understaffed. However I feel that some of the nurses are overwhelmed by the amount of work and patients they have to tend to. I was in the ER for the flu and bad gastric pains. I don’t understand why it took over two hours to get my pain medication. I know it was busy and as the physician assistant said, they have other priorities like the people brought in from the ambulance... but two hours? For the pharmacy to approve toradol? On top of that my father had to keep flagging down anyone he could because I was in agonizing pain reminding them of the pain reliever. He also suggested morphine because that’s what I received last time I was here and in other hospitals across the city since it relieves my acid reflux and severe abdominal pain. I am not trying to brag but my father is also an RN and knew that toradol wouldn’t help me and is why when I was being discharged I was still in a lot of pain and continued to vomit when I came home. Not to mention I went back to the ER, but this time went to Bellevue Hospital.
I must say the staff could not have been any better and Dr. Glickman is the absolute best. The team is incredible and I cannot thank Dr. Glickman enough for changing my daughter’s life. If there were 100 stars to give in this review I would give 101.
Disgrace…
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! The Worst!! I have to wait in a line of 22 people literally out the door to check (8 Kiosks, 2 people working) in for my appointment, by the time I finally got there they told me I would have to reschedule for ANOTHER 3 months from that point, the first Appointment ALSO took 3 months. I told them that my Medication would run out before then. (my original Doctor was on sick leave) the office manager named Yvonne promised me it wouldn't, she lied, "IT DID" they left me with a DANGEROUS MONTH LONG LAPSE in my medication. I contacted them COUNTLESS TIMES, through calls, emails, and messages, and was completely IGNORED!! I would NEVER in a million years trust my health with these people, They clearly showed me they could care less!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
World Class, well organized, patient focused.
By having all my healthcare needs addressed with NYU Langone, I feel as if I have a healthcare team at my disposal 24/7/365. NYU Langone's doctors provide excellent, individualized and in depth preventative and emergency care. Location: Conveniently located at the state of the are NYU Langone Medical Center complex. Plenty of parking in the surrounding blocks, and easy access via. Mass transit. The Care: With all the advanced medical care that NYC has to offer, I feel as if there is no equal to what NYU Langone has to offer. Wait times have always been minimal (Less than 5 minutes) to nonexistent. The patient check in process is as simple as entering my birth date and scanning my palm at the kiosk. Everytime I've come here examinations have been quick, thorough, and have given me confidence in knowing that my health is being properly looked into. My primary care doctor ( Amna Yaquoob, MD) has always been courteous, straightforward, and takes the time to refresh herself on my medical history prior to each visit. The staff here know exactly when to refer me for further follow up, and take a very analytical approach in terms of labs and imaging. I've recently moved to Schoharie county which is about a 3.5 hour drive from here, but I feel as if I'd be doing myself a disservice by going anywhere else for primary care medicine. Another major benefit to being a NYU Langone patient is their in depth digital record management system, that let's me look at all past visits, test results, scans etc right on their app (App is called NYU MyChart).
Academic stuff and beneficial educations s perfect
UK
This health hospital is great. They were able to spot a serious threat to my body in a matter of minutes. After the diagnosis was confirmed. A plan to make sure, I would be able to receive the best health care possible
This hospital is the prime example of what quality health care is all about. I've been admitted since September 9, 2014 with approximately 3 days to go before discharge. All acclamations to every department I've come across during my stay thus far. Everyone is well trained and have a pleasant deameaner. The food is very well made and taste wonderful. The medical staff can not be more caring about you and how may they help you. The nursing staff is awesome. Did I mention that the nursing staff is awesome. I could go on and on. As I've stated from the beginning everyone from the pre registration to my actual stay here has been more than just helpful they care about your wellbeing. Thank you all for your dedication to the health care industry and the people like me in your care.
Nice place I like it
The medical team for the pediatric patients is awesome.....
great school of Medicine
Horrible experience. I am sitting here in pain and have to wait 3 hours just to speak to a dr. I am a cancer patient and unfortunately I have been to many hospitals I have never had such a horrible experience. Avoid going to this ER! I have been here in the ER for 2 days and they still have not admitted me. In every other hospital I have been to they have admitted me within a few hours of being in the ER.
They're very professional before vicit they your temperature
(Translated) Excellent attention from very good staff (Original) Excelente atención del personal muy bueno
Good and healthy
Top notch cutting edge care and research !!!
I Albert falack must say that the staff that took care of me are the best that I've seen. I am so happy that i came to this hospital and that doctor Bernstein and staff watched me and took care of me . Again I think that I am in the best hospital on the USA.. Thanks again Albert falack
Terrible customer service experience@NYU Langone Health on 1st and 55 Brooklyn ny !!!! I took my dad for a GI endoscopy done and a private office they advised me to go to the hospital .I went straight to NYU he got admitted . On Thursday morning I went to clean him up . While there the young man was try to take his access lines out .I informed the nurse, next the patient was complaining of hearing voices and they were there in the room ,at one time he walk to the bathroom and smile at me ,the next time they spoke to him the voices were tell him to take it out .. that went on for hours ,at one point he pull the access line out of him arm there was blood from his bed pass my dad bed out into the hallway, this when on for hours trying to stop him from taking it out and trying to keep him in bed from leaving. He wanted to leave , what became very upsetting is that my dad is 78 and has high blood pressure !he should’ve never been in the same room with that patient it wasn’t safe . What if I wasn’t there omg .... I couldn’t go to work , I stay there to watch this man and protect my dad from about 10.30am till after 2 pm the man was an in danger to himself and I felt very afraid for my dad and myself.I complained several times . At one point I was told I have to understand he’s sick really! I ask for the manager , I was told she was in a meeting , by then or room was flooded with staff machines pushing Over on us .I took my dad into the hallway and stand a new nurse came and gave us chairs to sit . When the manager did come she said she would come speak to us when where back in the room . Patient relations seem concern in getting the matter resolved on the phone. I took him for a walk trying to distract him so his pressure doesn’t go up! By the time they check it it was 190 over 105 I got him comfortable as I can and explain to him that he has to do some Deep breathing it will help bring his pressure down. The manager never came back never called on till I call to make a complain to patient relations.....next experience The doctors wants me to sign concent form without filling information, when he did get the procedure done the doctor didn’t even came back to explain his findings and answer any questions I would’ve had yet they want to discharge him telling me it’s not a bother to him at this time. They are very unprofessional on the 5 floor 5508 area it’s horrible!!!!
(Translated) The cornea of the eye was ruptured, and it took a few hours for the doctor to ask (Original) 眼角膜破裂,等了几个小时才有医生询问
Really bad communication with nurses supposed to have my gallbladder removed . It’s been 3 days with out me eating and the doctor had told me I could of been ate so I end up drinking just apple just till I got the surgery because nobody else was sure .... wen the damn surgeon just had came out of my room and told me I could eat !!!!
Wonderful
after NYPresbyterian downtown kicked my mother in law out of the ER after 12 hours with covid and pneumonia she got sicker the next day. Luckily I was able to convince the EMTs to take her to NYU Langone on 1st ave. Her level of care has been amazing and because of them she is on track to a full recovery. There is not a better hospital or medical group in NY. That being said my primary care doctor is also affiliated with NYU Langone and she is the BEST. Thank you for the great care, NYU Langone!!!
Best hospital in world treat me amazing great people great staff and everything omg I love it.
I went to the ER and everyone is so fast. there is no one sitting around just lala gagging. Everyone i came in contact with was so calm friendly and caring. These people really love their job. I will only come here for emergencies. I like the system they have. Hallway beds is fine because rooms are for critical people who need machines. It was very fast.
Was worst experience I ever had from hospital was taken to emergency room for very sick and robbed by the staff took close to 800 for my pockets and say to have no idea who took it. I would never believe this could happen to anyone in a place like this from there staff
I sent a check to cover a payment of a procedure....one day. They cashed the check and credited my account The next day I sent in another check to cover a different statement/procedure. The number on the check was the NEXT check number in my checkbook. They cashed the check, according to my bank, but did not credit my account and have to date been unable to find the payment and cannot give me any explanation except to send me to yet another department. Then they sent me to a collection agency because they said I did not pay my bill. So I paid it by telephone with a credit card. Hence they now have TWO payments for the same procedure and can't figure it out on their books. Their bookkeeping sucks. And I will not return to THAT place as I received not only NO satisfaction, even thought I could provide bank records of the check payment... I got the run around and was treated as though I was in the wrong! How can I be in the wrong when I PAID the bill TWICE and can prove it with bank records? BAD!
Worst place ever even for maternity…nurses in recovery are nice ones on the floor are awful rude wake you up every 10 minutes and share rooms with new born even tho empty rooms and during omicron surge not safe at alll especially when I had a Covid induced stroke that almost killed me!!!! North shore manhasset is much better!!!!!! Better staff better rooms…the nurses haven’t been by to see us once and give meds just to new person!!!!!
I go to the dental clinic to take my kids for there appointments the line is long the workers are just standing around talking and when they finally help you they are rude with an attitude then you call the clinic to make an appointment and no one answers the phone they can’t be that busy, unbelievable.
How many people paid paid under the table for this college?......NONE
Best hospital in town, we shold only use it for simchas
Visited radiology center on 2nd floor. Friendly staff but waited over 40 min until finally decided to leave even though I did have an appointment. Not much use for making appointment I guess. Very crowded and yet limited waiting space.
NATALIYA VALENTINOVA, PA-C - If you see this name anywhere in the ER run the other direction and request a DOCTOR. Especially if you happen to have an EKG that shows tachycardia. She will try label you as an anxious psychiatric patient in your medical records. She falsified my records during ER visit claiming I was "hyperventilating" and "anxious" - I am appalled, completely baffled, and quite shocked - It is a blatant flat out lie. Honestly it is BIZARRE. Have no clue whatsoever how she pulled this out of thin air. This girl came into my room, I was sitting there quiet, calm, still, probably on my phone, exchanged two sentences with her total and that was the extent of our interaction. I am hoping there are cameras in the hospital. She wrote I "appeared anxious" - when you couldn't even see my face? - I was wearing an adult size face mask covering my small face, w/ face shield and glasses underneath. Could barely even see my eyes. Turned out I was suffering from a life changing post procedure complication. Good job Natalie. NYU Langone is a bunch of immature incompetent 5 year olds on power trips. Literally the entire report is completely inaccurate. Filing a formal complaint. You do not go making up lies of that nature about a complete stranger. The rest of them got mad when I questioned them (I was right to question them). Despicable.
Excellent care and service. Had my mother admitted to the ER for COVID after it began to heavily affect her respiratory system and the staff were extremely diligent and attentive. They were quick to get her properly oxygenated and taken care of. The nurses and doctors in the respiratory unit were nothing less than professional and effective in their treatment, making sure their patient was comfortable and confident in their recovery process.
Care was very hands on. Rooms were cramped, old grimy too many in a room. Nursing was attentive but very very unsatisfactory rooms very run down.
Great hospital, the best in the city in my experience. Had my son there 3 years ago, and just last week my wife was taken to the recently opened ER. In and out in less than 2 hours.
Went to Langone for a colonoscopy. The experience could not have been better. The staff is wonderful. The environment is spotless. The Covid protocols are spot-on. The recovery period is not rushed. It is exactly how hospitals are portrayed in movies about hospitals, where the patient is the only concern.
The worse hospital in history . Bad service , not hands on with patients . Treat Patients poorly . Surgery rating highly don’t recommend. Most of their surgeries take a turn for the worst . I don’t recommend this hospital to anyone
Took 5 phone calls and about A half hour Just to find out what my deductible was for my surgery… The dr. and dr staff was very accessible helpful but billing was not.
Per an upcoming Achilles tendon surgery, I had to go to the main hospital for standard preop COVID testing. The hospital is incredibly gorgeous, the employees (full time and volunteers) were incredibly helpful and kind, and the COVID testing was very quick and efficient.
Stellar service.
great
Andrew Rubin the "SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT " of NYU LANGONE HEALTH can put on a facade for the media but i personally have had a horrible experience with this man. He is not a very nice person and does not treat his employees with the respect and regard they deserve. NYU Langone does not support their employees and it is not the best place to work.
Amazing staff, Doctors and Nurses. Shout out for LENNY!
I left their ER without a diagnosis and was told to see another doctor. I left still in the same pain I arrived with and was unable to attend classes or work for the rest of the week. The bill I received was outrageous, over $4,000 for the emergency room alone before insurance and over $400 for a doctor I only saw maybe 5 minutes who could not diagnose me. I was in an actual room for about 15 minutes, for a majority of the time I was in a hallway. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
NYC is a tough place to practice medicine unless you can set up a cash-only niche practice that brings in $800 per hour. NYU Langone Health actually takes Medicaid, so you can imagine what sorts of things the administration has to do to its budget and staff to make up for the shortfall. The place looks pretty good to a patient like me who was on Medicaid at one point, but I used to know an NYU MD who told me a panoply of workplace horror stories. From getting enough RVUs to reach their contractual compensation to managing accurate diagnoses and good patient relationships in just 20 minutes, MDs at NYU are put through the ringer. Yup, unless you’re marked as a VIP in your chart and are therefore entitled to a 40 minute visit, you will be stuck with far less time than your coop board takes to evaluate your lease application. I did not donate significant money to an NYU building, so I got only 20 minutes. After seeing about ten NYU physicians for different reasons or second opinions, I’ve come to some conclusions about the struggles of some of these physicians who have to put up with proletarian work nonsense at postgraduate training levels and why the level of care varies so much. Please note that these professionals should really unionize, but have been so indoctrinated as individual, economic actors that aligning with the UAW would be a severe blow to their egos. (Wouldn’t it be fun though to see them blow up a giant rat at the First Ave hospital?) There are some outstanding physicians in the NYU Langone system, but like all physicians there, they are subject to enormous time constraints. The truly good doctors can pick up in five to ten minutes if something is fishy, but there are plenty of doctors who are mediocre and miss a lot. I’ve experienced them. Twenty minutes is just not enough time, and the doctors will cut back even further to keep from falling behind schedule. If something unusual comes up, the time allotted is really only good for pulling from a medical school textbook and a bit of residency. I don’t know how NYU Langone hires or maybe it’s their system, but many of their physicians don’t know how to practice critical thinking. As someone who has spent some time researching my issues across fields and wanting to take some time to discuss what I found with a doctor to see if there is any validity, the inability of many doctors to say, “I don’t know” or to collaborate actively with colleagues is a problem. I suspect a lot of that has to do with the larger hospital system limiting the ability of individual physicians to do more than parrot their medical school textbooks. Perhaps NYU’s statistical results tell a different story, but I was faced with some complicated problems, and many of the physicians I went to didn’t have enough sense to say, “This is out of my field” and work actively with me to explore a number of avenues, rather than provide a single, perhaps, erroneous referral.

BEST HOSPITAL EVER & I'VE BEEN TO ALMOST EVERY HOSPITAL IN NY TO CHECK OUT HOW THEY WOULD TREAT ME AS A PATIENT! AWESOME!
Mixed feelings on this hospital. My Uncle had heart surgery that went excellent here, but had insurance and a son in law working for a Hospital branch. My girlfriend who has no insurance, was treated like literal trash by the staff. Talented? Yes (if you have insurance). Compassionate and selfless? No.
Just do not book any appointment with this hospital by phone! I did the biggest mistake: phoned! and was charged for a no-show that never happened because the doctor moved my appointment and rescheduled it and re-cancelled it. It is the worst experience I had in the US so far. Just avoid calling because they pretend to do things, take note...and after a couple of months you receive a bill. And there is no way of challenging it. Had to pay to avoid more issues. Definetely never ever going to go to this hospital!
went in for a routine physical and was billed almost $1,000 for service that my insurance is supposed to pay. The NYU billing dept incompetence is world class. They won't call their in-house Doctor to get the charge code since it is not their job to fix the problem. They just want me to pay vs. taking the effort to deal with the Doctors office and insurance company. Go somewhere else for your physical exam and blood test e.g., Quest. Quest does this all day long and knows how to send an invoice to the insurance company
NYU Grossman School of Medicine; Faculty Group Practice I had to go for an x-ray of my right ribs on 7/16/21 in Staten Island. After about 2 x-rays they told me I was done. I said "are you sure?" The technician said "all done." That night, I get a call asking if I could possibly come back the next morning for another x-ray. The woman told me that they needed to see it better, it wasn't a clear x-ray. I asked if there was another charge to go back in the next day, she said no, because it was still for the same issue and that they were requesting me to come back. So I went back the next morning. A month and a half later I get a double bill in the mail, for 7/16 and 7/17. They are charging me for both days. I disputed it with a gentleman, Brian, and he told me that they would cancel the 2nd charge. Now, November 5th I get another bill in the mail, they are still trying to charge me for both days. They are refusing to cancel the 2nd charge. Is this the new scam? Ask a patient to come back the next day for a duplicate x-ray and double bill?
Not a professional employer. Benefits office usually hangs up on you and hardly can gets through to talk to someone, and no one responds to your email or voice mail inquiries. Its outsourced medical billing service is also screwed up often and takes forever to get things right. A professional employer needs to treat its well first, so its happy employees can serve people with true care.
This is a special place. My son was born here. When my mother had a Cerebral Hemmorage in June they gave her the best care on earth and the nurses in Neurological ICU treated her like she was their own mother. This place was here for my family in our darkest hours. Special shoutout to the nurses in Neuro ICU, Dr Riina, Dr Conziolka (sp) & Dr Sen. From the bottom of my heart.
worst customer service to make appointments,Never response at all.even 1star doesn’t deserve????????????????
