If you have ever been to a Walmart, this is exactly what you would expect. Grocery section in this Walmart, and McDonald's. There is a 6 register 1-12 item line (one line six manned registers). It is rare that I see all six registers manned. Lines to pay can get very long on Saturdays.

This walmart has everything you could need. Not a big fan of the food at this location, produce is usually not very fresh. Staffing levels for cashes seem appropriate, rarely have to wait too long in lines, staff are usually knowledgeable and helpful.

Countless self checkouts......Maybe 2 cashiers on 12 items or less checkouts...... if your lucky 2 cashiers on regular checkouts....Forcing us to use the self checkouts, unless I've been recently hired by Walmart which I have not I find it unacceptable. Employees look miserable... shelves are not stocked well during renovation. ..Confusing set up. Walmart is a necessary evil at times.

you know, the Mcdonalds here is so bad I don't even want to imagine what it would be like had it been a full sized one. For starters I don't think their cashiers know what a shower even is. Talk about showing up unkempt. Secondly after I thought I could look passed the gross kid handling my food I was completely mistaken. As when My burger came it may as well been going to a 70s disco joint it was so hairy. Outraged by what had happened I checked my sons mcchicken meal only to see that it was 4 expired nuggets squished together as a substitute for the patty. When I went to demand a refund the snot nosed brat decided to tell me that all I could get in return was a small fry. Overall I was incredibly upset with my experience here.

I had went online to plan out my money for my new Guinea pig feed. They were 3.99 and 6.99 so I had planned to get a salt and mineral lick. Got to the cash they were 13.99( pellets ) 16.99 ( Timothy hay). 2.The staff we had was unbelievably slow after we told him to hurry as we were busy and he kept standing there talking to the other cashiers and the other customers ( staff worker Nicolas.) very unpleased and DO NOT recommend it. So unorganized and hard to walk though. False advertising and lazy employees. I will not ever return

felt uncomfortable talking to a staff from electronic department. Some staff don't know what's customer service is. I was looking for a case for a case for my iphone xr (pronounced as 10 R). but a staff told me that version of iphone don't exist. Oh I'm like what? When i looked around after talking to him, i found the case near the laptops and that staff told me "that is Xr sir".(literally pronounced as xr). and told him this is what im looking for. to the staff that i talked to, xr or 10 r its just the same thing lol and learn customer service pls.

Never any cashiers working. I attended the store and was checking out (9:25pm on a Tuesday), and there were no cashiers at the counters; only self checkout was available. There was a lineup of 7 people back to use the self checkouts. I decided I didn't need socks that much and left.

Customers seem to be the main problem with Walmart keeping up with covid rules. People are not giving each other space while walking through the store and now when it's more important that you return your cart to a cart return spot so it can be cleaned before use for the next customer people are still leaving carts in the middle of parking spots. Shame on all of us

I recently visited this Walmart location in Barrhaven Ontario over the Victoria day long weekend to purchase a 32 GB Lexar SD card for my camera. I was riding a motorcycle with my friend and between grabbing my helmet and bag, I left behind the SD card I had just purchased with the receipt. I returned to inquire about that which I left behind the following day around 2:00pm to which the attendant told me to come back tomorrow as her manager had left. So the next day I made the hour and a half drive back to the location for a third time only to be told that they didn't believe my story and they could do nothing for me. All of this after they found evidence of my purchase using my credit card information. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in the service which I received all whilst trying to cooperate the best I could with the customer service department. All of this only to be treated like a liar even though I had the balance of probability in my favour.

Shawna went over and above searching the store, checking the truck delivery coming the next day and in the end she called the other stores in Edmonton. I'm not sure what is going on with the Walmart in Barrhaven but the few years, the store has transformed from clean and welcoming to filthy with litter strewn about the carts, the produce was wilting and there was no milk (at least not the kind I was looking for). If your store opens at 7AM I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the shelves to be fully stocked. Compare your store with the one on Terry Fox drive. It is clean, bright, the produce is fresh and the shelves are ALWAYS fully stocked. This store is several km from where I live but after 3 wasted trips to the Barrhaven store I will have to make the switch. Dissapointed.

Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

I needed to picked up a birthday gift for my grandson, but during the Covid-19 lockdown I had to shop online. I am not happy about it but I have no choice. But, then I found out that I didn't spend enough for free shipping so I though, no problem, I can pick i up. Then I found out during check out I had to pay a $5.00 handling fee! Again, because I didn't spend enough!!! I wouldn't have paid this is I could have shopped for myself. This fee should be waived during Covid-19 lock down!!

Layouts ok--- limited on beauty supplies/accessories and the self check out is very intrusive. Pretty much out right accuses you of stealing if you put the item you scanned in the bag before it registers..... Then you got to pull it back out---- then when you're done it asks (loudly) to be sure you haven't placed items in without scanning them and to not forget to check the cart for items..... While it films your face and places a screen viewing you're face a foot from your face. Didn't love it. Certainly didn't get through faster. Maybe on rushes and you have a few items it's worth it but if there's a lane open I'll take it from now on.

Worst experience at the photo centre. There was some kind of event going on where if you found the hidden teddy bear around the store, you won a free photo. My SO won the free photo and booked an appointment. They called us the day before to remind us of our photo, and we showed up 15 minutes early the next day and the photographer didn't show up! We spoke to the manager who was very nice and had told us that we would get some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. She left a note for them to get in touch with us but they never did. Dropped in and claimed they couldn't find us in the system and only offered us a rescheduling. No explanation was provided for why they were not there.

The experience was good, until we got to the exit. The alarm went off and we had a receipt but the greeter turned angry and ripped our stuff out of our hands. He wouldn't look at the receipt at all! Instead he forced all of us including small children to walk through the door. We told him it must have been the show we bought, but he wouldn't listen. Again he wouldn't check the receipt and wouldn't put the shoes through to see if they were what's causing the alarm. He did not see a security sticker in the shoes and almost yelled at us saying it wasn't th shoe. Again he made all of us walk through the door. He even had the nerve to say we had something on us. We were humiliated!!! Again we asked him to check the receipt. He never did check the receipt and we had to call a manager because of the way we were treated. We expect more from Walmart! This was humiliation to the fullest extent! We not very happy with the managers response. We will not be going back there again! Awful service!!!!

I give this Walmart three stars solely because of the lack of entrances and exits into the parking lot. One entrance/exit being shared by two big box stores, Tim Hortons, Boston pizza and several other retailers is nowhere near enough. There is always a line of cars waiting to come and go from this parking lot. After a local man was hit by a car last year they announced that a second entrance was coming sometime in 2018.

My experiences with Walmart in NewLiskeard have been 95% of the time good ones. Sometimes the shelves are lacking items, they seem to have problems keeping up with the demands. I find the cashiers work hard and are friendly and kind. Never forget everyone, yes everyone has a bad day once in a while. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars are the self check out machines. I will never use them and if Walmart goes strictly to those machines, I will not use them. Walmart has already lost my on line shopping which was a twice a month, sometimes more order. They changed the delivery rules again a few months back and that was it for me. The reason I liked this shopping experience was because they deliver to the door. I’m a senior without a vehicle and that service was important to me. So I went to Amazon who has as many choices. Sometimes i pay an extra .50 cents but its worth it, AND amazon ships in good sturdy boxes, as well as all liquids are sealed in a plastic bag.

I have had the pleasure of shopping there on many occasions and most recently was looking for a specific item in their home care department. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I find exaclty what I needed, exercising patience and dedication to take my needs as a customer seriously. I was throughly impressed by their genuine interest in what I was looking for and how my happiness at getting it was their happiness as well. It's people who invest themselves so wholeheartedly into the individual's shopping experience that truly elevates a store from something ordinary. I absolutely love this place! The four times I've been there so far, it has really not been very busy. The staff has been super helpful to me so far! Because I know my way around a Walmart I don't ask for directions very often but on the one occasion I had to ask, a nice lady named Sarah was amazingly helpful and brought me exactly to where I needed to be. Even though I live at the other end of the city (Edwards)I enjoy going towards Barrhaven because it's a much quieter place to shop.

BOMBSHELL Breaking News: After having my meds filled at this Walmart Pharmacy for almost 2 years straight, the Rx they filled a few days ago (advising me that the med was the same but the capsule packaging had changed!) looks like it actually has medicine in it!! The worst store I have experienced. I have been shop at this store for about 10 years and it was ok, but in this couple years are bad. The cashiers are rude, never smile at customers, they never look like they should welcome anyone, unknowledge. My two very very bad experiences of all are: First, the lady at the cash took 2 minutes to scale my banana because it couldn’t scan then that lady just standing where and press CLEAR again and again. I just asked her “do you need to remove it from the scale and put it again?” She shouted at me “no! I know my job!” Then I just pay and work out. Second, today I went to the store and did the price match and they said my Flipp is wrong because they don’t do the price match with the store at the Quebec site. I said it’s in the gatineau and I’m working at Walmart too so know that policy that Walmart does price match with the store at gatineau and I did so many times; the lady at the cash and especially the lady at the customer service shouted at me in front of other and said “no! we don’t, go to your store that you work and ask them again, not price match with Quebec site.” I really mad but didn’t say anything. With this store I always come out with the mad face that they have on them.

Definitely a great place to come if you need a quick snack, this store has pretty much everything you ever need. Groceries, toys, sports equipment, books and furniture. The prices range from very cheap to moderately expensive, however most things of the Great Value brand you can find for very cheap. Would definitely recommend to anybody who needs something at a low cost.

I always have a love-hate relationship with Wal-Mart because it always seems to be out of stock on items I want, even if they are not on sale. However, as a general rule, the customer service is great and the selection is definitely decent in the entertainment area. I find that ad match makes them competitive with other places, but I believe that also contributes to the lack of stock that always seems to occur.

All I wanted to know was whether they had a certain carpet cleaner in stock at this location. When I called I was put on hold for about 15-20 minutes before I just gave up and hung up the phone. So I decided to check the website of this specific Spruce Grove location. The website kept on redirecting me to the same main page and whenever I searched for what I wanted, basically nothing came up. I tried several different titles of what I was looking for but still nothing. So then I decided to go into the store, only to find out they did not have what I wanted at all. If someone would have answered the phone in the first place my experience with Walmart would have been much more satisfactory.

Not enough disabled parking, too much reserved parking for pick up's and family or pregnant spots that used to be disabled parking. Since disabled parking is enforced by law, but the others aren't. I hate when parking lots don't follow the bylaw, 1 disabled per 20 regular spots. The pickup and pregnant/family spots are not to be counted as a regular spot.

Fighting to get the cart to accept your money during this covid situation is a regular occurance. If you are going to enforce down payments on carts maybe make sure you don't have to put a coin in 3-4 carts before you find one that will accept your money in order to utilize it. Staff if not very helpful with carts or anything else for that matter. I would rather spend my money at the smaller businesses in the area than Walmart. During these times spend your money where they appreciate your business instead of Walmart where they do not appreciate your patronage in any way.

Most of their veggies are great but fruit can be hit or miss especially if it's out of season. The organic section is growing which is also nice to see. No variety of baby formula... my baby needs emfamil nutramigen...all they had was similac alimentum and only a few boxes left...I had to get that until my order came in from the pharmacy...... but please...for such a big box store would be nice to see this formula in store also no size 3 over night diapers which ok no problem its like that in many walmart have to order to pick up...also no dr brown bottle nipples..... or dr brown wide nipple bottles like why.....I struggled so much to find things my baby needed while in the area. I had come prepared but I figured I'd find it in the store since when I searched it said they had it...then I'd show up and no luck.

Great staff, not so great Christmas gift. We bought a bicycle for our son for last Christmas, he excitedly waited for spring and the first chance of riding it. The first ride of spring and less than 20 minutes later he came back crying. He swore that he didn't do anything wrong and that the bike stopped working when he shifted the rear gear for the first time. We were all a bit heart broken, as the rear gear selector had managed to flip around, twisted and jammed itself up, locking the pedals in place and rendering the bike unusable. I took the bike into Walmart and the staff said that there was really nothing that could be done, but to go and talk to the people in the sporting goods department. He told me to speak to the store manager and bring the bike back to look at, to see if they could warranty it. We showed the manager and he refunded our money, and we walked out with a new bike (one that was a little more money, but has been well worth it). Thanks for the great service, and for taking care of our family.

Some good products including ready to serve salads and meals. Mom said in store baked white bread wasn't great, tasted and smelled like old vegetable oil. I hate that they don't stock bigger quantities of some of their brand of popular pet foods and don't restock it often enough; I need to be able to buy at least three or four cases of 12 lg cans PC Turkey cat food at a time. I found some prices are lower here than at a No Frills after I made a special trip because St. Thomas Supersentre / Superstore was out of stock again. I like that I save money with PC Points that add up pretty quick when I activate that week's deals emailed to me; would like it if cashiers asked if you want to redeem points and would automatically give points for bringing your own bags. RCSS website was very slow to load and search; seems poorly designed and I couldn't see quantities in stock compared to other stores. I found some good unadvertised sales on makeup and other items in store. Store doesn't price match to as many places as Walmart and employees seem to disagree with in store price match signage posted; need to print clear info about it as well as when department heads have to be contacted to do price match.

This is just like any other Walmart I have been to. It has everything you expect inside. This one is a bit larger so it has the photocenter, haircuts, portrait studio, McDonald’s the whole nine yards. Bring the family to get a deal on soap and leave with your hands full of things you didn’t know you needed. There is one big area for self checkouts and another larger area with people working at checkouts too.

I had never visited this store, and the layout was different than I was used to. She saw that I needed help and kindly offered to show me where my items were. What a gem! Donna cares, and you can tell she takes pride in her job. A+. What a wonderful person. She made my horrendous first day of vacation something that made me smile.

Ok, so Walmart is one of the few box stores you cant tap your card for a purchase and what is even more horrid is that staff are not equipped with cleaners right at the register to clean the keypad (in the very least) between customers. When I questioned the cashier she didn't know what to say, then said we do clean it every half hour or so, I replied well what good does that do me when this virus can live for up to 10 mins on hands and 4-8 hours on plastic (can't remember). This woman was clueless which is sad, it is the employer's responsibility to make sure their employee are properly trained. Walmart I seldom shop at your stores because of your poor business practices and the fact that you are no cheaper than anywhere else. But you have now sunk to a new low.

A young lady that works in customer service named Emma helped my Mom out a great deal today. My Mom recently had a severe reaction to an infusion treatment which has caused her nerve issues that hopefully will get better. She's not able to walk on her own right now and had to use the bathroom at Walmart. She was using a scooter there. Obviously I couldn't go into the woman's bathroom with her so I asked Emma if she could just help my mom get in and out of the stall. She didn't hesitate at all and just asked where she was. I told her and she went right in and helped Mom in and waited for her to help her back to the scooter. So thank you kindly Emma. You saved my Mom from the emotional meltdown she was very close to having.

In the midst of a renovation, the store shelves are virtually empty. Generally they don't have well stocked shelves but, during this visit, it was even worse. Much of the dairy items and many of the prepackaged salads were expiring very shortly. I was searching for sliced turkey pepperoni and was rooks that they no longer carry it but they have regular sliced pepperoni. Unfortunately, they stopped carrying single packs and only have a huge double package. I mean who honestly needs that much pepperoni?? The only reason I gave 2 stars is due to the helpfulness of the staff.

I have found customer service has been slowly getting bad, but today was the worst!! I had an employee who has been working there for years tell me that they didn't know how to do the scanning code of practice and that I would have to go to customer service. I was using the self scan, which was the only registers with no line up and the customer service had at least 12 people in line. I asked this employee to call someone else to help, she looked..did not call, and stated no one else was there. She voided my transaction and told me to go to a cashier with a yellow vest. She was wearing a yellow vest!! I changed lanes and proceeded to wait another 20 mins before I could check out. That's just one problem. I have had cashiers toss my purchases in the bags, I also had one girl who put my purchases down in the bagging area, even though I had a bag open and waiting, she then proceeded to walk away and left me to bag and the lineup waiting. These cashier have both been long time employees. Some cashiers are doing a great job, but the ones who aren't make me want to shop elsewhere. There is also one of the most rudest men I have ever met as a greeter! He saw me walking out with a big package, not bagged and yelled at me "receipt" as I was getting it out he yelled it 2 more times. I can't even look at him when I am in the store. Also, the yellow vest might be a good idea in theory, but quite often these employees are standing together "chatting" and are very unapproachable. I am at the Midland store almost daily. Those days are done. I will be getting prescriptions filled and price matching non local stores, and that's it! I am very disappointed in a store I used to enjoy, I will continue to shop locally, just not there.

Straight up: This store isn’t ever stocked and they often leave stuff to be stocked in the aisles. When you go to the aisles there are barely any products on the shelves or there is a lack of prices tags available leaving you to have to stop what you are doing to find one of the scarce employees around to find a price check gun. Also if you do find a product on the shelf they are often the wrong my item with the wrong price associated to them. I went looking for toilet paper and found the entire row blocked by deliveries of the products to be put on shelves but I couldn’t even get to them if I wanted to. Long story short if you really need something go there but you may have to drive to west Edmonton as they often don’t have what you’re are looking for.

It's been a long time since I've had such a personable, professional, great spirited and funny cashier!!! I've been a manager at Shoppers for 10 years and Gary is EXACTLY what I would hope for in every cashier we hire. I hope this comment makes it to Managements attention. Abysmal customer service. Went to purchase a public mobile sim card listed on their website for $10 and was told they wouldn't sell it to me unless I activated in store at the time of purchase. I can purchase it online and at several other retailers in town with no restrictions. Electronics couldn't tell me why and after 20 minutes of waiting for the manager it was time to go. Great store if you need to pick up a box of this or that but pretty much useless if you need to interact with anyone at all. The only Bright spot was the friendly lady at customer service, who while powerless to help, seemed genuinely apologetic. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Visited today for an electric pump to inflate a boat. Very helpful. Called 3 Walmarts at 7 am when they opened, looking for the new Nintendo Switch. One didn't answer, one said they didn't have them straight away, but here they asked me to call back in 10 minutes and they'd check the back shipment. It's Walmart. If I can get what I need at a Canadian owned company, especially a locally owned small business, I will, even if the price tag is higher. I prefer to keep my money in Canada. The service here is often grumpy. I've encountered a downright condescendingly rude attitude on one occasion, and several times I've searched for help only to find employees chatting together. I'm too polite to interrupt a conversation, even if it shouldn't be happening. The store is often a mess, too, and it can be difficult to determine the price of things because not all items are in the right spot with prices clearly labelled. This really is a last-resort stop for me.

It's a basic Walmart, everything u need under one roof so how can u go wrong with that? It is how Walmart has basically taken over the western part of the world since they get their cheap products from China and sell them cheap over here and undercut all of the middle men and small local businesses unfortunately and since everyone is so hard up for cash these days how do u compete with someone who sells the same stuff if not just as good for a cheaper price, u can't cuz it's simple math and common sense, no matter how badly people want to keep things local and local jobs and such when their broke and don't have as much money for the local stuff their going to go with the cheaper alternative and theres a whole lot more of that type of people these days sorry to say... anyways it's cleaner than alot of the bigger city ones and has a nice bakery/deli section and a McDonald's that is better than the actual McDonald's restaurant on Talbot street where everything sits allday long (they make stuff fresh to order at tho location so prefer it to the Talbot one anyday)...

I had to go in store to purchase something, and it was very busy on a Friday afternoon, and they were a great many people not wearing masks inside. As a nurse, I found this is very distressing, especially since variants are spreading across the province, and there are signs saying that masks are mandatory.

Good store, however they are under renovations. Can be a bit confusing. I bought AAA Rib steaks on sale there and I would hardly qualify them as AAA. Not much marbling and kind of tough.

Worst experience in a Walmart. Ten people standing around and no one willing to help. Stood around for 30 minutes waiting for someone to unlock a door in electronics. Retrain you staff to be more helpful. I was actually willing to drive hours out of my way to avoid this place and just go to the next Walmart.

It is a Walmart, so it pretty much has everything you need. This one has a big parking lot with plenty of room and lots of places to return your cart. If you are interested, there are self-serve checkouts available here. Washrooms are clean.

Who is out there reading Walmart reviews?? I'm pretty sure the entirety of North America can be divided into "has been to Walmart" and "is morally against Walmart", but for the love undecided person in Canada who might be considering the St Thomas Walmart: It's a clean Walmart supercenter, with pretty good departments stocking the basics of life. This Walmart, as all Walmarts do, stocks really cheap good made with really low quality parts. If that's what you need, then Walmart is your store. If you are in the fourtunate position to be able to take moral stances against things like big box stores, then I'm very happy for you and warn you that Walmart is a big box store. Summary: a good Walmart, for a Walmart, if you like Walmarts. :|

Typical Walmart. Shelves half stocked all the time. Don’t expect any help, but it will have everything for you if your willing to look long enough. I really need to learn to avoid as much as possible. May the odds be forever in your favor!!

My wife placed an online order for November 24th at 5-6pm. When I arrived at 5pm, I found myself lining up behind the building due to not enough parking stalls. The manager was then coming and walking from vehicle to vehicle explaining they made a mistake and too many people were allowed to book in for the 4-5pm slot. Okay fine, i said no big deal and i don't mind waiting, however, when it was finally my turn and i pulled into the parking space i was informed they couldn't find my order. i got my wife to text me photos of the purchase and the order number. after waiting even longer they come back and tell me they had an issue and it would be resolved by today(November 25th) and that i could "come and pick up my groceries at any time" and they expressed they were sorry i wasted my time in the massive line up to find out my order wasn't ready. Okay fine. So today was phone calls, being told i would be called back. The phone call happened at 12pm. There was never a call back. we ended up calling them again at 5pm after trying to cancel the order online (which wasn't allowed because the order was in progress on our end even though they never received it?) and we spoke to them to get it cancelled over the phone. No compensation, nothing. Wasted my time and treated me like they hoped I would just disappear or go away. Would not recommend these comedians, they have no idea how to organize a business.

It’s great, aisles spaced out much wider (perfect for social distancing), prices fair and square with lots of good deals. There are many assorted international and local varieties of products to choose from too. The staff are very friendly and helpful, customer service is always good. I like the way things are done there, it makes it easy to get there and find what you need with out any hassle.

I mean, it's Wal Mart. Unfortunately for this wal Mart, there have been numerous times they've been put of products. Hot dog buns was the most recent product they were completely out of. Annoying so worth noting.

This wall Mart is poorly managed. The check out lanes are always understaffed and the management does not seem to care. Staff are not happy and they tell the customers about it. There may be better places to shop. Prices are reasonable but selection is not good at times.

This store always has everything you need and for most things unbeatable prices. The two things I dislike about the store is that there is no restaurant or Tims and on express check out. However the cashiers do a great job so your not waiting in a line up.
