Terrible service. Do not recommend. There is no toothpaste when requested, no extra help when the valet is full, and they pretty much leave everything to the guests while they stand around and gossip. Service staff is the worst I’ve seen ever, and we’ve started in several national and international hotels! No free Wi-Fi too - come on, it’s 2021!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Beautifully designed, but more importantly the service was outstanding, everyone who worked there was kind and helpful.

Great hotel! However Wifi & parking is not included and are very expensive. Overall great atmosphere and place.

Had cocktail and returned for lunch which was delicious. Lovely staff and beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you for a memorable visit

Well above and beyond experience. Incredible personal service. Especially from the girl in the health club. She was there yesterday and today. Wish I could remember her name, she deserves recognition. Will be back and will recommend this magnificent historic hotel.

Went for the weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. Beautiful room, terrific service. Everyone friendly and helpful. Dinner at Reign was delicious and they had a surprise birthday desert for us. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. All in all a terrific experience.

Liked the experience been my on wish list since I moved to Toronto. Best part of the stay was amazing breakfast in the Rein bakery .

Stayed in a newly-updated 1-bedroom suite - which was stunning. The bathroom and tub were amazing. Service was EXCELLENT! Incredible views from my room. Location is perfect.

Paid wifi was unexpected and expensive. Paid bar fridge felt gimmicky. For how fancy this hotel presents itself, it¿s fairly basic.

The Fairmont Royal York provided an excellent experience for us on our last visit. The Fairmont Gold floor is on a totally other level of service. Noor and his team are thoughtful, caring and focused on making every guests experience a great one. The lounge is beautifully designed and very comfy. The food and drinks are fantastic. It’s the perfect place to stay when you want to be right in the action Toronto has to offer. We enjoyed the lounge, the Leafs game and then a beautiful one bedroom suite. I truly think it’s hard to beat a great stay at the Fairmont Royal York. I highly recommend it. Patrick at the front door, Eddie in valet and Scott from guest services are all first class.

Nice room and definitely renovated. The Library Bar is a great place to have a drink and even dinner. Great service and atmosphere is electric.

There was the longest check in line ever! At $---/ night, I'd expect more staff to be hired for the front desk. There was a lot of staff walking around, but only 4 of 12 check-in desks were staffed. The line was probably 30-40 groups deep.

I stayed at the Royal York with a couple friends recently and had the best time. The room was perfect, the atmosphere was friendly and the service was top notch (thank you, Mitch!). Looking forward to going back soon!

Excellent service, outstanding interiors. Absolutely loved it, stayed there for 10 days.

Great hotel with great staff.....but, a 30 minute wait to drop off car at valet parking to be met with a check in line that ran half the length of their huge beautiful lobby, another 40 minute wait to check in....leaving the next day, phone and nobody answers to get my car, another 20-25 minutes....maybe covid driven staff issues because the valets that were working were running, we always tip staff as they were working hard and it was cold....rooms were immaculate as always and Library Bar is always a treat

Was supposed to be a nice, romantic stay for our 6th anniversary but was disappointed in the room; the close office buildings out all windows made it feel a bit claustrophobic, the bathroom was tiny and the toilet was something out of a public stall that ran on for minutes (certainly not eco-friendly). Called to see if there was anything that could be done and was told the front desk would call back in 10 minutes to figure out if anything could be done. Never heard from the concierge or front desk again. Overall, service was lacking, the room was certainly not "deluxe" the upgrade had said it was, and I don't think I would return. Lobby was very nice and posh though!

Did the "Gold" room experience and wow! Everything was great. The executive lounge is amazing, the complimentary washroom supplies are top knock and I could stay in the shower all day.

Great, friendly staff. Beautiful and clean environment. Seen a lot of reviews about wifi not included but it was. Breakfast delivered by room service was relish. Fantastic eggs Benedict. Will be returning

Never having stayed at such a luxury hotel, I was delighted with every detail! Staff were most gracious and very efficient. Breakfast in our room was so decadent. The detail and formality of the meal were surprising yet very appreciated! We will be back next we treat ourselves!!

Team Royal York, Toronto Magical Day and our COVID Angels In May 2019, we booked our daughter’s June 2020 wedding at the Royal York in the Ballroom. The timeless beauty of the hotel and the ballroom was exactly what we were looking for. From day 1 until day 816 when wedding date #4 (August 20, 2021) happened Morgan, Anita and Carole were there for us, supporting us through what should be a joyful and exciting time of life that had morphed into uncertainty, disappointment and many tears. We heard so may negative outcomes for other couples but for us the Royal York team listened, asked what we wanted to do, moved mountains to move our wedding date 3 times as we all watched the pandemic unfold, and finally hosted our event to perfection. We are not sure what more we can say other than the day was magical, food & beverage outstanding, and each and every employee made Hilary and Anguel’s day perfect by going well beyond our expectations. A special call out to Carole Milic who personally greeted my 97 year old mother at the hotel on arrival and took such good care of her by getting her settled in her special accommodated room. Thank you, thank you, thank you! [PS: A bit tardy in posting this as was waiting for the professional photos but we are still waiting.]

The lobby and building were beautiful. The shower head shot out water in every direction but down. You had to pay for wifi and the kitchen closed at 10 PM. For the price it was not worth it.

This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you won't regret it. I had a great experience here. Beautiful hotel and it’s in downtown Toronto. The rooms were clean. I just would of liked the window in the room to be cleaner. Jacuzzi might need some work. Great customer service here. Thanks for everything!

We specifically went to this hotel because we called ahead to check if thr pool was open because we have 3 kids. When we arrived they had lost our reservations and they told us that we could not going swimming because it was booked up. The manager was very rude and said nothing she could do and if I wanted to stay somewhere else I was more then welcome to. I had a copy of the reservation on my phone.I cannot believe the way we were treated for $800.00 dollars a night. Not going back I encourage no one else to either look for another hotel there is much better ones in that area.

The whole experience was amazing check in was slow though even though it was at noon early check in it took a good 30 minutes and there was 3 people to check in. I was on the 11th floor great view of Lake Ontario and the surrounding area. Used the health club which was nice the hot tub wanted to use the dry sauna but wasn’t warm enough even though I waited. Had dinner in the reign restaurant had beef tartare which melted in my mouth was outstanding and then a steak which was equally amazing great dinner throughly enjoyed.

A little disappointed in the Luxury King Room here. It was not clean, old coffee spill still on the floor, clumps of hair, a cat claw on the floor!!! Only one light bulb in the bathroom and the fixtures were falling apart lol! The lobby is great tho and the bar staff was super accommodating to ensure we had the full fairmont experience!

Average, over rated, unnecessarily expensive hotel. Attended a wedding ceremony here recently. Hotel looks really old inside. Long lineups for check in and check out. It's kinda dark inside everywhere kept lit with artificial lights; there's no natural light. Exorbitant parking amid difficult to navigate downtown streets. Never understood why people like this place so much.

Exquisite hotel in the heart of everything Toronto has to offer. Close to Union Station and Scotiabank Arena... valet parking is pricey but so is the rest of Toronto. The food at Reign was amazing.

Valet rushed me out of my car and wanted my keys before I even made a reservation. And $49 for parking pffft. This hotel was supposed to be fit for a queen. Rooms are small. Mini bar is way over-priced and room prices are not as advertised. Don't let the flashy website fool you. My toilet wobbles and there is a massive snot on the plug-in beside me as I write this. No help with bags either. Have had way better experience at a way lower rate with competitors. Will not be staying again.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of the Gold Suites and I must say, it was the most amazing, top notch service I've ever experienced at this hotel. Louise and her team go above and beyond at all times. The room and lounge were equally stunning. Ample breastfast, delicious evening canapés and drinks... a must do if staying here!
