I forget if I wrote a review so I will send this now. I have had good dental care since I was very young and as an adult I look at the service critically. Also I am more knowledgeable now about freezing. Therefore I am in a good position to be able to say Dr. Pite knows what he is doing! He is excellent at delivering local anesthetic which makes such a difference in the procedure.

I hesitate to give them high praise because once you go there you will never go anywhere else. In that case I may not be able to get in. I have been to many dentists and that office it the best and well worth any possible wait. The staff is excellent and always concerned with patient comfort. The staff even laughs at my puns. "Why to people hate root canals? Because they are so unnerving."

Since when is it customary to shake hands with healthcare professionals on introduction? It just isn't usual anymore. My experience was excellent. Good manners make a difference and I am so appreciative of the extra care the front staff showed me. Thank you Laura and Shanti for making me comfortable and welcome. Jamie provided personable and professional service as a hygienist and Dr "call me Adam" Pite took his time. Employee happiness is a good indication of a positive atmosphere, so I got the inside scoop for you all: working there is good too! I haven't had any extensive work done yet, but as it stands this clinic deserves five stars. Other perks: stylish sunnies during examinations, coffee service, and insurance administration.

I thought because they had such a good rating here on google I was in good hands. Turns out they are unorganized and in my experience did not follow up when they said they would and therefore I was told to wait another 4 months for an appointment. I would avoid this office and find one that actually cares about their patients. They are friendly, but I need more then friendly to trust a dentist office.

I write this on behalf of my elderly father, who is no longer able to drive or arrange transport, or keep track of many things, so I now bring him. He is treated with care and kindness, and receives excellent dental care. Dr Pite met with me to discuss our goals of care for my dad. Recently dad had a fall the morning of a dental apt, something I shared with staff and Dr Pite telephoned dad's home that evening, just to check on him.

I found his practice when I first moved to Victoria 5 years ago, and since that time my family has all moved here as well and they are all patients here - so would I recommend him to my own family? After moving permanently to Canada, I contacted a few dental clinics and this was the only office that got back to me. Due to being on the short-notice list, I was able to be seen 3 months before my initial appointment date. Pre-appointment correspondence was clear and informative, and the front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and made all the benefits admin simple. Can a dentist visit be enjoyable? Yes it can be. Dr. Pite and his team make the visit as pleasant as possible for the patient. The staff is always friendly and even though it is a busy office it never feels rushed. Everyone is taking as much time as needed, especially when you are nervous, and - based on previous experiences - not the biggest fan of anything teeth related. I can highly recommend choosing the Oak Bay Dental Clinic.

I've been a patient of Oak Bay Dental Clinic since 2008 when I came across the practice after being the patient of another Victoria dentist and requiring some emergency care for a crown which required attention. I haven't regretted making the switch. In comparison to my previous dentist, I've received better explanations of what has been happening with my dental health and preventative measures from Dr. Pite and from the office's staff, including follow-up at times outside of office hours. Dr Pite and the whole team at Oak Bay Dental Clinic are so friendly and welcoming. The receptionist greets you by name as you walk in, and there is relaxing music playing in the background. The staff are all professional and helpful, making going to the dentist a much more pleasant experience than it sometimes can be! I have occasionally had to cancel an appointment, but have always managed to be squeezed in last minute due to somebody else's cancellation. Highly recommended.

Dr. Pite has good hands. He asked if I felt pain in my wisdom tooth three times before putting more freezing directly into my tooth each time, then carefully took the tooth out with zero sensation. It is now healed over and absolutely perfect. Dr. Pite is simply the best and I couldn't be happier.

I was long overdue for a visit to the dentist. From my first contact, Dr. Pite and his staff made me feel welcome and at ease. I have had two or three services like a crown or filling replacement, and following each of them, to my great surprise, Dr. Pite called me that evening to see if I were in any discomfort (I was not). I am receiving 2 new implants from Dr Pite and am now through the initial oral surgery to remove two very nasty old posts from 35 years ago, and have the new implants in. My procedure went very smoothly, with minimal discomfort and surprisingly virtually no pain. I believe this was in part due to the great care and attention to both pre-procedure and post support. The right meds were prescribed and the regimen to take these well covered off, leaving me most prepared. Both Dr Pite and his entire care team ensured the best possible experience. Dr Pite is a most patient centred dentist who went to extra effort to ensure needed graft tissue and bone were available to complement the work completed to improve results . I am almost looking forward to my temps and then new crowns once my gums and bone settle.

My Papa is a miserable old man, with bad teeth, and a fear of dentists so it was with some trepidation and reluctance that I persuaded him to make an appointment with Dr Pike to see if something could be done with the few teeth he had left. As we dragged him into the office kicking and screaming the friendly staff quickly put him at ease with friendly smiles and soft words. As a matter of fact one of the assistants to Dr Pike had such a lovely smile that my Papa pointed at her and said he wanted a smile like that! Well after several appointments all my Papa's teeth have been fixed and he has a new smile just like the assistant he admired. Now all he talks about is the wonderful people in the office and how professional, friendly, and customer focused Dr Pike is--- even though he looks like he is only 16! My Papa now needs a hearing aid and is demanding to go back to Dr Pike's office as they have convinced him they can do anything for an old miserable guy. And you know what, I may just try it ,if it will make Papa happy!!! and they are likely to pull it off as well.

Friends at work warned me about some of the un-pleasantries I should expect from having a crown done. After the two step procedure I had to go back to work and suggest that they consider moving over to my dentist.
