The office staff is super friendly and Dr. Schousen is an angel. We were just in Tahoe for the weekend and hope not to need a doctor during our vacation again, but if we do, I'll know who to ask for. Update: I wrote this review after we got back from the office. A day later - on a Saturday - Dr. Schousen called me to check how my son was doing.:)

Tahoe Forest overall is a great hospital. The ER has done amazing things for us as well as the Obgyn. Unfortunately pediatrics leaves a lot to be desired. We have had a couple scares with our newborn and attempted to get advice from any doctor there and they did not return our calls. Twice! They can be a bit rude at the front desk as well and won’t help out with anything beyond routine care. It’s really not that hard to be a warm and empathetic person, particularly when working with cute little babies. We’ve had much better results in Reno and of course, Stanford. As the only game in town, we’re hoping they make improvements, particularly with regards to customer service.

We were in for a routine visit to establish care and get a referral. Could not have been more unhappy with the way the office staff handled the process. Now what should have been easy has turned into a nightmare of paperwork.
