More than 40 min wait although I had an appointment

Dr. Elliot Hirschman is the orthopedist who did my knee surgery. The man is actually famous; he treats the Jets and lots of other top athletes. Yet Dr. H treated little me like a star too; His knowledge of knees, his careful technique, and the high seriousness with which he regarded my pain and worry rank him among the best doctors I have ever encountered. And he is a top surgeon! I feel great. My knee is fantastic and I am back to running. The MEETH surgical staff was great too; the Doc who did my anesthesia was warm and a good listener; he made sure to handle my tendency towards nausea. The nurses were lovely and skilled, and the place is spotless and efficiently run.

Very dirty (I had to tell the nurses to change sheets which had blood, bodily fluids and other stains from previous patients), some of the staff very unprofessional and was about to get poisoned since my allergy requests were ignored! My worst hospital experience.

Yesterday I had surgery at Mahattan ,Eye ,Ear and Throat Hospital and was provided with outstanding service at this hospital. Everyone from the the security and registration offered extreme care and comforting service. It makes a difference in your stay when the hospital staff really cares about your comfort and anxieties concerning a surgical procedure. Thank you Dr. Zimbler for choosing this exceptional facility for my surgery.

I went in yesterday for a procedure and was really blown away with every single member of the staff. They were super attentive, explained the process/timing in great details, and made the experience as comfortable as it could be. Extra points for the second gown they gave me which was gingham. Who knew a hospital procedure could also make you feel somewhat stylish?!

I have never ever seen such a dirty place in my life! Although this place is an hospital, you can enter the sterile room without any precautions! Bathrooms were awful! For me going out side for smoking (!) with surgery clothes and turn back to place where the patients come after surgery NOT acceptable. I don't know how that place can give a service as an hospital with lack of hygiene! Not only hygiene but also this place has a problem about taking serious their job. My husband has serious gluten allergy, even we wrote it every paper and has a bracelet for indicated it, the nurse brought biscuits after surgery for him to eat (he was still under anesthesia luckily I was there and just incase asked if it's gluten free or not then they noticed he has an allergy). Some nurse were also so rude! I don't even talking about price.

Most people complain about the wait. But...how long would you wait to save your vision? It is the luck of the draw in terms of waiting but emergency cases jump the line. How would you feel if it was you? So, be patient and know that you're getting some of the best if not THE best care available in the world! It's just that simple. And truth be told they do contact you and try to better their procedures. It can be frustrating but, would you prefer lower quality and faster? Just sit tight and be grateful that you're in New York!

The most amazing care from when I entered until I exited the building. Just got home from my surgery and I am still in awe, partly because of anesthesia but mostly how I was cared for. Everyone that interacted with me was so nice, they made me feel at ease. Just the ambience and aura of the staff was so positive. I can’t believe a hospital like this exist. I was nervous and afraid at first. But then, I was so relaxed and happy for my surgery because every nurse, doctor, anesthesiologist, admitting personnel and others treated me like I was family. Warm blankets, even a hug all the way to the operating room. God bless all of the staff at MEET! Thank you so much!

I called today to try and make an appointment for my eyes. The receptionist who answered was very vague in the information she gave me. I don't have insurance so I'd be paying out of pocket so I inquired what the initial fee would be and her response was "about $200, and any extra tests would be extra". Now i work for a doctor myself so i knew that anything extra would of course be extra but when I asked if she could be more specific on the initial fee she again responded with "about $200 no less than $200", so I again tried to get an exact amount since it's coming out of my own pocket and she couldn't give me a definitive price. I don't know about anyone else but not being able to give me an exact price on just the initial visit seems a little fishy. I told her I'd call back but i will not be scheduling any appointments with this facility.

The moment I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and was immediately taken care of. Came here for an outpatient surgery last week -this was my first surgery and I was very nervous. The staff was very comforting and professional which helped put me at ease. My husband and two year old came with me and they even gave my daughter toys and snacks to keep her busy while I was in surgery. All the nurses I met were great! Also, the hospital and operating room was very bright and clean. Would definitely recommend this hospital.

The outpatient center for mental health is the wierdest and creepiest part of the hospital. Go there and theres no one. They are always closed and "not accepting new patients". I know because I always go to my doctor who is in the same floor. One time I was shocked to see people there.

Wow! From the gentlemen who valet parked my car, all the ancillary staff and Dr. Jamie Mitchell top notch treatment. I am being treated for a neuro opthamology issue. It was time for a second opinion. Being a Long Islander, city parking isn’t one of my talents. I was delighted that valet parking was available. The inside reception staff was efficient and polite. A few questions about my general health and temp taken, registration done. A bit more paperwork in Dr Mitchell’s office and I was taken into an exam room. Several tests were done by technicians and nurses. Each and everyone very kind and professional. Especially, Zina (excuse me, if I am not exact on her name) she performed the visual field exam. Again, professional, very caring and reassuring. Dr. Mitchell came on a recommendation as well as her good reviews. She is a very skilled, caring professional. Well mannered taking time to listen. She addressed my questions and concerns. Going forward I will be using the Dr. Mitchell at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. They are part of Northwell. Definitely worth the trip to thy city.

Where to begin !! the staff at the department of plastic surgery are amazing from the minute I was greeted by Miladys the receptionist and financial advisor to Yelena the head nurse of the department to Dr.Funderburk the aesthetic surgeon I felt welcomed and comfortable. Dr.Funderburk took over an hour at my consult and answered and addressed all my questions and concerns I knew I was in good hands and decided to go ahead with the necktie procedure which I had 2 days ago I am in AW with the results already and it is only going to get better Dr.Funderburk took extra good care during the procedure as if I was his mom and I must say Kimberley the procedure nurse made me forget I was even having a procedure as well as Yelana and Dr.F I highly recommend the department of plastic surgery at MEETH and looking foward to my next procedure with DR.Funderburk he is very compassionate and caring surgeon and MEETH is lucky to have him on board

Had eye surgery here. Like most hospitals, staff is knowledgeable, friendly and on point. Facility is clean. My only issue is overbooking the OR’s. Don’t have a patient come in 2 hours before scheduled surgery only to wait another 2 hours because of a backed-up OR. Otherwise would recommend this Hospital to others.

First of all, my two nurses Adele and Ms.Melrose, they're both so caring and compassionate and that means everything to a patient. I thank you my angels. Overly bureaucratic. I can never get through to any department. They are really pushing eye surgery here whether it is in the best interest of the patient or not. The surgeon I consulted refused to help me search for review articles on the procedures, saying, "I don't do that." One can also not review a surgeon's record, outcomes of procedures performed, or patient's satisfaction with the procedural outcome (despite the fact that by law such information must be collected. They take insurance--the rules of insurance--patients' must have skin in the game. They need to have information about the doctors so they can "shop around" and compare. Hah! MEETH also keeps dropping insureres. I feel like I'm going to a K mart clinic here.

I am a person very concerned when it refers about my health, adding that I consider myself an apprehensive patient. I have to perform a surgery on my both eyes in this hospital and is just incredible how my doctor and his staff made this experience so smooth and just relax for me. Three days already after my surgery, but I just dont want to let more days passing without recommend my ophthalmologist Dr. Eric Lichtenstein and his team that made an excellent job, including the anesthesiologist Dr. Caruso and all the nurses Patricia and Marcia, since I can remember their names, they treated me so well! I spent a half day waiting for surgery, but I can't complain. Those people maybe don't smile every day, because they working hard, patient after patient everybody was busy but they answer every my question and they were nice for everyone, I got everything what I asked. During my surgery my wife got a few texts about progress.After surgery(it took 1.5 hr.) they told me I can stay until I feel good enough to get up, but it took only 20 min. for me . I just wanted to be home.

From Harriet at admissions to the nurses aids, nurses and staff I had a pleasant experience from start to finish for an unpleasant situation. Harriet was professional, kind and personable with a genuine persona for her positition. Kiera the Pre Op RN was beyond professional as well and personable. Dr. Guzman the anesthesiologist was thorough and kind making me fell at ease. Eric the traveling RN was professional and NY EET would be lucky to have him full time. Last and certainly not least is DR. Romo......I left a personal review for him at his office and words can NOT express the appreciation I have for this gifted man in persona and profession. The hospitals process from valet to discharge was seamless and prompt not leaving you with that typical hospital experience. I was very impressed. Thank you Dr. Romo and staff!!

Saw so called "dr zimmerman" a northwell urologist 210 east64th street,nyc on 01/19/2021for a prescription pre authorization.I called my insurance pharmacy was told he never called in nor faxed said prescription...never gave me my blood test results.....this so called dr is a crook collecting paychecks from northwell without rendering a service....he graduated from med school not to care for his unsuspecting patients....but to make lots of money.....while NORTHWELL IS ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL.....Only in nyc ,only at NORTHWELL ,A LOUSY RECRUITER,MANAGER.
