I had the miraDry procedure done to permanently stop my excessive underarm sweating. I had two treatments done and I wish I had not waited so long. I was impressed by Dzi Newman with how much time she gave me during my consultation. I never felt rushed and she was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions. Dzi even took the time to e-mail me more information. The day of my first procedure I was nervous, but Dzi, Dr. Newman and Melissa explained what they were doing and made sure that I was comfortable. Dzi asked me to let her know if I was uncomfortable because she could make adjustments. She said that she wants me to be comfortable. A few areas were more sensitive and she stopped when asked and gave me more numbing medication. I had less sensitive areas with my second treatment. Perhaps because I knew what to expect and I was more at ease. Afterwards, I was swollen and tender for a few days, but I could still go about my normal routine. Frozen 8oz. water bottles helped with my underarm swelling and tenderness. I had bruising and lumpiness which was mostly gone in 2 weeks. I am so excited to be free of excessive underarm sweating. I am more comfortable and confident now. I would definitely recommend Newman Plastic Surgery for miraDry. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I was given excellent care from my initial consultation through my follow up visits. Thank you Rena for always greeting me with a smile and sharing your experience with miraDry. Thank you Dzi, Dr. Newman and Melissa for your excellent care. I am very pleased with my results. You all helped make my life better! Second review: I had two laser procedures to treat vascular areas and redness on my face. I saw immediate results and the procedure was very well tolerated. I felt a quick rubber band snap with each laser pulse. The higher the laser energy the stronger the snap was. Some areas on my face were more sensitive than others, but overall a very easy treatment. A gel was applied to my face before the treatment. The laser device used had a cooling tip which made the procedure comfortable. Dzi Newman performed both of my procedures and she took excellent care of me. She asked me to give her feedback during the procedure to be sure that I was comfortable. Afterwards, I had a little redness for about three hours and very mild swelling that was gone the next morning. I have very sensitive skin so I expected more redness. I really couldn't tell that I had anything done once the redness subsided after the three hours. I was able to go about my daily routine. I have had several visits to Newman Plastic Surgery and everyone has welcomed me with a smile and I have received excellent care at each visit. Their office is clean and modern. I was seen on time at every visit. I will continue to see Dzi for any future needs because I know she will recommend the best plan of care for me. Dzi and Dr. Newman are both board certified. I am so happy with how my skin looks now that I don't feel the need to wear makeup. A+ care every time, by everyone!

I was referred to, Dr. Newman, by a good friend for breast augmentation. After seeing her results I felt I was in good hands. All of the office staff was kind, warm and welcoming. However, upon meeting Dr. Newman both my husband and I were surprised by his cocky and sometimes demeaning beside manner but I felt it could be over looked because what matter to me more was the quality of his work. While we did discuss size, I was never informed of the brand of implant he would be using, the different options they had available or any warranty information. When choosing an implant a professional surgeon should go over the different options in size, profile, cohesiveness and how they will achieve different results. It is important to educate each patient on the options available and to discuss what would work best in their case to achieve the look they desire. However, I was mainly only informed on was size. At no point did anyone go into detail on the different options they had available or explain to me what would work best for my case and why. I don't feel that Dr. Newman took the time to truly understand what I was wanting nor did he seem concerned with taking the time to choose the right option to avoid the complications I ended up with. All of this could have been avoided had we discussed more than size and even though I repeatedly expressed my concerns of going too big, he ended up going bigger than expected. After surgery he did respond to me no matter what time or day it was. However, my last post-op visit was horrible to say the least. He dismissed my concerns, didn't seem to believe or understand the pain and discomfort I am feeling due to the implants being much too big for my small frame, thin skin and little breast tissue. Amongst other complications in addition to size. Once again he came off as superior and demeaning, basically saying there was nothing wrong with the work he did yet went into a lengthy explanation on how we could go about a revision. A revision that most likely never would have been necessary had he took more time during my pre-op to explain my options (other than size), truly listened and understood what I wanted and helped me pick an implant that would have avoided the complications I ended up with. I do think Dr. Newman is a talented doctor but he would truly benefit from humbling himself so that he develops better communication with his patients and actually hears what they're wanting instead of thinking he knows best. Taking the time to educate your patients so that they can make an informed decision will save everyone the frustration I went through and still dealing with. Almost $7,000 and I'm not happy with my results, not even 4 months post-op and I already need a revision. However, I'm just not comfortable returning to his office as dealing with him fills me with anxiety. So I either have to find another surgeon or just deal with the issues I have as it will be an expensive revision on top of what I've already paid. Hopefully, he will take this as constructive criticism and make the necessary changes so no one else has to go through what I did. Before your office responds with "We don't see your name as one of our patients" do you really think patients want to list their real name for all the world to know the plastic surgery they had done? No, most people don't but I have a feeling you know exactly who I am.

I was referred to Dr Newman by a friend whose two kids had nose jobs and was happy. He was my second doctor to consult in replacing 22 year old implants. One had deflated from one day to another. I was extremely happy with the old implants and never had a problem or rippling. Upon consulting with Dr Newman and staff my husband and I were comfortable and pleased with the visit to pursue surgery. In the visit I must have emphasized 100 times I didn’t want to be bigger I wanted to be exactly the same. However I had no idea that going to silicone implants from Saline, you would never be exactly the same. The texture is entirely different. The size is ok, even though slightly smaller then before but unfortunately they do not look the same and I’m reminded of it every time I look in the mirror. Right after surgery, three days latter we knew something was wrong. The right breast had a peculiar slant where the left was perfectly round. We sent picture to him and visited the day after. He said let’s wait and see and worst case we can fix it. At my one year post op the slant wasn’t as bad as right out of surgery however you can tell to the eye both breast’s did not look the same s asNd I’ve got rippling. Dr. Newman said I was being too picky. Those words are forever stuck in my head. Rather then being concerned by his work out on the street and the happiness of his client, he said I would risk infection redoing them and brushed my concern off. When you think of plastic surgery you automatically assume perfection. After all isn’t that what we pay for. I never imagined I’d have two completely different breast’s I’m stuck with. At least until I have the courage to trust somebody else to fix it. My experience has left me jaded. If you are reading my review and looking for perfection than this may not be the best place for you. Good luck. **Second time adding this review as it was removed.

This place is fantastic, everyone on their staff is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. I’ve had 2 Miradry procedures done here and they made sure that I was comfortable and that I understood what was going on and what was required of me during and after the procedure. I highly recommend them!
