I had a total of three conversations lasting approximately 10 minutes each over the course of a year and a half with Dr. Bascu. Never have I had a specialist in my extensive medical history be so dismissive, judgemental and disengaged. Instead of listening to concerns and explaining why she was choosing any one course of action, she would simply say “no I’m not doing that“. She would not explain why she was taking a particular course of action, or offer any information about how she would address concerns with the alternative she wanted to take. She actually said “I’m tired of people calling and I will not accept disrespect.“ If I’m not the only patient in the situation, that tells you something about the pattern. She sees inquiry as disrespect rather than genuine concern for one’s own medical situation. I am the first to defer to experts given their sound medical judgment, but my concerns were used to treat me like a peon, even though I have been in exactly the same situation countless times before and was trying to communicate what had worked and what didn’t she was defensive. One of her staff is actually very helpful; the other who apparently is no longer there is absolutely toxic. I tend to think that this is a symptom of leadership from the top.

"Doctor Bascu says she won't see you again because you have missed too many appointments" (???). Ohh, you mean that *one* I missed right after the doctor herself missed one? Right... How can this kind of a doctor have the right to treat patients like this? I have a serious need for a urologist's help, not some snarky brief interaction every 4 months and then someone ditching me. Who is this woman???

Awful experience. I had a procedure done many months ago. I never heard back about a follow-up appointment until just a couple days before they booked me in and had no other notice. Due to the pandemic, I hadn’t been to see a clinic since the start of covid, but instead up-kept my antibiotic intake regularly which I’ve taken for many years along with other unrealistic preventative measures. I didn’t realize I had wasted this doctors time as she clearly indicated, as I didn’t purposefully make myself sick to produce lab data prior to seeing her during the months I didn’t know I was even to see her! I have years, almost a decade of medical records on this issue and because I didn’t have “new” data for her due to the current circumstances, she decided to humiliate me, shame me, and make me cry in her office due to her uncaring tone and sarcastic and cold remarks. She complained her staff booked me and other patients in just before a long weekend though she told them not to do so, I’m assuming so she could enjoy an extra long weekend. I actually asked to leave whilst in tears it was that horrible and degrading. I have already made an appointment with a new doctor who is in the same field as her that said they can help me regardless of new records and was very understanding and willing to help.

Dr. Bascu saved my life after an impacted kidney stone caused sepsis. I was lucky to have her as the surgeon on call that day, and she has been kind, and helpful in following up on my care since the operation.

Dr Bacsu performed several procedures on me over the years. She is a marvellous doctor , very professional and friendly. She explained in detail why she recommended certain procedures. She and her staff are friendly and helpful. Great practice

The worst doctor to patient treatment ever. On top of that and knowing if she had listened, about the terrible discomfort I am in because of a stone. Bascu though she already had me out for another quick procedure would not deal with it. She actually told me that I would have to live with the terrible discomfort. WOW!!! Never again will I let her treat me that way! I actually only spoke with her for 5 minutes before my procedure in which she argued every point I was trying to make. A well deserved one star!

Nasty phone call saying that they won't ever see me again. They lied to my doctor saying that they were trying to contact me several times and I didn't respond and missed my appointment??. This office called me once two days prior my appointment and their message was. " To remind me of my appointment and if they didn't hear from me they would moved my appointment" I still have their message in the answer machine and is so rude and confusing!! I fortunately I don't have a serious problem and my ultrasound was normal but what if I had a serious problem like cancer and I needed this doctor's help? What kind of doctor calls to say that she won't see me ever and To find a different urilogist if I need one. This is so harsh coming from a well known specialist? Nasty
