I recently had a plastic surgery procedure done by Dr. Youn. I’m actually almost three weeks post-op. He was referred by two different friends who DIDN’T use him. I followed and researched him for nearly two years. I followed the process which was simple and professional. I was never disappointed throughout the process. This review is for Paula, the Aesthetician at Youn's office. I've seen her a few times now and it's been a pleasant experience each time. I've had medium depth Face peels and she's very careful, knowledgeable, and professional. She will take as much time as you need to answer questions as well. This office has a face cooling machine, which is a fan that blows cold air, this greatly helps reduce discomfort during chemical peels. Many offices do not have this machine, they just have a normal fan, which doesn't have the same effect. Also, even with just the 1 chemical peel performed, Jessner, my acne completely disappeared and stay that way. I haven't had any acne problems and it's been over a year.

This is not to discredit or disrespect Dr Youn and his staff, it’s to share my experience and let others know and to introduce my frustration in hopes the staff can learn from their mistakes. I had my lips done January 2018 by a young lady named Devin. She did one full syringe and told me she would focus on my top lip that day and then told me to come back for the bottom. She told me she can use half a syringe for free (since she knew the distributor) on my bottom lip since she wasn’t able to touch it that day. I just had to come back in 2 weeks! I asked Devin before I left if there would be an issue if I got a massage, she said no issue. I left and like 2 hours later I go and get a massage. BIG MISTAKE. After my massage I got up and my lip was ENORMOUS (I say lip because she only did the one) it looked so bad I was terrified. The bruising got worse and my lip was not going down. I tried calling Dr Youns office even though it was after hours and it sent me to this operator who had no clue who Devin was. She told me “Dr Youn only speaks to patients HE saw.” I told her my concern and she said let me reach out to him. She called me back and said that Dr Youn will call you when he can. He called me a few hours later and said to come in tomorrow. By the next day the swelling went down and everything was fine but I still went to see him. When I told him I got a massage he didn’t think that was the reason. He thought I had an allergic reaction. But I told him it wasn’t itchy or anything and they look great. He said if things feel good to me then he’s happy too. (Looking back I should’ve known that wasn’t the smartest thing to do but that’s why I asked a healthcare professional and went with her answer.) A week goes by and I’m preparing for my next appointment with Devin that’s scheduled the following week to do my bottom lip. Devin calls me and says that they had switched the distributor and that it wouldn’t be free anymore. I was so annoyed because if I knew I wasn’t going to get my bottom lip done then I would’ve told her to distribute the product evenly the first time. But she insisted that she could get it for free. So I left with one lip done. 3 months go by and my lip returns to normal. My body consumed it faster then I’d like but before getting your lips done that’s a risk you have to take. So fast forward to present time. I saved enough money and I called and said I would like to return and get my lips done. It was a semi pleasant experience and we all left on a good note everyone was happy no problems. (So I thought) when I called the receptionist sent me straight to Devin. Which was odd. Devin told me that she and Dr Youn agreed that I shouldn’t be a patient anymore because of my “allergic reaction” they didn’t want to be responsible for that. I told them that it wasn’t an allergic reaction and that I was fine. but the part that confused me was, if they were so concerned about my well being, why not tell me when they made this decision. I could’ve gone somewhere else and got them done. This is what prompted me to write this review because they made me feel like they only care about them selves. They were trying to protect themselves. They didn’t care about me. They should’ve called to tell me their concern not wait to dismiss me as a patient when I called. I was willing to give my business and they handled themselves very unprofessionally. To the people still reading, (LOL) there is a silver lining to this mess. I found someone amazing, someone who heard all of this and they were SHOCKED that another clinician would act this way. Her name is Dianne from Skin Boutique. She right away said the reason it happened was because of the massage and that all clinicians should know that. She explained that all of my blood rushed to my head and that’s why it puffed up like that. She was nice enough to listen to my concerns and actually do BOTH OF MY LIPS. I’m so happy I found her.

I rated my experience 3 star because the results are too early to make a final rating. I had Botox treatments, 2 of them and my first filler treatment. Botox takes 2 weeks to see results. I didn’t see any results with my first treatment so I made another appointment. During my first appointment I was told that the wrinkles/creases on either side below the outside of my mouth need filler because Botox wouldn’t do anything and filler will plump up the creases and they would appear smooth. It has been 6 days since my second Botox treatment which the technician increased the amount of Botox and I still don’t see results. I need to wait the full 2 weeks to state my opinion. I had the filler done the same day. Filler gives you immediate results. In my case I had swelling and bruising which is normal. It is difficult for me to see the full results because of the bruising. It’s has been 6 days since the filler was injected. I can begin to see a difference. That’s encouraging. The technician told me that it’s difficult to fill all the creases because of the filler being injected and the swelling. She did tell me that I may need to come back to have more filler because all the areas may not have gotten filler injected. As of today (6 days after filler injections) I feel I need more filler in some spots that still have noticeable creases. I’m pleased with the results so far. Both of my technicians we extremely knowledgeable, caring, took their time, explained everything about the Botox and filler Injections. They treated me with the upmost respect. Going to Dr Youn who is a plastic surgeon gave me reassurance I would get quality care. I have always believed in the saying “you get what you pay for”. I will rate and submit another review when and if more filler injections are possible and if the Botox has worked.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Anthony Youn for the past 7 years and I am so glad that I choose him as my Doctor. In the world of plastic surgery you find a lot of plastic surgeons who have one thing on their mind and that is financial gain. As for Dr. Youn financial gain is not his top priority your health is his top priority. I appreciated the extra time and transparency that Dr. Youn brought to the table when ever I considered getting a procedure done because his suggestions were based off of what’s best for me not just in the now but the future as well. When looking into plastic surgery as people on the outside we just want to look a certain way however we may not take into account the many different factors that could either make our outcome successful long-term, successful short term or not successful at all. Dr. Youn is honest and straight forward when it comes to all outcomes and as a patient of his I am really grateful for that. In addition to Dr. Youn his support staff Renee, Megan, and Jenny are all amazing ladies. They are reliable, professional and relatable. I felt so comfortable around them and they were always there when I needed them and that means a lot. So if you want someone who’s going to put you first and what’s best for your health I would recommend Dr. Anthony Youn!

I had been a frequent (4 years) patient at Dr Youn's office, when I decided to get a consultation for a tummy tuck. I waited for a year and a half for my appointment. I left that day feeling old, fat and discouraged. Dr Youn questioned why someone of my age (54) at the time, would consider such a surgery. I have never forgotten how rude and arrogant he was to me. He actually pointed out a young blond female to me that he said was more of a candidate than I was. I have since then found a highly recommended female plastic surgeon that has not excluded me due to my age, and apparent lack of youth.

I recently had surgery to have my old implants Removed and replaced because they had been recalled because of dangerous potential health issues. I may not have ever even found out about the recall because the surgeon that put them in never contacted me and years and already gone bye that could have been a major disaster by not addressing it sooner. My sister came in for a consultation and he alerted her about this recall and potential danger if ignored. There was extensive scar tissue and it was a much more complicated and longer surgery and Dr. Yoon did a fantastic job with my sister. After meeting me in the recovery area and with the knowledge of what he had just seen and how bad it was Dr. Yoon immediately got me in and scheduled for surgery where normally I would’ve maybe had to wait a year. I was not scared at all and had a full face and Dr. Yoon and he spent hours meticulously making sure that he removed as much scar tissue and gave me a chance at not having any cancer developed or any other dangerous health repercussions that I most likely would’ve had had he not figure it out that our particular implants were recalled. On every visit made me feel like I was a VIP patient or the only one that they had. After the surgery the directions were perfect and they made themselves available if anything were to happen any questions and Dr Young personally called a couple days later and sent a nice gift just to check on me. Position is so professional but call me you don’t feel at all nervous because of the way he prepares you for surgery and you know that he cares and will do his best work for you. Clear and whenever I had a question or needed follow up the staff immediately get you in in the entire office is one of the best experiences I’ve had with the plastic surgeon or any medical doctor. Different from other doctors I had gone to was the preop vitamin regimen that he put you on at first I was thinking you know what difference in this really make. Surgery which I was so prepared for a brutal recovery because I had had the surgery before on day two and even on day one I was flabbergasted at how fast I was recovering and healing and it was not hard at all I was in pain the first day but never to where I couldn’t stand it I even wanted to get up walk around watch TV I just couldn’t believe how fast I recovered due to his caring enough to look at the entire house of me and to address how important it is to prepare your body. Seizures and had never had anyone even recommend this type of regimen and to this day I still take all the vitamins and where my hair previously had pretty much stopped growing and I had extensions I do not have those in people always ask me why my hair is so healthy and is it my real hair and it is. Products from his line for my face and I will continue using his products forever an ad and change as he recommends and he is the only plastic surgeon I will ever go to and I just so appreciate what he’s done for me and his staff and I would only recommend him.

I left a review about my experience dealing with Dr, Anthony Youn's office on a website. I received phone call this morning and the lady was demanding me to take down the review. So I asked her did I not tell the truth, then she did not answer it but threatened me by saying Dr Youn won't see me only if I take down the review from that website. Really? that is how you get 4.9 starts? what is the point of reviews? is that for you to improve? I would take down my review only if she was not demanding or threadening me or she did not give me a bunch of contradicted excuses. everyone makes mistake, why would you just say Yes, I should've done this. Lady, you are just complicating this problem. Updated after the owner responded above review which is the second review. The first review I wrote is on other website The person I was talking about on my previous review was a lady who works in your office. So logically, You - Dr Youn, did not threaten me is true, but she did. Another truth here - Dr Youn did not see me. I was told by HER that I can see the Dr only if I take down the first review. The first review was about she couldn't schedule an appointment for me at 4 pm on Friday but asked me to call her back next week. I called again and it literally took 3 mins. so I was wondering why I had to call back again. I have recorded the conversation not from the beginning tho. But you can still clearly hear she said " Dr Youn won't see you unless you take down the review........." I don't think that is a big deal, I recorded it only because it is ridiculous. but if you really think it is necessary. I don't mind to send you. What you responded here is true, but you ignored the majority of truth.

I had consultations with two doctors before selecting Dr. Youn. I needed lower Blepharoplasty done to both eyes. Nearing the age of 70 I was explained the possible issues by Dr. Youn. He was honest. He suggested one step at a time to see if I would need any further surgery if wrinkles came as a result of the first surgery. His team loaded me up with the pre and post nutritional vitamins that I would need to take before and after surgery. I followed all of their instructions. I knew the Arnica pills I was given would work healing miracles. I was pleasantly surprised at the attention I was given by his Staff and Dr. Youn after the surgery. Both called shortly after the surgery to check on me. The nice get well package that was delivered to me was a pleasant surprise and made me feel that they cared about me as a patient. After 3 weeks all bruising and swelling was gone and I had no wrinkles, so no needed second procedure. My cousin said I looked like I did in college. I felt God sent me to him and I am glad I listened. I had to wait 4 months for my consultation but it was worth the wait. I wish I could give Dr. Youn 10 stars.

Dr Youn is very professional, caring, and thorough. I had a lot of anxiety about having my ruptured implants removed. He reassured me and made me feel confident he would take care of me and remove everything. He was not even the surgeon who placed them. The procedure went well with minimal scarring and pain. He is more expensive than other surgeons in the area, but in his case you get what you pay for. I would rather pay more for quality care and to have a highly regarded surgeon. Spend the extra money to use him. I will admit I was not impressed with the girls who work out front or the girl who helped me with billing. There was some confusion with insurance and the billing girl was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The girls out front were just cold and unwelcoming. However, I don’t think it’s fair to judge a surgeon from office staff and good staff is hard to find.

Hello , my name is Jasmine Achkar. I set an appointment to see Dr Anthony Youn a couple years ago and seen him on September 11 2017 for a rhinoplasty. I waited a year and a half. I was very disappointed to learn that Dr Youn does not do rhinoplasty on black woman. The Dr told me himself from my last name he assumed I was another ethnicity. And asked me have I ever seen any black woman on his website for rhinoplasty. So I wrote a very short review saying how disappointed and hurt I was ???? But I was emailed and kindly asked to take the email down ,so I did. But now after reading other reviews I should have kept it up just to let woman of color know .This is my truth and my experience. It crushed my spirt and brought me to tears .I felt very uncomfortable in my own skin , hurt, and disappointed.
