I am so sad that Doctor Mel is no longer at Dentus... we have referred someone recently and she called to book Dr Mel. She was not informed that Dr Mel was no longer there and then was charged for services that she did not receive. She tried to call and nobody addressed her over billing issues. Dr. Melanie Macdonald will be opening her own clinic and we will be going there. I am leaving one star, but that is for the staff.

The best dental clinic in St. Albert, and I mean that whole-heartedly. I've been to three different clinics in the city and I've honestly never had an experience as good as I've had here. The dentists are kind, fun and knowledgable, and make what can sometimes be an uncomfortable situation feel relaxed and easy. Like many, I'd be lying if I said that in the past I've enjoyed visiting the dentist, but the professionals at Dentus Family Dental make the experience something I truly look forward to. So long as I live in the Edmonton area, I'll never go to another clinic. Highly recommend checking them out for your next appointment!

I am not one to put in reviews but I feel this business practice should be brought to light for anyone looking for a new dental office. After being hounded repeatedly by the front office to book in for our yearly teeth cleaning my husband and I reluctantly booked an appointment for the two of us and our 4 year old daughter (reluctant as we are in a pandemic and it seems high risk for a routine teeth cleaning). The front office staff were very nice and the hygienist who did the cleaning was great (she was from another office filling in). My husband and I had the regular 45 minute visit and quick exam with the dentist. A couple x-rays. My daughter had a 20 minute appointment where the hygienist chatted with her and looked at her teeth. The dentist did her quick exam. And she had fluoride painted on her teeth. No cavities. No work needed. The issues we experienced followed after the appointment itself. We have 80% dental coverage and even after that the office still charged us $500 out of pocket. I understand these businesses are in hard times but to be charged that much after charging our insurance for 80% of their fees seems obscene. If you do choose to use this dentist I would encourage you to have them show you the bill before you agree to any services. We didn’t have this issue at our previous appointments at this office when it was under different ownership. We are looking forward to switching back to an office with integrity.

I never miss because they notify me 3 different ways, one by text, one by email and one by phone call. Very effective!!! So my family and I have been going to Dentus for many years And I am so sad to say that today when I actually had an issue I was treated horrible I wanted to speak to Lori about an issue the first receptionist treated me horrible and hung up on me I then later called back as I was truly upset near tears and yes Tina was apologetic but still no resolution no call back After 10 plus years I now need to fine a new dentist for our family If there are NO questions and you just go with the flow this is a good place BUT DO NOT STOP THE FLOW or you are discarded like garbage and that is how I feel! This summer my daughter and I had our yearly check ups at this office to see our family dentist but was told she no longer works there. We had our check ups and where told that my daughter had a cavity and I was going to need a crown. We waited for our family dentist to open up her practice and booked with her to have my daughters cavity fixed and my crown down. THANK GOODNESS we waited for her because she said my daughter DID NOT have a cavity and in the future my tooth POSSIBLY MIGHT need a crown but it is good for now. I can not believe a person in such a position would use her stature to ROB people of insurance money and my 800$ out of my wallet for a services WE did NOT need.Shame on you !! In all your years of schooling Im sure you came across the word INTEGRITY , you should bring that quality to your practice because when people TRUST you with their care its just as important as your workmanship. Ive read all your reviews and I can tell you I HONESTLY was a patient of yours briefly but never again.

Two days ago I had a sharp pain develop on the left side of my upper teeth. I was in so much pain that I couldn't sleep or chew at all. I hate going to the dentist, I fear and avoid the dentist at all costs. But it was so bad that I emailed them right away (late at night) saying it was a painful emergency and I got a call the next morning at 8am from a very pleasant and helpful receptionist who booked me in to see them for noon the same day. The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and they determined I needed a root canal and some antibiotics. So I go in on Saturday for the procedure and am happy I've found such a great dentist/clinic.
