Doctor Yates is a very skilled artistic plastic surgeon! I underwent breast augmentation three weeks ago, and my number one concerned was getting keloid scarring after surgery. He was very reassuring that the incision site would be very small and unnoticeable. Much to my surprise since removing my steri strips the scarring is very minimum! What a huge relief! Prior to getting breast implants I did extensive research, and I honestly could not find one negative review. That alone help in my decision-making of knowing that he's the surgeon for me. If you want a honest, trustworthy, highly educated, and skilled surgeon pleased look no further.

My experience with Dr. York Yates and his entire staff was amazing. I went in wanting a breast lift and augmentation. I had many questions and concerns which they never seemed to be bothered by them. They have an app to where you can get ahold of the nurses, the coordinator (Lindsay which is awesome) and Dr. Yates himself and I never waited long for a response. It's very convenient and makes you feel at ease. I always felt comfortable and every single person is so kind. I was never in pain. I only took my muscle relaxer the day after surgery and only IB profen at night and never took anything other than that. There was very little bruising and my body is still healing very well. I love my results so far and couldn't have asked for better.

I had a breast lift and augmentation done three weeks ago. I absolutely love the results. Dr. Yates was very friendly, and helpful. He answered all the questions I had before my surgery and made me feel comfortable. I've gone to see three other plastic surgeons before meeting Dr. Yates, all of which were "too optimistic". Instead of answering questions, they just said "don't worry they will turn out great". When I came to Dr. Yates with my concerns, he understood and he was realistic which I absolutely loved. The day of surgery the whole staff made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. The surgery went very well and the result is so much better than I expected. The recovery was not nearly as painful as I thought it would be. At three weeks post op my scars are thin, flat lines that I am sure will fade beautifully over the next few months. Dr. Yates exceeded my expectations, and I can't thank him enough. I highly reccomend him.

I work with many woman so I have seen scars from quite a few breast lifts by many different doctors and my scars are the best I’ve ever seen. It’s been four months now and you can hardly see any scars. I would recommend Dr. Yates to everyone. He took the time with me to discuss size and scarring. He did the exact size that I wanted. An incredibly talented surgeon. I was very nervous for this surgery and spent months comparing doctors. I ended up going to 5 other consultations and truly believe he’s the best in the state! I had significant breast asymmetry and was told by almost every other surgeon that my results wouldn’t be perfect. Dr. Yates was confident he could give me what I wanted, and he did! I have perfect symmetry now and scarring is minimal. Recovery was a breeze, a little discomfort but essentially no pain. Dr. Yates always responded quickly to messages and was amazing to work with. He was extremely patient with me as I changed my size a million times, then ended up going with his original recommendation lol. (My advice is to show him a picture of what you want, then trust his expertise. I wasted a lot of time and energy worrying about it) Also loved the 3D imaging software he uses so you can visualize your results before surgery. Didn’t find that at any other consultation and my projected results were really similar to my actual results. Overall, worth every penny and so happy I chose him to do my surgery!

I felt a little rushed and came home not even remembering the sizes I tried on and which size I liked the most. The 3D image was the most amazing tool for prospective patients. Dr Yates' professional opinion lined up with what we both thought would look good for my frame. I did not feel I was being sold on why he would be a great choice. I liked his confidence and felt he and his staff were very knowledgeable. I went to Dr Yates for my tummy tuck and I couldn't be more pleased. He is the most amazing Dr. I was so scared the morning of and just didn't know what to expect. My last child was delivered via c-section and that recovery wasn't too bad but based off of what I have been reading, most people say that the TT is far worse that a c-section. I am going on day 5 of recovery and so far, I have been pleasantly surprised at how manageable the pain is. He uses tissue glue rather than drains which I believe that, and the fact that he is so incredibly skilled, is why my recovery has been so smooth. Anyways, Dr York Yates is the surgeon you want to go with. Even if you live a ways away, it would be worth it to come out.

I did not have a good experience with Dr Yates or his staff. I went in knowing I had implants that leaked. I had received both implants as a result of having breast cancer several years ago. When Dr Yates came in he was not very personable, and after he examined me, he said what I felt was an insulting comment when he said, "Well, you're ____ years old, do you even want to replace them? " As if when you turn over 60 your intimate life is over and you don't care any more about how you look to your husband or yourself! I was so taken back by his statement I didn't know what to say, and said "well I could think about that", or something to that effect. So then they said they would call me for a follow-up appointment after they checked with the insurance to see that it was covered. A month went by with no phone call so I called them. They said, "Oh we'll get back to you". TWO MORE MONTHS went by with NO PHONE CALL. So I called once more and said that 3 months had gone by with no phone call. Whoever answered finally got the message that I was pretty upset with them. They said they would definitely get back with me. They called about a day later but by then I was so disgusted with their lack of service and with his rude comment that I did not answer their call and ignored the message they left on the answering machine. At age 50 I was having problems with certain parts of my body where I could just not lose the fat. Being a marfan as well does not help. As I am a heart patient, having any invasive surgery can be risky. Not to mention quite a bit more monitored. I opted to go for "coolsculpting". having read about the procedure and the expected results on line. There would be no cutting or anesthesia needed. And as I was not seeing results in those specific areas with normal diet and exercise. I decided to try it. The areas needed to be worked on were my lower chest (around the nipples), and my belly. Which had been greatly extended because of 7 previous hernia surgeries. Lindsey was extremely helpful in making me as comfortable as possible , and informed me of what to expect during the procedure. And I was easily ready for this. The amount of pain was quite tolerable for me in all 3 instances (Though I must admit I have a very high tolerance for pain from many years of athletic conditioning.). First being my belly. a few months later being my chest. and then finally a few months later for a second attempt at my belly.( As I had mentioned. This are was greatly over extended.) I am very confident with the results as I am able to wear my pants "normally" (because of the previous bulge of the belly , I had to wear my pants "too high up" to keep them from slipping off. My chest also looks significantly better as I no longer look like I have breast tissue in the region of my lower chest. people have commented that I "look better" though the changes were so slow and subtle that they just assumed it was through diet and exercise. And only a tiny handful of friends know the truth about it. I am very pleased with the results, and though I might consider a third round of treatment on my belly. At this point I am going to wait and see till ALL results are in. -

Going into my consultation I was anxious and very much insecure about having to show my body to what was then a stranger. I am typically a worrier so come surgery day I was shocked by how calm I was. I truly think this is a testament to Dr.Yates talent and care. The surgery went smoothly and by the next day I was only experiencing minor discomfort. I am now three weeks post breast augmentation and to say I am happy with my results would be an understatement. EXACTLY what I wanted but some how better. The size of my breast is flattering for my figure, the fullness is perfection and my scares are minor and barely noticeable. My stomach looks great but my breast augmentation has been more than disappointing. I have had to get them redone because they keep falling down out of their pocket. After the second surgery, I was hopeful but could feel the implants sitting low immediately after surgery. Sure enough, 3 months after surgery, they are falling again. If I could give more than 4 stars for Dr. Yates I would. I did research for OVER A YEAR to find a surgeon I loved. Things I loved about my experience: The consultation- I initially had one virtually via email then in person. He does imaging in person then does a computer generated version of how you’ll look with your procedure, which is amazing. The education. This is bigger than maybe most people think it is, he spent a lot of time with me discussing with me my options and why he would or wouldn’t do things, he doesn’t just do things because that’s “how they’re done” or how others do it, he has obviously spent time continually being educated on best practices. Each decision he would make has evidence to support it. He gave me options as a patient but was very thourogh in education about options. Time & care we’re incredible. Dr Yates has a great CRNA & scrub team. Surgery day went great & I was mobile that day and felt fine, I feel my recovery was so rapid and smooth because of how great my surgery went. I had all the medications I needed & I received a text from him the next day to check on me. I could text him with any questions I had which was incredible, I’ve yet to have a physician provide that. I could write more but In simple summaries; Dr. Yates is worth every penny & I would recommend him to anyone I am so happy with my results. Thank you Dr, Yates & team!

Surgeon who listens! Dr. Yates was the best! My main concern was to repair my diastasis recti and hernia with a tummy tuck. I met with other surgeons who told me my only options were to either lower my belly button (which I didn’t feel was as feminine) or to also have a vertical incision (which I REALLY didn’t want to do.) Dr. Yates gave me the option of keeping the belly button where it was. The trade off of not having a vertical incision was to not tighten the skin above the belly button as much. I knew he wanted to do the vertical incision because he felt that would give the best result. However, I personally preferred keeping my skin the same above my belly button and not having a vertical scar. (My scars tend to be raised and purple.) I knew the skin BELOW my belly button would still be pulled nice and tight either way. In the end, he went with my wishes. Having a Dr. who listens and values your opinion is sooo important! He also answered my many questions through the communication app. Most importantly, he took away my disappointment by giving me an option no one else had! The staff was also awesome. They were relatable, made you feel comfortable and couldn’t have been any better. Secondly, I am thrilled with the type of anesthesia he uses. (IV sedation) That was a determining factor in picking him. (Aside from him being an awesome person and accommodating with options.????) I can tell a HUGE difference with the IV sedation vs general anesthesia. I don’t feel like my organs are coming back from the dead like with general. (Along with other health concerns with general.) For that alone I’m so happy. My recovery has been great. I am 11 days post surgery and the only thing I took was Tylenol. Each day gets a little easier. I feel like the way my stomach looks is best case scenario and I am very happy! (The lines in the photo are marker and have since washed off.)

I got my breast implants on Feb 2020. I am 4.11feet tall, 93 pounds, slim body frame. When I went to see Dr. Yates I told him I wanted my breast not to be too big. I was 32A cup, Dr. Yates gave me a C cup. My healing process was good and my incisions about 2 (small!! :). Dr. Yates texted and checked on me via text during the first two weeks of recovery to make sure I was okay. I’m planing on getting my breast done again because I firmly believe if I’m size D or double D I could still look really good. I wear double size Victoria Secret push up bras which gives me a DD cup and I look great. I will get them done again with Dr. Yates because he did a great job! I got the mentor memory gel smooth round high profile implants 250cc’s and that gave me a C cup. I hope this is helpful, I wish someone wrote this review before I got my surgery so I knew then that I could have gone to 370cc. My recovery took a bit longer. I was able to use my arms after 3 weeks with no pain, I want not able to lift more than 25 pounds of arm workout or do push ups for 1 years and 3 months. Everyone’s recovery is different mine took longer because my body does not handle pain too well. I loss a bit of sensitivity in my nipples. My implants were inserted from underneath my breast (bottom part of the breast).Best luck to your in your breast implants surgery. The results are very enjoyable ❤️

I just finished with my second breast augmentation with doctor Yates. What brought me to YY was seeing his photo gallery with awesome before and after a, literally every single one he took the before from not ideal to being absolutely beautiful and more full with out creating any of the problems people associate with breast augmentation. The result I had the first time was exactly what I asked for. He made them perfect for what I wanted at the time. He has a lovely office with knowlegable staff and is great at answering questions. He was very patient with me and took all the time I needed in consultation and never rushed me while offering me his expert advise while making sure I got what I wanted both times. I came back for to replace my implants for larger more noticeable ones because my ideal changed and he worked with me to get the size I wanted while creating a lovely non plastic looking shape and feel. He is very interested in creating beautiful estheticaly pleasing breast instead of just shoving an implant in your chest. He has a great eye and pays huge attention to detail and any sort of potential problems. He is an artist as well as a surgeon. My first augmentation was so natural looking and very beautiful. I went through almost no pain, a few hours after the surgery I was feeling pretty normal except my chest felt like my muscles had had the most intense work out ever with the soreness and tightness following intense weight lifting or exercise. The second was just as painless! I am so happy and think he is the most incredible surgeon for this procedure. He is absolutely trustworthy because of his talent, knowledge and skill.

I had an abdominoplasty done by Dr. Yates on 6/26/14. I live in Houston so I communicated with Sandy, his patient coordinator. She set the bar high as she was quick to communicate, very helpful with information, and easy to talk to. I am from Washington but travel from state to state for my job and had several in person consultations from Washington to California to Oklahoma & Texas before my research brought me to Dr. Yates in Utah. His website is user friendly, he posts the range of prices for his procedures, he has before & after pictures, as well as information for the person seeking facts. I set my appointment several times before I finally got my time off approved, Sandy was very patient with me as well as encouraging. I had my consult with Dr. Yates on the 25th. He was matter of fact, intuitive, and answered my barrage of questions. The thing I appreciated the most was that he was very upfront with me and wanted to know what my expectations were. I have my name tattooed across my stomach and he was able to make it look better than it did before while I was told in other consultations that it didn't matter or would be distorted. The nurses and anesthesiologist were the best in the business (I have had 5 C-sections). The last thing I remember is Lindsay smiling at me with her beautiful blue eyes and the anesthesiologist singing. My recovery has been quick and painless. I still have the drain tubes in but it is part of the process. The thing that sets Dr. Yates apart from the 5 or 6 other places I went is that he talked to me on a level that I understood and felt comfortable & confident with, the communication is on point, the Dr.'s office is nice, the staff is amazing, and Dr. Yates took the time like I was the only patient in the world. Dr. Yates performed a breast augmentation on me 3 weeks ago and I almost wish I needed more surgery so I could keep going back. The initial consult was not only informative but FUN! Dr. Yates offers 3D imaging so you can see the selected implant and size on your actual body to help you make a final decision. He explained what sizes, implants and profile would best fit my anatomy and why, went over my personal goals, lifestyle and measured me. He had a good amount of available dates that weren’t too far out and offered an awesome incentive to book within a week of my consult. My pre-operative appointment was just as fun, they had me try the sizers on again to confirm size and implant, measured me again, went over all pre and post op instructions and prescribed me the medications I would need to bring with me the day of surgery. Surgery went SO WELL! He performs surgery in his amazing clinic, it was private and very comfortable. He doesn’t typically use general anesthesia which was amazing for me because I was able to wake up easily and didn’t have any nausea after at all. They have been so attentive and quick to respond to any questions or concerns I may have had. Dr. Yates did a BEAUTIFUL job, I’m in love with the results so far. He’s very knowledgeable, patient, kind, he’s an actual artist, has an amazing eye for what will yield the most beautiful results... he’s the best of the best in Utah (or in any state for that matter!!). 10/10 would recommend and if I ever do need anything else done, I would without a doubt be returning. I had coolsculpting done back in August ..... the staff and team were super nice which it why I’m giving this 2 stars .. but WOW .. what a waste of 1050 ! Mind you I’m not lazy person I work out all the time but had some fat in the lower stomach I wanted taken care of so I paid for two spots in the V shape by where my c sections were ... I saw ZERO difference after the months . Like nothing at all changed and again my diet and workouts are great ... if I changed it was due to that not the coolsculpting. Also no one called to follow up on how it went like they said they would because I would have told them this myself . I honestly wish they did refunds cause I totally want my money back . I’m now going to do lipo. So people don’t do this just get lipo and save yourself the disappointment .

At my first “mommy makeover” consult appointment I was nervous about picking the correct size implant for my body type as well as deciding on a lift vs. no lift. I also had questions and was scared about my post op scaring with the tummy tuck. I’ve had a breast augmentation operation with DR. Yates early 2017. Everyone in the office was nice to me and made me believe that everything will be great and if there is a problem it will be fixed right away. As a result one breast shape came out deformed and by no means symmetrical to the other, it appears as it is sagging down, perhaps due to improper lifting. I was also left with significantly larger scars that I was made to believe based on my communication with the doctor and the supporting staff. During my follow up appointment (post surgery) with Dr. Yates I’ve expressed my dissatisfaction with my operation and noted the reasons stated above, he refused to take action or offer any kind of rectification. I felt helpless and cried. I responded by reminding Dr. Yates that he promised me to fix my breasts before the surgery if something went wrong, he changed the tone of his voice and attributed the issue to my anatomy and claimed that he cannot fix it. I asked him why I was not notified of the “anatomy problems” prior to the operation, he brushed it off and said that it was a miscommunication. I visited another doctor after that appointment and was told that I have no issues with my anatomy and that breasts can be fixed and made symmetrical. I blame myself for allowing myself to be easily swayed by a crafty doctor that knows how to make a sale. The purpose of this review is to let people know of my experience with this doctor and that they can make their decisions accordingly.

I have spent alot of time and money working with surgery from hair transplants, lipo, reconstructive surgery from an auto accident, as well as fat grafting to add symmetry and repair to nerve damage from a health condition. In which i am a male but have also had Dr. yates perform a breast reduction on me. I was not huge so I didnt need alot of reconstructive surgery. You dont grow more fat cells they simply enlarge or contract, so with augmentation you can take them where you dont want them and put them where you do. I have had over 4 different procedures with Dr. Yates, and he has been my go to surgeon for more than a decade now! I can't wait to trust my wife, friends and family in his talented hands.

Though my meetings with Dr. Yates did feel a little rushed, I still felt that he was very personable and professional. I didn't have much time to get to know him and yet I still trusted that he would do a phenomenal job. I am very pleased with my results at this point, only being 2 days post-op and the recovery has been going very well so far. He must not have been overly intrusive because the pain has been very manageable even taking lower dosages of meds. I cannot wait to see the results when the implants settle.. then I think they will be absolutely perfect! I have done a surgery this year with lifting and implants into my both breasts. As a result my breasts are same way soggy but two sizes bigger. As a result I just got huge scary scars on my breasts. On my next after surgery appointment I told Dr. Yates that I hate my new breasts and they just look bigger and soggy, on that statement he reply to me that lifting does not include a skin removal but only moving nipple up. I told him that I am a nurse and I know what is lifting, after that he stopped to be nice and became nervous. He told me that he is going to take a year for research how to fix my breasts. I love Dr Yates work Two years ago I got a mommy makeover I finally got my belly back and after breastfeeding 4 kids my breast were definitely looking sad. Now they look like they did before of course I went bigger ???? Three weeks ago I went back because although my front was looking awesome my back side was looking flat no matter how many squats I did my love handles weren't leaving so I got fat grafting from my upper and lower back and put into my butt, I also got some more work on my side to give me the smallest waist possible. ???? I cannot say enough of how awesome Dr. Yates and his staff are! I was looking to have a breast augmentation for many years now. I always felt scared to go under general anesthesia, and it was the main reason why I never pursued the surgery. I moved to Utah from back east Summer 2019, and decided to research surgeons. Upon reading reviews for Dr. Yates, I immediately set up my consultation. He was everything I hoped a surgeon would be: knowledgeable, caring, professional, humorous, and honest. The fact that the office used local anesthesia and deep sedation and not general anesthesia was even more of a selling point. Dr. Yates answered all of my questions and quelled all of my fears, so much so that I didn't even shop around other plastic surgeons. I knew I had found what I wanted after one visit. Leading up to my surgery, Dr. Yates and his awesome Patient Coordinator, Lindsay, answered any questions I had via the Symblast app rather quickly...like within the hour. After COVID resulted in the delay of my surgery in March 2020, I was able to reschedule on the first day Dr. Yates was back open in May 2020 (Dr. Yates made very sure to get in me ASAP, due to my crazy summer race schedule). On the day of my surgery, I was still a bit nervous over the anesthesia part, however talking to the nurse, Nancy, the fabulous anesthesiologist, Glenn, and to Dr. Yates one more time before surgery, I felt ready to go and totally comfortable. Dr. Yates uses a rapid recovery method as well, which ensures both safety and comfort before, during, and after the procedure. Before I knew it, the surgery was over (best sleep ever!!) and I was in recovery for about 30 minutes or so. Post surgery, I never had to take any of my narcotics...I only took 800mg of Advil every 8 hours. I was only had slight soreness the 2nd and 3rd day, but the pain was very minor. Dr. Yates made sure to check up on me the next day and again, was so quick to answer any questions I had via the App, even on the weekends! Definitely check out his Instagram page, as there are so many helpful (and witty!) videos and posts to make you feel connected to Dr. Yates and his team, and even more assured that Dr. Yates is the best plastic surgeon in Utah. I never had any nausea, vomiting, tiredness, etc. The entire experience was so great from consultation to surgery, to three month check in, that I am going back for abdominal liposuction in a few weeks!! I am so so pleased with my results and from the incredible service from Dr.Yates and his team. His bedside manner, 100% honesty, empathy, patient care, experience, professionalism, and personality are all genuine and real, and you will absolutely not be disappointed!! Dr York Yates is an incredible Dr. Right from the first consultation. He asked me lots of questions to make sure he had a good understanding of what I wanted and then took great care with the 3D imaging machine to help me find the right size for my height and stature. He also allowed me to place the implants inside a special bra they had just so I could see what they will look like. I really liked the fake augmented look however still retaining the natural breasts look as well. Dr Yates knew exactly how I wanted it which meant bigger than natural for my size however still allowing my breasts to hang naturally when they relaxed. He made me feel relaxed in my pre-op appointments and made sure I was comfortable with the implant selection several times prior to my surgery date. On the day of surgery he made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable and also let my husband come into the recovery room with me which some Dr's said they would not do. At the follow up appointment he examined my breasts and when I saw them I was so excited with his beautiful work that I could not control my happiness and I cried. He did such an amazing job and fully exceeded my expectations of what I could have even dreamed of. The anesthesiologist was also fantastic. I went to Dr. Yates after reading a few reviews on google. I wish I would have read the ones about breast augmentation. I see many women disappointed (to say the least) with their experience. My breasts are more uneven now after surgery.. I had mine done in December of 2016. I can’t even find a bra that fits with how uneven they are. I paid EXTRA for a breast lift that would “even” them out. He also convinced me that putting two significantly different size implants would be the best route for me. I trusted him and my breast with the smaller implant that had the lift as well hangs lower than before!! At my post op appointments I made these concerns VERY clear to him and he told me basically that I was wrong and they looked fine. Also very unprofessional, once I voiced my concerns about the sizes being too noticeably different to his nurse she met with him outside the door and told him my concerns before he entered the room and they laughed! I decided to let him look, didn’t say a word and left in tears. I was so embarrassed and felt so stupid. I wish I could post a photo to show the poor breast augmentation. I also read a review that he told a patient a breast lift just lifted the nipple. What he told me was it would remove the extra fat tissue in my right breast to bring it up to match the left. So which is it Dr. Yates?

Dr. Yates is great, and everyone in his office is really profesional and nice. The reason I’m giving it one star is because I’m reviewing the Miradry procedure (which does not work). I got the procedure done in May and I still sweat the same. It is advised to get a second procedure and even a third but I don’t feel very inclined to keep spending money when I saw no change after the first procedure. I wouldn’t recommend getting this procedure since it’s very pricey and the results are not guaranteed. For everything else, Dr Yates is your guy!

WHY Dr. York Yates, and WHY Emsculpt? I’ve done a fair amount of research into this new body sculpting service called Emscuplt. My research into this new body sculpting technology, was due to a back injury I suffered a couple years back. You see, I herniated my L4 & L5 via kickboxing, and ever since then, my core has been weak. Performing typical core exercises, as well as squats, deadlifts, and any form of twisting has been difficult, and sometimes painful. I became sick of my situation, as many give in to surgery or live with the pain and limitations. This wasn’t going to be the path or options for me. I knew I had to find a solution and I knew there had to be an option on the market, and then I found: Emscuplt. Research has shown patients who use this service for four treatments will on average: increase muscle mass, muscle definition, and over all muscle strength. I’m 10 sessions in, as I’ve treated my abs, my triceps, my quads. My strength is way up, along with my muscle mass and definition. I’ve enjoyed the results of this service so much, and a bigger part of the enjoyment is working with Tori. She is fantastic, and really goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and enjoy your time, enough though each session is only 30 minutes or less :)

I feel that Dr. Yates truly cared about me and really wanted me to be happy with my results so he listened to me and didn't try to convince me to do something I didn't want. He was there to make me happy and to have the outcomes that I wanted. I had to call his office about a few questions and for scheduling and the staff was excellent in addressing my concerns and getting back to me in a timely manner. I think Dr. Yates is a very skilled surgeon! I had heard great things about him before I went to him, but now I can confirm all those great things. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Yates and his staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Yates to anyone considering doing any procedure that he offers!

I recently had a remove and replace breast implant procedure done by Dr. Yates. I am very happy with the results and would strongly recommend going here. I was really nervous when one of my breast had deflated after 16 years. I had no idea where go and who I would want to do my procedure. I did lots of research and read tons of reviews. I was very impressed with the reviews I read about Dr. Yates and I was also drawn by the fact he was so close to my home (remembering how much pain I was in after the first time). My procedure was breast implant removal. I had a consult with Dr. Yates to remove and replace my implants with smaller implants. I am a very small frame and felt that the implants (I was a 34 B/C) were bigger than what I wanted. I wear an extra small blouse, but it was always too tight across the front, especially with buttons. A small blouse hangs largely off of my shoulders. I just always felt somewhat matronly. Dr. Yates spent a LOT of time determining and interpreting what it was I really wanted. He told me my implants were small and by replacing them with smaller implants might not make me happy as the smallest ones were not really that much smaller than what I had. He felt that total removal would probably be what I wanted. I had really never even considered this alternative. He explained that through the years my breasts would have developed some fat...I would NOT be flat (in my previous pre-implant life I was a 34AA, almost a AAA), and that it might be exactly the answer that I was looking for. He was EXACTLY right. I had the surgery and it was a breeze. I had no pain or soreness and never needed in pain medication or even ibuprofen. Couldn't be happier! I am now a 34 A/B. Exactly what I wanted. Extra small clothes fit perfectly! I could not be HAPPIER with Dr. Yates! He spent all the time I needed to help me make the decision. HE LISTENS!!! He is a perfectionist. He is extremely professional. He could have just said okay to my request to the smaller implants, charged me much more, and be done with it. I would have not been nearly as happy with the result, and he knew this, mainly because he was really LISTENING to me. I would happily recommend him for anyone looking for any procedure. His staff from the time you walk in the door is top-notch. The wait time is VERY minimal. Everyone is extremely organized and of course most professional. Thank you Dr. Yates and Staff!

Now, fast forward to today...I went back to Dr. Yates for a lift with larger implants, not because I was unhappy with the original surgery, but I had some sag over the implants after some weight loss and gravity and was unhappy with the way they looked. I thoroughly researched the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure -- and doctors who perform it -- before selecting Dr. Yates. Hands down THE BEST doctor for cosmetic surgery. (I have had experience with 2 other surgeons in Utah, one with getting my implants, and another for a tummy tuck. Both of my previous surgeons were not great experiences overall) Procedures I had Dr. Yates do: implant removal, fat grafting in the breast area, and overall give me a good smaller athletic shape without my implants. He also fixed my tummy tuck problems that occurred from a different surgeons mistakes. Both outcomes came out much better than I even expected. Not only did I appreciate the end result of Dr. Yates artistic abilities and attention to detail--immediately I felt comfortable and cared for with the front office staff and his nurses. I was also able to speak honestly and openly with Dr. Yates about ideas, fears, and what my personal needs and priorities were. All of which were respectfully listened to, further discussed, and expertly executed. For the surgery procedure itself I was crazy afraid. I have always struggled with surgery, often having major problems that would keep me in a hospital setting for weeks after even minor procedures. NOT THIS TIME! I'm not sure exactly how they do it there..... but I was home and doing well the day of surgery- no complications. I attribute it to them listening to and professionally addressing ever single fear and personal need I had. All of this WITH exceptional outcomes. Five stars!!!! I am so happy with my breast augmentation. I felt that Dr. Yates did a fantastic job. A year or so ago I emailed out a lengthy list of questions to several doctors in the area. Dr. Yates was the ONLY one who answered my questions and he answered them in great detail. I met with two other doctors in addition to Dr. Yates. The first wanted to put the implants in through my armpit area which I read is a really bad idea. The second doctor told me I needed a lift and that if I didn't get the lift that my nipples would point in funny directions. Dr. Yates said I was borderline in need of a lift but I didn't feel comfortable with it at that point. He gave me the implants without the lift and my nipples are perfect. Dr. Yates gave my his personal number right before the surgery so that I could contact him if I had any problems. In addition, his staff is exceptional and made me feel very comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Yates for breast augmentation. Update: It has been a little over 2 years and I am still as happy with my implants as ever. I have had no issues with them whatsoever and am soooo happy I finally got them.

I had 4 consultations before seeing Dr. Yates, and none of them impressed me enough to schedule my breast augmentation. I had seen so many positive reviews regarding his work, and heard so many women who loved their experience with him and his office. I finally decided I would pay the consult fee and give him a shot. If the fee is holding you back from scheduling, don't let it. I can't imagine having a consult with him and not scheduling the procedure. The fee will then go towards your surgery. At my consult Dr. Yates explained everything excellently and then listened to me while I explained what I had in mind. I have a small frame and was so worried about being too large, and he was the one surgeon that I felt didn't try to convince me I wanted something different. I am three weeks out from having a "mommy makeover" with Dr. Yates, and I couldn't be more happy with my results thus far. I have known that my extreme diastasis recti, and umbilical hernia would need surgical repair for nearly 10 years now. But since I wasn't done having kids, I waited and waited, and researched and researched. Trust me, that's a long time to do your research. ;) I found Dr. Yates practice about 5 years ago, and after following his practice and thoroughly researching them, I pretty much knew that when I was ready to do the repairs, he would be the person I contacted first. From my initial consultation, I was very pleased with Dr. Yates and his office. My consultation allowed me to ask all my questions about my procedures, get a better understanding of what my results could possibly be, understand costs, etc. I left my consultation well informed. In fact, I really appreciated that Dr. Yates took extensive time to be very realistic about what results I could expect. He even had to hand me some information that was not the greatest to hear, but I really, really appreciated him bringing all possible outcomes up, telling me their pros and cons, and leaving me to ultimately make the decision as to how I would like to proceed. Once booked, right before my procedure, I started kinda freaking out. Dr. Yates staff was so very kind to help me through my fears and anxieties without ever making me feel like I was a weirdo (which I'm still pretty sure I was!). They reassured me that everything I was feeling was very normal. Just know that if you have questions or concerns, even up to the last minute, Dr Yates and his staff are there for you. They offered me additional consults, communicated through email and phone, and were very supportive until all my fears had subsided. Surgery day went off without a hitch. Before surgery, Dr Yates had drawn his lines on me, and at one point drew I line that he said was "ideal, but most likely not obtainable", and then drew the another line that he felt was completely obtainable, and explained the difference between the two, his reasoning, etc. When I woke up from surgery, the only thing I really remember from his consult (I was groggy) was him telling my husband and I that he had obtained the ideal. So, you know, that rocked! But again, I really, really appreciated him managing my expectations beforehand, and helping me to feel well informed about my possible results. My recovery has been great. I geared myself up for the worst. I knew that these procedures meant I had a long road of recovery before me. I'm happy to say that it really was not bad. I wouldn't actually say I was ever "in pain." I think a better way to describe it is "uncomfortable". And that uncomfortable feeling lasted about a week. I'm only three weeks out, and I still try to take it easy, but I really do feel great. I think Dr Yates' skill and use of industry leading techniques and products has a lot to do with that. I couldn’t ask for a better recovery so far. My results thus far have exceeded my expectations. I am so, so happy that I went through with the procedures and that I trusted Dr. Yates to perform them. I have said more than once in these past three weeks, "If this is the best it gets, I'm so very satisfied!" Three weeks out is still VERY early on in the total recovery process, and I've been assured my results will only continue to get better from here. If you are considering surgery, I would highly suggest adding Dr. Yates as a doctor you choose to consult with.

This has been the most amazing experience I’ve ever had with a surgeon. Dr. Yates is the kindest and most comforting person I’ve been around. Especially in the medical field. I was pretty positive my body wasn’t happy with my implants (done from a different surgeon) for 6 years I had weird reactions and horrible pain. As dramatic as it sounds some days I felt I was on my death bed. I couldn’t leave my bed with horrible pain, headaches, and the list goes on. He went over the risks and studies of those implants and also told me I could get the same results if not better with different, more cost friendly, implants. I decided to go with the ones he suggested and I LOVE them! He did an amazing job with a small incision under each breast that’s not very noticeable and I’m only 4 weeks post op. His staff is awesome as well. You’re greeted with a friendly smile as soon as you walk in the door. They also helped me a lot with questions I had prior to surgery. I would send them an email and they would respond within a few hours at the most. If they didn’t have an answer for me, they provided me with Dr. Yates email and he would answer within minutes. Even after surgery I had Dr. Yates phone number in case I had any questions or concerns. Their anesthesiologist is also amazing. I told him I was nervous about the anesthesia and when they took me back to the surgery room, he was talking and singing to me like he’s known me for some time. He made me feel totally comfortable. Dr. Y and his staff are superb. They exceeded all of my expectations and my breasts look amazing! The staff was extremely kind and professional. This was my first cosmetic surgery, so I had some general concerns but they made the process more than easy. Dr Yates was attentive and available for all of my questions leading up to the surgery and even after. And I had a lot of questions. He listened to what I described and the look that I was going for. One thing, I especially appreciated was his ability to translate my wishes into realistic outcomes in the pre-op appointment. I am 5'3" and 150 lb and he made sure they weren't too large so that my body would be balanced. I am EXTREMELY happy with the results and wish I had done this for myself sooner. I went with 415 cc silicone unders (high profile). They've dropped and fluffed so naturally and filled in where my breasts were deflated due to weight loss - and it's only been less than two months. I was 12 the first time I asked my mom for a breast augmentation. Silly, I know, but; all of my friends were developing and I just wasn't. As a result I was heavily picked on, I was tall, skinny, and flat as a pancake. When I finally started to develop my hips developed a lot better than my breasts. I was absolutely convinced I looked like a pear and hated it! However, I did modeling and beauty pageants as a teen and that greatly helped my self-esteem, yet still; I wasn't 100% comfortable with my appearance. Oddly enough, I felt the best about my appearance when I was nursing my daughter, despite the "mommy pooch." I was informed after I had my daughter that I had developed diastatis recti (the separation of abdominal muscles) and despite my best efforts I would always have the mommy pooch. My daughter was 10 when I woke up and decided that I was tired of hating what I saw when I looked in the mirror. I was tired of wearing baggy clothes or control top yoga pants all the time. After speaking with several cosmetic surgeons I decides to see Dr. York Yates. He, and his staff, are absolutely amazing.
