Dr. Born was amazing to work with and was nothing but friendly and informative. I'm surprised to read reviews that say he is arrogant.. We have met on many occasions and he only seems to be well-informed during our meetings. One of the reasons I picked Dr. Born was he actually scared me and made me second guess my surgery choice. For me this was positive because he explain the risks clearly where other consultations seemed to sugar coat things which gave me the impression that he's not looking to grab money from any client he can. He was clear and direct with what to expect and with the various possible complications. I didn't believe him when he told me the recovery would be minimal and fairly painless but I cannot be more surprised at how right he was! I believe this is because he promotes a healthy active lifestyle and encouraged me to workout, eat healthy, and take vitamins in the months leading up to my surgery. I was back at the gym literally the very week after my surgery. As for the consult fee, I had 3 consults and paid at each one of them. Not sure why people are getting upset about this when it seems to be a standard business practice at many of the reputable clinics across Toronto. I have recommend various friends and know they will be 1000% cared for in his hands. Also the staff is amazing! The nurse Yolanda is great to work with, super friendly and professional they couldn't have hired a better woman! Shout out to Andrea too can't forget her just as amazing!!

We didn't mind the 'retainer'; in this business you can imagine how many tire-kickers one might get. In our view, anyone wishing to make voluntary medical modifications should want a service that's discerning - we're not talking about a cold at a publicly funded walk-in clinic after all. re: Staff: A+. First rate and made my wife and I feel very comfortable. Andrea was patient and answered all our questions, there was also a year long delay because of a pregnancy. Yolanda couldn't have been sweeter - again patient and answered all our questions. re: Dr. Born. A+ in terms of an honest opinion and capability to deliver on exactly what he said he would (including what would happen if we strayed off the recommended path!). My wife is so happy with the results, subtle - people still keep saying a year later that she musty have lost weight - she's almost 5'10", 120 lbs with a slightly larger chest - they can't figure it out - just say she looks great. Perfect job! I do understand bedside manner criticism's - I work with a lot of mathematicians , stats folks - in short: quants. I would place many doctors I've met in this category. Trying to not box them all in - but I have found in my experience managing people like this, that they can treat things that are quite personal, in a detached manner like it's a puzzle to be solved. That can come across as uncaring. Especially when you add in the complexity of making a first impression and the understandable apprehension & nervousness a prospective patient can feel - it would take very little perceived provocation for things to go south. We have experienced it - and quickly worked through it knowing he was one of the most skilled. I'm sure the doctor is aware of it. Feeling cared for is a big part of the experience - it's no easy thing to place your looks - what you (want to) see in the mirror in the hands of others. Final assessment: If you want results from a very talented doctor - go see Born and his staff. Highly Recommended.

I’m about 8 years late with this review but had to take time to write since, after all this time, Dr. Born’s work is still the best in the business. I had breast augmentation done in my early twenties and now, in my thirties, his work still looks so good, no one believes me when I tell them they were “done.” I’ll be going back this year for some filler in my cheeks and Botox in my forehead. Even though this work could probably be done by many I would never trust anyone else with my face. Trust me, while some have called Dr. Born arrogant, it’s deserved. I’m never met a more talented surgeon. Truly an artist and worth every penny.

Can I leave 10 stars? Wow. Extremely disappointed in some of the poor reviews here. I have had 3 surgeries. First 2 were with another well know surgeon. I have to be honest, had I known about Dr. Born I am certain I would have sought him out initially. This time around I did research. In fact I would say I was almost OCD about it. Dr Born was in my top 3 and upon consulting with the other two I went with my original choice.... Dr. Born. I could not be more content. I scheduled my implant removal, breast wall reconstruction and fat grafting with him without hesitation. Not once did I experience any arrogance or conceit. Dr. Born's team were and continue to be helpful and reassuring. I asked ALOT of questions before scheduling and after. Not once was I put off or made to feel uncomfortable. Dr. Born's surgical staff and after care are ridiculously lovely people and had me at ease and laughing in the operating room. No sooner was that needle in that next thing I remember is waking up with the most wonderful and caring nurse (Elem). I went home perfectly coherent (tired, sore and a little bit nauseous) and lived on Advils instead of the stronger meds prescribed. Why? Because the pain was nowhere near that which I endured when I had my implants first put in or even after when I had them replaced. I am now 6 weeks post op and improving weekly. I have followed their instructions . I have some scar tissue buildup on one side (I was initially quite nervous about this) and following their instructions to massage 2-3 times daily (albeit extremely uncomfortable at times) it is starting to break down. The 2 incisions under each of my breasts look so much better than my first 2 surgeries - this wasn't a concern for me when I scheduled the surgery however I am aware some people are very conscious of this. I look and feel almost back to normal. There is nothing more reassuring and comforting, especially when contemplating undergoing surgery, than a team of people who take your questions/concerns as seriously as you do and are able to converse with you as a person instead of using medical jargon that the average person does not comprehend. Will I go back to Dr. Born and his team should I decide to undergo any other surgical or non-surgical cosmetic surgery? ABSOLUTELY.

I had BBA with Dr Born 1.5 years ago. I would recommend his office for any surgical procedure that they perform. It was my first time seeing a plastic surgeon for any procedure and he came recommended by a good friend of mine. His staff is by far the friendliest, helpful and knowledgable people I have come in contact with in any medical procedure that I have had so far. When I made the decision to go for a consultation, I had the appointment within two weeks. He and his staff were able to answer every possible question that I had and they offer a two-week prep before your surgery with supplements and vitamins and it is definitely something that I would do again and would recommend to anybody thinking about having surgery. I was quite ill with whooping cough before my procedure and I was afraid I was not going to be able to have it done, but I do feel that the supplements I took before hand where what made it possible for me to have the procedure. Also Yolanda, one of Dr. Børns nurses called me every day to check on me to see how I was doing before hand, she is totally amazing, very friendly and she made me feel so confident that I was OK to go ahead with the surgery. I am very happy with the results and have had no regrets!!

Excellent patient care and results. I rarely have the time to post any reviews but these results that I received are life changing. I notice my skin feels smoother with the BBL and Halo treatment by Sciton. I had many brown spots and they have faded or have completely gone! My fine lines on my face are not even visible. I’ve been in the sun most of my twenties and you can see the results of dull skin, sun damage, wrinkles along with large pores. So far...I can see a big difference in the way my skin feels and looks. It’s only been a short time after my procedure so I can’t wait to experience more positive results! Before, when I applied concealer, my brown spots were still so visible. Now I can see the results of major fading or no age spots. My skin is glowing and almost dewy! I feel super confident now that my face looks so much more healthy and vibrant. Make up just glides on because the fine lines are almost obsolete. I barely need to wear any make up! I would recommend Dr. Born’s office for any skin care treatments or advice. Yolanda and Brittany the nurses were fantastic. They provided great communication including being super friendly and knowledgeable. I felt really comfortable because I was nervous. Everything was explained to me before my procedure and after. During the procedure I was asked how I was doing through the whole process which made me feel so much more at ease. They really showed me that they really cared. I was also contacted after the procedure to see how I was doing which I really appreciated. Also the aftercare regiment was explained to me well. I can’t wait continue to see the awesome results. I know I can count on Brittany and Yolanda at TMB Cosmetic Surgery to help me with any of my skin care needs in the future. They told me not to hesitate to contact them with any help that I may need. Innovative procedures, proven results and excellent customer service. I’m so happy!

If you wanna be disrespected while paying for it ($250 consultation) this is the place to go. Dr. Born almost intimidates patients by his arrogant attitude so you'd think he's the one. He did not treat me like a human being or that my time matters. This whole consultation fee should be illegal because once he's not interested in you from the first impression they'll kick you out very nicely by making you feel like dump person.. never again

After 2 babies and 5 years of breastfeeding my breasts had lost a considerable amount of volume and firmness. They had an "empty" feeling that I wasn't happy with at all. After I was finished breastfeeding my second (and last) child, I started to think about breast lift and possibly augmentation. I started looking around and researching on the web and talking to friends and ultimately decided on Dr. Born. Office and Staff: The staff and office are all very warm, welcoming, and friendly. I also cannot say enough about Yolanda, the nurse. She is such a warm, reassuring, and most of all knowledgable person, she made me feel immediately at ease. Andrea, the surgical coordinator is also amazing, and was always available to answer all of my questions. Dr. Born himself is extremely professional, and also when you speak to him he just exudes a confidence and level of knowledge that made me feel extremely comfortable. He listens to what you want and makes suggestions based on the current state of your breasts. He's easygoing and funny too, which also makes it a lot easier and less daunting. The Surgery: Most importantly, Dr. Born is an EXTREMELY skilled surgeon. I got a breast life and augmentation. He kept telling me that pain would be minimal but I have to admit I was skeptical. Well, I shouldn't have been. I had very minimal pain after my surgery, basically about the same as when milk "comes in" after you've had a baby. More of a mild discomfort, and this only lasted for several days. I didn't even need to take the prescribed pain meds, advil was more than enough for me. This, to me, is a sign of an extremely skilled surgeon. The Results: I couldn't be happier with my beautiful new breasts. They are so natural looking, which is exactly what I wanted. I am 8 weeks post-op now and I just love them. Scarring is very minimal. Dr. Born is not the cheapest out there, but he is, in my opinion, the most skilled. I do not regret my decision in the least and would recommend Dr. Born and his wonderful staff to anyone.

Felicia is amazing!!! I've dealt with acne for as long as I remember and have acne scars. She recommended microbleeding and it has changed my life! I have done two sessions so far and the results are amazing. I now go out with no make up on which never happened before. Not only she is great at what she does, Felicia genuinely cares about her clients and follows up to make sure everything is as wanted. I highly recommend her!

I go to Dr. Born regularly for my botox injections. I am very pleased with his work. I never look overdone, or have a frozen looking face. Just natural with a few less frown lines. One day he suggested that I try a little filler around my lips. I was very reluctant to at first because I already have pretty full lips. He explained to me that he would not make me look like a duck (as I put it), he would just give a little definition around the edges of my lips to enhance what I already had. I decided to take his advice, since I have a lot of faith in his professional judgement and aesthetic eye. I must say that I was completely happy with the results! It was in the summer and I was driving home. A guy on the road was waving to me and I thought something was wrong with my car, so I rolled down my window. He asked me for my number, LOL! I laughed and drove away and told Dr. Born that it was his talented hands that made me more attractive that day! I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him when I need anything more.

After doing much homework on the Best Plastic Surgeons, I chose Dr.Born because he truly is the Best there is! In January 2018 I had the surgical procedure called under eye blepharoplasty. I was so nervous really for nothing because Dr.Born did an amazing job - I am so pleased with the result and I still can't believe how great it looks, you can't see any scars. I continue to go to him every 3 months for maintenance injections/botox, as he is a master injector. Without a doubt, Dr. Born is the only surgeon I would recommend. Dr Born is a dedicated, passionate surgeon, probably the best in the business right now! I recently had the whole package: blepharoplasty, face and neck surgery. Well done, excellent results. Looking fresh, maybe a bit younger too, but nothing dramatic. I like what I see in the mirror, early morning, no makeup. It’s important to respect the pre and post surgery protocol religiously: take your vitamins, drink tons of water, ask about your regular meds( you will be able to continue to take most of them). If you want your recovery time to be significantly shorter, use the hyperbaric chamber. Five sessions did wonders for me! Many thanks to Dr Born and all his staff for their attitude, attention and care. I wish our whole medical system would function like Dr Born’s practice!
