I highly recommend Dr. Wulc – he is an artist and a perfectionist. He performed a mid-face and brow lift, upper and lower bleph, ptosis, laser resurfacing under the eyes, and filler liposcupture. It sounds like a lot! But, the results were exceptionally natural. He delivered on my goal which was a “refreshed” appearance. I had minimal to negligible discomfort following the procedure. I was reaching a point when I knew I would probably be approved for eyelid surgery, so I did extensive research to see what doctor I would feel comfortable with and trust to do the surgery. As a board certified opthamologist and with glowing reviews, Dr. Allan Wulc was the plastic surgeon I knew I wanted even though he was more than an hour away from me. After my first consultation , I let him know i was experiencing problems with night time driving and that another opthamologist had suggested that I have cataract surgery. Dr. Wulc stayed after hours to give me a thorough eye exam and felt that I was not ready for cataract surgery but that he wanted me to go back to the doctor that had done lasik surgery on me ten years prior to make sure everything was right with my eyes before he performed eyelid surgery. That was when I knew I found the right surgeon. I got the green light from my lasik surgeon, who told me I would be in wonderful hands with Dr. Wulc to have the eyelid surgery. I went back to Dr. Wulc and he suggested that I have a brow lift in addition to the eyelid surgery. Dr. Wulc did not push the extra surgery on me, but explained that it would help to maintain the eyelid surgery. Again I did extensive research and felt the brow lift was the right decision. I am now almost 5 months post surgery and cannot tell you how happy I am with my decision. Two of my sisters had eyelid surgery with other surgeons and without the brow lift... they look at me and wish they could have opted for a brow lift as well. Their lifts are already reverting and mine is just getting better and better. Thank you Dr. Wulc... you are are true artist!!!

I saw Dr. Wulc for for correction of botched blethroplasty and thread lift to brows from a plastic surgeon in Bryn Mawr who operated on me to years ago. Prior to that surgery, and before I knew Dr. Wulc, I had interviewed 4 doctors and have seen 2 since the botched surgery. Sincerely speaking, no one has been like Dr. Wulc. I wish I could go back in time to have him do my original blethroplasty. He was only recently recommended to me by Scheie Eye Institute due to the problems I continue to have, and he is markedly different from anyone I have ever seen. I came to him with serious trust issues regarding plastic surgeons, in general, but he is conservative, confident and honest. I think that he really understands who I am and what I want. He easily restored my faith so I could move forward with the corrections. He and his staff have taken amazing care of me, and now I finally feel like I have hope at restoring my face.

Dr. Wulc and his staff are just absolutely wonderful. I had upper eye-lid ptosis, which was corrected 7 years ago (in Sweden) but did not last and I had a horrible experience. Dr. Wulc has been nothing but very professional, informative and competent in correcting my ptosis. During and after the whole process, he has been reassuring and I ended up having only minor bruising and swelling and since he is a perfectionist, he takes his time to make sure it will be better afterwards. The surgical center at Abington added to the wonderful experience and I am no longer scared of surgery or anesthesia. I was very displeased with Dr. Wulc's services. There is no question that he is an expert in the field and is incredibly knowledgeable. However, I don't believe this gives any doctor the right to talk down to you, interrupt you when talking, etc. What makes this more frustrating is that the first time he meets you, he does come across as caring, etc, but it seems as if this is just an act. If you want an expert, then by all means, Dr. Wulc is undoubtedly one, but his bedside manner is seriously lacking.

Many thanks to the amazingly skilled Dr Wulc. He recently operated on my right tear duct. Dr Wulc was able to diagnose & initiate a treatment plan immediately. Breifly, my history was for diagnoses of severe dry eye & I had been suffering with related problems. The ophthalmologist who examined me regularly & on emergent basis had missed detection of the underlying tear duct infection. This lead to many co-pays for office visits as well as costly prescription medications & over the counter drops & ointments. I experienced an episode of Recurrent Corneal Erosion. I can't described how painful that was. This lead me to self referring to a different Ophthalmologist, Dr George. He examined me & knew I needed referral to Dr Wulc for his surgical specialty. Thank you Dr George! Under the stellar care provided by Dr Wulc, my issues were identified. He is compassionate in the care he provides. He is confident in explaining expected outcomes and explains the care plan clearly to the patient & family. Every aspect of my experience has been excellent and exceeds expectations. The fact that he maintains five board certifications and specializes in eyes makes me way more comfortable using him for anything around my eyes and face. I also saw that he has and continues to author so many articles for facelift and fillers (i looked him up!) and continues to lecture nationally. This is a great sign. Academic as well as human: Dr. Wulc listens and has a vision for one's appearance one cannot even see oneself! He helps guide his patient to see the aging in the face but uses the most subtle techniques and the least invasive alternatives to improve appearance over time. The surgery techniques he uses also do not involve pain after surgery. Recovery was easy and painless due to the special block he uses with his anesthesia doc. He called me daily and was completely available to me after surgery showing he really cared. Also with injections he knows how to use fillers and botox in ways no other doctor seems to use. Its never over done - no duck lips or weird surprised faces. The staff is supportive, responsive and always listens and supports. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Wulc and his staff.
