This Plastic Surgery belongs to the category of Cancer treatment center.
I spent 4 days with my boyfriend here this week. He couldn't leave his room due to his radiation. I stayed in his room with him the entire time, not a single staff member was snotty, attitudes, or miserable. Everyone seemed so happy and funny and everyone seemed to get along. Every single person was so nice and helpful. From the parking garage attendants, security, reception, gift shop, nurses and surgeons. I mean EVERYONE was amazing. Zero complaints. I wish I could thank them all personally. *Update*. I ended up back at the hospital with my boyfriend 2 days after he was released and these people went up and BEYOND. As I've never seen a man in so much pain in my life, they did everything they could to keep him comfortable and even did surgery at 1am instead of waiting until the following morning because they could see his agony. I cannot thank anyone in this hospital enough. Really truly amazing people
After finding out my wife had breast cancer at the young age of 32, I decided we should check out Sloan Kettering for possible treatment and second opinion. So I scheduled an appointment at the west Harrison sit, we were told to send all medical info and slides to looked at again. Her appointment time was at 1pm and we were told to arrive at 12:30 to fill out paperwork. We arrived at 12:15 just to be on the safe side. Will filled out all the paperwork by 12:30 and waited, and waited and waited. After asking a few times we were always told in a few more minutes or ten more minutes.1:40 pm were were put into a room and were told a nurse would be right in. At 1:55 p.m I decided to call a patient representative and explained the situation. 5 minutes later the Doctor who we came in to see entered the room. The Doctor seemed to have no clue of what type of cancer my wife had and thank god I brought along a copy of the pathology reports, and he PET scan. The Doctor then examined my wife and left the room. She returned to say that there were numerous treatment options for my wife, none of which seemed logical. I just feel as though the Doctor could have been better prepared for the appointment. It really left a bad taste in our mouth, that Sloan is supposed to be one of the best in the nation and would treat possible patients like this. After leaving the patient Rep called us back to say they were sorry for the treatment, and the Doctor had to deal with a Chemo patient. I think the Chemo patient was PF Changs that was delivered at 1:15 PM, and if it was the case, we should have been informed the Doctor was running behind. So we will be sticking with Lourdes Breast care Center in Binghamton as we are treated better and the medical staff seemed better prepared.
I work there, its fantastic!
I had a beast cancer few years a go. My husband & I went for four different hospital, before We decided to do augury. Having sgury at SMK was the best decision we made. This hospital save my life. We thank you.
Saved my life
They are so professional and amazing. My dads cancer treatment was top notch. Great staff and helped us feel great during the process. Would highly recommend to anyone.
If you or a loved one needs this place, it is the very best in the world. It goes without saying that SK has the best medical technology. Perhaps as importantly, every staff member is caring and compassionate to the patient and their families.
They do amazing things here.
I have only praise for this hospital, and all of the staff that I encountered there, from pre-surgery through to my discharge after a stay as an in-patient. Physicians, nurses, therapists, ward aides - people in all positions - were professional, competent, polite - everything you hope for as a patient in a specialized hospital. I'm new to cancer, so was nervous and somewhat fearful as I was admitted, but the staff was reassuring, friendly, and always explained any procedure that I underwent. It was upsetting to learn that I have cancer and my treatment is not yet concluded. But so far it's been successful, and is carefully monitored. I'm grateful to be in the hands of Sloan Kettering.
It's the best cancer center.
The entire staff at MSK from the Patient Transporters to the esteemed Dr. Valerie Rusch, provided stellar care. They anticipated all my needs. I had a large benign tumor removed from my back by Dr. Rusch, using a version of the "DaVinci scalpel." The surgery though tricky went flawlessly. The post-op nurses responded whenever I moved while in recovery. All The nursing staff intuited my needs, communicating clearly and warmth. MSK detected a possible heart issue. The cardiology team thoroughly diagnosed and addressed the matter. MSK gave the best of state of the art care. Here is a picture I took right after surgery in Post-Op.
Great hospital!
The staff is so kind and caring
One of the best hospital in the city.
I have to say recently we have been very disappointed with the staffs at GI Oncology and Dr. Connell’s office. My father has to resume his chemotherapy due to a relapse and he suppose to do it every 2 weeks. He finished the first session and the staff said they could not schedule the next one at the time, so they would give us a call. I waited a week, no one call us. The appointment suppose to be on 1/2 and we still have no appointment on 12/30. We were very worried, especially 1/1 is a holiday and the office might be closed. So I contacted Dr. Connell’s office and the receptionist Ryan was very helpful and eventually got us an appointment on 1/1 at 10am after some back and forth calls. Then suddenly at 9am of 1/1, we received a call from Dr. Connell’s office saying that my father’s appointment should be on the next day 1/2, what a lack of coordination and communication! I said we’re already on our way, so they compromised. The treatment appointment should be at 11am, we waited 2 hours and the receptionist still could not give us an estimate. Then I received another “surprise call” saying the reason we waited so long was because they had to verify the doctor’s order. We were shocked! This was not the first therapy session. Besides, all the bloodwork came back normal. We would assume all the dosage should be the same as last time. Could it be that the doctor actually never placed an order? Eventually we waited another hour for a total of 3 hours to actually start the infusion after the bloodwork. What a great way to start 2020! Thank you MSK for such a miserable New Year’s gift!
My mother died here but honestly the staff made sure she, my kids, and I were comfortable as much as we could be. I miss her very much.
I work at mskcc cuz it's a great place to work warm and welcoming patient care facilities it is very much one of the top cancer surgical center in the old world excellent place fabulous
Excellent physicians and services. I'm celebrating 4 months cancer free thanks to a great surgeon, plastic surgeon and medical team.
My Mother-in-law has been a patient here for the past 2 yrs +. The staff and Doctors have always treated her with kindness, respect and professionalism. Up to this morning when my wife (who by the way is the person who always takes her to her appointments) was entering the E.R. and requested a wheelchair, a female security guard on duty, yelled at her and treat her in a disrespectful manner. I quote "LOOK CAN'T YOU READ OR UNDERSTAND WHAT THE SIGN SAYS". Never addressing the fact that my wife requested a wheelchair for her mother that was outside in the car awaiting in pain and bleeding. All because my wife didn't see a signed that was posted that morning at the entrance. This is the 1st time in over 2 yrs of going there that she has been treated and spoken to in this manner. Very unprofessional of the Security Guard.
Horrible health care for my grandma
For actress sonali bendre behel @iamsonalibendre please give cure him best mom , wife , actress, and humanity

This hospital and the staff are amazing the care that was given to my sister was nothing other than top notch I thank you for saving her life and your nursing staff rocks ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Sloan Kettering is the most Cancer centric Hospital in the world. This focus helps make the hospital the best in class... The nurses are polite and cheerful and the DR are best in class.
Good for training
taking care of my dad with cancer
MSKCC an awesome hospital that realizes patients comfort supports recovery. Great menu wit excellent food. 15th floor recreation room for patients to get away from their room and bed. Pool table, foosball, scrabble tournaments, visiting talent like comedians truly add to the overall recovery of my family. Thank you.
The pediatric staff is so attentive and the service to all patients is fantastic. I love this hospital and I would highly recommend it.
Do no harm means not forcing people into getting an experiment against their will. MSK is run by bone heads.
Quality of care is exceptional very friendly staff
The staff are tops
They saved my life. I definitely wouldn't be here without my onc team at MSK
This hospital is beautiful the nurses. Are so nice. I don’t know anything about the Drs because I was never in contact with them the times I’ve been up to see my Aunt. I heard it’s one of the best hospitals for cancer. ????????????????????????. Let’s keep praying for my Aunt

.U never want deal with some problems in you life, but if u have to this place is the anwser.they just safe my life.
My son contracted APL 3 years after 9-11. The first time, we were fortunate enough to be near Chicago Northwestern Memorial. He was in remission within a month and back in school. He suffered a second bout in 2007 and unfortunately we had to go to MSKCC. They told him he couldn't get admitted for a month, and didn't seem to understand that PAL moves so fast he'd be dead if they waited a week. We had to get the director of NWM to call them and convince them to let him get a bed. They gave him a bone marrow biopsy with no pain killer in the admissions room; then they sent him up to a drafty run-down room he had to share with a man who had pneumonia, even though I begged them to put him in a sterile environment. The room was so poor that cold air poured in through the windowframes, and the sick man's family walked back and forth past my son's bed without a mask on, no handwashing, nothing. I had to literally remind the nurses to wash their hands and wear masks around him, most of them didn't. They didn't have a specific doctor for him so we had 5 doctors we had to try to corner to get things done. The doctors NEVER wore masks, even when they were describing exactly how low his immune system was, cell by cell. I had to check his med log myself every few hours because a certain nurse kept "forgetting" to give him pain meds. One of the doctors was so brusque and unfeeling we could barely get her to talk to us, and none of them seemed to understand APL protocols. He contracted an intestinal disease, although all he ate was the food they gave him. They put him on meds so powerful they caused him to hallucinate (viconazole). He ended up dying of a brain hemorrhage.
Only here to pickup friend from work.
The hospital is not only state of the art, it is immaculately clean. They have an OUTSTANDING group of nurses and doctors. The doctors and nurses are so caring and made the best out of a very difficult situation. I highly recommend MSK. Thank you to all.
This is the best hospital I've ever been to. You never have to worry about you or your loved one being mistreated in any way (those in the Bronx know what I'm talking about). It's accurate to say everyone, from the doctor to the nurses that pass by, will bring you the best service a hospital can give. Plus note: even I like the food that they give for the patients.
Nice waiting area and there is parking on 66th street and York. Sloan Kettering provides parking for under $20 for up to 3hours! That's was a great rate compared to the parking garage rates in this neighborhood. Folks were kind too. Hopefully we get good news... and that toy don't have to visit sick family in such a nice place. (Sigh)
best hospital ???? in new york
What a huge difference from other hospitals! The staff are beyond kind, helpful, attentive and caring. I can't say enough nice things about all of the doctors and nurses at MSK! In addition to the incredible hospitality, it was so sweet to see Moxie the Frenchie making her rounds to bring a smile to the patient's faces.
Good
I like that their nurses are very caring Attentive to patients and nice to talk to. Everyone is always so willing to help. I would definitely recommend Memorial Sloan.
The best cancer care, anywhere. Seriously. Been coming here for 20 years, always impressed.
I'm in the MSKCC hospital, Vikforiya is very concerned about me. She very responsible nurse, take care of every patient, I am really proud of you。 patient. Wan xiu ying
The best !
The best of the best. Excellent at dealing with complications that also come with the territory. Every single person cares.
nueses not cute
This is the bastion of Cancer Care when Memorial Sloan Kettering was founded. As the landmarked outside of the building shows, it has been around since the early 1900's, late 1800's. Oh, take the IRT 6 Train to 68th Street and walk North on 68th Street, away from Hunter College and away from Central Park. Oh, take the IRT 6 Train to 68th Street and walk North on 68th Street, away from Hunter College and away from Central Park.
Horrible experience for a new patient! Needed a second opinion consult, after An extensive interview by intake, was directed to a different Finance department , who referred back to intake and back to another finance department. Was asked to fax all medical records , otherwise “ they cant proceed”. At the end of all the run around and faxing hundreds of pages, i could not have an appointment. A consult for a self pay patient is 2700$, !!!!!They will not disclose this to you before you fax all this documents and speak with multiple useless representatives, blaming each other. Dont expect any financial assistance They only assist you if you already have outstanding bills with them. How ironic!!! Every single person is “away from their desk”, you keep leaving messages... This hospital and care is reserved to extremely wealthy or celebrities As i noticed from Google reviews, other people had exactly the same experience Follow up call from a hospital —-continued in same manner- insensitive and condescending. If you dont have insurance or can afford 2700 $ for a consult, go somewhere else. Once again, the most affluent hospital with much resources, will selectively help only those, with deep pockets 2 month later- very different experience with Dana Farber CI. They do offer remote consultation, efficient intake process and pleasant communication. Everything was coordinated by Dana Farber's intake staff , including document review and transfer, financial department and appointment schedule, without any aggravation on my part.
Great place and all the nurses are very nice!
Can 3rd stage lung cancer be treated here ? Patient from India, how can they come for medical treatment here ?
First... you have to understand the danger and severity of cancer, even when going to one of the world's best cancer treatment hospitals. It is a viscious, miserable disease, and the fact that it takes the lives of "even the rich and famous" should illustrate that there is no magic wand treatment yet. So there will always be patients who are angry and unhappy with the journey and its outcome, because not everyone can be saved. However, the progress being made in the field is none the less remarkable, and Sloan Kettering is at the forefront. I brought my mother to Sloan Kettering with advanced metastatic breast cancer. Dr. D'Andrea, her head nurse Kathleen, and the various cooperative doctors and nurses kept her going for a solid three years, maybe a little more, with not only extremely competent top-level medical expertise in this field, but with genuine care as well. This is something that my mother and I were both very grateful for. Everything, from the doctors to the nurses to the appointment staff to Jose and company in the parking garage across the street (not directly part of Sloan, but might as well be), took a miserable condition and pretty much made it as comfortable as it could be. Very organized, great conmunication between the different department. The only shortcoming of that particular building that I can acknowledge having seen, though my mother was spared it because she had top notch insurance that actually did what it's paid to do, is that their financial/insurance department can be difficult and discouraging. I've read complaining reviews about that, and in that category it's hard to disagree. But if you can get through that.... People come to Sloan from quite a distance, and rightfully so. It's the best care you can get, and both Memorial and the area Sloan hospitals all demonstrate what such facilities SHOULD be like, in a world where all too many hospital patients really need an advocate right there with them all the time to make sure they receive diligent care. Sloan, there's no worries, they take care of you. I will always remain grateful to Dr. D'Andrea and company for all that was done for my mother there. If you're faced with this horrible disease, and you can go with Sloan, please please do so to give yourself the best fighting chance. These people save lives. My mother's life couldn't be saved, but going with Sloan not only gave us the peace of mind that we gave it the very best try available, it also assured that the last stretch of her life through her cancer journey was as best as it could possibly be made for her.
NEVER ACCEPT THE DRUG MORPHINE FROM THIS HOSPITAL THE DRUG MAKES THE BODY WEAK Horrible hospital Terrible experience as a family member
I was very scared and the staff helped me through my fear and illness.. Fantastic staff.
Best hospital for cancer treatment in the word!
(Translated) My surgery in this place was performed by doctors who really know what they do and why they do it, the team of nurses treated me with great dedication and respectful care and never with bad aptitude from this hospital I can only say that it is a great place with a lot of organization and cleanliness (Original) Mi cirugía en este lugar fue realizada por doctores q realmente saben lo q hacen y por q lo hacen, el equipo de enfermeras y enfermeros me atendieron con gran dedicación y cuidado respetuoso y nunca con mala aptitud de este hospital solo puedo decir q es un gran lugar con mucha organización y limpieza
Remote opinion is not useful at all, at least wasn’t at all useful for us. Horrible experience.
Its a very good hospital the doctors n nurses are very nice
Staff always smiling.
These people are insane. They sent me home to soon after a major surgery, I ended up back in the hospital again. The second hospital I went to said they should have never sent me home. I guess it’s all about the paper. $$$
This hospital is the best! If you or a loved one has any type of cancer DO NOT go to your local hospital. Start off with the BEST treatment possible with this place. The staff are all helpful. The nurses are the best. Kind, considerate, …
This is a great Cancer Center.
This is one of the best hospitals in the region. The doctors here are direct and communicative and explain things well. The PAs are just as skilled and very compassionate; one performed "good-bye" rounds at the end of the day during their sign outs: warmly greeting and answering questions of family members. The nurses are the best in New York City as they are very responsive to the family's concerns for their loved-ones, and act on those concerns accordingly. All people, all families, all neighborhoods, all hospitals, and all medical staff deserve to have such an environment that is able to bring together such essential elements to good health care: compassion, knowledge, technical expertise, a well kempt, nourishing environment and education for all: patients, families, and staff who are all willing to learn from each other; when I was last there, I saw that Sloan Kettering simply had these core elements. Thank you so much!
The care is overrated. You shouldn't have to worry about medical negligence at "one of the best hospitals in the nation".
Great place to be treated for an awful disease. Doctors, nurses and aids are caring and helpful every step of the way.
Staff are courteous and very helpful! MSK is so huge that it can be intimidating. MSK has an indoor parking garage, the entrance is on 66th Street, with an underground tunnel connecting to the hospital's main lobby on York Ave! The parking …
Horrible experience. The doctors here are horrible. When our patient was there, I would put up christian pictures with christian messages printed from the computer and I would staple it inside the patients room where their was a cork board. The next day I would realize that one of their workers would keep coming and tearing it down. This happened several times and we never knew who was behind this. Discrimination against Christian messages? But the worst part from our experience is that I believe and convinced that memorial sloan kettering hospital is a GREEDY FOR PROFIT hospital that cares more for profits than the patients well being. The doctor stated they do not cure cancer but rather they "treat" the cancer. The medicine they used was chemotherapy, experimental drugs that ended up damaging the patients body and later died. I believe the "treatment" they use does more damage than good. Again, I encourage people to not come here as I researched that chemotherapy has a less than 3% success rate and usually after you are "treated" with chemo, the cancer may come back even stronger and they will set you up with more rounds of this highly toxic substance. Their are alternatives if you research. But our personal experience was a terrible one with this hospital. A once healthy person and after they injected the chemo and other drugs the patients kidneys failed and body dwindled and later on died. I pray to God that one day a healthy cure be found against cancer and this horrible greedy hospital go out of business so they wont harm people's health and bodies with their "treatments" as they did to out patient. We are now left heart broken and they are left richer at the expense of the poor patients that go to this terrible hospital. Doctors never apologized. PGdJfEA

One if the best hospitals in New York City!
A family member had an extensive surgery for ovarian cancer last Friday. I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else!
I was awed by the expediency in which the center and staff treated me and my needs. Traveled from PA to NYC when it was apparent my Drs were not giving my case the attention I felt was warranted given the circumstances. I continue to travel to NYC in order to use the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for all my future checkups and if needed procedures.
When a person is in desperate need of your help, and you turn them away because they are not legal? So this hospital is willing to let people die just because of their immigration status. You are located in NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK. A sanctuary state and you turn down your services to an undocumented HUMAN BEING. Absolutely disappointing and disgusting. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. You don’t even deserve one star.
Amazing facility , going thru treatment here , Nurses , Staff and Doctors are Truly , Amazing people!!!
It was good ..as my friend had treatment n she is fine now
Helped my family tremendously thank you
So friendly
I get treated here for cancer. Care is better than I even experience with the family doc. They always met my needs and went the extra mile even when I couldn't pay.
I work here. Love this place.
My wife is currently in the recovery room after her third surgery here. Her first time convinced her that this is the best hospital. Very friendly staff, excellent care, very good food all make the best of what would be a miserable time elsewhere.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, Is one of the best top five hospital's, in the country leading the fight, and to find a way to help people with Cancer get back to their normal lives This Hospital has set the bar very high, when it comes to the quality of care that the patients receive, and the professionalism of its employees. I'm talking about from the parking attendants, the security guards who are always kind and helpful, the Nurses aid, Dr's, etc., Thanks so much for all your help and support.
Great service and highly professional, comes at a good price.

Outstanding service, Excellent staff. This is the only hospital which gave me hope. Thank you.
Amazing place with doctors dedicated to giving the best patient care experience possible whilst actively engaging in cutting edge research to improve outcomes for patients.
Caring nurses and patients given great care.
This review is specific to 1250 1st AVe building of Sloan Kettering. In my entire experience at Sloan everyone has been very polite and extremely compassionate, but recently had an experience which upset me greatly. When I took my father, who is oxygen dependent and requires a wheelchair to get around, to 1250 first ave for a radiology test, I had the worst experience with the front desk security guard. First off, there is no wheel chair accessible entrance door and you have to manually open two heavy narrow double doors to enter the building. The security desk is right in front of the two double doors and is less than 20 feet. The security guard just sits there watching you struggle with the wheelchair and doesn’t even offer to help. He wasn’t even doing any work, just watching as My elderly mother an I are struggling to get through the two heavy doors. When we asked the guard if he can get us access to the elevator which is key operated, he told us to go upstairs and tell the people and the front desk. Again he was doing absolutely no work, just sitting back in his chair. After our test and on our way out, The same thing happened when I left the building. But what upset me the most was that after we exited, there was a small child (about 5 years old) in a wheelchair and his mother who was by herself was struggling to get through the door herself. The security guard once again was just sitting here and not even attempting to help her but rather talking to one of his other security guard friends. There were two security guards and not one of them went to help this struggling women with her child who was a mere 15 feet in front of them. I got extremely upset and after going back and helping the mother keep the door open, went and told the security guard that one of two guards standing there could keep the door open for people in wheelchairs who need help. He, in a rude and arrogant voice said “have a great day”. When I asked him for his name he refused to give it to me. I went to the front desk to ask them for the security guards name but they told me I have to call the security office. I tried calling the security office but the man who picked up was just as rude and before hearing my full story said that security guards aren’t required to help patients with wheelchairs and that I should know what I’m talking about before I complain. It’s a shame that a hospital with such a stellar reputation employs individuals like this. And since the security department that employs Him won’t address it, a formal complaint letter is being filed with patient advocate line and to the administration. Again this review is specific for the 1250 1st ave building and with this individual security guard only. Everyone else at Sloan Kettering has been amazing and very compassionate. This incident happened on 9/7/18 around 1205pm.
Best experience for multidisciplinary cancer treatment which is assessed with multiple members of all necessary medical assistance for each INDIVIDUAL patients needs. They found the answers where other MDS FROM Phil, Pa to NJ to finally MSK, NYC. Couldn't ask for more. Started with IR MD-DR. Bryce & her team to DR M. L
One of the best hospitals to treat cancer and related diseases. Very agressive treatment.
I was treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering twice. The first time for colon cancer as a second opinion and they took over the case and probably saved my life. The second time was for a non-specific growth on my foot. Both times I came out with a great outcome. Staff unbelievable,Right down to the person that washed the floors and walls every day. When I developed a foot infection, I went to my local emergency room who sent me home. The pain was unbearable. I had a friend drive me down and dumped me at the emergency room at Sloan. They took me in, it was related to my foot surgery, but not cancerous. I was there 10 days after being sent home from my local Hosp. My surgeon told me just to come down anytime I have a problem even if it was not cancer. I’m sure there’s always going to be negative outcomes, The people that are happy to not write reviews as much as those that are not happy. Nothing but good things to say. They never asked me for a co-pay but I sent a bill. Yes you wait a long time to see a doctor because each one takes the time it needs for each patient and when you get inThey take the time with you too.If you are diagnosed with any kind of cancer, always go to Sloan Kettering for a second opinion, any kind!!

Love the hospital very kind and caring personal
State of the art hospital with extraordinary knowledgeable staff and doctors who care.
It's the number one in all country in treatment and cancer care also exelent job place!!!!
This is the best cancer center in the world! Not just because centered the best minds on each particular cancer field but because they had the best patient nurses/technitians/attendants ever. These are all well trained to take cancer as a new level. The level where you find humans not just numbers or exams nas tumors. They really find out a way to re humanize medicine. I came from Brazil to here to lern with this big minds here! I am ver glad! If you are a patient, come here. Best and highest quality treatment ever. If you are a scientist come and find a warm and a fell welcome environment. Last keep curing cancer one by one patient in their time lives.
My wife had surgery today Great hospital, great staff, great surgeon / Dr Van Zee She is very thorough, took time to explain IN DETAILS the procedure, answered all our questions with a smile, genuine smile Called me after surgery to update me and reassure me Pre-op and post - op Nurses are phenomenal Everyone has eye contact with a smile Excellent professional and caring people Medical care like it should be Thank you
My daughter and wife are in Sloan right now. My daughter is getting CARTs therapy for her Leukemia. We went across the country from UCSF Medical Center to get treatment. About half of the Sloan staff are HORRIBLE. Asking for simple things like a pillow and you get NASTY attitude from the staff (CNA, RN's). I am having a hard time forgiving one attending physician. He INSISTED she take Lasix one night (we BEGGED him not to do so). Lasix would require her to get up and pee frequently and she was very frail anddidnt do well on her feet. He was lazy didn't want to check in on her without the Lasix. Well, she broke her hip that night! He didn't care. My wife fought for half a day to get a cot so she could sleep at my daughter's side. WHENEVER a nurse or nurses aid left my daughters room at UCSF she was asked, "Is there anything else I can do for you?". Whenever a nurse or CNA left her room at Sloan I feel like she's got his/her middle finger up. Please Sloan, someone FIX IT and I'll take this post down! I'm not found of Sloan or NYC.
Radical left aortic node dissection 11/9/69 by Harry Grabstald Chief Urology second James Whitmore Chief Surgery! Alive thanks to Our Lord 10/'14! Blessings on all, believer's will live forever! Love,f+!
Great hospital with friendly caring staff.
The staff at Sloan are all very professional and sensitive to patients needs. Especially Dr Erel Joffe, Dr Dipti Gupta, Dr Noor The office staff Adriana, and all of the support staff nurses and assistants
THE WORST HOSPITAL IN THE USA NEWYORK. A BUNCH INEXPERIENCED YOUNG DOCTORS AND NURSES WHO DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MEDICINE. THEY DIAGNOSED MY MOTHER WITH CNS LYMPHOMA WRONG. WORST DECISIONS IN HISTORY, GIVING MY MOM THE CHEMO WITHOUT THE METHOTREXATE IN THE BEGINNING. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO RADIATE THE BRAIN WHEN SHE FIRST GOT THERE, AND WAITED TOO LONG, THAN TOLD US IT WAS TOO DANGEROUS. SHE HAS NUMEROUS BED SORES BECAUSE THEY WOULDN’T TURN HER. DR.MATASAR, HER ONCOLOGIST, NEVER VISITED HERTHE MOST GARABAGE HOSPITAL 4 STARS THEY HIDE BAD COMMENTS FROM THE TRUTH I DONT CARE WHO COMES AROUND THE WORLD ! THEY PUT MY MOTHER IN THE WORST CONDITION
Incredible patient care! Heard they were very clinical, but instead found compassion and outstanding service.
I would rate this place 0 if I could. It is a money making machine that will charge you $1700 USD for a blood test.
I had a very good experience at this hospital. Everyone was really nice and caring. I was even asked if I needed a social worker. I didn't feel that I needed one, but I thought it was so great that they offered. The radiologist was very knowledgeable and caring. I felt like I was in the best possible hands.
There excellent I recommend them to anyone looking for hope as they did with me and continue to keep cancer away. To everyone at mskcc thank you keep it up dont give up on us. Patient for 6 years.
Just had surgery to remove hopefully the last bits of cancer from my body with Dr Wei. She is hands down one of the best doctors I've ever had the good fortune of having had care for me. Nursing staff is phenomenal. Food is really good! This is a world class facility and it feels like one from start to finish. You literally cannot do better than this place if you are sick. If you are reading this and feeling unsure of where to have your cancer treated, stop looking and get yourself here. They can treat you. This place works miracles on the regular.
I use to work at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and honestly I am sorry that I let and now I brought in a family member for service and no word can describe, the kind of service we got . from scheduling an appointment to the entrance to the building the service was top of the line. I wish other hospital can copy the organization and management of Memorial Sloan Kettering I truly miss been part of that, Excellent hospital god bless each and everyone that work there and make every cancer patient that come to the hospital feel that there are part of the family.
Great hospital and staff and very clean.
Everyone in the hospital, everyone, the valet guy, clerks, nurses and doctors are completely committed to patients health, the moral support and encouragement to keep fighting kept me positive at all times. Best people I ever meet. Notably, they also doing a great job - they fixed me!
My Sister was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer, in late October early November. Her choice of treatment was MSK in Middletown NJ. our 1st visit she was to have a port placed. we arrived and were checked in and after gowning up and physically and mentally preparing for the procedure they told us her COVID test results were not back yet! really should have checked that first. did get the procedure and had her first treatment, which by the 3rd day she was so sick!! couldn't eat, move. now 5 days later has some energy back and a little appetite. we come for a 3:50 appointment For a 4:20 CT scan and it's 6:26 pm. is this the normal treatment making cancer patients wait?
My husband has been receiving treatment for mesothelioma for 5 years by the staff at Sloan. They are amazing, caring knowledgeable, cutting edge and everyone has done an incredible job. The nurses on the 5th and 12 floors are so compassionate, The doctors, surgeons, radiology drs, phlebotomy ALL went above and beyond. A sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who have shown such professionalism, kindness and love. Especially Junior from food services who just delivered a lovely tray to us while we keep vigil on our loved one. Thank you
They say this place has a best service but unfortunately I can’t make any difference from any hospital These nurses and everyone else see in what conditions you are and in base of …
The best cancer hospital in the world.I've been diagnosed with cancer 2004 and Im cancer free 2016.Special thanks to the best surgeon in the world DR.ROBERT DEMATAO.GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Truly 1st class! Search Cart 19 clinical trials here at Sloan. They are cutting edge cancer treatment and could save you or your loved ones life.
Everybody is nice and. Respectful
This place is the major leagues of cancer technology. If you have to be here this is where you want to be. I wasn’t sir, buddy, pal or a number. I was Mr and/or my first name. They either train their staff to be that good or pay them more. …
I traveled to MSK to get into a trial from Cincinnati. I saw Dr. Ivyer on 3/8. He said it would take two weeks to qualify. After two weeks I started calling. I have stage four bladder cancer. The doctor told me he was waiting for tissue from Cincinnati. I called the hospital here and they said they never got a request. After five weeks the doctor finally sent the request. I followed up at the hospital and they hadn't gotten a shipping label. I got the label sent out. So after getting the tissue from Cincinnati MSK sends it back to Cincinnati. Why, who no one knows. Get the tissue back and the doctor said he was expediting the tissue at Kite in California. The tissue is actually at Univ of Rochester then onto Oregon. After over seven weeks I was called by nurse to say I didn't qualify. Offering me another trial. I didn't have medical qualifications for this trial. SHAME ON THEM. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
They are the best from the care to the compassion thank you forever grateful
My mom went here for a clinical trial for her cervical cancer and they were very short with her. Didn’t really explain much to her. And when it wasn’t working they just treated her like a number instead of a person. It was very upsetting my mom was making trips here whenever she had an appointment and we live 4-5 hours away. She’s a fighter and this place really drained her by treating her like complete garbage... she used to cry and hated it there.
THE best hospital to go to if you have any type or stage of cancer. My grandmother came here for the last two years of her life, and was taken very well care of. Unfortunately, like all places big and small, there are some questionable physicians that like to play God, or play with lives in general. But a majority of the staff, nurses and doctors are very sweet, attentive, and practically remember every face they see. I would recommend Sloan to anyone I know who has to deal with the pains of cancer.
Sloan Kettering is the best..I have been going to for years now they don't take my coverage..its been about 6 years and until today they still do not take my health coverage.i hope the administrator reads this and consider taking more health insurance so for that I gave them a 1 star.TAKE MORE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE SLOAN KETTERING
I work here. I'm biased

The number 1 best cancer treatment hospital ????
So impressed with my husband's entire cancer team at Sloan-Kettering. They are so organized! Every week a nurse or doctor has called to check on my husband & discuss with him his treatments & results. There is a care coordinator who will guide & help you with any questions. All the doctors we have worked with, have been professional & caring. I work in the Healthcare for over 37 years at another hospital & can honestly say that Sloan-Kettering care has truly impressed us! Thank you, Dr Zervodkis, Dr Mantha, Dr Weiser, your nurses & Ashley our care coordinator. So glad we decided to go to Sloan. Best care he has ever received!!
Nurses are wonderful and that says it all. They are competent but always willing, helpful and are able to keep a smile and a greeting. Nurses run hospitals so if they are good we are good
Had the pesto shrimp and it was very good. We also had shrimp fried rice which was tasty. HOWEVER, we also tried the southwest stuff pepper and it was well below expectations. Dry and not much taste. I would recommend at the very least some tomato sauce that could be added. Also ... chicken in this dish would make it MUCH better.
Without any doubt one of the best cancer center in the world!
I spent about two weeks at Memorial Sloan because I needed to have brain surgery. I found this to be the best run hospital i have ever been. Everyone from the man who cleans the floor, takes out your garbage, food surver, nurses and doctors are top notch. The doctors and nurses are filled with compassion. The amount of care they show you as a patient is unbelievable and truly hart warming. I feel like they have become personal friends to me and I truly am grateful for how well they took care of me. I strongly recommend this hospital to anyone.
Great Hospital for cancer care.
I can't begin to say how wonderful this facility is. My son and I traveled over 2100 miles to MSKCC. They saved my son's life. Dr. Joel Shienfeld, Dr. Kingham and their teams were just as wonderful. This is a very top rated Cancer Center in the country, if not the world.
A Tribute to Memorial Hospital Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center On the Monday after Thanksgiving, my husband who was being treated for lymphoma and was a patient of Dr. Ariela Noy since early July, was admitted to Memorial Hospital for what turned out to be his final admission. My career in health care actually began when I was 14 years old as part of the Junior Red Cross Volunteer Program of New York City; and I started volunteering at Goldwater Memorial Hospital on what was then called Welfare Island and at St. John’s Queens Hospital. I worked until I graduated from high school. I have been in health care all my life, in many cases traveling to hospitals throughout the U.S. I have never seen anything that equals Memorial in quality of care. The attitude of the staff was always friendly and never put out, respectful and considerate of patients’ feelings, very concerned about patient comfort and considerate of family. All details were attended to. Sitters were pleasant and helpful, being of comfort to the patient. The dietician was very agreeable and trying very hard to get what was needed to meet the patient’s needs. The nursing staff was professional, efficient, always helpful and considerate, no matter how busy the floor was. They were considerate of the patient and the patient’s feelings and were always trying to make the patient more comfortable. The nurse that was on the night that Jay died was kind and loving. Dr. Don Colbourn was responsible for Jay’s care up to two weeks prior to his death. He was the hospitalist who made rounds daily and kept you up to date on patient care — a caring and compassionate man. He managed a team of doctors who made rounds with him daily. Two weeks prior to Jay’s death Dr. Von Keudell took over his care. He was equally as caring, concerned and compassionate. They informed you of lab results, expected developments over the next 24 hours and moving forward, and who would be in attendance to care for you. As Jay grew sicker and it was evident that he wasn’t going to recover, not only did the hospital extend their care to Jay, but they sent people from supportive services to check on me to be sure that I was alright and to see if I needed to see anyone to talk about what was happening. They came quite regularly until the end of Jay’s life. Not to mention the fact that it wasn’t unusual for the nursing staff to ask me and remind me to eat. It was a very caring environment. Memorial is still extending their hand to take care of me. I am receiving grief counseling from Memorial at this time. Supportive care asked how I wanted to care for Jay prior to his death. The care at Memorial was so excellent that I chose to leave Jay there, and I have never seen better end of life care than my beloved husband got at Memorial. Jay had constant care available from the priests at St. Catherine of Siena which added to his overall comfort. The care was so excellent that I left Jay at Memorial to die. It was the smartest decision I could have made. Jay died on December 16th 2018 after repetitively being comforted by my daughter and I. We were holding Jay’s hands. There were nurses and doctors that Jay knew and liked outside in attendance to keep him comfortable if necessary. I have been a Health Care Agent four times before for very close family members. I was at the bedside for the end of life. I have never seen anything done with the professionalism, caring, compassion and consideration of Memorial Hospital. Approximately two months after Jay passed, Dr. Noy called me to see how I was doing and recommended a book for me to read. I feel inadequate to actually describe the quality of the care especially when I don’t have enough adjectives to do it justice. I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses and every member of the hospital staff no matter what their position. I for one am very grateful that you were all there for Jay and me. Thank you to the staff of Memorial Hospital, many times over.
Best nurses, best doctors, best hospital staff. Period!
Highly not recommend! They only take a certain insurance and when you offer to pay out of pocket; when you offer to transfer from another hospital they give you such a hard time. Most people answering the phones are not trained properly they send you from department to another department. They are terrible!! This hospital is terrible. So hard to get an appointment for which you wanted to pay anyway.
The doctors, nurses, staff everyone from the moment you walk in very kind , helpful, willing to do anything to make you comfortable. I recommend this hospital to anyone needing their care . Love it
Very perfect hospital, emergancy, 4 floor dep., all people working there are perfect, I do not remember everything, but I was helped by everyone, God Bless,
they take very good care of their patients. As well it is very clean
I'm a bit late! But. I couldn't have picked a better facility to have my surgery in August 2019. The caring, attentive, and empathetic staff at MSK was phenomenal!
It's the BESTcancer hospital
The best hospital of the world. All there are professionally. Just smart people. ...
The care I received at MSKCC in pre surgical, post surgical recovery and patient room was incomparable. The attention to detail and cleanliness excellent. The nurses, technicians and housekeeping staff are detailed and compassionate. I felt comfortable and confident I was getting the best care and a safe environment.
Best place to be at if you have cancer or other serious illnesses. The staff are the best, they care about you. But with no insurance your dead.
My mother had breast cancer and was treated for at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She had a mastectomy, chemo and radiation. As far as the doctors were concerned they got it all. My mother went for her yearly check up for the next five years. About six months after her last clean bill of health, she started feeling pain in her left shoulder. When it didn’t get better, she went back to the hospital, before her next yearly checkup. They examined her and told her she had bursitis. About six months after that, her pain was worse. It got to the point where she couldn’t raise her arm. I told my dad that that was crazy. I made an appointment for her at St. Luke’s Hospital, also in New York City, for a second opinion. My dad took her to St. Luke’s. My dad called me hysterical, from the hospital. He said the doctor told him that her cancer had metastasized. She now had bone cancer and 5-6 months left to live. Sloan Kettering got it wrong not once, but twice. Bursitis?! My mother died five months later.
Great place, excellent staff and facilities
Very good.
I've been going here for 7 years receiving treatment, been to several departments, so believe me when I say I have never had a bad experience here, in fact I love seeing my care providers it makes the trip worth it despite the grim nature of requiring lifetime testing. Started here as a kid, then to the "adult" care areas. Both were equally great and they have incredible programs for kids going through treatment and their siblings! Including a huge game room with crafts, video games, manga/graphic novels. It was actually great. Now I will say, I didn't start here for my care. I was first admitted to Yale New Haven hospital. If you have the luxury of choice and happen to be closer to Connecticut than New York, I sincerely wish I never went to Yale but that's a story for a different review. At MSK I was not given inaccurate out-dated care, treated like a science project, called insults. It's insanity. Never again. Side note, they are ????️????amazing????️????
This place helped saved my life!!! I was diagnosed with a very serious cancer with little chance of survival. The Doctors are brilliant and exhaust every viable option. The staff are so helpful! I highly, highly recommend MSKCC to everyone. Dr. Kemeny and Dr. D'Angelica are amazing! I doubt I would have survived without them.
My mother was very pleased with experience at MSK Hospital, thank you all Doctor and Staff for your professionalism.
Simply the best staff and doctors
I'M GOING THROUGH A THIRD TIME WITH CANCER.
Great Service, Wonderful Nurses and all Employees
rip the sultan swat babe ruth.
I am a 16 year Cancer Survivor. I had Stage 4 Hodgekin's Lymphoma that required a stem cell transplant. I would not be alive today if it weren't for God, my Doctor, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.
I had uterine cancer 21 years ago. I was a patient at Memorial in NYC. Everyone that worked thare were the kindest, caring employees of any hospital or place that I have ever had an interaction with in business or medicine. Couldn't find better doctors or staff anywhere. Thank you Memorial.
MSK saved my life. It's a wonderful place, with the most competent, caring staff I've ever encountered. Even the food is good.
I am a patient at the Early Drug Treatment center. I have been treated with respect, kindness and understanding. I am so grateful to Dr. Gounder, Erica and the entire team. I know they have my back and will do everything they can to help me. Susan Heskins Lazar
This hospital is absolutely terrible. The nursing staff can’t seem to bothered. And when you do. You’re disturbing them. Poor care for my child. Argumentative staff. Unable to have any of there support. No privacy. My child is recovering from surgery from cancer. Why are the infant recovery room split? There is no way this should be allowed. No privacy. My child can’t sleep when there is another child scream. Extremely small and cramped. Out dated. I will Never come back here again.
The most caring staff I have ever come across
I went to Sloan Kettering a broken man who had totally given up on life after I received the news of stage three cancer. Sloan Kettering's Dr. Hakimi and the other staff took great care of me, I left Sloan Kettering feeling like i was given a second chance. Going to Sloan was the best decision. Ryan Williams...
Have been a patient of MSKCC for one year now with Stage 4 incurable metastatic cancer. I cannot say enough positive things about this hospital. Have been in a few of their facilities and each is superb! The doctors/nurses, medical staff are exceptional! Have never met kinder, gentler, more gifted physicians. The in-patient care, from their day-surgery center to the main hospital is one-of-a-kind. If you have cancer and you’re looking for the best treatment available, this is then place to go!
Dr seems nice office staff is awful. No compassion from this place I’m a Registered Nurse. I would never speak to cancer patients or any patients like the way Sloan does . They think they are the number one cancer center meanwhile they have made many diagnostic errors on many patients. They have no nurse navigators who can intervene on your behalf. Cancer is a Business unfortunately. With any Business you have to go elsewhere! There are plenty of really good Cancer Centers and you aren’t treated as a number
wonderfull
My father died at this place hate it
I was in the hospital (main) for a liver embolization.(this doctor and team did a good job) (I was in pain, canceled after 3 calls for help) no one really cared. Was sent home. Discharged. With no pain meds. (if you need it) I took Tylenol AT Home to relieve my pain. wife was told to take them back to the hospital. No pain meds at discharge, also Sugar went up. Would not go again. NO. First of all you where on vacation. DR. Chalasanni. After calling Basking Ridge. Was told to bring chart for blood sugar levels (from hosp.). I was denied 2 meds for cancer pills from Dr.Chalasanni so we bought both letters with us. the doctor Chalasanni said it was a waste of time to come for this appointment. We were told to show you 2 denied letters . You Said we were to tell you about it before coming (we did not know this) (communication at its best) Communicate with us. Which you did not. Doctor Chalasanni looked away when I explained about the hospital. she looked at computer, instead of us. Pay attention, when some one is talking to you. (not impressed) she Ordered blood work, which you forgot who ordered it.(Very scary). Time to get a new Dr. If you don't care I don't care. over all 1.Would not back to hospital (because I'm scared) and 2 I need a new Dr.
The care and service provided to patients and families is excelent
I just learned there are TWO health care systems in the US. There's Sloan-Kettering an there's the rest. They're collectively the most amazing group of people ANYWHERE!!! Care that is beyond compassion, professionalism beyond excellence.
Terrible experience and terrible doctors. Boy have they gone downhill
The staff there are Extremely nice and helpful
Great place they work hard at doing the impossible no shortage of experiance and food you can actually eat plus they have every piece of equipment known to health care of course getting in and out of the city alive is a chalange why the city I dont know you have to go where the doctors and the facilities are and this is it
If anyone has the doctor Elizabeth Cohen from Sloan in the NYC I HIGHLY ADVISE DO NOT USE HER she was suppose to help my 30 year old sister who got sick with Breast cancer but instead she was lazy and gave her a 5 hour chemo session ( her first one ) let her leave with no monitoring and we called and called the next 5 days asking for help they told us to give her gas x but in realty SHE WAS WALKING AROUND WITH 0 WHITE BLOOD CELLS NEVER GAVE HER A WHITE BLOOD CELL SHOT NEVER EVEN TOLD US ABOUT IT SO BYTIME WE GOT TO THE HOSPITAL AN INFECTION TOOK OVER MY SISTERS BODY AND SHE DIED ALSO SHE TOLD US SHE WAS SORRY AND QUESTIONS HER COLLEAGUES AFTER THIS!!! When we asked questions they told us to google it !!!!!! All because she couldn’t wait to get out of work on a Friday and left my poor sister to figure it out herself all they care about is money for every person they get to say yes to chemo they make. A COMISSION !!!! CARELESSS THIS. WOMEN SHOULD LOOSE HER LISENCE !!! Im sure my sister was just another paycheck to her but to us it destroyed our world so I hope I can maybe help or save Someone else by reading this !
Great hospital with excellent staff, elevators are really really bad though.
They left my very alert, conscious and DYING grandfather in the hallway for 24 hours when he was initially admitted to be treated for mesothelioma. After he was discharged, he refused to ever go back to this hospital. He then received much better treatment at a state run hospital in Elmhurst…
Unprofessional , lack of customer service … also there was a homeless man that got into the waiting area and there was a lack of security to handle situation… how did he get in anyway ? Plus he took off his shoes , rubbed his feet and left his socks on the chairs ….the workers just looked at him …
:-) :-)
MSK is a great hospital, they treat me with utmost care. The neuroblastoma team is amazing and they don't give up
People are kind thoughtful from parking attendants to office assistants, nurses nurse practitioners
My husband was interviewed at Sloan Kettering to be included in a treatment study for lymphoma after his last chemotherapy did not work. We met with Dr. Palombo who assured him they could help him. They had all his slides and information a week after they met with him. Two weeks after that they called to have him come Thursday for pre-testing, infusion to start on Monday. He complied with their requirements of no steroids or chemotherapy for 28 days. This was hard as his symptoms are intense and he has an aggressive lymphoma. He also turned down the opportunity to be in another study which might help. We made plans to come, we bought train tickets to go as we live in Philadelphia, I cancelled a full day of work, I work for myself. At 8:00pm that night, before we were to show up at Sloan Kettering we got a call that he does not qualify for the study, they will not help him. I do not see this as compassionate care, good patient care, or even ethical. It is a physician's job to do no harm and this is certainly not what happened in this case
The very best place for cancer care
