This is the slowest process I have ever experienced!!!! We started with a meeting with Dr. Well man last May 2016, he referred my daughter to a sleep clinic and we went in July 2016 then nothing. I called in January to see if she had a surgery date scheduled and was offered a date that conflicted with her exams then nothing. Today (August 3, 2017) I called back to see if there is a surgery date scheduled and I was put on hold for more than 10 minutes then rudely told that they are too busy to accommodate me that she will try to call me back later today... We have been strung along for over a year!!!! Is there another surgeon??? Come on

Dr. Wellman was great and has a great sense of humour. I see on here that people have had negative experiences with reception. I had excellent treatment. Not sure what others are talking about. Even when I called in, she was friendly and very accommodating.

Iv waited over 2 months just to get an appointment. now i have waited another 3 months and still have not been contacted for surgury. i just called and the message said the phones have been turned off for the day and will be back on tomorow? its 1pm on a wednesday? Now the office is closed for the next 7 days?

He's a very nice doctor. But having said that, everything else related to him is frustrating. When your name is called you think that you're going to an exam room, but in reality you're going to a second waiting room! But all in all he's very quick and polite. He never did the tonsillectomy he said he would. ????The waiting list for that is a year!????

The receptionist ( forgot to get her name) was very pleasant to deal with and had a sense of humor ( which I haven't experienced often at doctor's offices). I was very pleased with the doctor too. It was a short appointment, but he was easy to deal with and very clear.

The whole office staff is great and Dr. Wellman is the nicest and most wonderful doctor you will ever meet. He loves and cares about people. My appointments have always been fast and I can always get an answer when I phone. It doesn't bother me if I have to call more than once if it is busy. The entire staff has always been nice.

The secretary is terrible, she's rude and does not reply to emails. I tried calling and the phones were off. I sent follow up emails and they weren't replied to for over a month. This is the worst medical office I have ever had to deal with. When I finally got in to see Dr. Wellman he was nice but showed no genuine interest in actually diagnosing my issue. After waiting 4 months for an appointment he quickly wrote me a perscription and had me in and out of his office in 5 minutes. The prescription made my condition worse and I was never able to get another appointment because the secretary was so bad. I eventually found another ENT and it was a night and day difference.

If I had to recommend an ENT to any friends or family Dr.Wellman would be the first person hands down, with being tired of the medical field Dr.Wellman was able to give me some hope in feeling better. I was treated almost immediately and when there were more concerns he always ensured I was being looked after and that he would do anything in his power to help me get back to my old self. Not only was amazed with the kind, gentle and empathetic ways of Dr.Wellman his receptionist Jill is by far the sweetest! Most of the time I find the receptionist in any doctors office to be very cold as they do have to deal with a lot but Jill always greeted me with a smile and continued to check in on me during this long journey! I am so very thankful I was referred to this amazing office and sad to see others feeling so negative as all I have to say is this is by far the BEST medical care I have received. Thank you!

Dr Wellman is a nice Dr and efficient, very laidback, sometimes good to be, but you need to ask a lot of questions to get answers, but gets to work done. Oh but a totally different story regarding his secretary/receptionist regarding her nasty attitude, poor poor customer service if some, she’s probably been with Dr Wellman to long that she takes her position for granted and therefore her bad attitude and unprofessional manners, she should move on elsewhere were no interaction with people. She maybe efficient on the administrative side but keep away from people get an other receptionist.

Dr Wellman himself is a phenomenal doctor, if you can get passed his secretary. She rarely if ever answers phones (they are turned off 99% of the time) and she misses emails. Had my appointment changed without notice and found out thru the automated confirmation 2 days before the appointment. Not impressed. Office wasn't all that friendly either. If you can get passed the bad office ethics than you will love Dr Wellman!

I can never reach anyone. If I call at 1:15. No one picks up. Just tried calling at 3:30 and they are closed for the day. I sent an email as instructed 3 days ago and have yet to get a response. Very frustrating.

Dr. Wellman is very nice but his secretary is is extremely unprofessional and makes it very difficult to see Dr Wellman. All appointment changes and follow up appointments must be scheduled via email and it took weeks for me to get a reply, even after sending follow up emails. When I did get a reply, the emails were often one or two word answers, not polite and didn't even provide the name of the person that was writing the email. I tried calling and the phones were off (I didn't even have the option to leave a voicemail). When I went for my initial appointment I smiled and was very kind with the secretary and she was completely uninterested, uncaring and came across like she couldn't care less about the patients coming through the office. I'm so disappointed by the lack of any level of customer care and service from the administration side of this office.

Dr Wellman and his receptionist are two amazing people! Very welcoming and helpful. Dr Wellman puts you at ease and tells you how it is. Answered all my questions and concerns. Highly recommend Dr Wellman as he is amazing at leaving near invisible scars after surgery! Can't thank him enough for what he has done and continues to do for me.

Suffered from a deviated septum for 30 years. Dr.Wellman took care of it, no pain, in and out and back to normal in a few days. Wish I would have done it sooner. Awesome guy.

My Partner saw Dr. Wellman 10yrs ago for polyps, I don't know much about that visit but I do know about this latest visits. fast forward 10yrs my partner has Huntington's Disease and polyps again. I want to say that Dr. Wellman's office has been awesome. Jill his receptionist has been very kind to us. With covid 19 and lockdown they have treated us with respect and understanding. Dave and I would like to say Thank You to both Dr. Wellman and to Jill.

It should NOT take 6 to 8 weeks to get an appointment date! And then wait time 6 to 8 months after that for an appointment are you kidding me. I havent even seen him yet and I'd like to give a negative star review. It doesnt take 6 to 8 weeks to look at a calendar and pick a day and time.

My son originally had to have tubes put in his ears as well as his adenoids out. He was 15 months when he had the surgery and it was done very well. It did take 7 months but we are from Londond where the wait is nearly 2 years so it was worth the wait by far! Every appt we had was great. Most ENTS are beyond busy and have surgery weeks and office weeks so I understand that it is difficult to contact them however their performance was outstanding. My son had a growth spurt and his tubes came out and we only waited 4 months for his 2nd surgery. We arent picky and whatever date they offered we took !!

Dr. Wellman is the most Professional and genuinely nice doctor I have ever dealt with. Yes the clinic is busy, yes it is difficult to get through to the reception at times. This is due to the fact that Guelph only has a handful of ENTs and a growing population. Do you really want a doctor that isn't in high demand? If you need to See a ENT specialist Dr.Wellman is definitely the guy to see.

Good doctor, poor receptionist on the phone chatting on a personal call eating pizza with an office full of patients. When i asked her a question, her response was so very rude. My daughter has been sick many times and now sick again. We will be looking for another doctor as its so difficult to even get the receptionist to acknolodge anyone but herself.

Still waiting on tonsil surgery over a year after the consultation. Good old Ontario medical care system though. But don't let that be an issue, Dr Wellman himself is a great doctor and certainly helped out my sinus issues, however the secretary system they have running there is insulting to patients who get referred by their doctors (sadly mine just closed her practice this week). If you call to inquire about when your surgery date is, they won't tell you and will call you to inform you of when it is. I was a little misled initially as well, I was told 4-6 months wait and when I called after 6 months, I was told that adults are 9-12 months, kids are 4-6 months on average. Well, 12 months has come and gone with no call about my surgery and I am still having sleep issues. It would be nice to know well in advance so that those who have surgery can book the time off work.

So just finished my call to this office and as expected after reading the comments the secretary is extremely rude. If she hates her job so much then go work at mcdonalds, atleast youll be in the back flippin burgers and dont have to deal with people..

I commented to my wife that I thought this office lacked the polish that one would expect when visiting a Medical office. I specifically commented that the receptionist was not friendly, I wouldn’t say rude just not friendly and welcoming. When I came to google to look up their number I looked at the feedback and it supported my experience. To be specific in my comments I would say that the receptionist has never made eye contact with me which telegraphs a message that customers are secondary to the other work on the office.

I can only say positive things about Dr.Wellman and his staff. Having had chronic sinus issues for years I finally decided it was time to fix the issue. While I did have to wait a few weeks to hear from his office once the initial appointment was made from then to the surgery was only a matter of a few weeks. I have never had any problems with the receptionist as stated in other comments. Dr. Wellman is professional, caring and a approachable physician . Guelph is very fortunate to have both Dr. Wellman and Dr. Linn that service our problems.
