I was recently emailed asking if I would leave a review for a chance to win a $150 Visa giftcard, though it has probably been 7 years since I visited this dentist... Here goes. I grew up in St. Albert, with Sherry Dick as my family dentist. Unfortunately, I think she goes around opening practices with her name attached, and then selling them and moving on to the next one. I only wish I was smart enough back then to follow her and her talent, rather than stay with a dentist's office she was no longer at. I went to Bright Smile for the last time in 2012, as my benefits were almost up at work and I just wanted to get it done. I had a couple cavities between my molars, and after getting them filled could not even fit dental floss between my teeth. One day I was flossing my teeth, and a piece of the filling came out with my dental floss. They offered to have me come back in to check them out, but I have not been back to a dentist, because I am now genuinely afraid of them and what more damage they could do. The dentist was a younger guy, I think his name was Nav.

I just switched to bright dental and am very impressed. My Hygenist was friendly and engaging. They seem very up to date with technology that makes the trip to the dentist less painful! My last office would scrape my teeth and it hurt so bad, my gums would bleed. This location uses an ultrasonic water tool I barely noticed anything was happening. I will be transferring my whole family there.

I went in for a cleaning and checkup. The waiting room was near full when they called me in. The hygienist was friendly but seemed rushed as she counted my teeth and hurriedly took one X-ray of each side. She surprised me by then doing a very quick polish and put in the fluoride. I was expecting the usual scraping and picking and such, but it didn’t happen. I assumed my new electric toothbrush was doing great work. Then the dentist came in and stood by my chair, introduced himself and shook my hand them left. The hygienist removed the fluoride tray and informed me I was done. I asked if the dentist was going to check my teeth and she said he had looked at the chart and it must have looked fine, so I left. The following month a tooth broke on a hard food bit and I went in to an after hours dentist. He informed me I needed a cleaning and that I had two old fillings needing attention and wouldn’t believe that I’d been in elsewhere so recently. I booked an appointment at the after hour clinic for the next day to attend to the issues identified. Imagine my surprise when my Insurance company denied that claim, saying I had already used my allowed amount. I asked them to double check and it was then I learned that Bright Dental had charged for a full, long cleaning including scaling AND a checkup by the dentist with lots of xrays - even though the dentist never even looked in my mouth! I reported to the insurance company what had happened there and switched to another dental clinic.

Dr. Frank was so good and caring. I have an EXTREME fear of going to the dentist. Dr. Frank and his staff were very attentive and sensitive to my needs and did everything they could to reassure me and make me as comfortable as possible. Dr. Franks also listened and took my concerns seriously. He went the extra mile to show me that everything was okay; explaining in plain language why there was no cause for alarm. He did all this with a great smile and an amazing sense of humour! I would recommend Dr. Frank and his staff in a heartbeat!

I am so happy that I chose Bright Dental to have my tooth filling and root canal done. Dr. Frank Neves was so professional and absolutely great with his skills. At first, I was hesitant to do the root canal because it was a little bit expensive. So I only opted to do the tooth filling which was my main objective for going to the dentist, but Dr. Neves reminded me that I needed it. He told me that there might be complications if I don’t do the root canal, still I didn’t listen and he was respectful of my decision, and let two weeks come by after doing my tooth filling. True enough, during this two week period, my tooth was in excruciating pain. So I came back to have my root canal done, and I couldn’t be much happier now that my tooth doesn’t hurt anymore. He and his amazing staff are absolutely fantastic to deal with. His staff are all knowledgeable. I made my own research on the internet on how the process of root canal is done and what should I expect after it’s done. The assistant of Dr Neves knew exactly what I’d feel after, and she was correct. Plus their clinic looks so modern and their equipment/devices are high technology. ???? If I need to go to the dentist in the future, I’ll go back to this clinic even if I live in Edmonton.

I am so happy that I changed dentist. I have had issues with a particular tooth on the left side of my mouth for over two years. My former dentist could not seem to find the problem regardless of what he did. So I decided to get a second opinion. Thankfully I did. I had an infection. My tooth had deteriorated so badly that it needed to be pulled. I then needed to get two root canals and a bridge. To this day, I can't believe that I am not feeling pain on my left side. It had just become normal. Every time I go back, either for dental work or for a cleaning, the staff are amazing and I can actually relax a bit. The staff are so intuitive that when I went for my last cleaning, I was nervous as I don't like to go to the dentist. The hygienist noticed I was tense and offered me a paraffin wax treatment for my hands. Unbelievable! Great attention to clients.

Most Amazing dental clinic in the world I bet. The staff is beyond kind, patient and just fabulous. I got a paraffin wax treatment on my hands while snuggled under a blanket watching TV while getting my teeth cleaned. It's a combination between a spa and vacation. The dentistry is the most modern and up to date available. They let me pay them a bit as I can afford it ahead of time so when I have work done it doesn't financially break me. (I dont have dental coverage).

I will never use this dentist again. I went there in an emergency with a cracked tooth, my own dentist is in Edmonton, but because bright dental is close to my house I decided to try it out. Dr Frank told me that my only option for my cracked filling was a root canal or extraction, they took xrays, and even though I pleaded for any other option he would only give those two. I decided to go another dentist and he gladly gave me another option, he fixed my tooth which turned out to be a loose filling(Something Bright dental failed to mention) without need for a root canal and its been fine since. Its my opinion that some dentists would rather bill big rather than do only the necessary work. You can make your own assumptions based on this. This review is my own opinion. *Update* Bright dental doesnt like bad reviews. They just called me threatening legal action because of its negative nature. Possibly another reason to avoid them in my opinion.

I went to Bright when I moved back into St Albert searching for a new dentist, and the staff/reception were incredible. Unfortunately, the dentist himself I found to be incredibly unprofessional. At my first appointment he was making inappropriate/sexist remarks and jokes to me. My mother ended up going here late last year and she was told that she had a broken tooth that needed root canal and a crown. On top of that she said he was pretty rude. She went to a different dentist and got told that the tooth would be fine! It has been fine since! Either this doc doesn't know what he's talking about or hes a slime bag. I'm guessing both since the other dentist she went to said he's heard this often from this clinic... Careful if you're told that you have a cracked tooth and need root canal and crown! You've been warned. I told my mother to complain but she just wants to let it slide, I'm trying to get her to complain to the alberta dentists college!

I recommend Bright Dental My experience with Bright Dental started when my friend referred me around 10 years ago , first of all Bright Dental has their free dental day every year and I went to a couple due to not having dental coverage and I hadn’t seen a dentist for a while ( my previous dentist had my teeth in not great shape ) and they made me feel comfortable and important, and I felt so much healthier overall due to their care and didn’t make me feel anything different. Then a couple years passed and I was under dental coverage and my teeth are in amazing shape nothing changed from not having coverage to having coverage Dr. Frank cares about my teeth no matter what and has done everything he can to keep them this way I’m very thankful for that. I also have my family coming , relatives and friends and they are very pleased with the care and procedures they have done . Our hygienists Michelle and Tina are amazing here also . They are very pain free and do everything to help you relax even with a paraffin hand treatment . My daughter was terrified of dentists but since coming she has been more relaxed . Also their pricing is beyond fair Frank will always customize a plan that works for you there is always a few options plus they are always updating their skills to better themselves with up to date procedures. I was in today for a last minute chip on my tooth and within a short time it was fixed and another tooth beside had a chip and Frank fixed it also this made my day thank you so much for the amazing service again !!!

I now go back every 3-4 months for routine scaling and it is always a pleasant experience. Dr Frank is extremely talented and kind and goes the extra mile for me constantly! Dr Frank ????did a phenomenal job on veneers for me that completely changed my confidence level????. He and his staff are so warm and friendly and they quickly put you at ease. They always sit and listen and have something encouraging to say and It doesn't hurt that you sometimes get a optional paraffin wax hand bath while getting your teeth cleaned ( just saying) ❤ I love Bright Dental so much that I have recommended frank and his amazing staff to my family and friends and they too were extremely pleased with the incredible care they received that they have made Bright dental their primary dentist. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? I’ve always dreaded going to get my teeth cleaned/checkups. Switching my entire family to bright dental was the best decision ever. Dr. Frank and my hygienist Brooke are fantastic. So friendly, personable, and definitely go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Both Brooke and Dr. Frank take the time to discuss and explain treatment plans and options before anything is done. All the girls up front are also amazing. They are very patient, and helpful with bookings, and go out of their way to be accommodating. Ashley is fantastic with dealing with billing and insurance plans, and gets answers for you instantly. The entire office is immaculate and always clean and fresh looking. My kids love the play room that they have, and look forward to their pictures on the “no cavities” wall. I highly recommend this office and staff if you are looking for a new dentist.

I was taken in right on time and the hygienist was super friendly and ensured my comfort throughout the appointment. My last experience at a dentist was full of pain and made me never want to go back. A family member recommended Bright Dental so I decided to give them a chance, and I don't regret it. They make sure you are comfortable at all times during your appointment and there was 0 pain involved. I actually said "That's it?" after my cleaning as I was expecting pain at some point.

I had a few fillings done. One of the filling either cracked or chipped about 2 months after the visit. Now I have to fix it. Another tooth they re-filled now hurts. Also, they're not so good at listening. I repeatedly raised some problems I been having during a few visits there. But they were not addressed. Looks like they are very focused on Drill>Bill>Go. That is the nature of income driven industry. P.S. Editing. Owner's response is a lie meant to discredit my message. I had three visits to Bright Dental. You could easily find my files by my first name. P.P.S. They found my file and called to apologize and to discuss my issues. Even offered to fix the cracked filling free of charge. That is a nice gesture. But the lingering feeling of awkwardness and mistrust on my part is still there. Thats why I declined.

Bright dental is by far the best dentist office I’ve ever been to. They are clean, friendly and great at what they do! I recently was having jaw pain all of a sudden and I wasn’t sure if it was dental or medical related and the dentist (Frank) figured out the issue in minutes! Unfortunately the end result was me needing a root canal, but it was probably the most easiest and relaxed dental situation I’ve ever sat through! (Next to a cleaning appointment obviously!) keep up the good work!
