I’m W. Doctor Larsen did my top surgery, and I could not be happier--I had extreme chest dysphoria, being transmasculine, and Dr. Larsen helped me so much. It’s now a few months after I’ve had surgery, and I haven’t had any chest dysphoria, and even have had just absolutely joyous moments looking at my chest, as it now feels like me. After the surgery is the most comfortable I’ve felt in my own skin for years. Dr. Larsen was clear and kind through every appointment, pre-op, post-op, and during the operation itself. I remember being mostly out of it when he came in before the operation, already having the preliminary anaesthesia, but despite the fact that most of what he said was being lost at that point, he was still explaining everything he was doing in detail. I received similar treatment from all his staff, all the way through going under. Dr. Larsen was respectful of my gender, and never once misgendered me. He was with me the entire process, helping me get this surgery. His office is very nice, and his staff is fantastic. Lastly, the outcome of the surgery is something I’m just so happy with!! The nipple are even, and it barely looks like they’ve had surgery! The incisions are neat, and thin, and I was given all the detailed instructions to take care of them well. My chest looks great!! I feel so good!!! If you’re looking to get top surgery from Dr. Larsen, I can confidently say that he’s one of the best out there, and you’ll have a good experience with him.

I made an appt a month in advance to see Dr. Larson. His office contacted me multiple times to confirm. I went on the day, checked in, paid my copay and sat down. 30 minutes later the office manager came and told me they had overbooked and the doctor didn’t have time to see me. I got upset, explained that I had to give my job notice for time off for my surgery. That I was in pain and needed to see him. The manager was nice but adamant that the doctor did not want to see me. While trying to get my copay back, I asked why they couldn’t cancel his later appts since was already there and checked in. His nurse/MA Yesenia told me that the doctor sees very important cases and though she was sure my problem was painful, a breast reduction was not an important case. The last part was the reason I decided not even to try to reschedule. If I’m not important enough for a consultation, then who knows how much effort he’d put into my procedure?

i had masculinizing top surgery with him about a week ago and am so happy i chose Dr. Larson! it was important to me to find a surgeon who knew how to work with bigger people rather than requiring that i lose weight, and after seeing the great results from many plus-size people on his website, i felt he would do good work on me. he's very personable, kind, and thorough with answering questions, making sure you're informed and feel prepared. he didn't mention my weight or otherwise indicate it would complicate the surgery for him. his staff are also very responsive and were helpful when we needed to call about something. my result is amazing, and he was so happy for me seeing my chest at the follow-up appointment too! i feel great having gone to a place where the surgeon and the staff really befriend you and personally care about your transition. strongly recommend to anyone considering top surgery, especially if you're looking for good plus-size results!

I was referred to Dr. Larson for a second opinion after my breast reconstruction with expanders failed. My breast skin thinned and scarred so I had concerns about attempting reconstruction again with expanders. The expansion process for me was also painful and limiting my activity. Dr. Larson offered several other options apart or combined with expanders. I opted for DIEP with implants. Throughout the complex reconstruction, Dr. Larson and his team were always available for questions or to address concerns and I felt the level of care was outstanding. Although the process was long for me due to the complexities, Dr. Larson always worked to achieve a good result and was confident in being able to achieve a workable and nice outcome. The staff is super friendly and no one talks down to you. I went to see him for top surgery for a FTM and my results are AMAZING. He did what was best for my body and healing and didn't try to 'upscale me on anything else. Dr. Larson cares for his patients. Literally day of my appointment I call to ask where exactly I need to go cause I got lost and am told that they cancelled my appointment forvtge reason that he is obly taking self pay patients. I need a reduction to reduce my cancer risk but that doesnt matter. So now i have to live even longer in massive amounts of pain because this doctor doesnt want to help anyone but only wants to be greedy and not take a patient with insurance. Way to with being a care provider btw cause that means taking any and all patients. Some people can't afford to pay out of pocket thousands of dollars.

Don't waste your time with other places! This is the place! Guys the night of my surgery I was in so much pain and wasn't sure of all the meds. I didn't want to just keep taking pills lol so I called at about 9pm. Ya'll HE ANSWERED! Not an NP or RN......him! I was in tears and almost forgot why I was calling I was so surprised. He calmed me down and told me everything I could take. Within an hour I was much better. His staff and him are some of the nicest people ever! Best bedside manner I have seen in a long time time and I work in a hospital. His price included all visits and garment. Even when I needed a different garment due to a hook landing on my incision it was no big deal. He also gave me battery operated leg compression devices to prevent blood clots after you go home. Super important as once again I work in health care. After asking around this part is unheard of. I literally can go on and on but seriously this is the best place ever. I'm so grateful for everyone in this office and am so glad and grateful I picked him! I am 4 weeks post op now and healing wonderfully and love my results so far. I had a Tummy tuck, MR and 360 lipo.

I recently had a breast reduction (I’m about three weeks post op) with Dr. Larson, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. Both he and his office staff are friendly and available whenever you need them. They explain things incrementally, so you’re never overwhelmed with information. The office is LGBTQ friendly; I always felt respected and like my concerns were being taken seriously. During the entire process, no one made me feel uncomfortable, and Dr. Larson was receptive to all of my concerns. I never asked for any input on my desired size, so he never gave me unsolicited opinions. I had a lot of questions before, during, and after surgery, and the entire office never made me feel like I was asking too many questions. Overall, I would highly recommend this office and don’t have any negative feedback.

I am almost 48 hours past my breast augmentation Surgery. I was referred by a friend who also saw Dr Larson and highly recommended him. From the first consultation to my first post-op appointment, the whole thing has been amazing. In my first consult, we went over sizing and used the 3-D imaging to really have a good idea on what size and shape would look best. l am a transgender man. I saw Dr Larson for chest masculinization. My consultation was informative and Dr Larson listened to and addressed all of my questions and concerns. We decided together what the best option for me was going to be, taking into consideration what my expectations were for the outcome. I had very large breast and opted for double incision mastectomy with free nipple grafts. Once I was comfortable with my decision, my procedure was scheduled quickly. The surgery center is welcoming and affirming. I was treated with the utmost respect and care. Post operative instructions were clear and easy to follow and I had no complications. I am very happy with my results. I have a masculine chest with minimal scarring and can say that it has literally changed my life for the better. But he was not scared he took me on and I'm so glad he did. I really trust him and I feel that's extremely important for a surgery patient. He's very kind and gentle very personable as well! I have been a patient of Dr. Larson for approximately 3 years. I had a Non-Nipple Sparing Double Mastectomy. With plastic surgeon's prior to Dr. Ethan Larson, I was not happy about the results and was in a lot of Physical pain. My breasts looked as if someone put two square sponges inside, they were very boxy looking. They did not resemble breasts at all, I also had excess skin on the sides of the breasts from the incision, those were painful as well. Dr. Ethan Larson actively listens, treats you with dignity, and will tell you what is reasonable for the best results possible. He is a truly gifted plastic surgeon for Breast Cancer Reconstruction. Dr. Ethan Larson changed out my implants from Silicone to Saline. He did liposuction and fat transfer to my breasts to add more volume and . He removed the dog ear imperfections, and he has done nipple reconstruction. I have had numerous surgeries with him over the past 3 years. Each time the results on my breasts keep getting better. He always has a good plan of treatment for fixing any imperfections or abnormalities. Dr. Ethan Larson truly cares about the results and tries his best to envision the results that a patient wants. I would highly recommend Dr. Ethan Larson to anyone undergoing Breast Cancer reconstruction. When I first saw Dr. Ethan Larson my breasts did not even resemble breasts, they were very deformed, scarred, and simply not pleasant to look at all, now I have barely visible scars, my breasts now look like real breasts. Anytime that I go into surgery with Dr. Larson and his team I know that I will be well taken care of nd his staff always holds themselves to the highest standards of care. I never thought this type of reconstruction was possible. I recently had top surgery with Dr. Larson about 1 month ago. The process up until my surgery date was a little bumpy in regards to my insurance coverage but all fell through and I was about to continue with the surgery. When I first met Dr. Larson he was very attentive, informative, and kind. His staff was extremely friendly, especially Liane, she’s really great! They were all respectful of my pronouns and preferred name. Makes you feel like home. They truly make you feel like you’re in the best hands and want you to get the results you’ve dreamed of. Post op all of the instructions were clear and the end result is better than I could have ever expected. Dr. Larson is a very skilled surgeon and a really cool dude so I would recommend him to anyone in the trans community!

Larson is a joke. I went for an appointment to discuss DIEP reconstruction and he told me he tries to "undersell" this procedure because it takes too much time to do and isn't worth his time. He then went on to tell me my options, including getting two "slabs of plastic" to replace my breasts. He told me the existing skin was not "salvageable" and that the all the skin would be removed. He has no bedside manner, was crass and rude, and I waited almost an hour to be treated so poorly. Don't waste your time with this guy. Many of the reviews seem to be based upon transgender surgeries. He may be great at breast removal but don't even talk to him about reconstruction. Look to a specialist that does this surgery thousands of times, not when it might be convenient for them. You will have to travel out of state to find the necessary specialists but well worth the time and expense to find a specialist in microsurgery that WANTS to do DIEP reconstruction which Larson clearly doesn't. And, everything he told me about losing the skin, not being able to reconnect nerves and more where proven to be false.

T hey make you feel very comfortable and go the extra mile to ensure all the questions(i had many) are answered thoroughly. The operating room they took the utmost care and was made to feel at ease as much as i could. DR Larsen himself, was very informed and of the highest level and could answer all my inquiries. teh level of his detail is exceptional. Now to just wait for the final results to my leg in 6-12 weeks.
