I have had two great experiences at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery with Dr. Gervais. My results are great and I couldn't be happier. The staff are incredibly helpful and caring! Both Dr. Gervais and the patient coordinator communicated clearly with me and answered any questions I had. It was clear that they wanted me to be comfortable heading into surgery. I often have a sensitivity to anesthesia and become very nauseous afterward, but at MPS they use a type of anesthesia that is slightly more costly but much less harsh on the body--at least, my body! I had the best wake-up ever! Not even a moment of nausea or discomfort related to anesthesia. Thank you to Dr. G and all the amazing nurses and other professionals who cared for me at various points along the way!

I am not normally one to post reviews, but thought I might be able to help someone out. I had BA surgery on 1/20/17. About 2 months after surgery I noticed the left hadn’t dropped so went in to see the Dr. and was told all looked fine. It wasn’t until I went in a couple of months later for a possible infection in the incision site when I mentioned it again that I was told I had capsular contracture and was given a quote to get it corrected. Based on the nonchalant nature of the diagnosis I thought I’d get a second (and third) opinion... because I don’t want to deal with this again. Both of the subsequent opinions shared I do not have capsular contracture (or if I do very slight) but rather the floor fell out on my right side making the left look higher. Both of the other doctors shared it’s rare (but not impossible) to have that happen and it’s usually because of how the initial procedure is conducted (ie the pocket is created). In a nutshell, I am now scheduled with a new doc to have revision surgery on both that includes creating a new floor (which will be very painful I am told) - the revision surgery will cost $12k+. I am only sharing this because I feel like at Mpls Plastic Surgery I was just one of hundreds (maybe thousands) of people they “deal with” each year. I just wanted to go from a 32AA to a 32B and I totally get that there were risks, but when I had problems and was looking for some understanding, empathy and an accurate solution... I got NOTHING. I have a friend that went here and had no problem, but if you do have problems like I did, I wouldn’t expect great care, they just want to get you in and out as quickly as possible - even if it means a misdiagnosis.

I started doing research online and narrowed my consults down to 2 clinics in my area. His website is incredibly thorough, includes scientific backing, and is very professional. The reason I chose Dr. Gervais and his team was because everyone was always very thorough. Every single member of his staff from the schedulers, the financial counselor, the nurses, and Dr. Gervais took time to answer my questions whether it was in-person, over the phone, or through the secure portal. They were very gracious when I wanted to schedule a second fitting appointment right before my surgery date and accommodated their schedule to squeeze me in. Communication leading up to my surgery and following was also reassuring. Another reason I chose Dr. Gervais was because he does surgery in-house rather than being admitted into a hospital. With COVID, I felt this was a much better option than some other clinics. I also liked that I got to meet and chat with the anesthesiologist before going into the operating room. They also made it very easy to communicate with my designated care taker and he felt very comfortable with the post-op care once they had gone over everything before and after my surgery. I really appreciated the same-day phone call and all of the post-op follow ups from the clinic. I had zero nausea after my procedure and no pain (moderate soreness), but it's different for everyone. I'm about 2 months post-op now and feel great. I've been back in my usual routine and easing back into more intense workouts. I have zero swelling or tightness, the implants have settled and softened nicely, and my scars are healing well (I was also given a tube of scar minimizer at my 6 week follow up - it's the little touches that are really nice). Overall, an absolutely fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend Dr. Gervais. The only teeny negative was having to book out a little further than I would have liked because he was so busy. However, it does show he's sought after and his patients are willing to wait rather than go somewhere else.

I had a breast augmentation with a lift surgery done. Although it was more than I initially thought it was going to be, you don't look for a bargain when it comes to life altering surgeries! I'm about 2.5 months post op, and LOVING THE RESULTS. I'm a mom of 2 and always wanted to fix my breasts after breastfeeding, etc. They are so beautiful and again, can't compliment Dr Gervais enough. My surgery was completed on November 10, 2017. I am currently 8 weeks post op and I could not be more happy with my decision or my results. A friend referred me to MPS and I could not be happier. I was not worried about my results because I saw hers as well as looked at other Surgeons photos they had online. I had to drive 5+ hours for appointments and follow-ups and it was worth every mile (on my brand new auto) and every minute. My recovery might have been unusually simple - but my advice would be this - be in your most fit condition when you go - not only for the best results but for a simple pain free recovery. Ask questions, follow their orders (wear your wrap for 4-8 weeks) and get plenty of rest for the first few days. Dr. Gervais team is great, kind, welcoming, friendly and I have never felt uncomfortable or awkward and I am pretty modest. Dr. Gervis messed my breast up so bad , I hate looking at them . I traveled all the way from Nashville , Tn to have them done because I wanted Gel Silicone so bad , plus I read all the great reviews . The surgery it's self went great far as surgery . But the out come was terrible . I now suffer from a bad situation called " Double Bubble & Downing " ! Clearly the breast I chose were to big for my body now there's a big giant separation from my natural breast and also the implants . I thought DR. Gervis would be able to fix it since its only been 5 months , but NO there still wanting to charge me over $3000 just to fix ! I honestly feel like the doctor could have just told me in the beginning the breast would not fix instead of simply using me as a experiment hoping it work !

I had breast augmentation surgery one month ago with Dr. Gervais, and I couldn't be happier with my results. I had lost 100 pounds over the past few years from eating healthy and working out, and I was left with very little breast tissue and some loose skin. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Gervais, and I will be forever grateful for that recommendation. I was really concerned about maintaining an athletic physique and didn't want anything too big. I have to admit the day of surgery I wasn't 100% confident in the sizes I was considering. I was concerned they would give me breasts larger than I wanted. Meaning, he was willing to tell me right upfront that it's possible that I might not get the results that I was picturing in my head. I don’t even know where to begin. Dr. Gervais’ bed side manner is disgusting. Rolled his eyes at me. Was arrogant and ignored my concerns. Was a gentleman when I was with people and charmed them, but when I was alone he was a completely different person. Very disgusting and manipulative. Regretted ever going to this facility for services. I have had several issues that I won’t discuss that I went somewhere else for. Find another surgeon, there are plenty that will have your best interest at heart instead of seeing you as dollar signs.

The results are everything I wanted and more, the staff/experience through the processs was organized, seamless and wonderful and continues to be wonderful at each check up. Couldn’t recommend Dr. Gervais and his team more!

HORROR STORY! I had a breast augmentation 6 months ago, and I can’t even look at them they are so HORRIBLE! I’m in tears writing this Day of surgery: The first thing I hear walking into the office that day from the nurse at the front desk was, “I’m just filling in and not familiar with things here, so I’ll let the front office lady know you are here.” We got there an hour early, but after waiting for almost 2 hours I asked the front desk person how much longer it was going to be, because I was starting to get a little anxious and no one had said ONE WORD to me. “Oh, they are just running behind on the first surgery it shouldn’t be too much longer.” As I am sitting there I am seriously thinking about leaving… my surgery was supposed to be 1.5 hours ago at this point and I just didn’t have a good feeling about it, but I already paid, took the time off work, and have wanted to do this for YEARS so I figured now is my chance. Finally, after 2.5 hours of waiting they call me back to try on again, as I wanted to make sure I had picked the correct size prior to surgery. It seems that the number 1 complaint is that women wish they had gone bigger. I was trying to hide this surgery from people and not go “too big,” but after much thought I decided to pick the size that made me happy. I felt very RUSHED through this but felt confident in the size I had selected. I was then put into a pre-op room where I sat for a long time until Dr. Gervais came in. He didn’t make eye contact at all RUSHED in, said I couldn’t have the side I wanted, scribbled some marks on me, and rushed out. He was maybe in the room for a total of 5 mins? I was fine with the fact that the size I had picked he said were too big for what little breast tissue I had, but it was very apparent he was in a hurry to get out of there. The closer and closer I got to the operating table the worse and worse my feelings about it got. Anesthesiologist was AMAZING! He was the only person all day that didn’t make me feel like I was being rushed, and he thought of me as a person not just an afternoon surgery. HE IS THE ONLY REASON I DIDN’T WALK OUT RIGHT THEN AND THERE. My surgery ran over and at NO POINT did ANYONE update my husband as to what was going on. He seriously was sitting there thinking if he didn’t see an ambulance pull up everything must be ok. Post-op: Dr. Gervais never spoke to my husband to tell him how surgery went. The anesthesiologist of course did speak with my husband. The next thing I remember after surgery was waking up in my car. My husband says they had me laying down in the chair to allow me time to wake up. Everyone had left except for the nurse “just filling in,” and the front desk person. Right outside my room the nurse and front desk person were discussing what to do about locking up because everyone was gone, and the nurse filling in didn’t know what to do? My husband said they tried to sit me up right away, but I was throwing up because I hadn’t fully come out of the anesthesia yet. That of course didn’t stop them from rolling me right out of the building. So, I was rolled out of the building with a puke bag totally out of it, because it was 5pm and they all had to leave by 5 apparently. After 6-8 weeks at my follow up I expressed to Dr. Gervais that my breasts were uneven, that my “tiny scar” was not in the infra-mammary fold but it was in fact on my breast and very visible, and there was a huge line down both of my breast. His reply was basically that nothing is perfect, and that’s just how it goes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now I have uneven breast causing my nipples to be uneven, huge scars that are extremely apparent, diagonal dents in both of my breast due to the implant being under my muscle (which is apparently what happens, even though I looked at 100 pictures online and didn’t see a single one), and towards the mid-line of my breast the implant is squishing up creating a rippling effect. TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!

Dr Gervais and staff are experienced and courteous. I chose Dr Gervais for augmentation surgery 20 years ago. I returned recently for maintenance/implant replacement. I do not have enough good things to say about Dr. Gervais and Minneapolis Plastic Surgery. After losing 85 lbs , I was as interested in an abdominalplasty. I had two consults prior to Dr. Gervais and immediately after seeing him knew he was the doctor for me . He answered all of my questions, made me feel very comfortable and that the truly cared. The entire staff was amazing throughout the process from the front desk staff, nurses and the care coordinator. I am so pleased with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Gervais to anyone. I will most definitely be seeing him for any future surgeries .

5 days out from lipo, when I could of used a tummy tuck but got lipo from Dr. Gervias and wow Im still swollen and brused of course and I still cant believe how much he shaped me ???????????????? Any bad review on here is prob not accurate my first experience was wonderful and worth every coin!

If I could give Dr. Gervais 0 stars I would, but because Google does not let me do that I will give him 1 star. Gervais was very rude and attempted to rush my surgery knowing beforehand that we spoke (actually kept in touch all that morning) and I told him I would be running late. He also grabbed my arm the day of surgery because I was late and he was upset. Instead of trying to rush and get upset I would understand if he just rescheduled the surgery date. After he grabbed my arm I decided I did not want to go through with the surgery anymore so I decided to cancel my surgery and ask for a refund. The woman who I spoke to about the refund said it would take about seven days for The refund to be processed. After about 4 to 5 days I got a call from them asking me if I would like to reschedule my surgery date. I said no. So they told me that they would take 50% of the money I paid them for my surgery. The amount I paid for the surgery was about $7700. I went Back up to his office to speak to him and he decided that I would pay him $1700. Which was fine long as I didnt get operated on by him, because I felt very unsafe with him. I really was looking forward to the surgery and was very disappointed in my experience. I would not recommend.
