Nurse Jasmine did my treatments and brought a calm, therapeutic energy to the room where she collaborated effortlessly with me to help me achieve my aesthetic goals. As a male I was apprehensive until my wife bought me a package here and then I had to go. I wanted preventative measures for the wrinkles on my forehead. Shelly hooked me up with some Dysport which I think is similar to Botox? I have to say the results showed already after 3-4 days, 2 weeks out and I had no facial wrinkles, yet didn't look like some maniac with a plastic face. Very impressed!

Overall: Very Disapointed. Dont waste your money, I wish I could get a refund. Service payed for: Microdermabrasion #1 the actual microdermabrasion done with the device was sub par. the setting was too low and it was too short of a treatment window. It was not actually a REAL microdermabrasion service. It was a quarter microdermabrasion service with a bunch of crappy products and a half decent massage. This is NOT what microdermabrasion is supposed to be. #2. The skincare line they make is garbage. I0pppts loaded with crappy cheap and skin damaging ingredients and preservatives. I know my ingredients really well. dont waste your money. when the lady left the room i peaked at the ingredients lists on the products she had been using in the session and was disapointed, and it was their in house brand! #3 a massage should NEVER be considered a wrinkle reduction method or treatment. wrinkles from sun damage happen for a few reasons. 1. it can break down dna 2. burn or dehydrate surface layers 3. cause facial muscles to contract and stiffen in contracted positions. now you might think number 3 means a facial massage is good right? wrong. the only kind of facial massage good for anti aging is one that doesnt stretch the skin. stretching and pulling on skin creates more wrinkles then it solves. if you are worried about muscles contracting, practice facial relaxation techniques that dont require someone to pull your skin off in the process. it may feel relaxing but stretching skin = more wrinkles. trust me. if your paying for this you might have well better spent that money on botox, which wont cause wrinkles and relax your facial muscles for months straight. All this was good for was a massage and i didnt even pay for one. it was supposed to be a proffesional microdermabrasion, which it was not. 1/5.

I could say that is single-handedly the best thing I've ever spent $150 on. I could say that the ambiance is beautiful right from the you enter the building. I booked a last minute appointment to receive Botox and filler treatment. Having never been to External Affairs before, I was a bit apprehensive, but the way they tried to accommodate my last minute appointment needs was so professional, I thought I’d give them a shot. They moved some things around and got me in an hour within my appointment request (as I said I rarely get an afternoon off and wasn’t sure when I’d be able to book again). I was greeted by a team of warm, welcoming receptionists (this was their lunch hour, and they made time for my appointment in the middle of a staff meeting). Then the doctor saw me. He was pleasant and thorough and said that he would pull Marnie (an RN injector) out of the meeting to conduct my consultation. Marnie has to be the most lovely young lady in this industry I’ve ever met. I’ve previously had injectors at other medi-spas make me feel uncomfortable or uneasy - like they weren’t listening and understanding what I wanted. Marnie was the opposite and nothing short of amazing. She made taking unflattering photos less awkward. She asked me what my concerns were. She priced everything out for me and gave me so many options, and together we mapped out a treatment plan. I told her my budget after the fact and asked what she thought would be the most bang for my buck. We did my injections and she was so thorough and very conservative with her product because she noticed how nervous I was about being overdone. The procedure itself was much less uncomfortable than it has ever been in the past, and I have no bruising. The entire experience from start to finish literally made my week. I left feeling like a million bucks. I will definitely return. Thanks External Affairs!

So I have been going to External affairs for a very long time. The owner Becky is absoluly the best! The front desk receptionists are great and very nice. They are super helpful! I receved 2 procedures at different times. My first procedure was with Sheena and she is so professional and very nice! Sheena gave me botox in my forhead and she did this vibration technique that absolutly worked. I didn't feel a thing and the results were fabulous! My second procedure was with nurse Joelle. I received lip injections and she was also very professional. Joelle was so sweet and she meet all my needs to the perfect lip look! Joelle does sight injections (I think that's how you say it lol )which I found gave definition and shape. This place is a place you should visit! I totally recommend them<3

I have had numerous botox treatments from the St. Albert location. On three of 6 occasions it did not take. On each subsequent appointment I asked why. Reasons would range from metabolism, to trying a different product. I was very careful to follow the instructions for post treatment. Still no results. On my third attempt a mild discount was offered. Still no results. Staff are very lovely. However if you are looking for a place committed to your results and helping you through different processes this is not the place.

I had gone to this clinic in Edmonton 2 years ago for a left nasolabial fold that was starting to form. It was my first time getting filler. I asked the nurse Shelley to fill the fold. Instead she put filler in front of the fold and said this looks better. I did not understand why she put filler in that spot but I trusted this woman and I thought she had my best interest. Fast forward, I thought the filler would dissolve on its own instead it made a VERY PRONOUNCED fold on my left side. I realized this filler is making the fold worse and I had the filler dissolved. Now every time I look in the mirror I am reminded of this woman who portrayed herself to be kind but turned out to be malicious. I expect that woman to receive her karma in due time. LADIES, they will gladly take your money but they also will know how to make you look awful over the long term if there is a hint of jealously. I am so choked that this happened. This act is so evil to do to someone.

Never going here again. I got a facial here, and it did absolutely nothing in the long run. That, I can understand, as results work differently for everyone and you may need multiple treatments. But the results and my experience was not worth the money. The worst thing about this whole experience was when they forced me to buy their overpriced skin products leading me to believe I NEEDED this for the treatment, when there was no word spoken about the product to me in the first place, or on the website. So I ended up paying double the price which ended up to over $200. And I paid this much for no results on my scars or hyper pigmentation. In fact, I felt like my skin got worse. They ALSO wanted me to get botox. Which is just ... wow. I can't imagine if someone insecure or highly influenced went here thinking they actually needed botox. Giving them a two because their staff was nice (probably to take my money lol) and their place was clean to me. I'd recommend going elsewhere for MUCH cheaper and better results.

I've visited External Affairs twice now, the Edmonton location. I went for a facial and eyebrow wax. The second visit was a birthday gift, full body bliss (Facial, hot stone, and massage.) The staff was very friendly, when you walk in, it feels like a group of girlfriends. I had been searching for a new waxer for over 5 years, and I was trepidatious, however, pleasantly surprised. Although expensive (to me) my eyebrows hadn't looked better, she took the time to pluck and do a good job. The massage was a relaxation massage, and the facial was amazing, both times my skin looked incredibly brighter - their product is great. All in all, my experience has been great so far.

I agree that things got completely out of hand with how this clinic handled our medical files and at the lack of communication from start to finish. I generally like to avoid confrontation at all costs, which is why I'm happy my spouse (Wes) has my back when things go south. Wes had been dealing with Marnie one of the nurses at the clinic for Botox for his face and for his jaw trouble, he just thinks the world of her. Its sad that things have to come to an end over this situation, but the doctor told him he can't go back for any more treatments. Wes recommended External Affairs, he told me I should go talk to them about my migraines now everything is just ruined and I wont be treated either, I as well terminated my dealings with the clinic after hearing the phone call from Doctor Briggs this afternoon, calling Wes to provoke him was uncalled for - everything Wes has said is true. I am writing a review today because something unusual happened to me.. I would like to start by saying that a year ago I took one of their free consultation, which I was pleased with. It was quite informative but unfortunately I left on a trip and never ended up thinking about it. Recently I decided to contact them again, they booked me in for a second consultation (win for me) first time getting injections is already scary and with all the different products we hear about Botox, Juverderm, etc, it gets confusing... So my extra consultation session went great. Sheena put me at ease and explained to me how it would go. It went exactly as planned. Everything went great... I walked out the room and she was telling me about a product when I randomly felt really hot and dizzy and almost fainted. I panicked thinking is it the injections? Could it be my body reacting to it? But three times in my life this happened to me... all randomly, all uncorrelated events, not due to pain or anything... They told me I probably was on an empty stomach (bang on) and they immediately gave me a juice and a snack, and sat me down in a very calm and reassuring manner. Within a couple minutes I had three people with clothes and an ice pack. Within 5 minutes I was up and ready to hear about the products. Everything was good from then. The staff was exceptional, it's always great to have a positive review when things go right but what about when they don't? It's always a scary possibility. The handled it amazingly. I will be returning (not on an empty stomach) and will be recommending this place. They are knowledgeable, the information on the products is above and beyond, the comfort level and ease they put me at made me go ahead with the injections... Anyway, great experience, painless and quite happy so far. If you are wondering if you should get fillers or Botox or anything... consultation was free and the information they will drop on you and their personal questions on your habits and skin type reflects that they truly care about their patient and what they do. But at 35, nurse Joelle took the time to understand my preventative needs as well as the corrective needs. She is sooo gentle with her techniques and has wonderful patient care (even so much as adding me to her insta so if I had any questions or concerns she would have a faster response time ! . She truly learned my face and over the course of a year has made me feel sooo beautifully comfortable with my skin and easy skin routines that work ! Also I have to brag because my lips are utterly stunning! I had BAD experience with my juvederm lips and botox. This was my first time in that place and I was expecting cheaper prices because the nurse was doing the treatments and not the doctor. The prices were not cheaper and I was left with uneven eyebrows and lumpsin my lips. The nurse tried to correct the problems but she just made it worse. I had to see doctor in another clinic to fix it and it cost me MORE MONEY. I was disappointed with the experience.

I have been going to External Affairs for Botox injections for nearly 5 years. They are a convenient location to my office and I have also gone to the St Albert location. I have consistently found the staff to be friendly, professional and competent. The location is very clean with cool displays and there is always a DVD playing that outlines various treatment options. I found the staff to make suggestions about other treatment options in a way that I don't feel pressured to book. I believe the prices are competitive with other service providers. I have not had a bad outcome with the injections. If you are thinking you want to try Botox or any other of the services, book with External Affairs - either location.

The safety precautions from walking in the door made me comfortable and the check in process was thorough, but helpful in instilling even more confidence in my experience. My service with Diana was fabulous! She is warm and explained everything in a very understandable way and made sure to include how I can do my home care to ensure my service lasted as long as possible. At the end, I didn’t feel pressured to purchase home treatments, as some spas corner you with things you should buy. I will definitely be back!!

But most importantly for my health I see them for my BHRT (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy) which has been for the past 6 years and my husband is on BHRT too. All services they have done for me is professional and fun and they make me feel like family since I'm there so much! I booked in at external Affairs for the first time this week for a spa service. Why did I not call here years agi?? Otilia was my esthetician and she was wonderful! The hard wax was a great option for the service with basically no discomfort. I ended up also getting my eyebrows waxed and tinted.She did a fabulous job. The staff was so welcoming and friendly .They answered all questions I had. I will most certainly be going back again and will check into other treatments that they offer.

Always enjoy my experiences at external affairs! Ive been coming here for years. Receptionists are always friendly (I’ve always been offered coffee every single time) Every staff member I’ve dealt with has been super knowledgeable In each of their specialties. I’ll give a review of just a few things I’ve had done: Hyperhydrosis is now a necessity for me and painless. For anyone that has a sweating problem this is a Game changer, I’d say ask these ladies for info as a lot of health plans cover this cost. But you may have to pay the injection fee, I do anyways I can’t speak on behalf of other insurance plans. Co2 fractional laser was painful but tolerable during the process but the end results were outstanding. I’d say the scaring I had on my cheeks has been reduced at least 80% another touch up is still needed for optimum results but overall I’m already satisfied with the result, which is why I’ve put off the second treatment. Waxing was good, but I upgraded to Laser hair removal and it’s awesome I like the results I’ve had Botox on my forehead + between my eyebrows for a crease I was getting from squinting. Marnie did really good.. my range of movement stayed normal. Overall everything I have done has been amazing, I’ve never had any issues with waiting for a treatment. Most of the time I can get in within a day of calling. Thanks again external affairs for all the services you have I love treating myself here! Xo ladies. Jacinta

When I first came for my consultation over a year ago (they are free) i was extremely nervous and left super happy and educated and there was absolutely no pressure to proceed. I now come see hayley for botox and lips every 3-4 months and every time she is extremely careful, gives me the look i want and never lets me go overboard. She gave me the lips i want and love and i get tons of compliments you could never tell they were done! Everybody there is extremely kind and educated, and once in a while they have events for their customers where you can see live demos of procedures getting done which I think is awesome. I had permanent eyebrows done years ago which needed color correcting as the colors had changed to unnatural colors, and with Otila's expertise, they are now a natural color. I could not be happier.
