Started going to Elliot Orthopedics for Cortisone injections in my knees. Eventually, I had a total knee replacement (left knee). I have surgery scheduled to replace the right knee. Dr. Lawless is my surgeon and he is a very kind person as is his physician assistant Kim Brady.

Had a scaphoid fracture that required surgery. Dr. Scibetta did my surgery, and Kate did my post op appointments. They were both great. My fracture healed perfectly. I even was given a referral for OT out of network because I moved. Great experience!

A 25 year old hip replacement in my 45 yr old wife has recently become painful and has begun to cramp and tighten up. We were hopeful Dr. Lawless could figure out the best course of action to get back to normal. Sadly, this rating isn’t specifically on Dr. Lawless’ care or even demeanor. It’s on the management and rules that Elliot Ortho employs. Appt. time of 8:40. Reminder message says please arrive at 8:30 for your check in time. We left home with time to spare, but an accident at exit 5 slowed our arrival and we got there right at 8:40. We stood waiting for check in for over 10 minutes and were then told we were too late to see the Dr. since he had surgery later and we were too late for our appointment. At 9:00 exactly, his 9:00 am appointment checked in with the gal next to us. So he was there right at his appointment time and got to see the doc. We were too, but the 10 minute wait pushed us out the door? I get it, they run a tight schedule. But patients aren’t clocks, computers, or automobiles. We’re people, and with a wife that can’t sleep, can’t walk, can’t care for the kids until she finds some relief, we were offered a new appointment 6 days away. We will hopefully get to see Dr. L and find some help, but Elliot Orthopedics is run more like a dealership service department than an office that cares about people.

This is the worst place I've ever been. I have a ganglion cyst on my median nerve. My primary care Dr. Sent me to have it removed. It was a week wait to get in. Upon my arrival they tell me the appointment was scheduled wrong that I was supposed to be sent to the surgeon not a rn. They reschedule me for the following week. As the surgeon looks at me he says I'm not touching that it's too close to an artery. The artery is clearly visible and the incision point would be a full inch away that's too close? He then says that's not your problem anyway the median nerve isn't there. The says I need to go to neurology and see what the real issue is. Not being a Dr. Myself I assume he knows what he's talking about after leaving I Google median nerve and find that it's exactly where the cyst is. I go to the neurology appointment who also says that's where the nerve is and tests confirm it's causing a pinching of the nerve. So now at this point from the point I called my Dr. Until my scheduled follow up with the surgeon I'm at 5 weeks of my hand being numb a dull constant pain that at time escalates into a full throbbing pain impairing my ability to do my job. I call and say I want the surgery scheduled no more wasted visits. They tell me they'll call me back that day nothing, I call again same, i call a 3rd time and say i want to file a complaint. They tell me again someone will call me back i say no thank you I'll just come in to file a complaint. I get there they give me a print out of my visit and tell me to speak to a patient liaison at a different location. I go there and speak to her and file a complaint her name is soraya and she is very pleasant and seems very helpful. 2 weeks later I get a letter saying im banned from ortho "because of my personality" yet my office visit paperwork says pleasant kind individual. So apparently if you speak up about a surgeon not doing his job you'll be band. I call soraya and she's "on vacation" but will get back to me the following Monday. That never happens so 1.5 weeks after the Monday she was supposed to call I call and basically get told it'll be looked into at some point they have too many complaints so it takes a long time and in the meantime my hand is numb and wrist in pain until I can get into another hospital. Now at about 9 weeks of trying to deal with this and my work suffering from my hand being numb. I had been there 1 other time for a simple surgery and had an awful experience then too. This is not a good place and should be avoided if you have any other options
