I had a problem with my Molar tooth and decided finally to get rid of it. Being new comer in Canada, Not working on Oil Companies and not having Dental Insurance was proper reason not to visit any Dentist. But when i visited this clinic i was satisfied and relaxed. Dr. Brown listen me well and gave me proper advice and it works. 10 out of 10 to Dr. Brown and River Dental Clinic !!!

A wisdom tooth to pull out? I was terrified even at 58. My appointment with Dr. Carl M Yap was most enjoyable. The secretaries are very nice and Dr. Yap is really professional. Throughout my procedure, he reassured me and explained what he was doing. I had no pain or bleeding. I recommend Dr. Yap and his clinic for all the excellent services offered. Thank you Dr Carl M Yap!

I had a molar that was giving me trouble and I had reached my threshold on the pain that I was experiencing. I went into River City Dental and I was treated with kindness, respect, compassion, and as an equal partner in my decision regarding my tooth. Dr. Sinclair listened to what I wanted done she explained in detail what to expect Dr. Sinclair took the time to explain the pros and cons and after everything was said and done and she went to work on my mouth she had my tooth pulled before I even realize that she had pulled the tooth! Everyone from the front staff, to the assistant, to the Dentist was truly professional and very compassionate. If you are afraid of dentists this would be the dental office you would want to see, if you have young children you want to go to this dental office, if you have a troublesome tooth or any other kind of dental problem this is the dental office you want to visit. This will be the dental office I will be visiting in the future and I am so glad that I made the decision to go there. Thank you again Dr. Sinclair and to the staff of River City Dental.

They have a double check system make a apt and a text to confirm.come down with my 5 year old only to have no apt hard enough to get a 5 year old to want to go to the Dentest.

My family had been going there for 20 odd years. Went in because the root canal i had done was bothering me along with the giant hole left from a decaying filling, only to have the hygienist make me feel like an idiot for saying my root canal hurt and kept on insisting that the root was gone. Doctor gave me antibiotics which helped for a while. Went to go get a second opion Turns out its perforated and i wasn't making it up. Never going again, that hygienist lost you a life long customer. Ps, if i wouls have gotten a crown or i would've ended up wasting my money just like Karim. Not to mention the rudness of the hygienist

Dr. Emmanuel Osegbue FAMILY PHYSICIAN in Fort McMurray is hands down the most thorough, attentive and caring professional in town. I've gone through pretty much ALL the "family physicians" in town and he gets a full 5 stars in my book! (which I don't easily give). So many times I've had urgent matters that he MAKES time for me. I know he has a lot of patients... but he has a knack for making each of the patients feel as though they are his VIP GUESTS. He is such a professional man and super respectful; encouraging and quite frankly a man of medical integrity! As picky as I am ... I am sticking with this Dr for good! BTW: He's excellent with the kids! 5-STAR DR!

My familys dentist had recently moved here. This being said because of the money grabbing policy at this location Ilse are forced to go to another dentist office. Spoke with many other dentist office and explained what this locations staff said to me about 200 down and credit card on stand by cause of a fee that is always there even if full coverage with insurance and every not one or two but every other dentist office never heard of it nor agree to the policy. The only explanation other dentist offices has on the topic was they are charging over the included fee. That being said I am sad to have lost a really good dentist to this establishment and have to go to a new office for my family and there dental work. Sad to see a great dentist go to a scam of an establishment. Wish him the best. Recommend going else were.

When I was six Dr James was my family doctor. I was under the weather for awhile and my mom brought me in a few times claiming I was sick and they couldnt seem to see what was wrong with me. One night during my bath I was hallucinating family members that weren't there. She stormed us in and told Dr James that there was something very wrong with me. She shined a light in my eyes and wrote a note told my mom to give it to ER so I wouldnt have to wait. Within an hour later I was air shipped to Edmonton, I had something I cant recall the name of but it abbreviated to A.D.A.M Dr James saved my life and I will be trying to make River City Medical my family doctor again.

Can’t find my initial rating on the threads, so just re-posting and reiterating how truly fantastic this clinic really is. I want to personally thank our team and the patients who come in for making my day so great every time I walk into the clinic. Just a couple days ago, I received incredible treatment that has changed my smile delivered by Dr. Yap and his assistant Cammy. I am so nervous when it comes to needles but Dr. Yaps technique is so gentle and so quick, I didn’t know I was being frozen until I couldn’t feel my lips anymore! They worked quickly and efficiently to provide me with amazing bonding done to my upper front teeth. Dr. Yap is artistic and precise, and a warm soul. His experience as a DDS and his sense of humour will ensure a wonderful experience in our clinic. He books up quickly, and it’s no wonder why! I can’t thank him enough for enhancing my smile with his beautiful work. I also had my first routine hygiene appointment with our hygienist Alaina who delivered the best cleaning I’ve ever had. She is so sweet and very gentle while working diligently to keep her patients smiles bright and healthy! Dr. Helberg, Dr. Thibault and Dr. Brown along with the rest of our hygienists and assistants provide excellent care and treatment just the same, looking forward to helping book in the next appointment with my favourite front reception staff :)

I was in substantial pain until I went to this clinic and was prescribed antibiotics and pain killers. I was kinda embarrassed to go to the dentist after so many years of not seeing one. I had a root canal. The staff were exceptional

“I have been a patient of River City Dental Clinic for over 20 years . As we know , time is the true indicator of the character of a place or person . During that time I have come to know the dentists and the staff not only on a professional level but on a personal degree as well . Their professionalism , competence and expertise have always been excellent. The staff have always been extremely courteous, cheerful and tremendously helpful . They always go the extra mile to help me understand the sometimes confusing financial logistics that is involved with dental treatment. When times were more difficult economically, when I was younger , they went above and beyond to help me . I have never forgotten this! Knowing them personally I have come to see over the years that “ they walk the talk “. Their lives are impeccable and I trust them completely. This is the only dental clinic my family will go to . Unfortunately, it is very sad to see that nowadays the self -righteous use reviews as a platform to scream out their judgments against others to drown out the noise of skeletons dancing in their own closets .

Since I had my braces removed a couple years ago, my teeth have moved a considerable amount, leaving gaps between my front four teeth. I was told by other Dentists that the only way to fix these spaces would be to have my braces put back on. Instead, I went to see Dr. Carl Yap at River City Dental Clinic for a Dental Bonding procedure, and within an hour the gaps were filled! I initially was very nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Yap was very informative and was eager to answer any questions I had. Thanks to Dr. Yap and his dental assistant Megan's expertise, my teeth have never looked better. Would definitely recommend this clinic!

I’ve been going to RCD for years. 25+ year resident of Fort McMurray who had many different dentists in that time and I can easily recommend Dr Helberg as the best. The office has the newest equipment such as laser for cavities/fillings that needs no freezing, crowns made on site that only require one visit for the treatment start to finish. Definitely save time in the chair and while your there with personable, expert dentists, hygienists and assistants for the visit.

Dr.Alfaisal Abdulwanis is an Amazing doctor! He gives 110 percent all the time! If you want a doctor that listens to you and cares about your health then he is the one. He is quick to try to find out the problem. He isn’t shy about pulling a specialist in his office for a second opinion!!! Just to make sure !!! I don’t know of very many doctors like him !!! I am so thankful to have found him !!!!

I wanted to write a review of a local dentist in Fort Mcmurray his name is Dr. Navi Bharj at River city dental. As many of us know, things tend to happen at inopportune times. It was the dreaded wisdom teeth pain with a trip to Columbia on the near horizon. Being no fan of dental work I dreaded the thought of having a tooth removed. But to my surprise the removal of the tooth was far easier than I expected. But more importantly it was the caring kindness of the dentist that riveted it’s self in my memory. I will be forever grateful as my trust in dentists has now been restored in my life. Needless to say the trip to South America was a success!

I first went to to River City Dental Clinic when I was 4 years old. I was very nervous and apprehensive of the dentist. I am now married and have a baby girl. But my tension still remains when I have to go for a dental visit. Only Dr. Kelvin Helberg has breached that barrier of uneasiness that has surrounded me concerning dental treatment. I have been able to put all my confidence in him over the years because of his compassionate and kind nature. So much so , that I now drive the dreaded HWY 63 from Etown to Fort McMurray for my dental work. If I could I would rate his Clinic 6 stars!

I am writing this review about Dr. Kelvin Helberg. He has been working with me as a full time Dentist for over 16 years. He is a very talented and amazing dentist. But one of his most difficult patients is me, another dentist! As I am a very apprehensive patient (scared). Quite strange a dentist, who loves being a dentist, but who is terrified of dental work. It started a long time ago when I was traumatized as a child, over 50 years ago, by a dentist who didn't freeze me properly. Yesterday I had an implant on my front tooth and a root canal done on my back tooth, both done at the same time, with some oral sedation. I had procrastinated (delayed) this work for at least a year. It was completely painless and I had no pain the next day at all. He is an amazing dentist but even better he is a great friend and I totally trust him. Dr. Gerald P Brown / Dentist
