Christopher Shower curses the doctor. He neglects the patient too much, does not prescribe medicine for the discharged patient, and the patient waits for hours on the floor at the pharmacy and is discharged without medicine.all day waiting. pm 9 o'clock go home. Hi, this review is with regards to the doctor who helped the blind man who was looking for a guide to exit the building. God bless your good deeds , doctor. You are an example of a person worthy to be emulated.

WOW definitely DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! They have extreme wait times, I brought a loved one to this hospital at 2pm and it is now 10pm and my loved one still hasn’t been released. They are EXTREMELY slow in getting procedures done, they made the patient wait a full hour to get an X-ray done (something that lasts 2 minutes). They have an interpreter machine and wouldn’t even let me go in to translate. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW DISSATISFIED I AM WITH THIS HOSPITAL AND THE WAY THEY OPERATE. Go anywhere else but here!!!! Terrible! There’s a flood of people and not enough staff or rooms to attend to them. Such a horrible experience, definitely not 4-star quality rating as advertised!

Ugh. Not even sure where to start. My doctor had adjusted my medication and it was too high for me to handle. So I come to the hospital with fainting and throwing up, completely lethargic. Not to mention, one of their PCP's sent me there because i looked so gone. And without taking blood or urine, they tell me I'm pregnant and suffering from morning sickness. Plot twist, I wasn't pregnant. I'm back there a week later because this time I fainted and got a pretty nasty gash on my face. Finally they take blood. The doctor comes in and starts to berate me for "wasting her time". According to her, there was nothing wrong with me. I asked her, "so why am I fainting then?". She said she doesn't care and to get out of her sight. I don't care if that's the last hospital standing, I'll die before going there again. Just to clarify, some of the nurses are amazing. But the doctors are awful. There's an amazing guy who works in emergency pediatrics named Sal, and he's the best at taking blood. You honestly don't feel it. Great conversationalist too. And another nurse in emergency pediatrics (never got his name but he has blonde hair) is also good at taking blood. But no matter how great they are, if the "doctors" can't help you with your medical problem, it's pointless. For the record, the only reason I found out my medicine was too high, was because of my dad. He has absolutely no medical background but noticed signs of an overdose. If someone with no medical background can do a better job figuring out what's wrong with you than a "professional" can, then you need to find a new place. 5 years ago, this place was the best to go to. But it's completely gone downhill. If you have any choice, don't send your loved ones here. Please don't. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.

One if the nurses, had an attitude with me, I was waiting for a long time for my Kids medicine, and since i was sitting in the back, i decided to sit in the front to see if they would give me, and the nurse kicked me out saying we cant sit in the front, started saying i cant sit there, and told me to go back where i was. How disrespectful

Always have a good experience when I go to this hospital..

This emergency room is really bad. But all hospitals in queens are. My daughter was born here and remembered a different place. Has really gone down. I had numbness in my face and body and was panicking as a result. Thinking I was having a stroke. They processed and just pointed to 2 doors. I walked through and saw basically a psychiatric homeless shelter, and Ive been in Elmhurst hospital. I sat next to a vending machine for 6 hours with no help. Found I have neuropathy issues after later seeing a doctor because I left cause I was in so much discomfort. Honestly it takes a lot for me to seek medical help and its a shame what medical help has become. Its just a hustle. Not all employees but the majority just get there schooling to punch a clock not help people. Its really sad.

This hospital is really good. The nurses., and doctors are really nice...And the food is really good...much better than any other hospitals...

Dr. Syed Hussain decided to GO ON VACATION without ever informing his patient of Endoscopy test results, after waiting TWO HOURS for the examination the nurse says “they don’t have the camera capsule” available to perform the test, even though staff practically STALKED me to confirm the appointment and needed to reach the exam or “wait another hour or so” and as of one MONTH later, till this day I am unaware if there is an ulcer, tumor or simple issue. This is the most RUDE, DISMISSIVE and UNPROFESSIONAL Endoscopy Unit ever and I will NEVER seek tests in this horrible hospital ever again!!

Elsy Andrade

All the staffs are really friendly!!

This is holding me against my will thus is criminal

Justin McBride

This hospital used to be really good when it was NYHQ. If nothing else they really need to reopen the urgent care section of the ER. The wait is insane now.

I went to the emergency room for head injury last year. I was really pissed off by the attitude of 2 Asian ladies that work in the emergency room: One is working in the registration room; and the other one is working in another room inside the waiting area---- both of them treat patient in a very rude manner. I won't mention too much about the one that works in the registration room, I would specifically talk about the one that works inside the waiting area because I personally think she is the rudest one. After I have seen my doctor, done my CT scan, I was waiting in the waiting room for the final results. Well, after I've been waiting for about more than one hour (the time is almost 10PM), I wanted to find out how long I still had to wait before I got discharged. First I asked the security, she told me to go inside a room to ask for information where there were 2 people working in front of a computer. After hearing what I was concerning, the old black lady sitting near the door told me to ask the Asian lady further inside the room, which looks like some 16 year old girl from south east Asia. I asked her nicely when I can be discharged. But to my surprise, she gave me a really nasty look like I just owed her thousands of bucks, and said in a really condescending attitude: "Who are you? Why you here? Where're you from?" ARE YOU F*ing KIDDING ME? What is this, some kind of joke? are you checking a suspected criminal, Who taught you to ask patients this sort of rude and idiotic questions? What are you, a slave driver? Did your parents taught you to speak to people like that? Didn't your parents teach you some manner? You feed your superiority complex by talking down to patients this way? Well I have to calmed my temper down and asked her again. she showed me some really nasty body language and said" you got a go to the front desk , bla bla ..... etc" I did not bother to argue with her at the time due to my headache, but rather I talked to the doctor that just saw me in the triage room. luckily I got discharged by my doctor within 10 minutes. I forgot to ask that lady's name at the time because I was in pain and also too upset, but I am sure any one who visit Queens Hospital emergency room often should know whom I am talking about. I personally think she should be fired for having such rude&nasty attitude towards patient.

The worse experience that I have at a hospital ER on Monday Dec 26, 2021. I traveled from Minnesota to NY for visiting in these past 2 weeks. My wife has a hoarse voice for a couple days and to play it safe, we went to a near by clinic in Flushing for a Covid test. Line was long and we waited in frigid weather for 3 hrs and wife passed out for a couple minute waiting line. Called 911 and the ambulance took her to the ER at NY Presbyterian at around 1 pm. She gained back conscience and was able to walk to get onto the ambulance. The registration person Jennifer at the hospital ER had the worse attitude that I have experienced in a hospital. She is so short tempered every time I just asked a question or tried to get information from het on how I can contact the hospital for my wife status. I had to tell her to calm down twice when she got excited. I understand they are so overworked at this pandemic time as my daughter and my daughter in law are both nurses. But just her attitude really should not be fit to work in a hospital when patients and family members are going through health turmoil of rushing to a ER. The worse was she was in the ER triage area for over 5 hours and was still not been evaluated. She was not even provided with any water or food while waiting there. I was afraid that she would be dehydrated, so I went to her a couple bottles of water. I talked to another RN at the ER registration desk and she was super nice (I could not remember her name) and had a hospital volunteer brought it to her. After 6 hours of waiting and knowing that she was back to normal the whole time she was waiting at the triage area, I decided to pull her out of the ER. and returned to my friend's house without any treatment there.

All the doctors and nurses are very friendly and professional.Best hospital in nyc.Specially all doctors and nurses on 4th floor.Big thank you to all of you.

Quanna Smith

The must racist hospital in New York. They are condescending and rude. All they really care about is their Coffee break and the favor of their next cup. When I came in one of the staff was passed out sleeping. And the others looked straight at us and saw no one. It was like we were invisible.

I've had two experiences here prior to their revamp. Both times proved useless after a 6+ hour wait each time. The only result from the visits had been them keeping me there past midnight and charging an overnight bill. An elderly family member had to head into the ER tonight due to excruciating pain (the family doctor had told him to see him tomorrow to discuss urgently test results); the paincouldn't wait. They headed in at 9:30pm and it is now 4:00am and they're still waiting. Pain relievers were provided and my psychic prediction is they'll give him a few more pills to ensure but not resolve, charge an overnight stay, and send him on home with no sleep. His family doctor will then proceed with actual resolution in a few more hours. It is disappointing that the place has yet become more efficient after all the money put into it and the rebranding. There is empathy with prioritizing immediate emergencies, possible understaffing, and this isn't to criticize the staff themselves or their efforts but to consistently surpass 7+ hours of waiting time? This isn't right.

victoria zajkowski

I had an outpatient surgical procedure yesterday. Everyone from the intake professional, nursing staff, anesthesiologists, physicians and other staff were not only competent, but also engaging and caring. I thank them all for the great care I received. My husband had the same experience several months ago during an outpatient surgical procedure he had at the hospital.

Been sitting here for hours...even if I get shot I will never return. Extremely slow. Be prepared to wait at least 7 hours. This hospital's ER is even worse than brookdale and kings county!! Dont let the nice appearance fool you. Leaving at 7 PM after waiting for 6 hours. Waste of time.

Juan Bustos

victor toblin was the rudest pharmacist I have ever delt with I been coming to this hospital for years... he was complaining and yelling over bs threating me that he will call higher authorities on me and was so nasty....

Mahou Aniki

Came in the ER at 1:40 now its 5:22 still left me in the lobby. Nasty service, doesn't bother about patients. I am still waiting to be seen. Never ever come to this hospital. Disgusting no social distance no sanitizing between patients and they dont care. Every time I ask them I am waiting 4 hi ours to be yet seen they says sorry I can't tell you h oi w long just wait.

Roberto Cheng

my experience at NYHQ was frustrating. you go to a hospital and once there you go to the front desk an say need to go to neurology dept. the people at front desk don't know where that dept. is located. you ask people who work at the hospital where a certain dept. is located and no one knows. what got me frustrated is the lack of understanding people who work at a hospital are. if they don't know where a dept. is located, damn, at least say something in affect "i will find out" it's so unprofessional when you are asking a question and the person say "i don't know. It would be nice, no matter what dept. you work in all staff should be informed about the different locations they have in a hospital. thanks for letting me express myself.

Birthplace. Charismatic,Always friendly.Professional enthusiasm. Spirited nature.

If I can give this place 0 stars I will. Went there with my mother who doesn’t speak English, was told I can not go inside with her and a interpreter will be provided. There was no interpreter provided, had her waiting from 3 pm to 9:40 pm only to go back and fourth from urgent care to the main we.. I was calling since 7:30 to figure out what’s going on, only to be told by Marlon at 9:28 pm that there was a confusion and he’s gonna try to expedite things which again doesn’t sound very assuring.. Hopefully someone higher up from this hospital reaches out to me and makes sure this doesn’t happen to any other patients in the future…

This hospital service is amaiging. I bought my kid here. Doctors, nurses and other assistants all are very good; helpful; understanding; professional as well. I wanna mention a name of a nurse name Audra- she is very responsible ; positive and solving. Good luck for all

Nessa W

DO NOT give birth in this hospital . I am a first time mother and had the worst experience of my life which left me traumatized . Between the care for me and my son the service was a disgrace . The only good thing about the hospital was the nurse Lynette and Dr.Kozhin and Dr.Olenesku. The staff doesn’t care about you or your child . Worst experience I have ever had!

fardeen Khan

Nurses and aids help me back to life

sxunny

The ER staff took very good care of me from check in to check out with it being so busy they even had an army of GI doctors that performed a endoscopy for me.

Nasrath Jahan

My son was born at this hospital and everytime he has an emwrgency he is seen here... Great staff and super attentive and fast... I live in the bronx and troop it here

Matt Skawinski

Only a few nurses are friendly, many others are horrible... I was suffering from a lot of pain and press the button for many times. The nurse just ignored me and didn't give me pain medicine after 7 hours!!!! It was the worst experience I've ever had. The physician told me that the surgery I would have 95% would be successful and told me that I would be fine. Then what happen is that after the surgery I was suffering from a lot of pain which it was not supposed to. The nurses saw I was crying that I had pain. They simply said to me " don't cry like a baby" OMG!!!!! If i m not in pain why should i cry??? Why don't you give me pain medicine?? Why you guys walks away as a cold watcher??? They treat me harshly... Later the physicians told me that i was the 5%!!!!!So I end up in ICU. I

JACKSON PERALTA

Worst costumer service in the world. Mother was in pain and couldn't attend her appointment, when we called to reschedule they put her on hold twice and hung up the phone BOTH times. When we called again a third time, the lady at the front desk gave us attitude for wanting to seek help. Go somewhere else.

TANIAAKTER47

Worst emergency service experience ever! Tooth hurt crazy, need to pull out. Went to emergency and waited for 5 hours just for the doctor to tell me they don't have the equipment to pull out my tooth. Such a waste of time and energy!

Zev

The staffs were very professional. It is clean.

Jason Polkovitz

My mother has been treated her twice and she's under going chemo therapy the nurses are very attentive very nice and helpful in every way ????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

BHUPINDER KAMBOJ

This is the worst Hospital you could be in they do not care how about their patient they will leave you to die in their bed don't even bother to come in

Weronia Kwiecinski

Worse ER experiences! First time visit 5 hours wait just for a needle shot. They told me they will contact the my doctor to confirm dosage and after 1 hour wait they said they will contact now; another 2 hr 30mins wait for shot. 9/24 doctor told me to go to hospital for another dosage of medication check in at 12:03pm, draw blood at 12:25pm. Since then they left me in lobby for 2 hrs and half then call me to patient lounge and left me for another 2 hours unattended. Finally got Ultrasound done at 5pm, at 5:20pm doctor talk to me about the report and letting me know I’ll be getting a shot “shortly” ever since I been left unattended in the lounge no nurse answer my questions and it’s 8:08pm. Unless u r dying or on ur last breath, don’t come to this hospital they will leave u unattended till further notice... lol

Darrell Rosenbluth

So I remember when this was Booth Memorial Hospital and you do everything to avoid coming here. BUT, how have things changed. My most recent visit here really impressed me. The lobby was inviting and I saw state of the art equipment everywhere.

Let me start with saying that this hospital has always be my go-to for any emergency needs and my daughter was born here. I also take my daughter to the Theresa Lang Clinic for children and have no complaints about the clinic. I recently visited the pedriatic emergency room because my daughter had 105 fever and an alarming cough. Luckily as soon as we came in we saw the triage nurse and passed through the front desk almost immediately. It wasn’t until we were in the emergency room that we were extremely disappointed with the level of attention. The nurses and doctors were in no rush to get to us and after an hour of sitting there waiting to be called I finally got up and got the attention of one of the nurses who was kind enough to take my daughters vitals. I don’t know if their lack of timeliness is because they lack staff or they simply are inconsiderate of others. When the doctor finally came around to see my daughter it was 4:30am. Since I arrived at 2am until 4:30 am my daughter was not given any medication for her fever. Not only that but the doctors instructed that she be given a nebulizing treatment and an x-Ray of her chest. Sure enough an hour and a half passed by before anyone came to set up the nebulizer. I had to call it to the attention or the nurse who blantaly admitted that the doctor never told her about the nebulizing treatment. This is extremely frustrating as it demonstrates the lack of communication going on in the ER which is incredibly alarming considering that in any emergency room nurses and doctors should be on the same page working hand in hand at all times. I understand that sometimes nurses and doctors do the best that they can but in this instance it did not feel that way. They were often posted behind the desks chatting discussing what was for lunch and giggling about things that had nothing to do with their patients. As a mother I’m overwhlemed and concerned about my daughters incredibly high fever and it was aggrevating to hear the nurses and doctor discuss things irreverent to their field of work and that of their patients. It took another hour to get my discharge papers and by the time we were discharged it was 8am. The changes in shifts are NOT an excuse for incompetence. I will be seeking a way to file a formal complaint and then follow up. There was also a patient next to us (teenage girl) who was alone without a parent and had been admitted after my daughter and was not seen or checked on by neither the nurses or any other staff for more than an hour! I thought that was dispicable and was really the last straw. The lack of attention and consideration for patients from the night shift staff was very disappointing and there needs to be changes. If my daughter had gone any longer without fever reducing medication she could have suffered from much worse ailments because of their negligence. No one cares what you’re having for lunch!!!!!! Do your job!!! For the sake of the patients! New supervisement is required!!!

Mohammed Ahammed

I wish I could give no star. Was waiting for 9 hours for my daughter to be seen. The doctor would see somebody and talk with them for 3-5 mins and sit down for more than an hour. Work very slow. I hate it never coming back here again.

Idiotka -

People waiting in er should be given a room, no matter if they are severely sick or injured or not. This should be basic protocol to treat all the patients with a level of respect and responsibility. And the wait time is extremely long.

Shaquanna Wright

Honestly not a good hospital . When I was in pediatrics I used to get called faster but it was still very slow. Now that I’m an adult they will let you wait a century and die in the waiting room if u have to . I went a couple years back with horrible stomach pain at midnight . 7 am comes and I’m told by a doctor who is about to clock out for her shift that my catscan is fine. And I told her if I could get admitted because I couldn’t take the pain and wanted more research. She said she’d look into it and I got admitted about an hour later and was taken upstairs to a room. To my surprise when the doctor that comes in for the next shift appears in my room, she tells me I have a an infected and inflamed appendix and need surgery this very day. I can’t believe I was in so much pain that I let go over my head the fact that I was about to be sent home by the previous doctor and was told by the previous doctor that my catscan revealed nothing . Had I gone home, my appendix could have exploded and I could have possibly died. This is insane

Ricardo Medina Soriano

Thank you very much Olanescu????????????????❤❤❤????????

jessica eustache

Rude attendant who took care of my grandmother. Was very impatient when I tried to interpret her questions for her

Katrina Cheriag

This is the first time visiting this hospital and is the WORST just because of the unconsidered waiting time for people that are sick, I am here right now with my husband for 5hrs straight and expecting to wait more time just to have a COVID test done, my husband have been shaking and sweating his fever on the chair and with a severe headache. Everyone is patiently waiting to be seen and anxious to hear their names. Idk the reason of this long waiting idk if they are low staff idk if they are disorganized but whatever it is it is not proper for an ER to wait so long. I’ve been in more packed ER’s than this and haven’t wait so long for a 15 mins service.

Maisha Shamim

I am currently sitting in Labor & Delivery waiting room because they do not have any beds in the triage area but my problem besides from this is, the nurses. Upon arrival in a wheelchair the nursing staff just looked at me but no one attempted to get up and ask for my information, so I had my mother hand in my paperwork from the emergency room. Then I was instructed to give a urine sample and then in the dirty bathroom, the nurse performs a doppler reading on me but was standoffish because I stated to her that this was unsanitary and she needed to have facilities come clean the bathroom. I am 36 weeks pregnant and between myself and the other pregnant women, this is truly unprofessional. And the attitude from the staff is unacceptable also the cleanliness of this area is disgusting. I am very disappointed with my visit so far and it is sad because with all the renovations they have done, changing the hospital name and the hospital is still the same. They should have renovated the staff too. Waiting for patient advocate to come down and speak with me now.

Jacqueline

The ER is the worst department I have ever seen. I had a back pain and sent there 830 am in the morning. At 3pm the nurse is yet to find me a doctor. I suppose you need a head trauma to get attention.

Leslie Ramales

I am living with U S A for 18 years. I went to New York City some of the hospitals for an emergency, but today I got terrible experience in New York presbyterian hospital, Queens reasons is their attitude and behavior so bad even Doctors, Nurse and staff.

All Architect

If I could them more stars I would. I spent two weeks in the COVID unit. The staff, from maintenance, tech, therapists, nurse aides, PA's, RN's and doctors were awesome. I am in awe of them coming to work everyday to face this virus. Thank God for each and every one. I pray they each stay safe.

Stefanie Behrens

The ER is a hellzone. The staff are boring and slow. It took over 2 hours for me to get an IV after speaking to the doctor. They don’t comfort you or check on your needs, LIJ is much better. The Pediatrics is horrible. There’s no privacy, just some cheap curtains. No doors. Then they’re very cheap and split the tiny rooms, to get to the sink or trash can you have to intrude on the other people next to you. They don’t check on you, no privacy, uncomfortable, miserable atmosphere. It’s sorta hectic and you don’t feel tended too. Don’t recommend it. Boring, miserable, I cried for the 8 hours I was there. The nurses don’t listen to you and that damn Chinese man can’t do an IV right. L.I.J is a much better hospital if you want to feel actually welcomed. I’d never go here again. And the ER waiting room is always packed and it’s uncomfortable to be in a tight little room with random old people. In LIJ there’s a dedicated Pediatrics ER and it gives you a good room for yourself, an actual door, and friendly people that are always asking if you need a blanket or a pillow. Didn’t get asked that once here. LIJ is very swift and they’re usually very fast. They make time for you. And there’s people in Blue Shirts (Child Life) who ask to play games with you, talk to you, hang out, and make you feel more at home. It’s a friendly hospital. Do your kid a favor and don’t take them here. They’ll love LIJ but this place is torture.

russell ibraham

110% hard working staff but ER space is simply inadequate to process all the patients with immediacy, efficiency and focus. 9 hours on and off wait is not my type of ideal ER treatment and on a floating bed.

Brittant Fairchild

Love this hospital !

Cesar Cedillo

Great hospital with great service.

Ronald Adams

Do not go here they charge you crazy amount of fees even when you have insurance for emergency care. Wait is for many hrs and cost for emergency evaluation is crazy.

Felix Badia

One of my worst experiences I have ever had!!

Vinoukone Hanvichid

I had to take my mom to the emergency room today and I was VERY fortunate to have the best ER nurse - FLORINDA CHEN. She was sooooooo comforting for my mom and extremely patient with AWESOME bedside manner with me and my mom ... I cannot tell you how appreciative both my and I were to have someone who was busy with so many demanding patients. This young lady had the ultimate professionalism and true authenticity in expressing concern and care for my mom... I hope if the hospital management sees this review and sends a survey = I cannot wait to rave about the care this nurse gave which is so far and few between.. I only wish all nurses had Florinda's demeanor ... We are extremely grateful and only hope she is compensated 3 times over whatever she is being paid because she truly was the BEST NURSE I have encountered in my 54 years of existence...

PETER MCHUGH

Minimum wait time 6-8 hours.

Nelly Martinez

Wonderful staff and a gorgeous facility.

Bowb

They have the poorest customer service in the world. You're not gonna get killed by doctor in that hospital they are very good doctors. But you gonna get killed by mistake of customer service.

Gabriel Alexander

I was in the hospital for 3 days following surgery 1/22-1/25-18 and I found the hospital to be fair. Most of the nurses are exceptional but they are overworked. Very little response when I pressed the call button. You rarely get a nurse but instead a nurse assistant. The bathroom was kept dirty in my room and the room was tiny (3rd floor), so tiny that when I got out of bed, I nearly hit my roommate. It was also dreadfully hot with no air circulation that I needed to ice myself down constantly and this was in the middle of winter! My IV kept breaking as did everything else. Not a great experience but Dr's and nurses are for the most part, wonderful.

Neil P McGuinness

i went to the hospital on 10/18/19 thinking that this was a good hospital. when i went to the hospital i had a letter from my GI doctor stating that he thought i had a perforation in my intestine and that i needed a CT Scan along with antibiotics through an ivy. I was in the emergency room a good 2 hours before i was registered. Whenever i would ask a RN when would i be seen the response would be, give us a few minutes. i was finally registered when a medical student intervened. It was 8 hours later that i was taken for the CT Scan. It was 10 hours later that they gave me the morphine for the pain. i was poked 8 times in order to get my ivy line. the RN poked me 5 times, another nurse came and poked me one time and i requested that they use the ultra sound in order to get my vein. A doctor came with another intern or i don't know who and they were 1 hour trying to get my vein. It appeared that they did not know what they were doing. What a nightmare!! In all i was poked 8 times. It was at 10:30pm when they started me on the antibiotics that the doctor had written on his note and then at 1:30 am they discharged me from the hospital. They were in a rush to discharge. Had they done what they were suppose to do, i would not have been in the hospital for so many hours. Then they discharge a sick person at a time when is dangerous, what is wrong with their compassion and caring for the ill. I will never go to this hospital again and don't recommend it. Please go to a different hospital. I had a negative experience and believe me there is more about the hospital that i can say. The bathroom was filthy. During all the hours at the hospital no one kept me informed as to the delay or what was happening. The transporter, Sandy, had issues and an attitude. The doctor and the nurse were hardly seen by me. Not even a resident would stop by to let me know what was happening. This is not a hospital to go to, as the patient does not receive the best care. It lacks doctors to tend to the sick. I never saw a gastroenterologist in the ER and don't know if they have one.

Hay Charlie1

Worst place ever my poor mom had to wait for 3.5hours to see a doctor and the working medical staff was not helpful at all

Paul B

Upon leaving the hospital with our 99 year old grandmother , hospital workers Dwayne Stewart and Troy Patterson who happen to be just walking by and saw us struggling both took their time to help us get our immobile grandmother into the car. Its people like that that make a great community !

I would give a 0 star if Google allowed it.Let me tell you why this place sucks beyond belief. The staff is ignorant, unethical and very unprofessional. I went to do an MRI test at the New York hospital in Flushing Queens at radiology department on 08/02/15(Sunday), prior to that I went in person to make an appointment with all necessary paper work that my doctor issued to me in the same hospital on the 4th floor. The receptionist accepted all my paperwork and told me just show up on Sunday. I assumed everything was good to go but I still wanted confirmation so I asked her clearly if I needed to bring any further paper work with me on Sunday. She said no and that everything is set and it is in the system. All I had left to do was fill a few basic health questionnaire paperwork, which I did, then I will be ready to go. She wasn’t attentive to begin with, therefore, the problems the following appointment ensued. On Sunday, I showed up at the radiology center. Another reception was there and she wasn’t friendly. She seemed to be in a bad mood because there was a child behind her desk, assuming it was hers and she seemed annoyed by her. I’m not even sure why a child was there in the first place, a reception desk is no place for a child and it is a major distraction to whoever is handling the desk.Onwards, I stated I was there for an MRI test. She had trouble finding me in the system. This was frustrating after I confirmed with the first receptionist that I was, in fact, in the system. After a waited time, she was able to locate my name and my scheduled appointment. Then she asked to see the prescription paper from the referral doctor, so I told her when I made appointment, the lady told me all I need to do is show up and everything is ready to go! She already documented the necessary files. She responded that the first receptionist, her coworker, does not know what she is doing and she still needed my paperwork to verify. Since I was told I didn’t need anything, I didn’t have them on me. So then she requested that I email it to her. Luckily, my wife was home and was able to gather all documents and email everything to her. My wife sent all three separated referrals and prescription approval by my doctor in email form. All of the paper work had the same information on it, stating I made an appointment few days prior, she looked through briefly and said those are not the papers she was looking for!Hold on, what? She asked for referrals, prescriptions and MRI diagnostic requests and still wasn’t the paperwork she needed? The paperwork could not be any clearer which led me to believe this inexperience, unprofessional and miserable being could not comprehend the information before her eyes. The paperwork stated the prescription and the test needed summary with authorization through my insurance company, I kept telling her that was the paperwork, but I was still being denied for the MRI while her child was yelling at background demanding to play with her. Again, I can’t even express the very frustrating experience with the service I needed ASAP for my lower back pain. I’m still in so much pain and no one has even contacted me to resolve this issue. In conclusion – whoever is hiring at the hospital, they need to do some careful consideration in who they hire as a representative for their practice, you need someone who has more common sense and knows their job. They need to train better. If you are a patient, do me a favor, stay away from this radiology department at the Queens hospital. You’re wasting your time.

Patricia “nopalito0131” Leon

it's a hospital, what can i say..

Omar

Admitted at 6:30pm and have not left the E.R after 5 hours of wait time. I was told to wait another 3 hours to be seen by the doctor. Worst ER of all time.

Mayra

My mom went to the hospital with COVID-19 and they got her oxygen and we always called the doctor every day to check up on her and they always picked up.

Mireya Estevez

I was waiting on a survey to be sent out to rate but do not think they will send it. I went to the ER in August 2017. I had horrible pains. Later found out it was a cyst. I can honestly say the nicest people are the underpaid ones. The CAT Scan technician was nice and aplogisied for not having a pillow for me. (Considering its a hospital they should.) The Ultrasound technician was nice and gentle. The porter got me socks said he doesnt want me to be cold. However, how many nurses passed and not one offered me socks. Two doctors introduced themselves and I didnt see the first one after. My mother ask the nurse a few times the status and she kept saying in a minute. I arrived at 10pm or so and didnt come home until 7am. The doctor said she will give me another dose of IV and took about 2 hours to do so. If you are going into the medical field, make sure you take lessons from the college course on how to care for patients. I have my BS in Sociology and thinning of going back for nursing. Its not all about the money, you have to have compassion.

Anderson

We made an appointment at 1:30 and it is currently 3:00 and we have yet to see the doctor. When we came in the waiting room was empty and it still is. We don’t know why the wait is soooo long but this was a serious waste of time.

Joe Wehry

It's a real hell hole going to the ER at this hospital. Came in with Adult son under dr recommendation for dehydration due to virus. He was left in hallway for 2 hours with a whole lineup of beds as well During that time a nurse did an ekg out in the open in the hallway near the er entrance with everyone passing by. When he asked for a private area he was told only women get private space and for men they disrobe them out in the hallways. ..is this legal or sanitary and isnt it discriminatory to have such a policy. After 2 hours he was brought into the er room with a tiny space with no curtain available to close off during his exam. This is like being in a third world country. He asked for a flu test and was refused.

Joseph Itzkowitz

No help at all

Xavier

Very expensive hospital.

A. D.

Went to this hospital because I was spitting up blood, felt very fatigued, light headed and nauseous. I spent the first 2 hours of my visit quarantined in a room alone waiting for a doctor that never showed up, after complaining to the nurses he finally came checked my breathing and moved me to the main floor with everyone else. It then took another 6 hours to have a nurse place an IV which she did but I never received an IV bag nor did I get medication to treat the symptoms mentioned above. My experience here was the worst I seen my doctor walk past a dozen or so times multiple times on the phone almost never stopping to check in on patience. The only hospital worse than this one is Jamaica hospital.

arkar soe

Came in at 5:45am it is 7:30am and still no doctor has seen my wife..and she's in a really bad pain..this is crazy!!! this hospital is getting worse and worse smdh!!

JASLEEN KAUR

Great service!! Staff was so good. I would really recommend this hospital. Nurses and doctor there are so helpful and great.

Saiful Islam

Waiting time is ridiculous. They are understaff, you have to spend half the day here to be seen.

Queenie LaNY

I delivered my baby there and I found very good service and nice medical team . I love this place.

Carlos Santos

43 I had heart attack and I was told I was in the best hands I could be in!! And without a doubt after praying to my higher power I have never felt more at calm and more relaxed trusting the doctors the best staff from the top right to the nurses!! Thank you everyone for taking great care of me and for making me feel so comfortable and safe even the head cardiology man had time to sit with me and that blew me away just shows how they care!! Thank you from the hudak family and kids keep up the great work .

Jessica Tonnessen

One of the worst I've ever been to. The nurses are slow, they're not at all attentive, and they consistently make mistakes when taking notes down as to why you're there, among other answers to questions they ask you. i once went there because I had an allergic reaction to a medication and was unable to breathe. They gave me nothing to help at all. No oxygen mask, no medication, no doctor for at least three hours, no water, nothing. Absolutely worthless, I'd have better luck walking into a stranger's house asking for help. The one in Manhattan is miles better.

jenn agapi

Dr. Jason Sample is a dedicated, companionate, highly qualified, experienced and very efficient surgeon. Explanations and instructions given are clear and to the point. The surgical department has skilled professionals who take good care of all your post-eperation needs. Thank you to all members of such a superb team.

Ahmad Ali

Very good hospital. The nurses and doctors are very kind and patience. Nurse Rose Simon is awesome, she has a very nice sense of humor and she's professional. My grandmother was having lumpectomy surgery and I was the contact for her, the hospital has a system that text me updates about the surgery while I wait and that was good.

Brandon M

Great Hospital, wonderful bed side manners. . I have heard nothing but good things about this Hospital. It's true what they say about this Hospital, Amazing things are happening here! Sincerely: Michael Morales

Balanciaga Abundance

I just called the hospital emergency department trying to find out my father status because we didn’t hear anything from them since the nursing home sent him to the emergency room for check up. The nurse who picked up the call with super bad attitude and blamed me for why calling them since my father was discharged before 9pm and when he is not in the hospital why I need to know how he was doing, such and such. This is part of the NYP. I can’t believe they hire such no manner so called “educated nurse” to work for famed NYP Queens Hospital. If there is a choice, I rather my father was sent to the Northwell Hospital. The only one star I gave for is thanking for picking up the call tonight.

Josefina Tapia

Their staff is rude and nobody ever seems to know what’s going on. We came in because a relative of mine is pregnant and we kept asking when she would be able to shift to another room or when the doctor would come the answer would be the same; “I don’t know” & they wouldn’t update us AT ALL. We then asked for a pillow for the pregnant lady because she was having pain, and the nurse said sure give me a minute. 15 minutes pass by no one comes in and 10 nurses are just sitting near the desk gossiping. I tell them I asked for a pillow 15 minutes ago and they said they have an emergency.. if there is an emergency why are you all sitting and gossiping to each other? They don’t care about you here simple as that. The people who work day shifts might be better.

Cyntrell Thompson

Most of the time, especially since the take over, it is a very quick and great experience. Knowledgeable and caring staff is on hand.

Marie Francis

My mother was taking to the emergency Rm, for an in-farct. She was treated wonderful. That you everyone for caring for my mother.

Michael P

The best hospital the Nurses Doctos and Staff go out of their Way to make you feel better:)

Khaleezii Fravel

Absolutely the cleanest hospital and most social distance in Queens. And caring for patients.

Marlene Brown

The worst experience ever. Was I. The emergency room for 4 hours and my child was never given a room. She was seen by the doctor in the hallway.

Chulin Chen

Went to ER. Waiting, waiting, and waiting...

Mohammed Hussain

The ER staff tries real hard but the space is inadequate to accommodate the areas needs. My husband has been in the ER there at least three times and there are always gurneys of sick people lined up and down the corridors, because there aren't enough bays to put them. Thats why it takes FORVER to be seen and processed. One time, while in the ER, he even had to have his sever facial lacerations stitched by a plastic surgeon in a hallway while dozens of people (not medical staff) coming and going walked by. How sanitary. However, once you get beyond the ER experience, his care once he was admitted, was better. Still--not my first choice at all.

After we had our first kid here, we decided to have the second here too. Excellent nursing staff and the pediatrics division is wonderful.

Jennifer Fan

Just want to give a big thanks to all the doctors and nurses and staff who helped my son recover successfully today we will never forget it. It’s a true saying when they say real heroes work here god bless them and all everybody they saved a life today . Thank you so much my son is great.

dadu dadunia

Worst ER EVER. Sat for FOUR HOURS wating for an orthopedic doctor that was "coming right down" 30 mins after I arrived. After inquiring for the forth time, I got fed up and just walked out. RIDICULOUS. There is no communication amongst the staff. I could over hear several doctors and nurses asking the same patient the same questions repeatedly. TERRIBLE experience.

Sylvio

Well let me tell you all something my son has been attending here since he was born . I also was taking care of for many reason and my father ! They are all very sweet, and helpful! They are great with asthmatics ! So all you people complaining are because you got a bad attitude! Also every time my son goes there the emergency team they take him right in no complaints ,and my father who is diabetic !

rosa lucero

My mom suffered from sepsis and was given antibiotic 5 hours late, causing her to suffer an episode of septic shock. It should have been given within 1st hour of diagnosis.

Hari Pokhrel

My sister felt sick went here and fast we went home

Michael Rango

HORRIBLE RECEPTION WOMAN WHO WORKS AT THE EMERGENCY REGISTRATION. She was sitting on the left side of the desk today, wearing a white shirt, has short gray hair and wears thin framed glasses. I walked up to her and politely asked if I could see a doctor today (I've been having chest pains since starting new medicine) and she was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. She made faces at me, pointed at the people waiting, had an extremely unpleasant tone, and asked me how old I am unnecessary (not to fill out any forms.) At this point, I told her I would just leave. After all this, she asked what's wrong with me. I said I would be more comfortable to tell the doctor, yet she kept rudely insisting I tell her. I calmly said no and left. She then asked my sister "what my problem is." I'm going to call HR when they open on Monday and let them know about this horrible lady who should not work at a hospital whatsoever. Please have this terrible woman fired. She had no respect for a patient in pain. Awful. I am absolutely disgusted that a branch of of NY Presbyterian would hire this witch.

Adil Samuel

I love this place because I went right inside got triaged sent to urgent care and now she's writing my prescription for my antibiotics

Baytul Bhuiyan

Great Service Clean Fast service Staff is Friendly

Very good Hospital. The doctors here are nice and friendly. Fast service and they always make sure your doing fine. Took my nine year old kid here for check up and doctors were good.

Ed Araújo

Great care

Cagueyes

This place is very clean and the service is excellent here they threat you with all the help you need here

Lesly Vasquez

Arrived at approximately at 9pm, it is almost 1am and we have not been called yet. When we arrived the waiting area was almost empty I do not understand why the extremely long wait to see a doctor.

Therisa Rose

I am extremely grateful for the radiology team and what they did for yesterday, both during and after my procedure. Real kindred spirits and hearts. I had the best experience. Keep up the good work guys, you’re all appreciated!

Taylor Lyons

Called today for admiting department to find out information . They transferred me like 10 times . Plus lady from admiting department should get fired . She hanged up on me for no reason like 3 times . I don't know why people like that even have a job .

Jeannie Kourakos

DR SHEIN ASIAN WORST DOCTOR EVER. PLEASE REPORT HIM HE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE SARCASTIC AND CARELESS

DJI Mavic air 2 Drone

Took my 1 year old son there when he had a fever of 103 and he was seen immediately and was taken very good care of by the nurses and doctors in the e.r.

John Mattos

everyone was very nice until you get to the dreaded recovery room where the nurses are understaffed supposedly and very rude. They gave off a nasty attitude after having a nose surgery with anastasia and not once asked me how i felt or was doing after waking up. I was not offered any water and the nurses never asked me if i was in any pain or not. i barely had energy to talk or ask. nurses were ignoring me when i eventually did and when they eventually came they were just ripping wires off me rushingly and came every 10 mins to tell me to breath but my throat was drying up.

Monica Calivar

By far the best hospital to go too in Queens, in my opinion. Best experience. Very clean and hospitality was great.

Jeff C

Excellent service ! From the nurses which are the best I ever meet, to the doctors which are superlative in every way! Great team! Thank you for everything!

Thomas Overmiller

Absolutely terrible ER service. My mom had a car accident and was admitted to ER by ambulance around 12pm. It’s been close to 8 hours since she got admitted and she hasn’t even seen a doctor yet. I am still waiting to hear from her and the only response I got from the hospital is that she’s still waiting at the ER. It’s absolutely ridiculous that ppl who require emergency help must go through this. Avoid ER at all cost.

Scarlett Lin

Nice staff, great doctors, amazing place.

Casey Penk

My wife was with MAJOR headache and high blood pressure with possible risk of stroke, it took them 3 effing hours to take the pain away, nurses with bad attitude, wait time is ridiculous. Nurses are not trained, can't put the IV in correctly(it took them 5 times too get it right) The other time with my newborn they couldn't put the catheter in right either, then again bad attitude. Really bad experience, do not recommend. Next time we will seek for help elsewhere

palash khan

Worst hospital ever. Came to the E.R at 9 pm and is almost 3am. My girl is pregnant and has some stomach pain and nobody has seen her

Nikolett Peto

The staff is just the greatest and caring of all.May GOD forever bless them.

J Lee

Very bad service

Robert Guatelli

the worst doctors, worst nurses, the worst emergency in this world, you can ask them so many time, they not answered your question, try to ignore me,the service is so bad. My daughter have high temperatures 103.i have ask them so many times give her some medicine, they said they all busy, I ask the other nurse to help, and she told me I have to wait my nurse, even she is so free, I mean what? The attitude is so bad.

Danna Aguilar

Iam rigth now in the emergency room and I was brought to the hospital by ambulance in have not get a y doctor to see or talk to me only one nurse the she finally drove me blood i have not see any doctor yeah in I have to go toilet with no one to help me

andrew olle

My wife and I just walked out of this stupid hospital untreated after 8 Hours waiting inside the emergency room. Why is it called the emergency walk in if it takes that long to be seen? Sorry correctly....still not seen. Never coming to this hospital again. People... Take my advice and go to one of the north shore hospitals.

Beatrice Goutzinopoulos

Took my child to the emergency room because of a allergic reaction to something. They didn't treat her, they sent her home with Motrin... Some other child was throwing up and chocking and the nurses ran away they didn't check on him or tried to help, it was so sad I will never bring my child near that hospital again especially pediatrics

Rudyy Batista

Emergency Dental is a joke. Yes they're open 24 hours but they don't tell you that the Oral Surgeon Leaves at 1pm. So if you expect to get seen and get a tooth pulled you better head there extra early like 5ish in the morning because you'll be waiting over 3+ hours just for them to tell you the Surgeon left and for the dentist to see you just for pain meds. :(

Joseph Delgado

We're in ER for 8hrs , no nurse no doctor show up for any treatment no medicine we ask for discharge Bad service

Machemeh Kromah

I wish I can give 0 star. Absolutely the worst hospital I ever been to especially the Emergency Department. One of my family was very sick, got admitted without an admitted bed upstairs, being placed next to a screaming patient all night and the next day continue to move both my family and the screaming patient to another side of the ED. Absolutely terrible and unacceptable. How can someone recover and have good immune system without any sleep? You tell me!!!!!!

naty grace

I went there to be seen at the dentist emergency part and they tell me all they could do is give me Tylenol wen I habe a whole in my tooth. They didn't have no clean chairs. Person calling back patients doesn't know how to deal with ppl that are in pain. I give it a 0 star

Charlene Miras

I want to show my photos I have. This is not a clean place. When I first came in a very rude Asian women was asking questions. Then waiting room. Had a good woman there. Long wait time. Some rude nurse's. Very very cold was not offer a blanket. Nurse's just sitting around talking. Sitting in a room. In a chair no beds. The room is shared. No privacy.. what about the virus??? I had a very good doctor. But the rest was bad. Nurse's not knowing what there jobs are. Went to get my 3 medicine. Well I didn't have a 1,83 so they refused to give me my medication. What kind of hospital is this

Bayan e Haq Hidden Truth (Bayan e Haq)

Don't come this hospital, patients have to wait 3hrs in urgent care... damn urgent care!! Just look at other hospital that would be faster way

Zih-Quaria Loyd

Waiting for more than 3 hours in the emergency room. I was not able to be taken care. I didn't see a Dr. I left after more than 3 hrs waiting to be called to see a Dr. If we go to the emergency is because we need medical attention .

MariaBonita

How can you tell a person he can't get fresh air. Prisoners in prison get 23 hour lock down and 1 hour outside. So how can't a citizen go out for fresh air????? For 30 minutes. Been locked in hospital going on 48 hours. STAFF IS AWESOME BUT REGULATIONS WORSE THAN PRISON.

Michael Paulino

Had a great experience with my delivery and the nurses are friendly

Michelle Wan

Great hospital. The staff is kind and caring especially the social work staff. Made transforming to Rehab very smooth and comfortable. Addressed all our concerns and made transportation Arrangments.

Heather O'Harra

Not as bad as flushing hospital but not as good as "Elmhurst "

SajidPlayz

This place is amazing. I've been to three hospitals in Brooklyn, 1 in Queens, 1 in Manhattan, & 1 in Long Island. & I have NEVER experienced such great professionalism & mannerism. Literally every single person in this hospital is genuinely polite. Keep up the good work & thank you. :)

Richard Conte

This Hospital has A one staff! My dad was doing outpatient for a few weeks in Opat and they were great!! Amelia..Kevin, Alla, Tracey and Geraldine made the process which was tough so much easier...Real front line Heroes ????

Dmitriy Kerget

Amazing hospital and staff. Went in for 41 weeks Induction. As a first time mom they made me feel very comfortable and safe. The PA’s, RN’s and Nurse Asst. were all truly amazing loving people. Constantly making sure the baby and me had everything we needed. I recommend all moms to be to choose NYPH Queens, you won’t regret it. They are very informative and walk you through every step of the way. Appearance: 5/5 Bedside Manner: 5/5

BOSS LADI

Took family member to emergency room yesterday via Ambulette. He was in the ambulance triage waiting for 4 hours in the evening and only his vitals were taken. The hospital had about 180 patients for the day they informed me. Many, like him were waiting in the hallways on stretchers. Not enough staff on hand for Friday evening. He did not see a doctor and had to eventually leave on our own since he was never seen by a doctor or admitted. This was not a 4-Star Hospital experience as they advertise. They told my family they could wait 10 hours to be seen by a doctor.

Uruj Chaudhary

Peds ER was great! Very kind staff, great follow up and clear instructions! Would highly recommend!

Patricia Yousef

Emergency 5 Hour no response I don’t like

Tony Jenkins

I went for surgery and the doctors and nurses were great!

Amina H

We’ve been in the ER waiting room for over 10 hours now! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! I’ve never been so disgusted with this hospital. Then you have to chase people down to try and get some sort of answer and they all feed you the same BS.

Lixianhub

I was at File Room A112B, this man was talking with the hospital employee for over 20 minutes about Indian Punjabi history. I don't know who he is, that he was taking up the public space and time to talk about Indian history in the hospital File Room, yet there are people waiting outside the door to get in, there's a sign on the door of the file room only allows 2 person at one time. It is frustrating and annoying especially during pandemic.

Juned Pathan

Best hospital ive been in

Francesca Taveras

I went to this ER just because it was near by me my blood pressure was extremely hight and they put me almost on toy of others patients no space to stand by the bed not blanket they ask me to take out my clothes but didn’t offer a bag to put my shoes and clothes never offered a pillow or pair of Sox, I stayed there for 13 hours waiting for a room to be admitted and they didn’t offer a cup of water other than the one use to take the medications, my son tried to go in to bring me a cup of tea but he wasn’t allowed to do so. I was dehydrated but I didn’t get an IV . By all means try to avoid this place we all deserve better than that.

Smiles

Suite 115. I was told to come in 10 mins early. Which means 850am I wasn't seen til 1010am for a 5min blood work appointment. This is ridiculous. They are used to abusing their clientele that lives near by that doesn't speak fluent English. This was very unprofessional.

Deme Serb

My mom had an allergy. Every shift of the nurse drove her blood in total of 5 times in 2 days. Every shift of nurse/doctor asked her why she was sent to the hospital, what the symptoms were, again and again. Not alone the systematic wrongly extremely long waiting time. Fellows, do exercise, keep healthy, avoid this hospital.

GodOfRage 809

My wife gave birth to one of my kids there. And on the way for the next one also. Great staff and doctors. 5 stars.

ramprashad29

Honestly I am truly disappointed in what this hospital has become. The Emergency Department went from one of the best in Queens to one if the worst. They literally had patients waiting over NINE HOURS IN THE WAITING ROOM YESTERDAY!!! NO PATIENT ADVOCATES AND ONLY ONE NURSE TRIAGING. Needless to say that after several hours of waiting in the waiting room and NOT BEING SEEN I decided to go to another hospital. Lastly, my heart goes out to those who didn't or couldn't do tge same

Eben Bronfman

Once the doctors get it together then the hospital is one of the best. Beside my son was born ther 26 yrs ago.

Luis Iglesias

i was born here in 91' ????

Yura Musheyev

Slow slow slow. Really incompetent staff and give such an attitude. Made me wait 8 hours for no reason.

Lo Wo

Hi my best experience about service in hospital the New York Presbyterian is the best about take care a person never see a hospital in New York about this I recommend 100% the all doctor and nurses very friendly thanks for everything god bless.

Lovjoat Singh

Wait 8hrs and then left.but i figure out in 8 hrs u get treatment with color and reference. I heard and i saw from my eyes ..never go there even i am dying. Before go to this hospital read all reveiw.this hospital only for white people.whatever good reveiw its all from oen people those who get special treatment.

FABOLOUS Djf

My mother had terminal cancer and was admitted here from rehab in distress. They fought hard to try to save my mother and treat her infection. Technically we were not supposed to be allowed in the room because another ICU patient had covid but they graciously allowed my brother into the room to be with my mother during her final hours. Thank you for understanding and allowing my mother to not die alone. The nurses and doctors who spoke with me over the phone were very compassionate towards us and allowed my brother extra time with my mother .

Nermin Baj

My doctor was great, as were the nurses. But a security guard cornered me and asked me on a date. I was in the emergency room for a debilitating migraine, and I get harassed by a security guard. Not okay.

gayle addison

Who wants to go to the emergency room of a hospital? Well, if you have to, include this place on your list of options. We were greeted immediately by helpful staff upon entering the center. The patient was entered into the system quickly, and after a short stay in the waiting room, were triaged to the correct area of the hospital. Even during the wait, a volunteer escorted us to the lunch room to get a snack. The nurses, technicians and doctors (Dr. David Dare) could not have been better, with someone stopping by every once in awhile to check on progress, etc. The location was further out that we would have preferred, but it was worth the trip. If you're not taking an ambulance or car service, the place is accessible by subway with a bus transfer, or by bus depending on your route.

Kimberly Zamora

Waited 10 hours to be induced in labor & delivery waiting room (39 weeks & 5 days), several people were taken ahead of me,n finally after speaking to a nurse supervisor, I was placed in the recovery room. THere a P.A. MICHAELA told me she was going to see how dialated I was, then without warning, intentionally broke my mucus plug. I screamed in pain, "STOP, STOP!! YOU'RE HURTING ME!!" SEVERAL TIMES. She was REMORSELESS & without letting up or lightening her grip, told me "birth hurts". Her & a female Asian doctor, who's name I forget; bullied me into having a induction, telling me my baby will be stillborn & will die in my sleep, I won't even know, that he likely had the cord around his neck, even though they had just performed an ultrasound a couple minutes earlier. I had no preclampsia, diabetes, or fetal complications; that supported having an induction; A procedure which if performed too soon, unnecessarily or incorrectly, can cause fetal death, uterus rupture, oxygen deprivation, cerebral palsy, N-ICU stays, etc. The exam "MICHAELA" gave me, was so rough I felt like a cow being sent to slaughter. I signed out AMA & was given a stack of paperwork I suspect was delayed consent for a membrane stripping, that I didn't ok, but I was too exhausted to read it.(I wasn't given a copy) when I got home I was in a TON of pain, w/bad cramping, SEVERE bleeding, & backaches, that lasted for weeks. I never had these symptoms during my pregnancy before this occurred. Days later NY PRESBY. gyno kept pressuring me into having the induction, listing completely different reasoning then the others did, & throwing in the occasional "but it's your choice". When I declined yet again, & continued my appts for sonograms, Dr razavi LITERALLY made the ultrasound tech walk me into triage to induce that day! I told her I didn’t need to be accompanied nor did I want to induce, she DGAF. I walked in, then got the hell out of there when the tech left. The more forceful they got, the more apprehensive I felt. I just had a BAD FEELING, but no where to go at that point. After every sonogram I was practically stalked by the head of MFM, Dr. Skupski; (who I later found out was being sued by a colleague for sexual assault google it; but wasn't suspended.) He Tried to get me to induce,& also cited different reasons then the previous doctors & nurses. He went on to tell me several times how they don't make anyone induce, they're don't make money off it bla bla. I saw a family friend who's an OB, I was told all was great & there was NO REASON to induce, & doing so would likely cause further interventions(C-section) long hospital stay(ka-ching $$)etc. I then found out there's a TON of pending & recently settled lawsuits (even A-rod is suing them!) many for labor & delivery. Including a woman who was inducted by my NY PRES Doctor. He caused her son brain damage & deprived him of oxygen giving him lifelong cerebral palsy! A lawsuit she won. After a final opinion from a 3rd gyno, I was told yet again everything was fine & not to let myself be bullied. I gave birth at LIJ, to a healthy 8 lb 8 oz boy; no induction or c-section needed. It was a WONDERFUL experience. The doctors from NY PRESBY continued to call my husband & harass me about induction DAILY, until I told them I had our son. 4 months later, I received all kinds of medical bills from NY PRESBY, with BS insurance claims; saying I had appts w/skupski when he was literally stalking me. When I had ultrasound appts he would just randomly show up in the room to push me to induce. They said I was in the ER, I NEVER was. They make you check-in the ER for induction, before you go immediately up to labor & delivery where you actually wait, to suck more money out of your insurance. The whole thing is ridiculous. I'm going to drop the dime to my insurance, if they don't remove the BS claim. Go to LIJ, Winthrop, NYU, mt. Sinai, ANYWHERE BUT NY PRESBYTERIAN!!!! I Wouldn't send my worst enemy here. They DGAF about you, just your insurance

THE WORST HOSPITAL!!!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE STAFF, COLD HEARTED NURSES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHATS THE POINT GOING THERE IF A SICK EMERGENCY PATIENT IS WAITING FOR HOURS AND HOURS TO BE SEEN. PLEASE DON'T GO THERE!!!! WORST HOSPITAL AND STAFF.

Kristy Lisa K.

Honestly, I've always believed hospitals were a great place, a place where doctors and nurses would work miracles and save lives. However, the older I become the more I see that our world isn't the way we think it is. My experience at this hospital was horrible. You can easily tell who actually wanted to help and who just wanted to stand around, collect their paycheck, and then laugh at you or your loved one's suffering. Physician Assistant Choi was one of the staff that I believe could careless whether you got better or not. You could tell by her attitude that she was impatient and did not care how much it hurt the patient when she stuck needles or needed a scan done. There were however, some great nurses that actually cared and had morals. The nurses would provide water, blankets, and had a good attitude. The only reason the staff are able to get away with abuse is due to the fact that the patient cannot speak fluent English. It's not good to generalize an entire hospital staff as incompetent and inhumane but you get the feel when you enter. Security rolling their eyes when someone doesn't know where the button is to open the door as well as nurses raising their voice and getting annoyed if you ask too many questions. Granted, I suppose some patients are at times unreasonable but I think the staff should still help due to the fact that it is a hospital and their sole job is to help people. This is my few cents and I hope whoever reads this does not have the same experience. If you're able to, try to go to a better hospital. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Great, friendly staff, they took care of me pretty well.

Home Wrecker

I like this hospital, friendly environment & most of the staff are good. But the emergency care should be more improved & good, they take a lot of time to start work on patient & the service is also ok type.

Kate

By the far the worst hospital in Queens. More like a Butcher shop.

Anyelin Worships

As a medical professional myself, I understand that the medical staff is truly overwhelmed at the moment and completely under-appreciated. I went in today with my sister in law. She is currently pregnant. Once we got into the labor department, we were taken care of with not only a sense of urgency, but with kindness. Nurse Chin and Nurse Kenny were amazing and very kind and professional. Their bedside manner was outstanding. I truly put all my trust in this hospital and its staff. Thank you for all you do. I will never forget it. Also, my father visited this facility with possible DVT. They ran numerous tests. The attending ER doctor even called me to explain everything that was going on. My father is doing so much better now and I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my entire family. I wish you all the best.

3 hours and counting. Terrible

Anowarul Islam

I’ll save you the trouble of going to this Hospital which is a waste of your time that can never be regained, unless you closely know someone on the medical staff, otherwise you will be waiting for hours on end to be seen. I arrived at the ER 4 hrs ago, only to sit here and wait. I’ve seen patients come after me and my pregnant wife, get care and leave while I’m still waiting. Pathetic ! I don’t recommend anyone going to this Hospital especially to save a life

silvia quizhpi

I brought my son the the ER because his fever wouldn’t go down below 103.5...the MD told me that it is ok that my son has fever.. nothing is going to happen if it goes above 104..I told him you know that when a 6 month old baby gets a very high fever the baby can start having seizures..these MD think that we don’t know things..

Delfina Adolf

Here 6 hrs now. And I understand medical tests take time... but the seats in the waiting area us the most uncomfortable ever... no way to accommodate the families while they wait

diana laboy

My kids they were born here 17 years a go , we still come here. Emergency room is fast as it can be, if you are really sick they take care of you right away. Staff are great specially in the floors, nurses have a lot of knowledge and are kind. Doctors are very good. Clean place. They just have to upgrade the tv's. I forgot to mention doctor Foglia GI surgeon it is the best doctor ever, caring, knowledgeable, professional, awesome doctor

Joker Batman

The best hospital

Not professional at all!

Willmarilin Dejesus

Very very very bad altitudes SERVICE in emergency room

3D Kids Fun House

A very, very large facility that maintains the highest level of careful, caring, on point patient care in all specialties and modalities. A tightly run ship indeed. Friendly staff from housekeeping through radiology, labs, MDs, RNs, et al. I've had truly excellent experiences there. If pressed, I can and will name one physician whom, if not practicing under clear cut conflict of interests, remains a cretin of total amorality. He does detract from this facility's high standards. Such mutants do not usually survive long in a otherwise salubrious system. I suspect that macrophages will ultimately neutralize the singularity of this medical toxicity. Let's hope.

This doctor helped a lot of people including me. Has a good heart and helps people out of sympathy.

Jung Jang

Well first of all even if you are in extreme pain or not you still have to act like you are for them to actually pay attention to you and get you help quick. A family member of mine had to scream and cry so they would give her the attention at first they sent her to the the waiting area mind you that she was actually in extreme pain I had to talk to a worker there and tell them what was going on so they would help me after that they sent her to a room with a doctor but while I was waiting for her to come out there were multiple people who were seriously sick who were in the waiting rooms for hours there was a person who kept vomiting and no one did nothing there was lady who looked like she was nearly dead who was here before me in the waiting room. The wait is so long this use to be the best hospital in nyc where you got quick fast service. Will definitely not be my go to hospital anymore

gobran alqotaini

Good

Simon Landsberg

Have been waiting to er last 7 hrs.....can't even see a doctor...I was referred by a doctor for faster service while having some serious health issue.....

juan gabriel santos luna

Nurse Lauren from 3North has been amazing. My mother is a patient here and she has gone above and beyond to take care of her. Cant give enough praise, hope everyone I encounter can be as efficient and kind as she is.

Lilleth Ip

Hands down the best experience I’ve had at any hospital. I tend to always come here because they’re great, but last night was amazing. Entered the ER barely being able to walk and in very bad pain and I was dealt with right away. The doctors were the best and surgery went well. Special thanks to nurses Shanique Ivery and Revalyn Thomas for everything!

Darlene Holder

Very clean and friendly staff

Jay

We had a great experience having our baby in this hospital. Thank you for all team, you are great! Thanks to Anna Volkova Anna and doctor Olanescu to help me deliver my baby! I would back to have my next one here)

Christopher Kevin

I came in here with my daughter on the 29th around 10pm and I’m still here in the pediatrics and it’s November 30th 5:53 am we have yet to get discharged and it takes hours to see a nurse and or doctor to check my daughter everyone is coming in with the same issue *flu season* and yet my child and her father is sleeping on hospital beds until we are seen he had to miss a new day of work because employees like taking their sweet time to tend to their patients

Zahir Mohamed

The staff was very attentive and had the best bedside manners. I was able to recover very quickly and couldn't have done so without this hospital

Achilles

I went in the emergency at 12 pm and now is 6:40 pm and I’m still here. They just took my blood and that’s it. I swear to god if you are really sick don’t come Here. The wait is ridiculous. They had patients after me going in before me. They keep saying next and next. But my Number never came. Please avoid this place. By the way I’m still Waiting to see A DOCTOR!!

Princess Campbell

Two years ago I fell and broke my ankle and I stayed in this hospital and had surgery there they were very kind and nice to me they made me feel very good this was in February 18 thank you so much keep up the good work

The MAYster

I have had well over a dozen hospital stay/surgeries & a multitude of ambulatory procedures due to giving birth & my health issues. I have utilized many hospitals on Long Island & a couple in Manhattan. Recently I had an ambulatory surgery (foot) performed here. I was impressed from start to finish. The staff was on target with scheduling. I felt comfortable & not anxious. I didn’t even feel like I waited! I had brought a book to read, no time because of the efficiency. There were many in that morning for surgery. The hospital is clean. The staff...doorman to nurses to doctor exceptional. I am so impressed I want to find doctors associated with NY Presbyterian.

James Creque

Excellent Hispital .. Vadcular Doctors and Nurses are very professional and goid at the work they do.?

Eli Park

The WORST hospital. My mother was kept in the emergency room for 26 hours, without food and care. She came with 2 ulcer pressure wounds and a pick line with antibiotics for the infection at the hill wound. After she had an MRi, the sacral wound was showing osteomyelitis at the spine. Due to this she was admitted and after 2 days the antibiotics were stoped and she was left to die, without anybody informing me. Nobody will will turn her and the sacrum wound was getting deeper and all her skin on the back was irritated. After a week they discharged her to the nursing home. During this week I couldn't see and talk to any doctor. Only one answered to my call once but everyday I went there to feed her and no matter how much I asked., no doctor came to talk to me. When she was discharged, the nurse , Emmanuel, took a 2 hours break and didn't care for her change and preparation, and not giving me the discharge papers. HORRIBLE!!!!

Wendy Morales

Never have a problem at this hospital. Professional and attentive ER staff. Hard to understand alll of the low ratings

David Lin

Worst hospital ever never coming here again! ???? LIJ all the way ????

Diane Seltzer-Charchat

I can’t think of a better hospital experience. Each professional introduced themselves and was very kind and attentive. I didn’t want to wait for the survey because I don’t want to forget the names of all the wonderful people who took care of me. Diana in emergency, a perfect nurse was the beginning. Roberta my nurse when I got admitted, a wonderful sympathetic professional, Sue, the nurse who replaced her, wonderful. The surgical team (can’t remember their names, but a better group does not exist). Of course my Surgeon, Dr. Merola, the best and Dr. Villani who also operated, a wonderful manner. Also the anesthesiologist (can’t remember her name but also wonderful and her assistant Gina and the other people. I felt as though there was an army of people taking care of my every need. It was truly incredible! Of course NY Presbyterian Queens is a very busy hospital and I hope I was a good patient. Living near Manhattan there’s always the thought to go there BUT right HERE in Queens, 10 minutes from my house is a great hospital with great staff, oh and by the way, the cleaning staff help you too! KEEP up the great work and service to the community. You are all important; vital to our great borough of Queens and to the city of New York, I was operated on August 2nd and was released on Aug 4, 2018.

Jinny Chang

In shock with what I experienced. I came to this hospital thinking you’ll be safe secure and cared to. Just expect the opposite when walking into this hospital. Expect a 4-5 hour wait and thats only because I had to go to anyone and everyone to ask for help because my boyfriend kept vomiting blood for hours and was about to past out. Also expect rudeness and no careness in the world for patients. Every step of the way was a 2-3 hour wait, getting an x ray and a ct scan. My boyfriend kept saying he’s just gonna end up dying in the hospital. The fastest thing was when someone came asking about his insurance and job status. Which just shows they want to confirm money is in check before the patients own health. Please avoid this hospital. Expected better New York Presbyterian Also RNs taking smoke breaks before checking in on patients .It felt like dealing with mta employes no one wanted to help they all looked and ran the opposite direction.

Damian C

Clean hospital with very nice staffs.

Nun Ya

I had an ambulatory procedure done there and Everyone from the nurses to the doctors made me feel very comfortable. They explained everything they were doing with me from the preperation to the procedure. To the recovery.

Maxima Hernandez

Best hospital in queens.

Afrida Rashid

Patient care is truly the worst. You go to a hospital to seek help and instead all personale treats you with hostility and are very rude. Upon arrival to the emergency room they literally have you wait for more than an hour without checking your vitals at all. It's truly appalling. They don't even have water anywhere in sight. They don't care of patients whats so ever. One of the worst hospitals to seek help during an emergency.

J Yampi

This is nothing better then elmhurst hospital...waiting for a doctor forever...they don't care about patients....look like all the nurse and Doctor enjoying ....please don't come here ...go to other hospital....they need good supervisor....ill never come back here ....

Axelis Torres

They never know what's wrong with you. They run tests keep you there all day, nurses pay 0 attention to you. Never seen an actual doctor, always PA's who are clueless. Excruciating chest pain radiating to the back, swollen feet and they say to go home and take Advil. Not worth your time. This place is ran by children.

Latoya Jean

This hospital should had been better then the rest in queens NY but is not, they don't have mental health doctor, and you can't get a psychiatrist any where here if you come with an emotion emergency this place is not the one! Triage very good the rest just wasted of time!!!! I will not recommend this place!!! For this kind of mental health emergency they are helplessly not satisfying

林锦平

I must say Dr.Todd from the delivery unit was very professional . She did her best effort for my wife . Thanks to Dr.Todd for everything

Grace Gao

UPDATE: They seem to have switched to CNN now. Also, cafeteria and gift shop prices generally tend to be on the high side. Plus, there's an old Baby Grand in the lobby that they won't let anyone touch. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The waiting area is open and spacious, with plenty of windows for sunlight. Cool in summer and warm in winter, it's got relatively few "Unwashed," even in the winter! Only problem is the rather audible Faux Nooze on 24/7...do we really need this kind of idiocy in a hospital??? Anyway, I had a nice experience treating a knee injury -- initial doc/nurse-practitioner and imaging-tech were great, but the senior sports doc who saw me later was rather rude, wanting to rush to a follow-up case (i.e., a follow-up visit) that was more interesting to him professionally (he could bask in the glory of a successful knee surgery instead of my prosaic quotidian check-up type of visit).

Sandra Wiley

My wife went in for a CT. On 7/7/21. And wait one hour pass her appointment time. Then they try two times on her arm for intravenous and it didn’t succeed. Said it needs larger needles. These people in the scan room is unprofessional. Lack of experience. Will never come back. This is the worst hospital I have ever experience. Front desk was friendly, but CT scan room people was under experienced, not a single word of apology.very rude

James Burns

I dont know about the overall service of this location, but my five starts is for Dr. Dyvia Nadella, her partner Dr. Michael Nussbaum and all the staff that attended me the day of my procedure including the nurses Susan and Mary. A minor gastroenterology procedure was done by them at this location and I can not be more grateful for the manner I was treated. Very knowlegable and professional doctors which I highly recommend. Thank you so much!

Angel Baby

If it were possible I would give this place zero stars! This review is written based on the experience in their so called ‘emergency’ room. First off, i don’t know if it’s a ‘shortage’ of manpower issue or whatever but you got a nurse’s station with no nurses and if you expect to get any form of assistance from them when you do get a hold of one then forget it, for some reason doctors only arrive after some hours have passed. The waiting time is excruciatingly long and I am assuming you only receive proper attention when you are brought in by ambulance. How pathetic.

Arbel Medina

This hospital is getting worse! There is no Good Coordination between the team & the shift, they just keep asking the same questions again & again like people lost mind.

Steve

I've never been there, but from all the previous reviews, I see it as a clean, quiet good hospital with very professional staffing.

Mirna Davids Aguilar

awful service, disrespectful nurses, never go back there again

Ed Armas

Slowest service ever. So bad experience.

Carlos Salinas

it's a good hospital

Adam Lim

Good service。

Monique McKinney

I cant say the hospital is a bad hopital but the nurses has to learn some bed side manners when you ring the bell it takes the nurses 30 minutes or more to respond to the call bell and at times the nurses / cnas come into the room and just cuts off the bell without asking if someone rang the bell an they just walk out the room its sad the level of care the staff of 6 north gives

David Boylan 3RD

I delivered my baby here, the service was excellent. Nice and professional staff.

Annabelle ferreira

I was rushed to the hospital on 6/28 Sunday night 2020 I feel over a staton. At a parking garage and cracked my head on a ticket machine I feel down and my head was bleeding profusely because I'm on xarelto I was rushed to the critical care emergency room and was worked on feverishly for about a hour and a half received great doctors nurses and staff are awesome

shoun kennedy

Nice doctors/nurses helped my sister with Penomina. Took a long time, but was really worth it, did an excellent job.

Cindy C

Update: My mother died here on January 10, 2018. ———— My mother had long stays at this hospital twice: the first time for a month, the second time for two months. The doctors here don't know what they're doing as she was threatened with intubation instead of being given a chance to fight (her respiratory system recovered with high-flow and BIPAP assistance) and had a chest tube put in and taken out of her multiple times because there was never a plan, just improvising. They even suggested sending my mom off to an end-of-life hospice at age 53 instead of TRYING. The second time she was here, she started having these bumps on her leg that resembled little spider bites near her discharge day. The doctors, Dr. Tom and Dr. Hasan, said they'll go away on their own and it's nothing to worry about. Our visiting nurse came today and said my mother has merca. This hospital doesn't care about their patients. Don't bring your loved ones here—it's the worst.

Victor weng

Great service and recently very fast. The staff is very warm and welcoming.

Jullett Young

Waited 3 hours here for Jin to come out ... Downstairs got restroom and charging place ! Good that's all I need

Andrew OH

This “emergency room is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I came in with covid symptoms plus fever, tight chest and shortness of breath. The triage nurse was completely rude, my sat O2 was 96 which is still normal but not great. After waiting 3 hours in the er with shortness of breath and fever I asked if I could at least get al it eyal since I am an asthmatic and I felt my chest getting tighter and harder to breath. The pregnant nasty triage nurse told me o am not a doctor go sit in the waiting area. God forbid o would of had an asthma attack on an er and the staff did not care. I left home where I have my asthma a medication since a hospital so bog could be so incompetent. The nurse better expect my complaint to the office of professions.

Andres Chica

Sometimes patients probably has bad experience, depend who's on the shift, because while I was pregnant Doctor Jeremi taking care good good of me & nurses as well ,I don't had bad experience at all, God bless all them as always & protect them

Carmen Gonzalez

I went for a nuchal translucency in the perinatal clinic. This is our first child and a very important time in our lives. First, they lack professionalism. During the registration process, in midsentence, the lady doing the registration just begins talking to a colleague that had nothing to do with work. Second, the technician seemed as if she did not want to be there. She made it seem as if we (my husband and I) were a bother to her. At no time did she try to explain anything to us nor ask us if we had any questions regarding the nuchal translucency exam. I might be asking for too much but I've talked to many friends and have read many different experiences online.

Angeliki Skarakis

Worst medical facility ever, the ER is a joke! Not organized in any sense, nurses rather sit around and joke with each other or flirt with doctors rather than really do their job.

George Bellomusto

I would like extend my gratitude to Dr. Beth Siegal and all the wonderful staff at the hospital. I just had a surgery and stayed over night, the staff was attentive and very friendly. The hospital is clean and it run very efficiently. I have no complains.

Evangelista Damian Rodriguez

The worst ER service ever. My father waited 6 hours before he can be seen. I asked two people at check in when he can be seen and the first person, Maryon gave me an attitude and said she she only does registration. She told me to speak to the nurse Erin and she had a bigger attitude stating she doesnt know when he"ll be seen even without asking for the patients name. Then whole time they were were chit chatting with their co workers in the middle of ER which was so unprofessional when everyone is so sick and waiting to be seen. I am going to put a complaint with Administrator and HR. THE WORST ER SERVICE EVER. I would give a NEGATIVE if I can. They dont care about their patients at all. I have been here a few years back and NYPH wasn't like this. All the nurses and doctors back then cared about their patients. I work in the health field too and our staffs would never treat their pts like this. I only came here because he has been here before and he has a record here. NEVER AGAIN!

Jose R Lopez

Terrible Hospital!!! My father had a schedule appointment for surgery at 1230. No one is allowed with him inside the surgery. We were calling the hospital from 2pm to 7 pm and no response to give us an update if he's good or not. That's unprofessional. I see all around the hospital signs of 4 star rating. Who gave you that rating? They're not honest about their rating.

Cassadi Charles

If I had a choice I wouldn't even give this hospital one star ... from the ambulances that picked up my father to the ER room and the surgical unit team words cannot be expressed of how horrible they had treated my father ... never again will I or any of my family members go to this hospital ...

Andy Lee

The only good thing of this hospital is the name. The doctors, the nurses and the aids are careless and inhumans. My mother suffered a stage 4 bed sore while been there. Nor in ICU or in the regular floor my moms care was treated properly. Is something simple to avoid, but yet some how their careless acts, will take months if not a year for her wound to heal. The doctor's main interest is how much money they can get before Medicare starts pressuring them for discharge. Patients are been discharged pushed or pressured by Medicare and not by the patients health treatment accomplishments. It is a shame that a hospital like this place is called a hospital. I could give it a zero star if i could.

Jemella Johnson

My mother is 82 years old, she is an American citizen and has very good insurance and despite this they have had her in pain for 6 hours and they have not wanted to do anything to alleviate it, in addition to that they refused to give information about her condition until I practically did not want to miver the front desk of ER ... THE WORST HOSPITAL! don't bring your relatives here!

Myesha Walters

My wife and I are thankful for this hospital baby. We are especially grateful for Dr. Na who has delivered two babies for us and is a fantastic doctor. The labor and delivery nursing staff is also outstanding. The cafeteria in the basement is a little-known secret, offering many good food options, especially for breakfast!

다니이

EACH time i have gone it was very bad.The nurses were nice ,but staff is very bad, each time you go they send you into a basement were the rejects go,and if they don't see anything in a blood test or a halter monator they say we don't see anything go home and see your doctor. They don't even offer to see a doctor for the problem you are having, so you can ask questions, about the issues they have only a cover pa,that is not right when you are having a problem with your heat. This is not the first time i had this happen to me,they also gave me cediff which almost killed me.Because they did not put patients in the right rooms so they passed it on to me because nurses did not stay clean, they upset me so much this time that i had another attack when i went home.Do not go there.

Patrice Temple

I am someone who lives in Jamaica Queens and can literally walk to Jamaica Hospital. I choose and prefer to take the 30 min ride to NYHQ instead because the emergency room wait is waaayyy shorter, they take the extra steps necessary to confirm what may or may not be wrong with you. I also love the way each ward is color coded and more organized, this hospital is 1 of the best hospital in Queens and being that it's affiliated w/Presbyterian Hospital is the reason why. I would have given NYHQ a perfect 5star rating if my nurse hadn't ignored me and paid more attention to my roommate because they we're of the same ethnicity during my week stay there, but other then that I <3 NYHQ and will choose them over Jam Hosp any day;-)

Ryan Nasir

Went in with severe stomach pain and bleeding. Waited 8 hours and then I asked the nurse how long it would be because I was in extreme pain. She said to have a seat and wait to be called. Nobody cares or wants to talk to you. You are nothing but a number. I left and went to a real emergency room.

Kat Haggerty

For the past 6 months my health has not been so good - I've been to MANY doctors and unfortunately I was unable to get the proper medical help required that is until I fell extremely ill on the morning of 6/14/12 and ended up in the ER of this outstanding hospital. It was like walking into a different time - everyone was sooooo polite and helpful and concerned. Everyone took special attention and they had manners.....I was able to get a diagnosis and move forward... This hopsital saved my life...... My experience here was definitely positive - and props go to DR Zong Cheng..

Mendoza Fabian

A Manhattan hospital in Queens! Thanks for your professionalism!

Lis Palma

It took me 6 months to write this review because honestly I was so disgusted with this hospital that I didn’t know what to write. My OBGYN was only affiliated with this hospital unfortunately. Towards the end of my pregnancy they sent me on the labor and delivery tour. When I seen the labor and delivery room I was happy. When they brought us down to the maternity floor I was disgusted. Especially since they said the did renovations. The maternity floor looked out dated. Paint peeling off the walls. Looked more like a psych ward to me. I tried to register at Katz but since my doctor wasn’t affiliated it was too much of a process to get records transferred at that point in my pregnancy. The day I went into labor. I had to get induced. The nurses on the labor and delivery floor were great which is why I’m giving them a star. I was in labor for 26 hours. About 6 doctors came in within that time frame to see how dialted I was. Finally after the 6th doctor he told me the baby wasn’t positioned correctly. Which I find ridiculous since the 5 doctors before him should’ve determined that in order to try and position the baby correctly. So I had no choice but to do an emergency C-Section. I informed the nurses we wanted to cut the umbilical cord and do skin to skin. They did not let me do skin to skin right away and they did not let me husband cut the umbilical cord. They took that away from me and my husband. I cried for days Bc that was important and I didn’t see my baby for almost a hour after delivery. The doctor we had Michael Csompo was great. He came in on his day off to even check on me. On the maternity floor the nurses were horrible except for the nurse Jackie and this other lady who helped with me using the bathroom and dressing. I called for Jackie the first night and it took her 30 min to get to the room Bc the lady at the desk decided to take a lunch break and not inform Jackie and I bled out on the bed. Jackie did get mad at her for me since as a patient I shouldn’t have been ignored. The whole time the nurses were rude and didn’t check on me. When I was in so much pain that I couldn’t get up to hold the baby they wouldn’t bring the baby to the nursery to get help for me. I felt like it was the worst experience of my life. I will NEVERRRR come back to this hospital again. I will go to Katz women’s hospital like I originally wanted to. Also I found it very strange that all the woman that were in the hospital with me ALL got C sections. You’re going to tell me that we all truly needed one. We all know you get paid more for c section delivery. I honestly wanted to sue this hospital for how unprofessional it was and not taking the write procedure to ensure my daughter was positioned correctly for delivery and forcing me to have no choice but a c section.

Tuli Hannan

Still waiting 3.5 hours and nothing! Worst service ever! Go somewhere else.

WEI BO Qiu

All the nurses and doctors in Mother and Baby unit are very professional and kind, especially Dr. Jackson and nurse Lynette. This is our first baby, and we decided to breastfeed him, yet it took us lots of efforts to get him latched. Dr. Jackson and Lynette patiently taught us the tricks and the correct positions for breastfeeding, and the baby finally did it. It was such a blessing to have Dr. Jackson and Lynette, we really appreciate their help and kindness. Highly recommended.

Vanessa Montoya V.

I had a seizure in August and after hours of waiting for my results, a nurse told me “it could’ve been anything” and sent me on my way. I was also touched in appropriate by their ambulatory staff and no one in the hospital could point to who was in charge. They kept sending me to different people and asked me to wait more hours to speak to whoever and basically dismissed me. Thanks a lot Presbyterian hospital

shawn dolin

I love this hospital they really nice quick to attend you and super clean.. they are the best I really like it. I recommended, also I didn't have any problems. Specially this hospital clinic is soo nice.. best hospital I been in. keep it up love it love it love it..

Xavier Soto

My whole family chooses New York Presbyterian for years. For many years they have delivered our family members. Staff may change through out the years but the great service is always continuous. Gave birth to both of my babies here and met some great people. Love how most of the staff really cares about you and make you feel important.

Very nice people in the blood donor center..

Kiose Pandelis

Been sitting here for 5 hrs now in pain just for them to call me to take blood from me and tell me I'll have to wait another 2 hrs for the results. Good thing I wasn't dying or I'd really been in trouble smh.

Greek American For everyone J.C

Staff is very friendly.love this horispita, Very clean the staff make u feel very special.

Rayna May

4 hours to check in medical screening another 3 hours to see a doctor

Jason Dasrath

I use to like this hospital but what I experienced I won’t be coming EVER AGAIN . I came in with chest pain and lady did a test and she never told me how I was then she sent me in the waiting room and I had excruciating chest pain , back pain and stomach pain mine you I had already throwed up ! I was in the waiting room for 4-5 hours .nobody called my name like 6 different people left the hospital because they could no longer wait ,the waiting room was EMPTY and I was still waiting and now I was getting a headache. It literally took them 6 hours for them to call my name and finally start caring , HORRIBLE SERVICE. YOU HAVE TO BE BLEEDING OUT OR LOOK LIKE SOMETHING BAD HAPPEN TO YOU FOR THEM TO CARE . NEVER AGAIN

Zenas Washington

This place is the worst.!! Nurses are good but DOCTORS the WORST.! My grandma stood here for 2 weeks and her doctor was dr.Lazaresku. I haven't seen her at all and she refused to make contact with my family. I didn't know if she is a guy at firs.! Please go to Wyckof better then here 100 times

Kassandra DeJesus

This Hospital is just amazing, there is a thousand reasons why I Presbyterian New York is amazing, it was my first time at this location and the staff is super nice, helpful and friendly, specially Eileen, takes good care of everyone, she did it to me. SPECIAL Thanks to the great Doctors, Morales, The ENT Surgery Team and the Imaging Team. You guys gave me back peace and happiness.

Val King

I recommended this hospital to everyone I knew, my granddaughter was born here and the care given to her was beyond our expectations but then again that was 8 years ago. Now I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. They wanna blame everything on Covid well that line is getting really old. My son has been here since 1am with a foot injury at 4 am I was told he had 2 people before him at 6am they told us he was next at 7am I spoke to a manager and I asked for a patient advocate. At 9:30 am when i began screaming and yelling at everyone they wanna tell me that they called him numerous times and he wasn't there no mind you we been sitting here since 1 am and he is on a wheelchair so the only way they called him numerous times was by using sign language. Here I am 10 am still waiting for a patient advocate. As far as covid is concerned maybe the virus wouldn't spread if you kept people with symptoms separate from others. Everyone there was coughing and sneezing and we was exposed to all this while waiting on a foot injury and we was waiting for urgent care I would hate to see how long we would have waiting for the regular ER. Oh and I forgot to mention they said there was only 1 doctor working urgent care and 2 doctors working the main ER. If there are no doctors tell people and give them the choice to wait or go to another hospital that has enough doctors. Definitely will not be returning.

Mahnaz Faruq

Experience severe pain on the chest, heart and abdominal area. The ambulance took more than 40 minutes to transport me from my house to this hospital compared to a 10 minute Uber ride. Spent 7 hours in the emergency room, screaming my heart out from the continuous pain and still waiting to see a doctor!!

kd.profeta kd

Very very bad altitude service in emergency room

Jennifer Borges

Worst hospital ever. Extremely poor patient service and care. They made my pregnant wife who came to the emergency department with extreme nauseous and a fast heart rate wait in the emergency waiting area for over 4 hours. Will never go back to this hospital again. They need better management and staff.

Reyna R Austin

Horrible ER experience, nurses are polite but the wait time is ridiculous. Came in at 11pm and it’s now 4am still waiting to see someone. Others have come and gone, people that came in after us are seen and leave yet we still wait. Unless your guts are hanging out, avoid this place.

diana garcia delacruz

I was admitted to this hospital on 9/26/21 to be induced and have my baby. We arrived at 7am in the morning. I just want to say my overall experience was great. Just wanna give a big shout out to RN Wendy, RN Donnis as a matter of fact the entire staff on the 3rd floor was amazing and catered to my every need while I was there. On 09/28 I delivered my baby via c section. Was transferred to recovery and then to ‘’mother and baby’ on the second floor. There seemed to be a shortage of nurses on that floor because whenever we called or buzzed we’re constantly asked “how can we help” or someone would come who wasn’t able to help and was told I’d have to wait even longer to have someone else come. There are a number on nurses on this floor who deserve a lot of recognition. My absolute favorite was Ms. Davena. I loved Ms Sonia, Xiangxiang aka Tiffany, Tiffany He. Last but not least would love to say a big thank you to the Nurse’s assistant Mary. You’re absolutely an amazing person. I don’t think I would’ve ever made it through this without you guys! Thank you for everything that you do on a daily basis.

Stanley

All Drs, nurses & US technician are very attentive, details oriented & helpful ! Best hospital i have ever seen. My baby is born here & they take care a lot while delivery from begining to end !! Highly recommend this hospital

Dr. J

Was at the ER last Friday. The staff is very friendly and took great care of me. They quickly found out what wrong and treated me. They also took great care of my mom when she was sick. Thank you so much!

Samantha Hsieu

Was emergently sent from citifield and could not be more appreciative of the quality of care and friendliness of all that helped me. I spent three days on the CCU and left with a stent, Dr Mark Balek the cardiologist was exceptional and I have dropped my cardiologist at Stony Brook and will be driving to Queens, it's worth the trip!

Roblox and transit

Very good service and fast and is so clean everything.

Julissa Nunez

Place is good !!! They are very nice at the emergency office and are very funny and also very good Pepole I like this hospital but can take a long time

Ricardo Cabuhat

The doctors did not solve my problem and it took 5 HOURS for the doctor to attend me

Damaris Israel

My girl was born in this hospital. I am extremely satisfied, there are working excellent people. Very nice athmosphere. Everybody nurse doctors nurse asisstents pediatrics were so knowvledgeable and attentive. Thank you for your job. Great hospital.

Andres Munoz

Competent, caring, friendly. Great teamwork.

Justin Lazo

The waiting time it is ridiculous. Like people attend ER for fun. I have a nurse that drop me in the triage then disappeared. Can believe that long time ago this was one of the best hospitals in the whole nation.

Vinny Spoons

One of the most nicest people and cleanest place

sonam yangzom

This should be 0. This hospital is the hospital from hell. The nurses in this are very rude and argumentative with the patient and families. You can not get any answer from anybody, all you get is I do not know, we are not sure, we are checking and so on. My husband has been in the hospital for 2 days and we still don't know what is wrong with him. You have to order your own food, have to wait for 15 to 25 for them to answer and the food is always late. People if you want to keep your sanity, do not come to this hospital. If you need a GOOD hospital go to NYP in Manhattan. I came to this hell because the ambulance would not take us there it was too far.

Emily Andrade

this hospital has the WORST customer service. I just spent 29:05 minutes on HOLD with the billing department. Then someone FINA-effing-LLY picks up and they have the nerve to hang up on me?? I called back, and the office is currently closed. Gee. How convenient at 4:21pm.

Juan Ovalle

Words cannot describe how happy I am with this hospital. My mother was hospitalized with COVID in March and they were very helpful. I loved the attention that was given to her. A case manager was assigned in the ER calling family members of patients and follow up. In other hospitals, it was impossible to reach someone to talk to since it was so crazy. NYP Queens was very organized despite the overwhelming times. I highly recommend this hospital.

Tom Y

Doctors taking too long to see a pacient 4 to 6 hours on pediatric room..3 doctors for all pacients...it see a bunch of people doing noting.

Jaymie Estevez

worst hospital ever!! dont go, they make you wait for 2-3 hours to get checked up and honestly my brother was very sick and they didnt care at all. he had a high fever of 103.2, ear pain and rash and they said he didnt have a fever when hes been having a fever for 2 days and he had a fever last week and that its normal to have a rash and they said to come back when fever occurs and they did absolutely nothing at all. id rather go to the on broadway

hassam shakeel

Hospitality, bedside manners, and most importantly a sense of urgency - things that are completely lacking. Coming from a family that works in the medical industry in different hospitals this one takes the cake as one of the worst. My father suffered a stroke recently and because he had a past of alcoholism they wanted to wait FOUR hours, after the results of the blood test, before doing a cat scan. To top it off, the lack of knowledge (nurses asking for help from my cousin who is also a nurse at another hospital because they didn't know how to explain things) to the sense of urgency was outrageous. I would highly, highly recommend another hospital because this one is terrible and completely undeserving of the NY Presbyterian name.

Lucy Lin

By far the worst experience I have had in an emergency room. Not only did they make us wait two hours because they coded us incorrectly, I had to keep approaching the desk. My sister is extremely ill and they were apathetic and not helpful. When we finally got into the actual room, we waited yet another hour to be seen by a doctor. Their excuse? 'It's very busy tonight mam' Oh really? Then why did you treat someone who not only came after us but also had a simple ear infection before even acknowledging we are still here? I can understand busy but they were not prioritizing properly. Writing this from the hospital-still waiting to be seen....

Amir Durrani

I was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure due to COVID. The staff on the eighth floor north wing saved my life. Thank you Dr. Rakhvalchuk, RN Jennifer and all the nurses, nursing assistants, technicians, aides etc… for their deep compassion to humanity. I’m still not out of the loop since the discharge but I am forever appreciative. Words cannot express how I feel.

Mamaru 25

When you look at all the one stars here, it tells you all. It's critical care that those doctors or staffs that lack of. Doctors aren't competent enough, don't even mention those staffs which one you can really trust, do some research, I would not come back to this hospital for my life sake. Thinking this could only happen to others? No, Too late for me to see it myself! My mom died in this place. Horrible! I should have listened to one of the patient there telling me about the survival rate of the hospital. That was my - BIGGEST mistake - to take my mom back and forth to this hospital and i will regret for the rest of my life! The administrator on the 8th floor could only call security guards for patients families who want to address their concerns. She was really a nightmare in controlling your voice of concerns, which is really immoral. She may be a grandma of someone and yet being so inhuman to the family and patient. She came into my mom's room a few times and telling me and other doctors that my mom should not be kept going with my support. She had security guard in my mom's room the day she passed away and the day before, she had me out in the snow while my mom had no one by her bed. The nurse head told me to leave at the night before my mom passed away though i begging her to let me stay. The attending doctor told me could not transfer to another hospital because he didn't know anyone in the other hospital and even i had made the phone call had the other hospital dr. called him. I could have called a helicopter to get my mom to another hospital overnight if time could turn back! It's a joke wait to see your love one's life suffering and helplessly thinking this place can do anything? No. I would say doctors and nurses and administrators were the worse. It's a nightmare hospital!!!! One time after my mom had been discharged and sent back the other day, one of the attending dr called me while my mom was back in the hospital, the dr on the phone thinking she had not been discharged and she told me the x ray shown she had pneumonia, should have stayed in the hospital. What a joke for life! Her blood level went down to 3 and no one in the room to give her any blood test to find out until i urged to. So many things it would take me pages to write about it. It Had Have Happened in this hospital! She had painful suppressed lumber, the PA told me she had psychological problem. Another time It was life threatening situation that i called 911 and saved her life and the PA who was delivering discharging instruction, told me not to take her back and forth to the hospital??? She didn't even bother to check why was she admitted? Yes i should have brought her to another hospital immediately. Did she know that this was a serious mistake statement? The night before she passed away, her fever was high and body was swollen to 3x of her own size and the dr. on call saying it was alright? Nightmare is the perfect word to describe whenever driving by it. All those memories of dealing with the issue of sanitation of nurse aid did not change gloves to the negligence of doctors and the immorality of administrator makes me sick of it, It was like a dead end road there,

Jose Rodriguez

Stay away from this hospital. My mom who was a long time cancer survivor was admitted/ transferred to this hospital for therapeutic treatment after she fell at home , due to the fact that she had scheduled ten sessions of radiation treatments by her oncologist we decided that it will be best for her to stay in TCU recovery unit on the 7'floor and continue with her radiation procedures. Her overall condition was slightly improved within two days with only need for physical therapy ( which she received) to go back to her everyday routine. In one day, she from recovered patient turned into multi organs failed patient who got pneumonia on a top of all her diagnosis. Most of the hospital staff including doctors who treat her at emergency room were unable to clarify what exactly happened with her. The only message we got from them is that she is not going to make because of her diagnosis...... Our mom gone in 24 hours..... Most of MICU nurses did a great job and were very kind, however one nurse who's name was Deborah or Debra was very rude to our sisters and just sticked needles into our mom's body and keep saying that our mom will not going to make and we have to let her go....

Martin A. Alvarado

I went there at 1:15pm and sat there amount many patients waited till 6:58pm and when I asked the nurse she said there is 3 people before me still. I just gave them my registration paper and walked out. Knowing this was the emergency department. I thought Jamaica hospital was the worst that’s why I didn’t go there but I regretted not going there but I was wrong, New York Presbyterian Queens is the worst. I gave it 1 star because google wouldn’t let me post my review without giving any star.

RIC RODRIGUEZ

Bestial for anything

Javokhir Mukhamadiev

Nice prompt help

faneeza jaleel

I went there to get my tooth pulled. They didn’t do too bad but it’s nothing like Presbyterian on 60th and York.

MBH TV

Lashanna Rodriguez

Very good fije start

Pedro Loveras

Excellent...the staff is very nice ... Everything is excellent

Kim G

excellent service!! I loved the way to treat me when I had my baby! each peesonal is very kind and take the time to help you in everything related to a newborn and with more reason if it is your first baby! I would definitely give birth in that hospital without the slightest doubt!!!

Jung Hsu

2 hours wait time to be seen in the ER, another 2 hours to finally get my CT scan. Outside the ER waiting room there are no TVs or anything to keep yourself entertained. It's like watching paint dry.

Billy Lam

Staff is nice especially Brian and this one other lady (I forgot what her name was but she brought me to my room) BUT I waited 8 hours in the ER for an asthma diagnosis. 5:55p.m. I check in, 2:15 a.m. the next day I leave. ???????????? Unless you have an appointment I really don't recommend coming here.

Mick K

Excellent Labor & Delivery

Bela Erra

ER is the worst. People they hire have no compassion and all have attitudes. Was hung up on by Terry when expressing my concern about family member being left unattended and falling. The reviews are true. ER DEPARTMENT SUCKS......

Chicken McNobody

My experience was so bad I went there with my wife this is a really bad place please you can come here if you want to kill yourself I was waiting there for 7 hours at emergency room some nurses was using there sell phone & chilling with each others they said they are very busy. My wife was feeling too much in her belly I told them but they did not give her any medicine. If we need to wait 10 hours why we should go to emergency .

Jakub Dulian

I took my grand father in the emergency Room around 3pm they did few tests in the beginning and then made us wait 8 hrs to meet the doctor and go over reports .we left the hospital around 11pm . I have been to hospitals where emergency rooms took few hours to see the patient but this hospital tops all of them . I wish i could give them -5 .

Fred Sung

Great hospital! Great healthcare workers! ! Thank you very much for your meticulous treatment, which made my body healed!

Anwar Shamim

I would not recommend nobody to go to this hospital to NOBODY !!! Everytime i come here there always lolly gagging and its alway a wait i. The emergency room mind u i just got plasitc surgery done and my stitches came out im in need to stitches and there having private conversations that has nothing to do with work playing and the ambulance staff is talking about eating weed edibles SAD!!!!

Omar Rahimi

Worse hospital, especially if your loved one has covid. They will make condition worse with medications that they give them, intubate and let them die. They will not even try other medicine that work great in other hospitals or shows great results. They are restricted of what they can do. I refused intubation, so my close family member lived for 2 weeks. I put one star, because the hospital allowed me to spend last 2-3 days with my family member at least for few hours. The last day when my family member died nobody even called me from the hospital to let me know about it. When I came in I was shocked mask was off, from patients face, bipap machine was turned off. Felt like someone took the mask off to speed up the process.

Deborah Herrand

I dropped food for my mother in the front desk since visitors aren’t allowed. It took over an hour just to take the food inside when it was just a minute job. On top of that the lady in the front desk was rude just because we asked when the food is getting inside. And for treatment, they just did ikr CT scan and told my mother just take the medicine and your pain will go away in 2-3 days. When I asked my mother to tell the doctor to talk to me they made her wait another hour. I am still waiting in the street with no idea what’s going on inside.

Brian Sane

Amazing hospital.

Michael Pomposello

Very clean friendly and professional.between Dr and stuff, all good at least in the area of outpatient surgery.vey organiice from the very first step to the last.God bless all the nurses and Doctors the perfect combination for a good health

Omisa Lee

Doctors and staffs here are full of professional attitude and are also full of kindness to the children.

Marina Zilber

Hi All, Our beautiful child was born on August 2, and I usually do not leave any reviews. However let me share some NYPQ experience with you. We were extremely satisfied with care and attention from hospital staff. From day one when we attended and 3 days after we were discharged. There is no "NO" word from anyone there if you have any request. They always listen and follow with your request. Always care, and there for your needs. If you want separate room you get it, if you want fish no meet, you got it.If you tell them do not give your baby a pacifier, they do not. We where breastfeeding and very strict how we want our baby to eat. If you tell them wake you up when you baby is crying in the middle of the night they will call you (our baby was in NICU for few days) we were very pleased with their work and would Highly Recommend it to everyone. I was 24 hours without sleep and when I was coming back from lunch room, got lost a bit. The staff member listened carefully and allow me to come up through staff elevator to be there for my wife and baby, no questions asked. I call the NYPQ staff a professionals. Love you guys and thank you very much for you job!

Luz

This hosptial is just outrageous! Ive been going here for years, my grandmother was here before she died, I had my son here about a year ago. Back then I would say that this is a good hospital, but now my whole outlook to this hospital is bad. If I could give it 0 stars I would. My last visit is the reason I would do so. My grandfather had a seizure he is 78 years old & was admitted here, after I received the call I practically ran over here with my son, I got there maybe an hour after he got there. Not only was he under a false name & it took me about 30 mins to find him, he was under that false name the whole time he was there! He was there for 4 days! I told them he's real name & all of hes info the day he was admitted & they still never changed it! There was family/friends trying to see if he was okay & they couldnt find him because he was under a false name! God forbid he could have died & nobody would have known! He had hes ID on him, they could have just taken a minute to look but they didnt. Not only did they do that but the day he was gonna be discharged they didnt want to get him any clothes!! They had to rip hes clothes when he got here, which in my opinion was pointless, he didnt have trauma, just a seizure. They offered to give him PAPER SCURBS! Are you kidding me? Its freezing outside the poor man doesnt have clothes because THEY DECIDED TO RIP IT OFF! They made me talk to a bunch of people, all for some clothes! They came offering short pants & a hoodie, it was 30 degrees outside! I was arguing with the staff & even a supervisor to get my grandfather clothes, they were like "he could be discharged tomorrow when you bring him clothes" We are currently homeless, Im in a shelter with my son & husband, my grandfather didnt want to go through the system so he decided he can stay with people, I couldnt just go get hes clothes cause he hardly has any! Im placed in brooklyn & have a curfew at my shelter, what was I suppose to do? I couldnt afford him staying another night in the hospital, especially if they reason hes staying an extra night is cause "nobody could find clothes" I love my grandfather very much, he raised me & Ill give the world for him, after 4 hours of arguing, the supervisor was calling security on me but for what? Im here for hours just trying to make sure my grandfather leaves safely! Do you wanna know who ended up helping us? The security guards!!! It took them 20 mins to get sweat pants a heavy jacket AND two thermal sweaters!! So you wanna tell me that the hospital staff couldnt do that? My grandfather was on the 8th floor, the supervisor was very rude & no one was doing anything. I will never go to this hosptial again, what happened on this day was just unacceptable, if they treated my grandfather like this, then im pretty sure we aren't the only ones that got mistreated at this hospital. EVERYBODY PLEASE whoever has an elderly family member or friend, remember alot of people mistreat the elderly, at the end of the day if it wasnt for them where would we be? Why would we make their world harder just cause we dont wanna deal with them? This was their world first! Sorry for the long review, its just I never experienced this anywhere else & I know they mistreat their patients. The staff there make over 20 an hour, it seems like what they make has made them lose their humanity, the people who treat hospitals like a business are really messed up in the head, at the end of the day lives are more important then business!!!

Farz M

I walked in with chest tightness and some pain down my left arm. I was taken to do an EKG right away. It took a while for the results to come. They did many tests including one to make sure that I didn't have any blood clots since I travelled the day before. They were thorough in their approach to dealing with my issue. The staff were professional and friendly and did their best to keep me informed when information came in. I would definitely recommend the emergency room. It took about 7 hours but they did a thorough work up which put me at ease.

jose rodriguez

I was attended by Jia Lee my goodness in seconds she drew blood and gave my antibodies and fixed my IV. Super attentive and helpful. Thank you Jia Lee

Benjamin Kaplan

I had the BEST ER experience in this facility. The nurses and doctors go above and beyond at ALL times to make your child feel better. I am SO glad I decided to take my son here after a terrible experience at Cohen’s Children at North Shore. If you care about your child, take him/ her to New York Presbyterian Queens. I am so thankful to the entire team of staff for their amazing care.

Lanna Zeltser

I took my 9 year old son to emergency room and we were served perfectly. I loved the stuff so much. God bless all stuff of medical field and particularly doctors, nurses and assistants of this hospital. We need you always...

ZHIHAO LIN

This hospital does not care about there patients. Most of them get a check and bounce. I would not recommend this hospital if you want to make it out alive go to a different place. Horrible place this place should be shutdown!!!!

Marina Perezagua

Where do I begin…. I have to say I live in Brooklyn, NY and would drive all the way to this hospital because at one point it was the best hospital to me. I would take my kids and my husband. mind you I live literally 2 blocks from Coney Island hospital and would still drive all the way to queens just to come to this hospital. Well NEVER AGAIN!! I fell and bumped my head. I take blood thinners so it is definitely a serious case. I walked in and they continuously tried to insinuate that I didn’t fall. Explained several times how I fell and they just continuously said if that is the story I am sticking with. I was disgusted and they can see that so they took me right in. NEVER ASKED FOR MY INSURANCE INFORMATION. They took me to triage and the nurse took my pressure and it was EXTREMELY HIGH. 177/121. Now this is stroke pressure and I just bumped my head. The triage nurse never asked me what medicine I take, only if I have high blood pressure. They asked for my doctor’s name and that’s it (no contact information). I got to the hospital at 10:15pm and they never once gave/offered me an ice pack for the big knot that was protruding out and can be seen through my hair. They never gave/offered me anything to bring my pressure down or for the pain. Nor did they have a doctor come over to evaluate me at any point during the 6 hours I was there. I waited 3 hours to get a CT Scan done. I then waited another 3 hours to get the results which mind you were given to me by the nurse. NEVER once did a doctor, a PA or a NP come over to check me or discuss results with me. I was never seen or even checked by the doctor. When I complained to the ER “Manager” Manny who told me it is very busy and they are understaffed. Apologized and advised him that is not my problem. Explained to him the situation and he stated he will see what’s going on. He then disappeared and never returned to try and resolve anything. The nurse then came over and took my pressure again at which time it was 177/111 and still nothing was done. Another nurse then walked over to “my” nurse and asked if he was using the machine he stated he was done. The female nurse then said out loud you sure you don’t need this cause this pressure is REALLY high. I went over to the nurse and she stated yes that is stroke pressure but yet and still nothing was given not even an ice pack or something for the pain. At this point I am beyond frustrated and asked that they give me my paperwork so I can leave. There is no reason that a patient that has high blood pressure and takes Coumadin who is experiencing stroke like pressure and a blunt impact to the head with a 2-4” hematoma should be sitting in the Emergency room in a chair without being evaluated by a doctor. Now of course I am receiving bills from the ER, as well as the attending physician which I never saw, for the CT scan, and for the review of the CT Scan which I never received the diagnosis. Obviously this hospital has turned into a regular NYC hospital that just doesn’t care about their patients. Nurses and Doctors were just sitting around, joking, on their phones and not paying any mind to the patients that were there including myself. I AM BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH THIS HOSPITAL AND WILL NEVER GO BACK NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS. MY VISIT WAS ON 1/2/18. i WENT IN AT 10:15 PM AND DID NOT LEAVE UNTIL 4AM.

Joy Ault

ER had fast friendly care.

sean reid

This is the worst hospital I've been to. I've been in the ER for almost three hrs. They call one person every hr or so. It's super cold in here. It's just terrible Don't come here if you need to be seen for an emergency. You'll die and you'll probably still have to wait to remove your body.

jennifer bau

I am in hospital this time, Chief of surgery Pierre F. Saldinger. you are very concerned about me, in the busy schedule to find time to come to the ward to see me, you are very responsible good doctor. Operating table to play a high level of positive energy, superb technology. You are willing to take care of each patient with beautiful mind and exquisite technology, so that the patient's life continues and health reappears. I'm so proud of you。 You're an excellent angel in white。 Patient. Xiu ying wan. 10-12-2019

My mother died in this hospital. She was two months short if 90 years old. I just want to say before you decide to sign a form called do not resuscitate or do not interbate think twice. She. Not given the treatment she needed. There were several things that they did wrong. When you sign the d.n.i. and d.n r form that doesnt mean do not treat, they seemed to have forgotten that. Gid bless you mom, rest in peace

Samantha Lynn

This was my first time admitted here as a paitent. First, the building seems new and beautiful, so was stuff. But as I stayed longer, I found out my room's heater is broken and ice machine is broken. Nurse here I had really did minimum if not just empty promises. I rarely seen by doctors as well. Person who worked hard was Assistant Nurse Ms Tarsha. She was going beyond and above to make us comfortable and did whatever I asked. She is amazing hard working person.

Qiang Weng

Pregnant and waited over 10 hours, vomiting profusely expressed my chest pain, blurry sight and dizziness and still was left there like garbage. Turns out I was very dehydrated needed and IV, I bled and I have severe HG. I won’t ever go back there for an emergency.

Lorena Osorio

Gorgeous remodel and integration of new hospital staff and policies!

Marie Petit

Good vibes from all of the people i interacted with.

In the ER my dad waited 4 hours for Tylenol. Every request was met with an eye roll. Utter incompetence.

I liked the reviews with 1 star. I know it because it won’t let us to give negative stars. ER is not emergency in this hospital. Waiting 10 hours seems a normal thing happened here.

I gave birth to my daughter here on September 13 2017 and majority of the staff were AMAZING!! They went out of their way to help me out with just about everything I needed and any questions i had they answered! I felt very comfortable leaving my daughter in the hands of the nursery staff knowing she'll be taken care of for the short time she was there. I ended up with postpartum preeclampsia unfortunately and had to stay an extra day and a half and be treated but in the recovery room the staff I had were absolutely great! I was even allowed to pump breast milk and my husband was able to bring it downstairs while my daughter was in the nursery! This hospital is clean and well managed. I am very happy with my experience here! Thank you NYH!!

We’ve been in the ER with my daughter waiting for the hospital room for over 28 hours now even after officially admitted status 12 hours ago. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. You have to chase people down to try and get some sort of answer and they all feed you the same answer “I need to check and will come back”. The ER is a hellzone. The staff are boring and slow. They don’t check on you, no privacy, uncomfortable, miserable atmosphere.

It's a worst hospital they put me in urgent care department and its take only 2 hours and only 4 patients go inside and I am wait and I am living in this neighborhood that why I came but it's a worst decision to come in emergency if you come remember 6:00 hours you stay for little purpose.

Everyone in radiology department was so professional and kind. For future testing I would absolutely go to nyp queens hospital.

Liz

Nurse repeatedly said she doesn't have time to give me the medication or stuff to help w my pain. Had me wait hours to get my scan... Wasn't a pleasant experience. Go somewhere else if you had a choice.

This hospital is suck on Tuesday 5-31-20 16 more then 6 hour's

Incredible well run and very organized hospital. Our whole family has been treated here; always successfully and received great bedside manners. Even the food is good! Wonderful doctors and nurses and maintenance crew????. They kept the room spotless. Very detailed and clear follow ups every time we had an emergency. Will always request this location when considering hospitalization.

I went in to the hospital in the middle of the night because I was having shortness of breath. When i got there, i explained to one of the nurses what i was experiencing, something that I have NEVER felt before. As I was explaining to her that I felt as though I was going to die, she had the audacity to raise her hands up as though she were pointing to her surroundings and say “everyone here feels like this, you need to wait” with a horrid attitude. She proceeded to ask me what my name was and when I was attempting to breathe out my name as best as i can, she rudely stated “you need to speak louder, I can’t hear you.” The nurses in the ER have absolutely no compassion whatsoever for your pain; in the hours that I had to wait for a single doctor to check me out, my blood sugar was dropping drastically as I didn’t have anything to eat (I am a diabetic). When I asked my nurse to provide me with something to eat, he NEVER came back and I watched him as he sat at the nurses station, on his computer and chatting with his coworkers about his plans for the next day. It took asking three different people and a wait time of TWO HOURS for me, as a diabetic, to receive juice and some graham crackers. Since I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, I’ve been to this hospital twice in the span of two weeks and it has been horrid experiences in both times. I genuinely feel that this is because the nurses are taking advantage of the fact that the hospital doesn’t allow family members to come in with the patient due to COVID , leaving vulnerable, fatigued patients such as myself to be abused in such a manner. The manner in which the nurses have treated me and the people around me was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable, and what makes it SO HORRIBLE is when you’re in pain and the only thing you’re hearing is what club the nurses are heading to that day. If you can avoid it, DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR THE ER

Wayne Rhodes

Had to take a friend to the ER here nice as quick as they could be... ers are never fast. But they did what needed to do and it worked out well as it could have.

I have 15 years of experience with a bachelor degree in Human Resources and with a minor in communication.. I have been applying to every open job that i know I am qualified for but I never got hired. So I found out that In order to get a job in this hospital or any other hospitals.. you have to meet the following criteria.. 1. Mommy or daddy working there 2. Aunty or uncle working there 3. or you have to sleep with someone! 4. It’s who you know not what you know So I don’t get the point of having a degree or experience because It’s useless!

Jennifer Cisneros

Be careful going to the emergency room they have covid positive patient with non covid positive in the same room!! Yesterday was at the er with my father no one told us anything except one kind nurse that gave us extra mask to double mask she had told us the room was full of covid patient i was extremely upset is that even allowed ?

Luis Aponte

Good hospital

HDEZ TECH

Emergency room staff is friendly and knowledgeable but the wait is outrageous! Waited 3 hours for transport from ED to the admitted room! How backed up can you be to wait for transport 3 hours?? Terrible!!

Daveliz Campuzano

F*****g unbelievable ER, you already dead before they call you, you will wait for 3 to 5 hours. Don't go in this F*****g hospital m

Nubia Martinez

First off gotta say best hospital i give birth at (2nd time mom) i had the best nurse assistants (graciela and Nayden) they taken so good care of me i will miss them....

Janxii Navii

Horrible pediatric (emergency) service.

carmelina chay

Awful. This place is simply just awful. After waiting seven plus hours to see, I was send home without a diagnosis and just some pain medicine. Please please avoid this hospital, unless you have countless hours to kill. Also I had ask the nurse how people are queued, and she stated that it was by state of emergency, but after seven hours of observing it was clearly who can complained the most. Completely unprofessionql.

chris rudi

My obstetrician is not affiliated with this hospital, but I decided that it would be my hospital to gave birth, after speaking with Mrs. Dora Ruiz and making it clear to me that even if my obstetrician was not affiliated with the hospital I could still gave birth there, I had no doubt, from the beginning excellent care, both the nurses and delivery team were excellent, during my 3-day stay the nurses took special care, I can not remember the name of the nearly 15 who took care of me and my baby but each and every one did their work with love and vocation, if you are going to be a mother do not hesitate to leave in the hands of this hospital and this team the best moment of your life. Thank you so much!!!

Angela Jurkovic

I only go here to see my daughter's pediatric doctor. Don't go to the ER it is horrible !!!! They don't care about the kids being sick. My daughter had a fever and the doctor didn't care. I take my daughter to Elmhurst Hospital only if I need to go to the ER !!!

Sandy Flores

This hospital is amazing. When I had the coronavirus, I first went to the NY Presbyterian in Manhattan, the doctor there was rude saying that I should just assume I have the virus. He also said the tests are for senior citizens and medical personnel. They just did an X-ray and said I have pneumonia. I then went to this NY Presbyterian Hospital in Flushing, and it was quite the opposite! They admitted me in right away, even though their emergency area was packed. I was tested within 30 minutes, they gave me the results later that night saying I tested positive. I don't blame them for keeping my bed at the feet of another patient, since they were packed. They took me to the basement the day after, was kinda creepy.. lol. But then ended up in their designated coronavirus patient area. I was put in a room that had a reclining chair, no bed. And the Doctors, Nurses, everyone their was amazing. Super friendly. They explained every pill, every shot, that they gave me. It was my birthday there too! The nurses gave me a bottle of water, a bag of lays, and a flower with a cute little post-it saying Happy Birthday! They also came and wished me personally. I loved it there, and they cured me so I can get back to my wife and kids! If any of the doctors or nurses that took care of me is reading this Thank You! Love you! You guys are my heroes!

Mario Lema

Waiting time was too long at emergency room!!!

Arthur Johnsen

Fantastic service and prompt response to emergencies.

Bryan Lopez

Don’t bother

Keykey Valentine

Huge wait due to Covid but I just want to take a few mins to show acknowledgment to one of the best doctors I’ve ever met! Brady Gelvin has to be the most caring doctor I’ve met thus far. We need more people like him in the medical field. Thank you for your hard work. It shall never go unnoticed!

Katelynn LeFave

The only reason I gave one star is because of emergency room nurse Elvin. He was the only good experience I had in this awful place. He was kind and compassionate and treated me well. As for the doctor who came in for three seconds and never return and her nasty assistant who gave me his attitude and would talk up at the ceiling because he refused to look at me and speak to me with respect, both of you should learn how to take care of patients from nurse Elvin.

shuxia chen

Excellent service!

Shirin Nayna

My husband was hospitalized here with 9 broken ribs on November the ninth 2017. He was on floor 7 step down, the staff was outstanding Professional, caring and friendly. I was never worried about his care.

IRINA ZAVUL

The Hospital is the best in Queens New York but today's experience was not good, the Rude Gentleman guarding the Waiting room at the ER needs Customer service training & should treat patients & family members with alil respect

Emilio Matos

truely one of the best hospitals in the state of new york its not just about its impeccable cleanliness-but about its staff who are deverse and yet come together as a team that offers the best treatment and after treatmnet in new york city

They got us in in a timely manner. However , don't go here. The attending doctors will talk youand about snicker about you in the emergency room while getting your consult information. Too bad they didn't notice I could hear everything. To the doctor that actually switched shift with the doctor that was supposed to see me but didnt want to, I thank you. You were kind and compassionate and gave me an answer to my problems.

Davin Santo

I am a 28 Years old Paraplegic ( paralyzed from the waist down ) with spinal cord injury and surgery. I went to the emergency room on the date of 10/27/2017 with pain located on multiple parts of my body and problems breathing, including chest pain, vomiting, dizziness, headache among other symptoms. I had fallen from my chair hitting my back where surgery was done increasing my pain 20 times more than usual. I got to the ER exactly at 9PM and they did not even moved me inside to be seen by a doctor until almost 2AM next day. tests were done after that time.

stepandrepeatdepot NYC

Worst ER ever...went in today they did absolutely nothing and had us wait 2.5 hours to do one test...and then made us wait another 3 hours for a second test...this place is such a disaster, wish I could give 0 stars instead...

Evan Durant

I brought my mother to the emergency because she had severe toothache. The front desk and the standby nurse were awesome and helpful. The doctor/dentist Dr Phun was very kind and caring. He took care of my mother's ailment very well. He was very professional and made sure my mother felt better before she left the emergency unit. He gave us all the needed info for the further treatment. He is the best!!!!

Rimma Pozdnyakova

This hospital was the worst. Litterally the absolute worst experience i have ever had, i arrived at 1am with my fiancé who had a injured foot and ended up being broken. He wasn’t seen till 1 hour later and than i was told it would take about 2-3 hours to be seen by a doctor! And get xrays! This is an emergency room for a reason i can not believe the wait and mind you there were only two other people being seen. Absolutely ridiculous i do not recommend coming here to be seen.

Alema

Our 89 year old father was admitted to the hospital for COVID treatment. He is still in the hospital but he is doing so much better. Doctor Kristin Kang has been taking great care of him, she calls us every day with the updates and she is so thorough, helpful and supportive. Thank you so much for taking care of our father and be safe! Rimma and Mikhail.

Was hospitalized for 5 days for low blood level and fluids from constant diarrhea, went to the ER and was instantly given the attention I needed, the longest wait was being admitted. Got my iv fluids, blood transfusion, colonoscopy, and MRI to find out I had Crohns disease. the nurses were super helpful and nice, always happy to help me and super cheerful. After i got my colonoscopy I started getting some really good lunches like tuna sandwich, chicken tenders with fries, potatoe chips and good drinks. Nurses always had what I needed be it an extra pair of underwear or socks or some more food. Next time I need to go to the ER I'll definitely come back here.

Jacqueline Guisao

Nothing particularly great about this hospital or the er. My mom was in a stretcher to be taken to the er but it still took roughly 3 hours to be even seen. The staff are pretty rude. One lashed out at me because I asked her if my mom could have some ice. I saw another worker yell at a sick man who was sitting on the floor, demanding that he sit on a chair even though it was difficult for him to get up. Nurses didn't know what they were giving my mother and no body seemed like they cared all too much. There were 2 really friendly nurses though but most of the workers I've met... Weren't anything I was happy about. This is my 2nd day here for my mom and there's no end in sight because their plans keep changing and nothing is being done.

luke r

Nothing went with Sister in law with Severe pain waited 3 1/2 hours. Kept telling them Nothing was done. Had to leave to another Hospital. Worst Emergency room for anyone....Rude staff.

Bernard Leon

The staff here are very nice. Talked with one of the security guards here named Philome, really sweet and understanding guy! I wish there were more humans like him. Helped ease my worries and basically told me how he could tell I looked worried. Really really kind fella, thank you for making me feel welcome :)

Nathalie Louis

I would like to thank all the staff of the delivery and maternity units of New York Presbyterian Queens (physicians, anesthesiologist, nurses), where I delivered my baby on 26th of July. My special thanks go to my doctor Andrea Olanescu and nurses of the labor and delivery department Audrie and her colleague, who helped her during my labor (unfortunately, I do not remember her name). They were so professional, so kind, so attentive and so supportive. It was such a good experience I will remember all my life!Thank you very much!!!

Wei Xin Yuan

The worst hospital service I ever had. I will never come back anymore.

Sophie Li

Very poor. I was waiting for 7 hrs and at the end, no test was done for me only prescription. No lab. Never to return here again. Please be aware. I don't know why I wasn't asked to do the scanning or lab after complaining mainly with my headache.

Joseph Pena

this place use to be great. I was here with my son the service is horrible if i could give no stars i would. Never coming back here ever. the nurse the staff not helpful what so ever.

Ben Woo

No communacation left me waiting to make an appointment for a test no one is on same page disorganized unfriendly staff in cardiology clinic no companion for the patients there very unproffesinal staff in cardiology clinic made us very uncomfortable

Sonia Sharma

Needed to use the ER as I was in terrible pain. Amazing experience! I have been in ER's with other family members, and I dreaded to go through the same hellish wait. What a surprise! This place is fabulous! From the initial check-in until I was finally discharged, the staff were absolute angels- attentive, caring, and professional. The place was clean and comfortable. I was being taken care of within 15 minutes of my arrival. If anyone needs to choose a hospital in Queens, this is the one that I would recommend.

Do husbands get a choice? So three days ago, my wife and I checked into the hospital. She was going into labor. Lets skip to the part where she is fully dilated. Its 6:10 am, nurses are about to turnover at 7. We have one nurse in the room, and one delivery doctor. My wife is due that moment, the doctor tells her to push. Then as an afterthought she pulls out the foot rests and told my wife to put her feet up. Then told her to move, then after realizing my wife was too tall for the standard foot rests, she then tries to set up the extended foot rests for taller people- all the while my wife is going through the motions and urges of pushing and telling her to push without foot supports. Oh guess what, the extended foot rests, one of them was jammed/broken. So my wife is told to push all the while this doctor wastes time trying to set things up last minute. For alternative support, we then get the nurse to hold her left leg, I ended up holding the right leg. Was I given a choice? Nope, they were understaffed, why? Because all the other nurses wanted to go home instead of sticking around to assist in a last minute birth before the shift change. ( I could be wrong about the reason but hell this was a mess from my point of view.) This doctor left the room for several contraction/pushes, dont know where the hell she went. The nurse kept going to the baby monitor, she had to be told several times during pushes to go back to the left leg, all because their stupid birthing bed was broken. The nurse's job I suppose was to monitor the baby, but hello? The baby will be in distress if we cant even get it out, no? SO FREAKING GET TO THE BED, HOLD MY WIFE'S LEG AND TURN TO WATCH the screen if need be. Two baby doctors appeared later on and they just stood there watching. I'm standing there still holding my wife's leg thinking uh.. So how about one of you come over here and help. No their job is only the baby apparently. But one of them actually comes over to my wife and gives her breathing advice and tips that actually help my wife through the pushes. The nurse? useless, the doctor assigned? useless. Other nurses come in the room but never stayed to assist. I held my wife's leg the whole damn time. One nurse brought and dripped mineral oil into the vagina and left. Towards the final pushes the nurse goes back to the baby monitor and my wife loses for a minute and snapped "uh could somebody hold my leg?" and I in turn said, "Yeah, can you hold her leg? I dont even know why the hell I am holding the other leg this is just ridiculous." n the useless doctor kept going "breathe 1 2 333333333333333333333333333333" from the very first push towards the end. Yeah thats really helping doc. It was unreal. I am shocked at how incompetent these nurses and doctors are. I never got asked if I could assist, if I wanted to assist, I have no qualms about assisting my wife in her time of need for my baby girl. But what drives me insane is the fact how they seemed so disoriented and disorderly that my wife had to suffer longer than necessary. Oh and the bags they set up to catch the fluids when my baby came out, good thing I jumped out of the way cause it splashed right where my foot was. Pure mess. Post care nurses- 2 days out of 3, were great to my wife and baby except this one nurse on the second day who kept saying she'd do this and do that but disappeared for 30 minutes and then come back empty handed only to walk back out to retrieve what she said she'd bring. Whatever!! But this review is reflective of the incompetence during birth. I am simply outraged thinking back at how it all played out. Where was my choice? Where were your nurses? When we get the bill, do I get a deduction for assisting your nurse? your doctor? Don't get me wrong I would do it all over again for my wife and child, I just want to know where the hell my choice was.

The hospital staff is all top notch and friendly which makes the hospital experience more bearable

Julian Tlaczani

Been here for 5 hours now. Still waiting...

swria atmar

you have to wait more than 5 hours and they don't give you medicine, they just give you motrin or tylenol, you're going to get worse than you were

Mary Manos

My husband has a serious pain in his stomage and He spend 4 hours and nobody help him. This ERS is slow , cold and bad !! I really don’t come back

New York -Presbyterian in queens is a excellent hospital. New York -Presbyterian has many hospitals thru out the state of New York. They all operate very well and are ranked #1 in the state of New York. God bless the people that trains the employees, the employees at New York Presbyterian Hospital are so professional, and very very helpful. I will soon donate funds to this amazing Hospital.

Irene Villodas

Always impressed with this hospital. Especially the Social worker. She was really knowledable and able to advice us professional. The piano I’m lobby really relaxing and gives and nice feeling when coming and leaving. Sometimes the volunteer plays

kayyy G

I am a previous employee of nyp and was very upset to find out on a emergency room visit with my brother that nyp queens picks and choose who is important and who is not. What happen to equality? We are here for over 3 hours and nothing had happened he was registered. When I asked the nurse at the desk why another patient that just walked in was taken in he said he is at a higher triage level because he is older. We are all in the emergency for a reason it’s an EMERGENCY. He has a painfully inflammation, swelling and readiness on the lower abnormal right under a previous surgery so why is he not important. Is his life not as valuable as someone else’s. I am disappointed in the way care is delineated. Amazing things are not happening here I observed a young child throwing up constantly and was waiting more than 3 hours. The staff are walking around with no urgency they are standing and talking. One girl stood up and spoke to a security guard for over 1/2 went back to work and an hour later left so she was definitely not on her break. Terrible!!!! My previous experiences were good this one horrible!! The most disgusting is choosing who’s life matters.

Wilfry Cerda

Wait time is unreal.. stayed the whole night waiting.. staff is friendly.

Usman Mirza

Heaven on Earth! I recommend that hospital yo everyone! Friendly staff. They treated you like kings or queens! Good and respectful people.Over 100% customer satisfaction...

Ping Wang

Went to the infusion center as a first time patient. They couldn't find my referral, then waited for a case manager to review my insurance (already done by MD). After that they had a clerk enter me into the system and check to see IF the pharmacy had the meds. Though having few patients it took 2 1/2 hours. If I had not strongly advocated for myself it could have taken 5 hours. 30 minutes before leaving someone noted that the women's room in the basement by the infusion center and employee cafeteria was flooded. When I checked on the way out it was still flooded, no sign or evidence of anyone taking action. WOW.

Dennis Gale

Me and my family got into a crash, as a teenager, I was really traumatized and they helped me calm down, and they helped my mom and gave us antibiotics and gave me techniques for me to calm down and I felt safe, they just had to reassure me that there would only be vital checks, not blood taking because it wasn’t that bad. I don’t know their names but I’m glad they helped me out

Albina Babaev

Best hospital ever, when i was at NYC 3 years ago i got bronchitis and had to go this hospital 2 days in a row and stayed for 3 days i got the best service by the doctors/nurses when ever i am sick in nyc i'll go here

Samantha Lee

Waiting in the hallway, people are moving around. Don’t seems so busy with patient. However, most people are left in the hallway. I wish emergency room works like it’s an emergency and taken care of before they get into more sickness. I wish we didn’t have to come today here. It’s definitely not a place to be. Only unfortunate moments ..

ruby74123

Best hospital ever nice service nice experience doctors

mushui chen

Every time I'm not well I know I'm going to be taken care by honest doctors who sincerely care for their patients. I'm usually seen in less than 10 minutes and am out of the hospital in only a few hours at most with all my labs accurately checked and feeling much better and stable. The nurse Willie is such a kind and compassionate one she is always so sweet.

Reshma Patwekar

I gave birth to my son here in 2010, then the hospital had wonderful employees. I went there while I was having contractions for another pregnancy 2018 that didn’t go so well they kept me waiting for about 3 hours without seeing anyone. After my water broke that’s when they all started rushing. I whined up having a miscarriage thanks to there neglect. I’ll never visit here again

Melody Ruiz

I went their hospital with my wife she is pregnant but they don’t accepted metro plus . I don’t know why???

Vincent Calenda

From the ER staff to the OR on the 3rd floor to the day to day Nurses, all staff has been beyond amazing and caring. The surgeons and doctors I’ve met have been so thorough and helpful. They truly have been making my experience nice and easy. I was told I need to stay here another week and I can’t say that I mind. It’s been comfortable and clean, the nutrition options are fairly broad and just overall, I’m happy.

Dennis Prince

Don't come to the ER here you will be waiting for hours to be seen by a doctor and the waiting room is packed. While I was waiting there security was just yelling at everyone and then made fun of patients when they left. Made me very uncomfortable and that is extremely unprofessional. I had no other option but to come here for help but never again. I just felt like I was bothering everyone i asked for help, and was constantly yelled at. The front desk people especially. Extremely rude and uncompassionate. They don't care about you.

R W

The ER was swamped that Friday night, despite which my mother was tended to quickly, courteously, and professionally by Dr. Yoon, an excellent doctor. The nurses in W321 were also excellent, particularly considering my Mom is quite difficult (thanks Nurse Chi Chi, too bad you're married!). We're very grateful to this wonderful hospital.....no need to go to Manhattan for a big name.

Ashley Toledo

My son fell on his face on some steps before he went into school ems took us to this hospital ER. The staff was fantastic and went by fast. Greatly appreciated.

Soma Ram

Will never come again to this hospital. The worst hospital ever. My three year old son was here for an emergency care and waited almost 2 hours with fever of 103f. After the doctor examined him and no treatment other than telling me to give as much water as possible to my son. However, they were NOT ALLOWING me to give any water to my son while we where waiting (over 210 MINUTES!!!). No other treatments were taken and we waited for the discharge order for over 90 MINUTES and I asked someone about the order and they told me they FORGOT!!!. They should have their license revoked. Unbelievable!

s

Friendly staff ,great service and clean

Mirna Espinoza

Amazing things do not happen here. The service is horrible. My relative was in 5 west building post surgery and the nursing staff to the food service was not good at all. There is no introduction folder to let you know anything, esp how to order food. I had to order food for my relative because she could not use the phone and the nursing staff is no help. I called to order breakfast lunch and dinner for her from my job everyday while in the hospital. The food delivery was pushed behind the curtain so she never even knew it was there. All the nursing staff on 5 west just chatted by the nurses station until one of them decides to acknowledge you. They left the patient in the bathroom and did not even to come back and help. And they tell you to ring the bell, that’s useless. Upon discharge, no one contacted me about time or date for discharge, so therefore they spoke to help while the patient was sleeping and left the discharge instructions on the chair. Oh yea and then on top of that, they called home to tell us that some of the discharge paperwork was not given and if we can come back to collect it. What kind of hospital is this? I reported to DOH and took names. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Mike

I came there and had my lung punctured and collapsed collapsed during a lung biopsy after my blood pressure was too low and a 30 gauge needle was forced into my back with no sedation whatsoever. I informed the PA to stop my procedure after he informed me i couldn't get sedation, and I couldn't tolerate the pain. He continued anyway which was not legal because my vital signs were unstable. AND he punctured my lung and collapsed it and I also had to have a chest tube surgically inserted with no sedation. The operator of the Ct machine and the one operating the biopsy needle and another Pa in the room were all alone with no MD supervision as the law states. I wont name them. But I will name Dr John De rosa who falsified a medical report to say he was there and i got full sedation and no events occurred and patient tolerated procedure well. He said it was finished as 9:25.I have all my records. Even the pa checking the medication out of the pharmacy at 930 and the Iv being hooked up at 1013and all the medication being cancelled at that time. It is on computer the Iv drip. Wheres John DeRosa hand wrote a false report. To coverup my very low 85 blood pressure by law you cannot do invasive surgery and innterventive radiology falls under that law with unstable vital signs. You must do 2 time outs before starting. So when i go to the medical board with this and i have all of your names and every false record you produced, and every time a report was made to patient services like being made to go 3days with no pain control because a sick dr kept canceling my oncologist orders and because i complained about it she put i had a personality disorder after i didnt want this dr near me. She kept coming into my room even though my right to have who I wish and not wish to treat me were ignored. I came for a 4 hour appointment and these inexperienced unsupervised morons almost killed me and I ended up there for 3 weeks. I got treated like i was in the wrong because I was unhappy for being there. I read disgusting things your nurses wrote about me that weren't even true. If I was upset or in pain because of what was done to me should I be happy about it.??? You have a lawless hospital and you do nothing about it.

Agustin Iglesias

Great Staff! Great Service! Very Educative, We learned alot me and the wife!

anonymous c

Never checked on my mother's mental condition after I told one of the doctors to. She was passed around from doctor to doctor and released from the hospital before providing any medical information to me. When I was called, they released a bunch of information about another patient before verifying who I am or who I am calling about. Completely disregarded my concerns even though I have spent years with my mother and they had a few days with her.

Alyssa Ortiz

The care here is subpar! My elderly grandmother was admitted here and under their care she was allowed to fall out of bed and even with the fall-risk label they took too long to respond to nurse calls. I wouldn’t feel safe having my loved ones at this hospital in the future.

Kyle T

I had a healthy Babygirl here 4 years ago. Also, several friends of mine had their children here too. Shout to the nurses here, they took great care of me and baby. The nurses here are the best. Dr Abel Bey did an amazing job too. My only issue is that my husband wasn’t allowed to stay overnight and it’s a busy hospital so I wouldn’t come back for baby number 2.

Orlando Francis

Best service ever!

Diane

This is a great hospital wonderful staff quick and stress free. Doc Mitchell from the pediatric department was very kind and patient with my daughter he’s an amazing doctor, my daughter wasn’t scared at all he did everything himself took all her vitals despite the fact it was so packed and full due to Covid he did it all himself without any hesitations. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Neela Singh

Awful, takes forever to get attended in the emergency room.

Lewis Ng

This is a review specifically on the outrageous experience my family and I went through in the EMERGENCY ROOM. My mother had to wait 11 HOURS in PAIN in the WAITING ROOM. 11 HOURS. I understand that with covid, hospitals are busy but 11 hours and the STAFF'S RESPONSE WAS UNACCEPTABLE. After she had been waiting for 6 hours, My brother and I asked the front desk EVERY HOUR for some sort of update because we were deciding if we should take her to another hospital. Every hour the staff gave us false promises and hope. They told us only 10 people were ahead of her at the 6th hour, and then 4 people were ahead of her at the 9th hour. But the lies starting kicking in when they would promise to call us a nurse because my mother's situation was getting worse and worse. They never got us a nurse after telling us they were calling for one TWICE. THIS IS COMPLETE NEGLECT. Finally after calling other hospitals and telling them our situation, they advised us to speak with a supervisor. The man at the desk gave us a hard time with this request. Saying how they're busy, we have to just keep waiting, and "every hospital is different." Finally he said he was getting the supervisor (he looked and sounded annoyed at this request), an hour passes by and no supervisor came to speak with me. Another lie and false promise. After the 10th hour, we talk to a nurse at the front AGAIN, asking for some answers. WE just wanted to know if we should take our mom to another hospital (since 6 hours ago). The nurse finally brings out the head of RN....... the head of RN assured us our mother was next.... finally. But what he said during the conversation did not sit well with me. They told me that "oh today is actually a slow day", implying they're usually busier, therefore my mother isn't waiting as long as she would on "busy" days. The lack of empathy was something else. She finally went in at the 11th hour. It turned out her condition was serious and required immediate surgery! I am appalled by this experience. I am grateful for health care workers and the work they've been putting in during this pandemic. But the lack of decency and empathy from the staff last night was disrespectful. I HATE being the person constantly asking for updates and answers, but the staff really pushed me to be THAT person. People come to the emergency room as a last resort. The fact that an EMERGENCY ROOM made several patients in pain wait for 11 + hours is... unheard of. And on top of that, she needed surgery!

I brought my friend S.Izmailov to this freaking hospital for TIA evaluation and infected finger 8/ 28/ 21 around 9 pm .ER Triage RN was so f...g cold ,distant and arrogant. Patient has been seen by Indian MD after 3 hours of waiting .Than he promised to come back and disappeared for an hour more .Patient lost his patience and epolped from there with pain, infected finger and TIA symptoms. We spent 4 hours for nothing .I used to work in ED many years in many hospitals in NY as RN but have never seen so much indifference unprofessionalism and neglegence.I think the patient could get much better service even in the farthest village in Africa Please read my review on your ED am huddle .Shame on you!

Jasper Zheng Yu

I had my delivery appointment there last week, Nurses have been very nice and patient with me the entire time after delivery and took care me and the baby overnight , very thanksful!

allen bluestein

DO NOT GO if you have an actual emergency. I came in with severe abdominal pains. I’ve thrown up twice here and have been here over 2 hours and I’m not a priority. Don’t waist your time here. Nursing was rude and had an “oh well” attitude.

Shahbaz Khan

really great service had my baby here a week ago an everything was to exception

virginia cruz

Waiting in ED with, headaches, stiff painful neck, earache and fever. One hour plus not triaged. Waiting area is dirty. Will make the trip to Cornell next time.!.

Je Lo

Great hospital. Residents work hard and attendings teach well.

Cindy Lee

It’s hard to find the right words to describe the amazing and beautiful experience I had in NY presbyterian Queens. I am a first time mom who delivered in this hospital, my baby girl had to be in the NICU for almost a week. It was the scariest experience in my life but the nurses and physicians assistants were so kind and compassionate. I knew my baby girl was in the best care. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Maternity and NICU team. This hospital is the best and I was very blessed to have delivered my precious baby there.

Lori Barth

worst experience, the secure is very rude the nurse also does not care about your pain and wait, a few years ago I was better, now everyone is rude less human than before.

Maria Morales

69 west main st Bayshore Bad things go on here !

Olga Abrams - ustinova

Wonderful experience with Labor and delivery at the NY Presbyterian Queens. I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses. The nurse Sonia was terrific. Dr. Na is great doctor. From Liza Akter

Lalita Melecio

It's one of the best hospital. I had a Pneumothorax/Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Lee and his assistant Sam were very professional. The whole process very smooth and talked me through the entire process. Nurse Joanne, Debbie, Grace and Marychu were amazing and very kind. I would definitely recommend going to the Weil Cornell! Thank you to all of you!

Md. Nahid

My Dad was in the hospital for 14 days, so I had lots of time to evaluate the people, processes anc technology in use by the staff.. He was treated very well by all the staff, both during the day and ant night and on weekends. he should make a full recovery. The only complaint I have is that the phone "system", and I used the word loosely, is terrible. If anyone ever evaluated the time the staff wastes trying to reach other departments to get status, transfer calls or respond to outside inquiries for help, I am sure they would find evidence of significant waste of human capital. Get with it NY Presbyterian Queens,, the telephony systems of the 21st century await you.

Ho Jun Kim

Doctors and nurses are so patient and caring , very professional and very good bed side manners

Pat Wong

Horrible and worst hospital they didn't allowed me in for no reason and I was feeling out of breath and auxigen since I have asthma and they didnt care they didn't assist me they said to go somewhere else and they saw me that I almost was going to faint.

Amira Alseadi

Very unprofessional nurses and doctors. Not all of the but most of them. They'll have you waiting in the E.R for hours for one shot. The people at the front desk aren't really no help with information. Lazy and very rude.

Mahfuz Chowdhury

They took great care of my Mom. Much love to the CVRU on the 2nd floor.

Alicja T.

Yesterday night I go Emergency for my Brother he is very sick When I reach after one hour Nurse assessment after that patient kept in waiting room more 1:30 hour after that Nurse move the patient to the ECG and ETT Chair because no bed available for emergency patient for another 2:30 hr Dr assessment but unfortunately Dr not able to come so I talk to Supervisor and ask how long need to come Dr she said they face high volume of emergency patient right now so she can’t able to say exact time when Dr able to see the my patient Where as my patience feel very sick so I decided to move the patient another hospital My question is how you treat the emergency patient after 4 hour supervisor say she don’t know when Dr able to come How frustrating it was for patient It’s absolutely ridiculous emergency of this hospital Where hospital charge from patient insurance

Dee Travelz

I don't understand the bad reviews written about this hospital. The emergency room medical staff and then the admitting medical staff were fantastic as I recovered from a TIA stroke. Their professionalism and expertise made my stay there quiet, restful and educational. Yes, the nurses had to complete their hourly checks and vital tests, but for the most part, they answered every call I made when I needed assistance from my bedside and I received instruction from the physical therapy departments and nutritionist before my departure. The doctors on call were reachable and even the emergency doctor came to my room to check on me. My stay was not a long enduring wait to be checked out. It was informative and the staff were incredibly patient and courteous. If I had to be admitted to any hospital in Queens, it will most definitely be New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens!

Kareem Wallace

This is the best experience anyone can ever receive. My fiancée gave birth on Mothers Day 2017, and the wonderful nurses and staff are excellent! Dr. Fong was the delivering doctor along with a team due to complications, but his expertise and guidance throughout the process was beyond stellar. Lorna is a wonderful nurse in delivery who gave my fiancée wonderful support; Anzhella and Graciela at the mother and baby unit were excellent consultants helping my fiancée with nursing and care. Nurse Patricia was so wonderful giving my fiancee the best attention and care for my son. I HIGHLY recommend this Hospital for labor and mother care, and I applaud NY Presbyterian for the outstanding service they provided!

sheri roshdi

Great Service!! They are very comitted to the service, they attended my wife in a very good manner and in record time!! Muy recomendado, buen servicio y te atienden rápido!!

David Chou

This is a very bad hospital. Not efficient and make there forever like they get paid by hours. If you have a urgent care , then go to urgent clinic or else you are going to stay this hospital until your sickness would get worse. This is a bad hospital. Not recommended for Chinese and Korean.

Liana Colbourn

Very bad hospital. I delivered here on 2019. The first room they took me for monitoring was a good one but after my delivery they took me in a room where I have to share the ward with another patient. Like seriously?? No privacy?? I stayed there for two days. The nurses was so rude omg ???? one of the nurse keep shouting on me. If that’s your attitude why did u even choose nursing as your profession? I was so displeased with their behavior. Very bad service. Don’t go.

Daryn Hernandez

yea if you’re coming to this hospital make sure you have a lawyer also if you do a background check on some of the positive reviews you will see that they’re from staff who work here at presbyterian hospital probably paid by the administration to post those fake reviews many of NYs nursing facilities also do the same in order to hide things like what “Nebula Hospital” was closed down for if anyone wants to know the truth of why that hospital was closed down and why NY has nothing online about it just ask i know everything about why it was raided with a swat team under covert operations and shut down since was there just few days before the raid especially if you get Dr Jain a primary doctor on Unit 5 North he used to be a good doctor but recently has changed to falsifying records and even though the hospital was warned that he was falsifying information they did nothing to stop it Dr Jain has actually written something in my records that is not possible for him to have diagnosed me with for multiple reasons to which as soon as have a lawyer will have the evidence that i guarantee gives me an open shut case of malpractice and actually proves that Dr Jain is trying to hurt me using my medical conditions and that the Administration of the hospital not only knows they’re supporting him

For the love of God, don't go to this hospital. Bringing my mom here after a heart attack was the worst decision of my life. Instead of performing life saving surgery on her, they let her languish in bed on medications for about a month until they found (a very survivable type of) cancer in her body. My mother had two 100% blocked arteries, and one that was 75% blocked, as well as a leaky mitral valve and nobody wanted to help her, citing a bureaucratic mess. Unfortunately, this caused the team of cardiologists and the oncologists to fight and even MISDIAGNOSE her cancer. She was told she had lung cancer, and it turned out that she had a very survivable neuroendocrine tumor. Neither team wanted to operate on her, citing the other team's being "combative" as the reason. This was another almost 2 months of languishing in the hospital until her Primary Care Physician even told her, "You have to get out of this place. They are not helping you." Result? My mom stayed in a hospital getting absolutely zero help, and being put on a ventilator 6 times. When we finally transferred her to Mount Sinai, where she got excellent care, it was too late. She got pneumonia and passed away this Monday at 6:21 pm after a long, suffering road that could have been completely avoided. I miss my mother more than life itself. At 56 years old, nobody should have to die if your medical staff is competent enough to take care of you. Rest in peace mom; at least you are not suffering anymore. My only solace is that she can no longer feel pain. I hope one day we meet again, my sweet best friend.

Albino Figueredo

Very very good morning at night

I had to take my wife here yesterday because of some contractions she was having. We were scared of whatever was happening because she is only in second trimester. The staff and the doctors were nice and comforting. They reassured everything was ok with her and the baby. We are thankful that we were being looked after.

Katia Villasagua

THE WORST EMERGENCY ROOM IN NYC. ALL INCOMPETENCE AND NEGLECT. MY MOTHER NEARLY DIED AFTER WAITING AN HOUR JUST TO SEE THE NURSE. WE HAD TO LEAVE AND GO TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL. UNBELIEVABLE, YOU WILL DIE IF YOU COME HERE AND NEED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.

I had came into the ER 4 times complaining of the same pains. On the 4th day coming in I was admitted in the Peds ER as an adult at around 11am. I was waiting on a bed to open up on the adult side so that I could speak to a Gastro doctor. Which, I Dont know why that was necessary. But while in peds, The whole day i was not being checked on. I had to keep asking for everything. I only seen my doctor at 2pm & not again until 2am the next morning. During the duration of the time, I was getting nonstop meds and no food. There was a PA on duty overnight that was absolutely rude. Writing this while still in here it's the next day, I am still in Peds. Its two in the afternoon and they keep saying soon. Most incompetent hospital. DO NOT COME HERE

Richard Sales

Great Social work department

Judy Dee

THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER !!!! STAFFS ARE LITERALLY SO DISRESPECTFUL ESPECIALLY THAT KAREN IN THE FRONT ENTRANCE WEARING BLUE & HAS BLONDE HAIR. SCREAMING AT A OLD LADY SAYING SHE CANT VISIT WHEN THE VISITING TIME WASN’T EVEN UP. DISRESPECTING VISITORS & TALKING ABOUT OTHER STAFFS WHILE WORKING IS UNPROFESSIONAL !

J L

My Sister was admitted to NYPRESBY Emergency Dept Main St. Queens, NY in the AM. I live approximately 2500 miles away from New York and I have called 5 times to either speak with my sister, a member of the care team or the Administrator on Duty to get an update on my sisters health and status of whether she is awaiting a bed or on observation. I was transferred to a nursing station and the person who answered the phone was eating. I introduced myself and asked her name. She kept eating with the line open and didn’t say another word. I kept asking who I was speaking with and all I heard was a fork scraping a plate and chewing. Again I call and ask to be connected to a team member taking care of my sister again the call is transferred to the ED and the clerk sent the calls twice to the wrong number. I asked for the AOD on duty she stated they were changing shifts and couldn’t help me. As of this writing I have not spoke to anyone yet after trying for almost 2hrs and everyone protects their names by not introducing themselves as though their name is the key to kingdom when in actuality it is a key to incompetence and frustration.

Benjamin Sanchez

i gave birth 2 times in this hospital. The nurse are super nice, friendly and so passion. recomended hospital

mazharul islam

Could not wait there any longer.. this was absolutely the worst hospital I've ever been to.. an elder gentleman was sitting next to me and said his wife had been there since 8pm the night before and they hadn't put her in a bed or even fed her.. when I went to use the restroom the door was open down the hall and all I could see was people on gurneys lined down the hall.... This was when I realized that my food poisoning was gonna have to be self diagnosed. I will never be back there. Thank God I'm only here for a short time.

jia-lian Lin

My wife just deliver our baby few days ago here .Doctor Andrea Olanescu, MD OGBYN, she is the best!!! She loves what she is doing , she takes care of every single thing and makes you strong even with every single word . For sure we gonna choose her again and again in the future !!! To have a doctor like her you can consider yourself blessed.and also the hospital is very lucky to have her as a doctor !! Also the nurses Vania from maternity , Angela , Lorna from labor and delivery ,they are very very kind . The lactation lady Eugenie also, the man who did epidural too , And most of the nurses (exept few of them ) was really really nice and very helpful and they took care of us with patient !!! I love this hospital because of these people too!

We went to NYHQ ER a little after midnight today, 12/26/2015. My wife was diagnosed with gastritis the day before the visit to NYHQ ER and suddenly started suffering a severe pain in the back along with continuous abdominal pain. She decided to take some tylenol and go to bed hoping the painkiller could help her to fall asleep. She went to the bathroom to urinate before bed and noticed a lot of blood on her underwear and continuous ongoing vaginal bleeding and that was why we decided to go to your ER. There were patients waiting in the lounge as well as patients arriving after us. We understand some patients could be in more urgent conditions, but for a little less than 2 hours, she was pushed to the back of the queue until she became the last one in the waiting lounge eventually falling asleep and it was the security lady who called a nurse and sent us in finally. It does not end here. For like 15 minutes we had noone even asking her name nor how she was feeling. I cannot tell by uniforms/scrubs who were nurses who were not but there were a lot of staffs eating, talking, laughing but not even turning and looking at my wife once. She had reached the limit, started crying and asked me if we could just leave. She left on her own feet and there were noone guiding us to the exit even though after advising us it might not be a good idea to leave if she is bleeding. What the hell. If we knew if we had to wait that long, probably for 2~3 more hours I presume, we would have just waited in our warm bedroom, take some rest and visited the same doctor we went to see the day before in the morning. Now we are home. She is still bleeding and if anything happens to her, they will have to pay dearly. A friend of mine recommended NYHQ and I cannot understand why she did and we will not be visiting them ever again. NYHQ! Please take a little more care of your future patients so there will be no more patients left out in the cold lounge suffering pain and falling asleep waiting and shivering.

Clifton Telemacque

Worst hospital ever.

Zubub Khan

Wanted to send my mother the same day they put screws in her ankle. Send her home without without crutches, without walker, without checking if there’s was someone home. Inhumane treatment. Do not leave your loved ones by themselves here. They are short staffed, and they are working hard, but that’s no excuse for the social worker not to do their job. My mother asked the nurse to help her get dressed and she instead threw the clothes in the bed almost on top of her operated foot and walked away.

carrie millhouse

Worst ER. Making patients wait in ER with no chairs for family. Came to ER 11pm 11/14/17 and next day was told 5:30am mom would be admitted. 16 hours later no news.

adnan mukhtyar

Horrible emergency room they don’t treat the patient nicely they Nurses are so rude I don’t care Jessica she was so horrible so I’m going to complain to department of health so the be on top of does Nurses

ionut beldie

refused to give paper work on my hospital stay and getting the run around trying to collect them

Lee Newman

They killed my mother.

Michael Hudak

Great care while inside hospital but trying to get names of doctors that were on your case is close to impossible. Names listed on discharge papers could not be found by hospital operators so can't reach them. No list given of who were monitoring your case. Some can be residents or physicians' assistants so are not listed in hosptal directory. Very frustrating!

Dominique Christmas

My bother was there today for 5 hours, with chest and back pain and nobody saw him, he told the nurse he was leaving because nobody was coming to check him and the nurse told okay you you can leave, they didn't care that he was on pain.

John Stein

In the emergency room waiting for more than three hours not see a doctor

samantha maass

i think it,s one if the best hospital i ever want to in new york state...

Gube Sanchez

Good service doctors are friendly

H K.

Horrible experience with this hospital, My father went in for what seemed like a pretty standard kidney stone removal and left with complications. He had complaints of bleeding and pain, the hospital brushed it off as normal and sent him home four separate times even though he still had complaints of bleeding and horrible pain. We took him to another hospital that found the issue and had to let NY Presbyterian know, after being sent back and forth a bunch of times now that NY Presbyterian is aware that they messed up, thanks to North shore LIJ for actually taking the time to find out what the issue was. If you care for your loved ones don't bring them here.

kenny rothstein

Very good and responsible hospital, take care of every single patient

Angelica Morelos

Horrible I’ve been waiting 5 hours and nothing. Don’t come here if you cherish your life.

Abrar Malik

Been in emergency room 8 hrs....NOTHING should take that long!

Steve Nahema

There should always be someone for us to talk to on the phone.too much animation

Road runnner

As I'm suffering in the waiting room for the past 8 hours I thought I'd make this review to help someone thinking of coming to this hospital. Worst hospital I have ever stepped foot in. Will never come back. Don't know how they are still running. The workers here are beyond rude and lie saying your next to be seen when people that walked in after.you get admitted before you. I am extremely unsatisfied and upset . Stay away, unless you enjoy the suffering.

Jerome

My father-in-law has been in this hospital for a month now since he was originally sent to the ER then being transferred to the 4th floor of the West Wing Building after a surgery; the staffs are nice and patient, my mother-in-law was extremely touched and satisfied by a Nursing Attendant named Barbara Burke, she offered the best service she could ever given to the patient and relatives, she is warmhearted, patient, caring, loving and enthusiastic; she is the best!! As a patient's relative, I hope each staff could act as good as her! Thank you for your excellent work!! Barbara! and God bless you!

desiree jagnanan

The staff was very pleasant, they took time and great care of me my whole stay. Everyone on the second floor was wonderful.Thank you so much.

Nazibul Bashar

Worst service ever after waiting 7hrs in ER they misdiagnosed my son the day of my visit and said keep on giving him Fever medication and inhaler and guess what after 2days they called and said he has Pneumonia

Alexander Koatyan

They are okay for what it is. If people are unsatisfied, they probably had an unusually bad experience. They are pretty decent here

Steve Cohen

Doctors and nurses and overall nice to me, but they were obviously overwhelmed by way too many patients. I had to lay in a crowded emergency room for hours in order to be moved to a room, while a man vomiting and groaning in pain next to me, is pretty horrifying experience. The precautions to prevent coronavirus cross infection among patients seem poor. The bathroom getting dirty really quick without proper cleaning. I'd pray not catching any airborne virus there.

Katherynne Sosa

You know what you don’t see everyday is when you go to a emergency room and you hear the dentist saying your name and basically telling another doctor that your not going to see me because you have other better things to do. Asking the other doctor if he will see me because he doesn’t want to waste his time. So i went to a nurse and asked what was going on and why he had said that. So he said very loudly that he is going to see another patient that has been there for 2 hours which is understandable. The funny part was that the other doctor was seeing that patient , then the Chinese doctor which was the one that said very loudly had been going in and out of the waiting room to go see another patient that was not in his speciality (broken wrist) when your a dentist . This guy would literally be running out giving me dirty looks (SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE) when all you want to do is be treated. I was actually with my husband which was the one in pain. A tooth of his actually broke in half and on top of that, it’s in the same place where there’s a screw holding his jaw together. So yeah it is a serious matter. I even told that to the nurse and she had said there was another emergency that he had to take care of ; meanwhile the two doctors that didn’t want to see him , one was texting in the back and the other one was acting like he a general doctor. The crazy part is that when we came to the emergency room IT WAS EMPTY. So for you to say that there was another patient waiting for 2 hours says something. The fact is that you didn’t even acknowledge us AT ALL. You really just went to another doctor and told him you didn’t want to see him you really just passed him on to another doctor that was just another one that didn’t care. FACT IS THAT IF YOUR NOT PREGNANT OR DYING THEY REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU !

Brigette Ortiz

I had high blood pressure and the ambulance sent me to the emergency room of this hospital in Flushing, Queens. I went Saturday mid day and they were able to do a cardio cath to me Monday morning. The time was not confirmed to me until Monday around 7am, the excuse was that we have emergency. After ekg and cardio cath came back normal there were no other examination to find out what was the reason of the high blood pressure. My wife had to call the doctor on Tuesday evening and ask why no other examination have been done! Then the doctor did other tests and asked for a catscan. They were again not able to confirm the time of the catscan appointment as they had emergencies. I was an emergency but it looks, I was good to stay there for them to charge my insurance. MD doctor the day that I was discharge was very rude and trying to keep me there WITHOUT giving me a reason why my blood pressure was high. They kept me for 4 nights and no reason was given to me what happened and I ended in the hospital.. I wish no one have to go to this hospital!

Rachel Reeves

If I could give negative stars for service I would. The ONLY thing great about this hospital is the quality of their nursing staff. The rent a docs they have in the ER spend most of their time wandering around aimlessly from patient to patient and literally do nothing except say “ I will be back” If you think that you will get the kind of quality service you expect from NYP Manhattan, think again. You won’t be treated as a human being. You will be left in the hallway for literally hours. You will ask someone for information and they won’t be able to provide an answer. Again the nurses and techs here are WONDERFUL and make it possible to tolerate the endless hours of mindless waiting for someone to read a CT or call a surgical consult. The rent a docs don’t even bother to EXAM YOU but I’m sure they’re billing Medicaid and Medicare for thousands of dollars in procedures. It is now going on nine hours and so far the nurses and techs are trying to get answers. The docs? Nowhere to be found. Perhaps they’re just dragging the time past midnight in order to bill for two days of care. I am marching straight into my state Assemblyman’s office in the morning- they’re doing hearings on the state of hospital care. They need to know just how hospitals, especially this one, interprets that term.

Brad Scott Scott

This hospital is gteatbits nothing like Jamaica hospital if you are sick they treat you right away and there staff are so helpful

Franklin Jerez

Staff good, Doctors Sucks 6 Hours wait..

Jaewook Shin

I have been going to NYHosp for years and as the time passes the service decreases. The doctors in the ER just don't care (with the exception of two ER doctors- Wish I had them today). They write you a prescription and send you home. How about you run some test, take an x-ray, a sonogram or something? This is the age of the internet, don't google what I already did and tell me what you think is wrong. I thought you became a doctor for reason! Where is your compassion? The test don't cost you anything but time! Where is that natural born sense to want to help solve the problem? My daughter has now had stomach pains for 5-6 months and you give her tylenol, motrin and a referral to see a GI doctor within 48 hours... because "there are guidelines & rules to admitting a patient"; because "a doctor has to decide if he wants to take care of you"; because "you don't see a reason to run any further test" despite her blood test results. Next time, I will drive out to LIJ, or better yet, Flushing Hospital!

Wan San Wong

7 hrs to be seen in the emergency get it together amazing things are not happening here

Omar S

Poor customer service! I’ve been sitting in the ER for the past 4hrs with my daughter for a sprained wrist!

Bella Yakubova

I can't go with everyone's own opinion and yet they are entitled to give their own. I can only go with my own contact plus experience and that was a very positive one as well. My wife had total knee replacement surgery done here and it was a success. Her Doctor, the staff and security was always a pleasant experience whenever I had contact with them. Sometimes I just can't understand people, put yourself in their shoes, walk and do their stressful job during this pandemic and see how you come out in the end. I'm sure if you talk to someone with respect, you will receive that in return. If someone gives you attitude, then you let them know your not there to make matters worst. Let them know you treat people with respect because it's what you want in return and again I believe you will receive an apology and get respect in return.

Eb Murray

If you don't have to go there don't. They're the worst. My father went there and was there all day. Actually were still here and keep waiting. Every time I get up to ask they tell me the same thing. Three more ppl ahead of you. It's now 5:39 and he's been here since 9am. With low blood pressure. Dizzy. Vomiting etc. not a good hospital. Stay away. They will tell you they are busy every time you ask. You need to be dying for them to see you right away. This hospital was never like this before.

Francisco Resinos

They have great service and the staff is very friendly. Dr. Suzzette Robinson is the best.

Elianna Peralta

Excellent service...

denise Hyman

Takes way to long to check you. Like you could die in here and still not be attended. Not enough doctors. I mean we get your tired but this is an emergency we wanna leave too

Jules Huang

They have fat and quick service. They are amazing. My father felt great less than 5 hours. Just amazed by the quality. ????

stephanie reyes

Terrible service and unprofessional peoples. This place sucks!!!

Jorge Chacon

I was thoroughly disappointed with the treatment I received in this Emergency room. A few days ago I arrived to the ER around 4:30am in excruciating abdominal pain, I have gall stones with a scheduled surgery but that night the pain became unbearable. It took 2 hours to be seen by a doctor and receive any type of pain medication. I am a registered nurse and I would never in a million years leave someone in pain for that long. I verbalized my pain level repeatedly and continued to be ignored. As a member of the nursing profession I am extremely disappointed in the care being administered in that ER. Pain is what the patient says it is and should NOT be ignored, Do Better!

I'm a Environmental service worker at New York Presbyterian Queens.

My husband had shoulder surgery here around early January of 2021. The hospital was clean, new looking, not crowded, bright, and airy. Sanitizer stations, masks, social distancing measures, and visitor limitations were in full effect. Everything felt very safe and sanitary. Doctor, nurses, and staff were all wonderful, competent, and really polite. The surgery went smoothly without any hiccups. Because of COVID-19, elective surgeries were mostly outpatient. The entire process ran efficiently, on-time, and as scheduled. They notified family members via text once the patient is awake. Overall, no complaints. The facility also has ample free parking for patients. An all-around 5-star experience!

Slow and unattentive

Amazing doctors but horrible staff. My mother was being cared for one night and told me she had a horrible experience. Staff are extremely disorganized and rude. The staff don’t seem to care for their patients and have a “it’s just a regular day at the job” attitude. It would take about an hour just to get an emergency response or care from the nurses. They are not helpful at all and only care for themselves. I would not recommend this place at all.

Favio Cardy

Perhaps your security staff needs to learn a little more respect when dealing with people instead of being dismissive and curt.

Ashley Gomez

Don’t come to this historical and waste your time. I have been sitting in the emergency room for 5 hours waiting to be checked in. I complained of terrible pelvic pain and have a fever and I have yet to be seen. A lady that is sitting near me in the waiting area has been waiting 7 hours. It seems like you have to pass out in order to be seen. Don’t waste your time and go elsewhere. Terrible hospital and rude staff.

FELIPE BETANCUR

Was wonderful I'm very happy with the staff and the Dr's in special Dr Andy Olson who is the great Dr and I want to say thank you for take care my mother in law, thank you, thank you, thanks

Donna Corvi

Every couple of months my mother is admitted to this hospital, and every time she is stabed by unprofessional savages who call themselves nurses, doctors and phlebotomist. They take advantage of the fact that she cannot defend herself in English, and so poke her where ever it's easier for them and not for the patient. My mother suffers from trauma due to her health issues, and stabbing her with needles does not make her experience in this hospital even better. The only reason why we keep coming back is because of short distance. So I'm sharing this with you guys so you're aware that there's so many people like my mother, who are tortured by idiots who lack compasion and humanity.

Virgo Doll

I was there for a scheduled surgery in December. The faculty and staff were all amazing. Given the COVID restrictions, family members cannot wait with patients. The nurses made sure I was well cared for and went out of their way to give the extra attention. Everything went well and I am recovering nicely.

Rohit Kumar

Every body they are nice except two days after nurses at ER one of them was saying in Spanish oh they has to wait with very Nesty uptitud I was waiting for a injection because I was in a lot pain I ask I couldn’t wait anymore and the doctor talk to the nurses and two of them they was complaining about my injection the hospital has to training the staff about humanity’s

Jason Li

Because slow

Erika Mullahey

The WORST EMERGENCY HOSPITAL!! My senior citizen mother was siting for hours in pain before they attended her!! Do not ever go during shift change!! You will not even see a nurse or a doctor for hours! They literally walked past my crying mother and said nor did nothing! HORRIBLE!

Our Little Secret

Very good hospital

Cardelia Davis

I love the hospital

Greg Thompson

The emergency department is quite time consuming. Wasted around 3 hours to meet and get checked by a doctor while the patient was in pain.

Stephanie Chen

Worst hospital. Staffs are rude. Doc didnt catch my toes were broke though she has x-ray. I kept complaining about the pain while nothing was helpful including clinic doctors because they want leave a voice msg with my number so that they can reach back to me for appointment. However I got nothing. Claim may be filed.

John Calderon

The worst hospital ever visited, the staff is rude they should change staff for polite people

Saber Gobran

I am 38 weeks 5 days pregnant I went to grab a chair to sit down cause my husband is being seen this black nurse told me I couldn’t take the chair that I have to stand but yet have a lady who I have pictures below give her chair makes a person not wanna come back to this place

Raymond Park

Very long wait time Not worth it

Michelle Ortiz

Don't get me wrong my docters are all affiliated with this hospital are amazing Unfortunately their ER is not the best went last week because I went to city md prior and they told me to.go to the ER gave me a.paper and all I waited 3 hours and no docter had seen me the nurse told me might be 5 hour plus wait I had to leave I was really dehydrated needed IV and ended going to another ER which took me right in and indeed needed a IV was so bad that they couldnt find my veins and when they did blood wasn't coming out very slow the nurses felt bad Point blank avoid this emergency room if you dont want to wait 5 + hour it was ridiculous not sure what would have happened if I continued waiting

Jacob Zakinov

I use to love this hospital becouse both of my kids was born there but now I will never recommend this hospital to no one . I went there on Sunday 5 pm there was Only four people sitting I came with severe pain on my chest And my stomach I had difficulty breathing Instead of taking me in As soon as possible workers was Discussing they love life and what food they cook for their husbands . It took them 6 hours to do my EKG and after they asked me to go back to the waiting room to wait until they call me then they gave me a bed finally at 12 am I was screaming from pain for them to give me a medicine they gave me a Tylenol it was not doing anything then the Dr said that they can't figure it out what's wrong and I had to just live I went to LIJ hospital and had emergency surgery almost died becouse of unprofession hospital of New York Presbyterian

I delivered my baby on April 1st, and we stayed at the "Mother and Baby" unit for 3 days. The services were outstanding. The doctors are very professional and friendly so are the nurses. The nurse checking my room and ask my needs every hour during first day and night, and every two hours the next days and nights. I love the most is the night shift nurse Mrs. Mary Mutty who work 11pm-7am shift. She is an awesome person. She gave me good advice about how to take care my newborn and always offer help when I need it. She definitely worth a five star.

Suela K

Kids doctor are very slow took 4 hours...nurse are very slow.....im not happy....my kids crying no one ask ??

Jakelin Jerez

I never been here but my dad broke a leg yesterday and is there he is going to get operrated

Carolyn Butler

I've been here for over 5 hours in the ER, I have yet to see a doctor.. meanwhile the waiting room has emptied and filled three times over since I first sat down.

This was our experience in New York Presbyterian/Queens, the ER department recently. The staffs NEVER WASHED THEIR HANDS upon touching the patients. Nor did they wash their hands after touching the patients. This includes the nurses, the doctor, the aids and etc. This is why people can go in to the hospital healthy and comes home sick because they get hospital germs, mind you the germs from the hospitals are "super bugs". Our nurse almost gave DOUBLE DOSE of insulin to my father. Thanks to God because I stopped her. I watched when the previous dose was given 5 minutes ago but by a different nurse who did not tell us who he is and what he was going to do with all that equipment in his hands. He didn't check the patient's name! So I had to keep watching closely and asking questions about whatever he is doing. Not only him, whenever anyone comes to the bed, they never introduce themselves, so I had to read their name tags while listening to what they are saying. The doctor without informing us gave the order to another different nurse to discharge us but that NURSE FORGOT, so we waited and waited without any acknowledgment. Until I got frustrated and grabbed the doctor and asked him "what is the news?" He said "I thought you were discharged" and he turned to the nurse who was sitting in front of us on his computer said "OH I thought they were in the other bed on the other side...." He thought we were the bed on the other side and since that bed was empty HE ASSUMED we had left.... Overall, I'm thankful that my dad was OK. I'd like to offer some suggestions as to how to improve better care to patients: 1. Wash your hands. 2. Check patients name tags. 3. Introduce yourselves and explain your procedures. 4. Keep the patients informed. I heard the working environment is bad and the employees are not treated well. So what happens when your health care providers are mistreated? They under perform and the patients get to pay the price.

Steven Inesyan

Best .. Best Hospital from Maternity, Doctors, Nurse , Food and especially in their Service are Number 1 . The place very clean and the people are very Professional. Most Highly Recommended. Thank You .

Philippe Jean

If I had to choose between dying and coming to New York Pres Queens ER I would seriously need to consider it. I was ignored and left to roll around in pain on a bed in the corridor. I was left in that hallway pleading, begging, crying and screaming for someone to "for the love of god, HELP me". I did finally get pain meds after 5 hours, but if I was not immobilized with pain I would have wandered to a pharmacy for literally any kind of pain med. Cost of ER portion alone: $5,974.18

Abi

I called to speak with someone, and I got send around the whole entire hospital & NOT ONE person helped me, the people in the EMERGENCY ROOM DID NOT HELP ME AT ALL.

David

Arrived at 920pm feburary 5. Its 1238am February 6 and still waiting for service...I see 3 other people before me and that are waiting too. I understand the hospital is very busy today. But over 3 hours is a bit too long.. I'll add more info on when my wife gets some type of service.

Ainee Haris

Quality service ✨ very fast and organized!

Letty l

Very super nice people. They offer you crossword puzzles and coloring books. Better then Elmhurst hospital.

Nelly Blake

Worst emergency room to visit. I took my dad in for a swollen belly and difficulty breathing he waited for over 6 hours to be seen by a doctor. He could have died and they wouldn’t care. They don’t allow anyone other than patients to sit in the waiting room which means we were standing outside the building for over 6 hours. Many people brought in babies to be looked at and they were waiting for hours as well. One parent threw the papers on the floor and walked out in frustration. Avoid at all cost they only want your insurance information to bill the company no humanity in the folks who works there.

Loving Heavenly Jesus our Father, please my humbly request with you please please take care my sweetheart wife FouziAdil.that's why I can't live without her.Amen

On Thursday (8/5/21) my aunt went here to the emergency room because she thought she was having an allergic reaction to a new medicine she was taking. My aunt is not fluent in English, she speaks Spanish and she called my mother to translate. She was not having any allergic reaction but the doctors and nurses wanted to admit her regardless. On the phone with my mother these greedy abusive nurses and doctors continued to lie to us about her condition; saying her kidney and liver function were bad, she had shingles, and leaving her waiting with no bed just seated when she has major health issues. When we said she would go to Mt Sinai instead (her usual hospital) they tried to tell my mother that it was illegal but my aunt was not admitted. My mother was ready to leave and go pick her up but to keep my aunt there waiting they lied saying they actually called Mt Sinai and that Mt Sinai was sending an ambulance to pick her up. After 12 HOURS total we realized they lied because my mom called Mt Sinai to confirm and Mt Sinai said they never received any calls or request for an ambullette for my aunt. DISGUSTING. When my mother dropped my aunt off at Mt Sinai, the wonderful doctors and nurses there confirmed she was fine and there was nothing wrong with her. PLEASE be careful leaving your vulnerable family members here, there are horrible doctors and nurses who will scare them and mistreat them. The doctor and nurses were not wearing name tags and never introduced themselves so unfortunately we did not get their names. BE VERY WARY OR GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.

Ken hu

Excellent service the staff are friendly, my daughter gave birth at this hospital and meet some great Nurses, Doctors like Dr Jason Fong, Dr schroll, Dr thener and all the other doctors one love

Jennifer Melo

This hospital is absolute the worst hospital I have ever been to. My son’s father has been there since 5pm this afternoon and they have yet to tell him his results or assist with the pain he’s having. It’s 11 hours later and he is still waiting in the same waiting room. I have never seen such lack of care by health care professionals. Words can’t explain how upsetting this situation is!

Parviz Sirojev

The attention from the people that work in the hospital. People are friendly and the place is clean.

Patricia Daruich

I visited a friend of mine and I was amazed by how super clean it’s. The staff and care are exceptional! ????????

Rodolfo Mateus

Fast service in emergency dept, pay parking lot expensive & maximum time lot full because of small capacity car parking, pharmacy not except Medicaid , they open 8am-10pm. Emergency dept they provide a chair instead of bed.they are hurry to checkout/discharge, overall I have bad experience.

Norma San Martin

Today come to emergency room and is awful I had been recommended this hospital but today I felt like I was in Elmhurst Hospital the worse one in Queen very very disapointed????????

Frankie Anthony

The nurses and doctors were very friendly to my kids.

Steven Liu

Long waiting time, lack of communication between front desk and ER registration, I am about to walk out in 15 minute as I have been waiting for 2 hours. I got breathing problem and it seems like it's not a problem to them.

Noelia Elizabeth

Visited on 8/1/18 with my young child. Upon arrival, we were expedited to the front of the registration line. After entering the pediatric ED, the service was steadily pleasant. Nurses Susan & Jenna were very patient and compassionate towards my daughter who was nervous as she associates doctors & hospitals with "shots." Luckily, she needed no shots. Dr. Thompson was very thorough in explaining the diagnosis, what they were going to do for my child & with answering any questions I had. I was extremely pleased with the swift yet efficient attention they gave to my daughter. I appreciate not being overlooked & waiting hours on end. Kudos & God Bless them all!

Nics McL

Worst hospital ever!!!!!! the staff sucks the doctors suck. The ER room especially sucks. I recommend nobody goes here you will sit a whole day waiting for someone to take care of you.

Miguel Jimenez

I had 2 operations there and they were my first. I will never forget Dr Chawla who performed the first. He has disappeared, but I still look for him.

Carlos Almachi

Dr. Litong Du Very friendly and Patience

ER is HORRIBLE! My dad was taken here from a rehab facility for a transfusion, due to low hemoglobin, and return trip back to the facility. We arrived at the ER on Saturday at 3:00 PM. He was registered and I gave my number for medical updates. I called at 7:00 PM and was told the nurse was busy and they would call me back. I called again at 9:00 PM and was asked for my number again with promise of return call. Again at 10:30 PM I called and was told he was stable in the ER, and was being admitted. Next morning, dad was still in the ER and I could not speak with him and was asked to call back after 1:00 PM. I called again at 11:00 AM to find out my dad was in a section called ETAP while he waited for a room, and that we could visit him from 3-7. I was able to speak with my dad at this time and he told me to get him out of there, he was in the basement and it was a dungeon. My brother went to visit and verified that is was a dreary extension to the ER, in the basement unfit for animals, let alone sick people. My dad signed out AMA and lost his place in the rehab facility too.

Today my experience with all the staff at Queens Presbyterian hospital (emergency room), was truly amazing. At such a time with the covid pandemic,- I was treated with upmost care, compassion & professionalism. It’s people like(Doctors/RN & all hospital staff) that make this world a better place. May God Bless the Doctors,RN & Staff who cared for me. May God bless them & their families with health & Greater days ahead!!✌️????♥️????✝️

Md Hasan

Currently at ER since 5:30. I have not seen a doctor yet. Imagine almost 6 hours. I might have to die to be seen.

Vanny Singh

The staff were doing their best to take care of my grandma during her stay. Thank you all for your patience and kindness; special thanks to the staff who work on the ICU unit on the 7th floor!

RUDI CORDOVA

No, it is a nice place.

I came last week to the emergency room. They took great care of me took my concerns seriously. Hopefully won't have to go back but would trust them if I had to go back

Incompetent, disrespectful bunch of idiot nurses that work here. I went to the emergency room for head injury 2 days ago. The lady at the front desk and the doctor that saw me are both very nice but I was really disgusted by the attitude of 2 Asian ladies that work in the emergency room: One is working in the regestration room; and the other one is working in another room inside the waiting area---- both of them treat patient in a very rude manner. I won't mention too much about the one that works in the regestration room, I would specifically talk about the one that works inside the waiting area because I personally think she is the rudest one. After hearing what I was concerning, the old black lady sitting near the door told me to ask the Asian lady further inside the room, which looks like some 16 year old girl from south east Asia(a real ugly girl by the way). I asked her nicely when I can be discharged. But to my surprise, she gave me a really nasty look like I just owed her thousands of bucks, and said in a really condescending attitude: "Who are you? Why you here? Where're you from?" ARE YOU F**in KIDDING ME? What is this, some kind of joke? are you checking a suspected criminal, Who taught you to ask patients this sort of rude and idiotic questions? What are you, a slave driver? Did your parents taught you to speak to people like that? Didn't your parents teach you some manner? You feed your superiority complex by talking down to patients this way? Well, I have to calmed my temper down and asked her again. she showed me some really nasty body language and said" you got a go to the front desk , bla bla ..... etc" I did not bother to argue with her at the time due to my headache, but rather I talked to the doctor that just saw me in the triage room. luckily I got discharged by my doctor within 10 minutes. I forgot to ask that Asian lady's name at the time because I was in pain and also too upset, but I am sure any one who visit Queens Hospital emergency room often should know whom I am talking about. I personally think this Asian lady should be fired for having such nasty and rude attitude towards patient. How did you degenerates get your jobs anyway? Please Learn to treat patients with care and respect. At least pretend that you care for patient's safety and well being, as that is a part of your job-correct? And stop openly bad mouthing patients. Disgusting

恩meng

The medical and nursing care were amazing from the ER all the way through the entire stay. The team is well prepared, professional and no matter who you encounter the employees seem approachable and happy to work there.

What A Great Hospital To Go To The Nurses Are Extremely Helpful And The Doctor Comes To Check Up On You And He Calls The Next Day To See How Your Doing One Of The Best Places To Go In An Event Of A Emergency.

Svetlana Khaimova

This by far the worst Er experience me and my girlfriend had. She came in with excruciating pain do to her stomach and chest pain. It took them 8hrs before they even gave her a tylenol. Even after running tests they still couldn't figure out what was wrong. She decided to check herself out because they weren't doing anything to help. We decided to go to lij Er and they took care of her right away. Found the issue straight forward and had the emergency gallbladder removed. They managed her pain the right way. Neverrrrr again with presbyterian. This place is for the birds.

Joanne Li

I gave birth to my daughter in this hospital and the staff was so attentive and nurturing towards me and my new born and the after care was even better.

xesty

The best experience on one of my worse days. Excellent service and so profesional doctors and nurses. Thanks for everything.

Sanya Rahim

I love this hospital, its quiet, its huge, alllllll staff, nurses, doctors are nice all the time. Very professional

aytac caglayan

Clean, fast, and great service.

roza davydova

Absolutely the BEST hospital ever! The service is great, nurses are knowledgeable and kind and do their job from the heart. Staff are polite. Food is delicious. I deliver both of my babies here and LOVE each minute spend there. Is like going on a vacation kind of experience, not a hospital.

wendy lopez

Although I don’t remember how I got there ,because of my seizure,I remember the care I was under once I was awake.Beautiful and caring people!

Tu Ni

Great hospital, My son was born there.

Teresa Xiamen

I got a fish bone stuck in my throat. I went here to check and they let me wait for hours. Then run a CAT scan or something. The doctor said he didn’t see anything. He also asks a radiologist check out and also nothing. He asked me to stay for 3 days. Later I still feel hurts and come see a throat doctor. He put a camera down my throat and see a pretty large fish bone! I mean WTF. Doctors in ER need to be more responsible!

Fanny Perez

It. Is. A bad. Hospital don't. Go. In. This. Hospital. Ok. Bye

Apu

Going to the hospital is never pleasant, however, the staff here do their utmost to make your visit or stay here as pleasant as possible. Since 99% of my doctors are affiliated with this hospital, I come here for all my imaging needs & virtually all my blood tests are handled here. This makes it easy for my doctors & me to see the images (a few taps on their computer keyboard) & written reports. This place has a parking lot & is near public transportation. It is handicap-friendly.

Aamir

Iam so happy I had my baby today best customer service great doctora clean and fast service thank you so much doctors and nurses and staff of this great hospital

hang lin

As many times I bring my sister she always get good attention. ..

funny guy

I brought my mom to the ER for shortness of breathe. All their staff were very professional and knew what they were doing. I highly recommend this hospital!!!

Ava Stin

By far the worst hospital I have ever been to in my life. I came here with stabbing abdominal pain. The people at the front looked mighty displeased to see me and grudgingly asked for my ID. They gave me no further directions so I had to ask around for my next steps. The RN then made me stand for 10 minutes without giving me any directions on what I should do or even acknowledging my presence. I then waited... and waited... and waited... I waited there for 3 hours without a single update, without anyone checking in on me, without a number, and without any indication of when or if I would be seen. And the waiting room was absolutely frigid. I would say it was 63 degrees which is not great for the immune systems of the many sick and coughing people who wait there for hours. Thank God the pain went ahead and I saw myself out. This was such a profoundly disappointing experience. Please do not go here. Find any other hospital if you possibly can.

Roseann Wingate

I went in to to ER at 12 in the morning because of my moms head injury (she was bleeding). We waiting an hour for the doctor to come. Waited another hour to do CT. Then 4 more hours for the report to come back. Oh and during this whole night we were in there, not a single nurse help my mom clean the blood on her head, the blood was already dried up by then. So we wasted 6+hours in there without any treatment. Such a fantastic hospital in New York.

Cherry Red

Wait til 3 hours plus for my grandmother taken in by ambulance- no fluids given to her in that time despite being severely dehydrated. This isn't the first time.

Towfick Alhaj

Worst place to go. When you need a care. Staff are not friendly. Don’t go there.

Gilberto Diaz

Good service

Marina Urdaneta

Current wait time 4 hours and counting

Josie Santos

I just came from the ER which is not an actual ER it's the slowest room with no care for the patients. I went with so much hopes that I will get the treatment but after waiting for 4 hours I just came back untreated. When I told the receptionist that no one is interested in calling my name for the treatment so I should go home. Without taking a second she said, OK. I'm having a very bad ache in my left side ribs. I'm so nervous but sitting there in uncomfortable chairs it was even more painful. Horrible experience. I just hope I will be healthy enough so I will not need to visit the slowest ER.

Dani A

Waited for 12 hours, I tell them my 9 months old son at home with my mom. but her back haa some problems can't take care baby for too long time, they tell me doctors is come I still wait for 1. 5 hours thanks now I know why so many 2 die

Rikardo Menger

Very good Hospital, professional and dedicated medical staff runs fast to solve problem. Dr. keenly listen and analysis problems too. Overall a good hospital in Queens. Thanks everyone.

Omar K

After leaving Wyckoff Hospital in utter disgust with my 7 year old son who had a 7 stitch gash on his forehead and no one attended him, I was referred to NY Presbyterian Queens by a friend. From the minute we walked in to the ER, we were admitted and given a bracelet. And because my son was so shooken up, we were escorted to a private curtain room where my son, whose shirt was covered in blood since 4pm in afterschool, could lay down. Yes we waited, but it was clean, quiet and calm. By the time my son got his stitches, he was so relaxed! If this is how you treat patients, I will definitely be back. Everyone was amazing. Thank you for taking care of my little guy.

Shirley Wong

Bad very bad service super slow why you should wait so long when you come to an emergency!!!

Jean Olivier

It is understood that you have a lot of work to do but when you know your patient is diabetic and you know they are in pain and you still haven’t taken any blood or a finger stick now that’s wrong. I’ve seen the doctor before Ive seen the nurses. That’s ridiculous when it is suppose to be the other way around. This is why I say I rather die before going to a hospital. Plus an hour wait!! Like okay I guess we are going to have to get some lawyers involved because this is negligent af. Everyone is walking around and just checking the monitors. How about check my blood sugar ma’am or sir. How about take some blood so we can get the ball rolling. #annoyed af

June Fiddis

No compassion, no heart, and no skill, these are the words you have described my experience at New York Presbyterian, Queens.

Ram Tuvilla

Dirty pediatrics ER. Very long wait while many staff dilly dally. Unsure of the process but, just for a rash we waited two and half hours to be seen. Deplorable, especially with an empty triage at the time we arrived. 3/23/19.

Richard Chao

Nice hospital all clean and organized

Rony Gomes

I bring my kid in emergency here and we waited for Doctor forever which actually kills the purpose of me bring the kid in emergency .worse service and no care . If possible , avoid this hospital .

Jonaydin Guzman

Bring your own blanket. It’s freezing in here. My MIL (the patient waiting in emergency) asked for a blanket and got snottily turned down by a nurse at her computer. She said “I heard you the first time and you asking another nurse 10 seconds later? Be patient!” Seriously??

Lorna Quiles

I had symptoms of (possibly) a very serious condition that required a diagnostic test. For 2 days I was made to wait to have it performed, only to get no response from the technician as to when it would happen, until evening when it was cancelled for unstated reasons. I wasn't informed that I'd need to fast for it until they simply didn't serve me breakfast or lunch, so for one day I went without food for almost 24 hours. I'd have been starved another day had I not simply left the place due to their neglect. I still don't know what I had or have, and some symptoms persist. The only things tested for where things I brought up as possible causes. Otherwise, they just storaged me and pumped me with drugs that they had no way of knowing whether or not I needed because they hadn't diagnosed me with anything. They didn't try to figure out what was wrong. 3 doctors from infectious diseases only showed up when I expressed my frustration and threatened legal action. By then I had already agreed to leave "against doctors recommendation", dressed and was ready for discharge. Healthcare in Queens New York is inferior to that of most third world countries. Just pure apathy.

SOFIYA SHUBAYEVA

Who hired these people at the hospital? First of all the manager or persons responsible for opening the door for these employees should get fired! They all are lost or confused ????????‍♀️! On the day of me getting service, I was not helped the proper way a health care professional is supposed to take care of their patients! I am not an animal! And I think animals get better treatment !????????????
