You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is really good, and it is based on a very high number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Plastic Surgery is classified in the category of Otolaryngologist.
The worst receptionist you will ever see I received a message that my appointment was 3:20 I was there with three I waited in the car for 20 minutes and then I went in and she said my appointment is 3:10 I’m too late the doctor left goodbye. After five minutes she calls me to reschedule she sounded too nice on the phone totally different person I said I’m never gonna deal with this clinic anymore thank you
The building and clinic is very modern and well designed and decorated. Unfortunately, those are the only positives I can list. It is clear that as a patient at this clinic your time is not seen as valuable and that obviously the doctors schedule is more important . I was scheduled for the first appointment of the day. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked what time my appointment was (thinking perhaps I showed up too early) and was informed that I am on time, the doctor isn't at work yet and is late. Fast forward an hour and here I am still waiting to see a doctor. The front desk staff were not at all helpful or considerate to the fact that like most Albertans I do have a job and commitments to meet, I would describe the front desk staff as dismissive at best. Finally getting to see the doctor for a total of 10 minutes I would again express my opinion that if your doctor refers you to this clinic I would encourage you to do your research and perhaps advocate for another specialist. While it is true that most people choose to wrire reviews solely based on a negative experience, judging by the reviews on Google and Rate my MD this isn't an isolated experience .
I was on time for my appointment, unfortunately I can’t say the same for Dr. Michael Allegretto; 30 minutes late and still waiting...
Brought me to tears, he told me abruptly to "STOP CRYING" his compassion is lacking to say the least. Went to see him for repeat tonsillitis, he was very rude and presumptuous. Kept making comments about my age and refused to acknowledge my concerns. Booked me for tests that are irrelevant to my symptoms. Office is messy and front desk personnel are also rude. Would not recommend!
Great staff, doctors
I have been visiting various E.N.T dr's my entire life of 50+ years. Dr Lui and his staff have been the best so far. I appreciate so much this dr has done for me. Sometimes I wait a little bit longer waiting in his wait room to see him, but no longer than anywhere else. Dr Lui always has been above and beyond my expectations. Patient and kind, thorough treatment with much respect. I consider myself lucky to have found him.
They helped fix my deviated septum. Great service.
I suffered from a deviated septum most of my life. I couldn't sleep on one side at all. Finally my doctor referred me to se Dr. Morrissey. He asked questioned. Examined and said I did need surgery to fix it. Surgery was booked. They reassured me it would all be fine. I woke up, I wasn't in too much pain. Went home follow instructions. I had no bruising. Just swelling. Went for a check up, he made sure he answered all questions. Told me to not hesistate to call the office if I had any concerns or anything came up. Well that was in 2016. I haven't had issues since then! You couldn't even tell anything was done. No marks from incisions or stitches. Nothing. My nose looks amazing ( he also fixed a curve/ bump I had at the bridge of my nose) and I can breathe! I couldn't be happier. Thank you.
I have been trying to confirm my appointment details for a few months, and no one is answering or returning my voice mails that I leave. This appointment took over a year on the waiting list to get and I'm worried I will miss the date, but I simply can't get ahold of anyone there.
Dr Tayem was incredibly helpful with a proper diagnosis, very compassionate and you can tell he cares about the patients!
Dr Taym beside he is a great Doctor , he is a great person , my both appointments went very well , in a very excellent manner, professional, efficient , smooth , not what i expected at all .I had such an excellent experience He is the best ,thank you so much!
Visited their southside office, and was frustrated by the wait time. I waited a total of 70 minutes in the waiting room, before being called into the doctor's office. The doctor saw me right away, and the visit lasted a total of 2-3 minutes. This place needs to give patients a heads up if the doctors are behind on their schedule.
Dr.Tayem is the best E.N.T. doctor in the city. As well as the best physician I have seen in 4 years! He is so kind and compassionate. He genuinely listens to all your concerns and is so empathetic. He is very knowledgeable and willing to investigate unexplained issues to the fullest extent. His front staff, namely Mhig, is so approachable and welcoming. She made my anxiety all but disappear due to her excellent attitude and professionalism. If you have ANY issues that fall under the jurisdiction of an ENT, please go here. Dr. Tayem is a fantastic Doctor and human being. I am a lifelong client now as are my family members. Go here for sure.
Highly recommend Dr. Tayem.
I usually don't leave positive reviews for places (hardly review at all actually, unless a product or place is really bad) but this place was amazing. Went above and beyond. I had an appointment closer to lunch hour and ultimately I got caught in a traffic jam due to a car accident, but also wasn't aware there was construction that forced me to re-route way out of the way (gotta love Edmonton construction!). Anyways, needless to say, wasn't on time. I got there, apologized to the staff and gave them my reasons and expected to be turned away, however the receptionist was still nice and professional and said she would see what she could do. I was seeing Dr. Morrissey (hopefully I'm spelling his name right) and within a few minutes I was in to see him. I thought I was going to get an angry doctor because I'm pretty sure I was cutting into their lunch break but he was really good. Honest, professional, pleasant and most importantly not angry at me! Outstanding service from top to bottom. Obviously wouldn't recommend showing up late and being THAT person like I was, but this place was more than fantastic! 10/10
When I received noticed that my appointment to see an ENT would be here I came here to check the reviews. They’re not good. I contemplated canceling my appointment and trying to rebook it somewhere else, but I thought I should check it out for myself and give it a chance. Well, the day finally came, my appointment was early in the morning at 8:45AM on a Wednesday in October. The drive there was fine, I’m from out of town so I made sure to leave at 7AM just in case. There’s parking beside the building and right across the street make sure to bring change or download apps for parking. I was welcomed with a smile by the receptionist with the short, dark hair wearing glasses. The place is pleasantly modern, clean, beautiful and bright! I love it in there and even the tiles in the bathroom! I took a picture because we’re thinking of redoing our bathrooms.???? Anyway, back to the most important thing, Dr. Tayem was who I saw. He’s gentle, he listens, he doesn’t make you feel rushed, he takes his time to explain things and comes up with the best solutions for you. He has great bedside manners! I wish all doctors were like Dr. Tayem! In addition to all of this I didn’t have any difficulties getting through to a receptionist when I called in previous to the appointment day. I’m glad I came here in spite of the nasty reviews for other professionals in this practice. I highly recommend this place and I’ll be going back for a follow up.
The reviews aren't reflective of my experience here at all. I was seen right on time for the appointment. Dr. Tayem was kind, listened to my concerns, and didn't make me feel rushed at all. He offered a very thorough explanation of his findings and planned treatment. I had a great experience.
Dr. Morrissey absolutely fixed my nose! Trouble sleeping due to only one side open and always plugged up. Quick surgery and boom, normal person breathing!!
Very rude front desk staff. Never close to be on time. And can't book appointments correctly and they don't care about client's time at all. We will not be come back.
Every time I visit this clinic, I always have a great experience. Front desk staff are helpful and are pleasure to speak with. The doctors are thorough and knowledgeable, I always feel as though I'm being well taken care of. I'm also always admitted on time. I so appreciate everyone who works at this clinic.
I was referred to Dr. Tayem after 5 other physicians were unable to properly diagnose a condition in my right ear. Dr Tayem knew exactly what was wrong and I left his office feeling well again. His staff was very understanding and took my concerns seriously and managed to get me an appointment in just a couple of days. I am very grateful for the prompt treatment I received and will definitely return should any other issues arise.
Dr. Morrissey was amazing throughout my entire process with Alberta ENT. I had deviated septum, sinus and rhinoplasty surgery and he was amazing at calming my nerves and explaining every little detail to me (which he asked me beforehand if I wanted all the details or less). I am extremely happy with my results cosmetically as well as functionally (I can breath again!). All of the staff, including his nurse, Sydnee, were very nice and helpful as well. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Morrissey!
My grandmother needed to see an ENT in Edmonton and Dr. Chowdhury was awesome. She found him very kind and caring. I also had my tonsils taken out as an adult. Dr. Chowdhury performed the surgery and was great in preparing me for what to expect as well as the risks involved. I had the surgery and all went smoothly. He checked in with me a couple of times post surgery to ensure all went well. He is extremely competent and I really appreciate his compassion. I was glad to have such an experienced and skilled doctor perform my surgery. Thank you, Dr. Chowdhury.
very rude staff
I have only positive experiences with this clinic. The staff are friendly and the doctors are professional and genuinely want to care. The building seems to be new and always clean. The parking is conveniently close and easy. Highly recommend.
Dr. Morrissey and his nurse Sydnee are both wonderful. I had a septorhinoplasty w/ polyp removal 2 months ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! Dr. Morrissey was the third ENT/Cosmetic surgeon I saw on my quest to find the right doctor for this really personal and scary procedure and for some reason my gut just trusted him and his team immediately and I was not wrong. The cosmetic adjustments to my nose were subtle and I finally feel like I have the perfect nose for my face! He really understood what I was looking for and in the end I still look like myself - just smoothed out and my bumpy nose is no longer the focus on my face! Also - after the procedure - Sydnee was so great at answering my many phone calls and emails to reassure me that my healing was on track and that I could reach out to her any time. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Morrissey!
Omg ! Never pick up phone calling all the time when we not home and if I return call I manage to tell to call me back time I'm home never do keep calling when I'm not home atm I'm in 11 call to make sure apointment still on no one pick up horible
My experience has been wonderful here. Doctor Tayem is kind, capable and respectful. Where other doctors scheduled two appointments to get a procedure done (one for consultation and another for the actual procedure), Dr. Tayem combined both into one appointment. This made a big difference to my father who has restricted mobility. We showed up a day early for an appointment due to an error on our part but the front desk staff and the doctor accommodated us anyway and we saw Dr. Tayem shortly. I would recommend Dr. Tayem without hesitation.
Honestly if I could give less then 1 star I would. I have been dealing with extreme sinus pain after using a Netipot in November 2020. I was referred to Alberta ENT. Took damn near a year to get in. Finally go in, was in there for MAYBE 20 minutes max. Doctor came in, asked if I had a CT scan. I said yes. He left to go look at it in another room. Comes back and says “your sinuses are only a little congested”, takes the scope and BARELY pits the tip of it in my nose and says “you have a deviated septum. All looos good. I’m guessing it’s a Neurological issue. You’ll need to have your doctor refer you to one” and walked out. Get home (which is 3 hours out of Edmonton), go see my doctor and was given more nasal spray…. Same stuff that has done NOTHING. Go see a second doctor for a second opinion. I explain and asked if there is a high chance they missed a sinus infection or something… said it was a possibility but let’s try 3000mg if Amoxicillin a day for 5 days and see what happens. Well. Cleared up. But 5 days after I was done the Antibiotics, it came back again. So now the doctor figures that I obviously have an Extremely strong infection or something in my sinuses all because of THIS HORRIBLE PLACE and the HORRIBLE Doctor that referred me. These Doctors at Alberta ENT are suppose to be SPECIALISTS. They are trash.
Awful front desk staff - rude from the answering machine to actual conversation (if you can get ahold of them). I have been going here for over 5 years to Dr. Chowdhury, trusting that I was receiving genuine care. He could never give me a reason for my problems, which I accepted (not being a specialist myself) until a new dentist ordered tests that uncovered a myriad of problems. Dr. Chowdhury's response to this was a) denial, b) distrust of dentists, and c) pompous. He refused to comment on anything outside of his specialty, even though my case is intricately intertwined. He then let slip that he was previously aware of the condition of my sinuses and "could do a quick surgery that would dramatically increase my breathing ability," which, after a lifetime of issues, was news to me. If you want to be cared for by a doctor who sees you as a human with genuine problems that deserves respect, don't come here.
Dr. Morrissey and his nurse Sydnee have been incredible! Came in for a consultation pre-covid that was easy and straightforward. Had my septoplasty done 6 weeks ago, and despite being nervous, Dr. Morrissey's calm, professional, confident manner helped ease any worries I might have had about the surgery itself. Sydnee was prompt and compassionate answering all my overly worried questions in the first week, and despite the surgery itself just being a rough procedure, it was done very well and I had an overall very easy time with healing. My breathing has improved so much it's incredible, I didn't even know that people could breathe like this through their nose. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Morrissey, having invasive facial surgery is frightening, anesthesia is frightening, but the competence and confidence he gives off with his demeanor is so reassuring and lets you know that you can trust this surgeon with your face.
Really bad service. 1st doctor I saw said I was in need of surgery because my tonsils looked incredibly painful and infected. He suggested the other specialist should look at it. I had to rebook for about 2 months later. After getting in with this doctor he spoke down to me, acted like everything I was telling him about my health was a lie, then wrote off my pain for the last 23 YEARS with a "gargle salt water". Wow, what a specialist. How many years did you go to school to suggest salt water, doc? Anyway, I guess I have to live my life in pain. Thanks for nothing.
