They sold my leg

We had a troubled birth of our little girl. Mackenzie's shoulder was stuck and had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice. Dr.Fontains quick response and outstanding staff saved her life. As soon as her heart rate changed she performed an immediate episiotomy, pulled her through the pelvis, and unwrapped her neck in less than 10 seconds. Her speed saved our daughters brain from damage. The staff then went into action. Low blood sugar, fever, not breathing, and erratic heart rate. All I could do is watch in terror as she faded. The team was able to rally and stabilize her in less than an hour. Their knowledge and speed of care gave her the chance she wouldn't have had anywhere else. Thank you again so much, and we will forever be in your debt.

What a joke. My daughter went there to get help and they did nothing. Thanks for nothing.

Hours of wait time to get a covid test,. This will cause people just to not get tested. Way to go with the layoffs in 2020.

Efficient care

Today, I arrived at my appointment at Northwestern Urology for a procedure 15 minutes early to find out my doctor was not in. The receptionist said she tried calling me three times last week to notify me that I would have to reschedule my appointment. She said my voicemail wasn't working but she was able to leave a message today. My voicemail was working just fine. She never left a message to notify me about the cancellation until less than an hour before my scheduled procedure. My procedure was scheduled for 4pm and she called and left a message at 3:06pm. I hadn't had a chance to check the voicemail because I had just taken Valium which was prescribed for me to take an hour before the scheduled procedure. I was busy getting ready for the procedure. I ended up rescheduling. When I arrived home, I rechecked my voicemails and received an appointment reminder on 4/21 confirming the procedure. I also received a voicemail from the receptionist today at 3:06pm notifying me that the doctor wasn't available. We all make mistakes but I do not appreciate the receptionist lying to me about my voicemail not working. Granted she did leave a message but she left it less than an hour before my scheduled procedure. I had just done some uncomfortable grooming to prepare for this procedure. Had the receptionist notified me last week, I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble with grooming, taking valium, purchasing compression shorts, and finding childcare. I work full-time, I have kids, my wife works, my time is very limited. It's for reasons like this many people go to Burlington for their healthcare needs.

Good facility for neighbourhood

This is a top notch medical facility from the quality of care provided to the "caring" treatment given by each and every employee.

First I want to say you come to a hospital to get assistance and aid. Well we didn’t get a warm welcome or a good feeling about them helping us. Instead we got rude lady’s that are most definitely overworked, sick of there jobs and not friendly at all. They kicked me out of the hospital twice when I wanted to be next to my fiancé and make her feel the most at home as possible. My fiancé went to take a drink, so she took her mask down which she’s having trouble breathing as it is and the lady yelled at her with a tone of anger and made her not even wanna get seen here at all. By far the worst place to come for aid. Burlington Vt all the way. They don’t ever make you feel like you shouldn’t be there or are not going to get aid. If I could of picked no stars I would of. It makes you pick at least one star to write a review or else I wouldn’t of even given them the satisfaction.

Absolutely a joke of a medical facility.. They let ppl suffer in pain and cause more pain, rather than fixing any problem and finding correct solution. Myself and my husband we're both treated less than we ever should of been.. I STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO CONSIDER GOING TO BURLINGTON OR MASS FOR ANY MEDICAL ISSUES!!

orthopaedics should not make two appts with the same doctor at the same time.i sat in a room for over an hour til anxiety took over.left sicker then when i came and never seen a doctor.when i came in the person said i have an appt with dr so and so at 1.same time as mine.the person that took me to the hospital was right there with me when the other person said that his appt was the same as mine.people with ptsd and bad anxiety should never just be put in a room fot over an hour.second time in the last month and ahalf.when you go to the hospital feeling not to bad and leave in a full blown anxiety attack.second time.if this happens to me,it must happen to plenty of other patients.

I couldnt have been in better hands, than i was with steph, ami, dark haired nurse towards the end of our stay, and of course tracy tyson, and her husband. Both awesome DRs. Ami went above and beyond on day 3, 4, and 5, after kate had been unsucessful in helping with the breast feeding, and care for my child and I. She told me to wake my bf up when we were trying to take turns sleeping, and caring for our son. Steph with the most experience gave us a ton of education on day 1, and had my son latched in no time. That night didnt go as well. I developed preclampsi symptoms within 2 days.. KATE pushed on my lower abdomen so hard, on day 3 that i was visibly gushing blood thru my gown. The pain and stress kate put on me and my son that first 48 hrs was unreal. She kept coming in to my room, to push on my lower abdomen. She was being agressive, and She used her fist, not her fingers. I had severe episodes of pain which turned out to be preclampsia within hours of her abusing me by dsy 3. This didnt happen with any of the other nurses, and this was after having a cesarian delivery. All the other nurses were amazing. I had the worst back contractions, that lasted hours. I was screaming in pain, becuase i knew that my psoas condition would get under estimated. It alway has, ñrob always will. I was mis diagnosed for 8 yrs, until my rare condition was discovered when i had hip surgery for a labrum repair at 31. Its a miracle I lived long enough to get answers to why i couldnt walk without severe pain since age 23. Thank the drug seekers, drs dont look very hard when u complain about pain at 23 yrs old. I couldnt sit, walk, stand long, or bend at the hip, and ended up bed ridden after the 1st surgery was unsucessful. Had 2nd surgery to lengthen my psoas. 16" muscle that attachs femur to lower lumbar spine, passed thru inner hip and abs uo to belly button kevel from the front view. Baby put alot of pressure on my psoas and his position at birth felt like it was going to kill me the way his head was lodged in my lower pelvis, direactly over my psoas. Stress, along with activity, always affected my psoas. The shortening when flexwdñed cuased it to constrict, tighten, and took me off my feet, even complicated my breathing befire i got pregnancy. Its ur fight or flight muscle. My mom, and boyfriend werent the only ones, who thought id never walk again. The look on my moms face when i had back contractions. She thought i was going to die, and so did I. She witnessed me unable to walk after 2 hip surgeries at age 31. Hip surgery #3 i had A major psoas lengthening to give me just enough relief to bare weight again. At 23 yrs old, I was working on a farm, when i sought help from an inexperienced chiropractor, who in turn dislocated my leg, from my hip, tearing my iliopsoas tendon, cuasing damage to my ligaments and conective tissue, within and surrounding my hip socket. I havent been able to walk or bare weight on my leg without pain since. Surgery cuased 10x more pain and limitations. Kate was so agressive, abusive, unprofessional, inpatient, and rude. She didnt seem to care too much about doing her job, or caring for me and my son. THE FIRST 2 day were a nightmare! I ended up asking for formula after my son starved for 48 hrs bc Kate truamatized us both. My son didnt cry when steph got him to latch within the first hr out if the womb. He cried uncontrollably when kate grabbed my breast and his head, shoving my breast into his mouth that first night. By the end of the day the next day he had latched a few times with support from daddy, and seemed very content. That 2nd night he wasnt able to latch again, and I werent asking my nighmare night nurse kate for help, so i requested formula. Day 3 I couldnt wait to leave the hospital. Ami came to my rescue day 3 and 4. We were both very grateful for her support, knowledge, experience, willingness to help, her loving, and caring nature. We both bonded with her really well. She exceeded our expectations, and was very gentle, and understanding. God Bless u Ami!

When admitted into the hospital, I was told all of my medications would be taken and held until I was well enough to go back home. Once I was home, I found my class IV medication was NOT in my medical bag. This is a serious problem, not only was I missing my medication, but it could potentially be in the hands of someone who is abusing this drug working there. Drug test should be given and background checks as well.

Always nice to arrive at the hospital and see 2/3 workers in the emergency room on there phones and not react at all to a medical emergency, this place is the pit that only survives because there is no one else, it survives by taking all the rejected staff that get expelled or rejected by Burlington.
