I firmly believe that I made the right choice by proceeding with my rhinoplasty with Dr. Smith. Dr. Smith clearly outlined all the outcomes of my rhinoplasty and its success with regards to my breathing/function and my perspective (i.e., what I wanted to see change) based on his assessment. These outcomes and my personal expectations provided me with an explicit understanding of how I may perceive the success of the surgery. However, 3 months after the surgery, I feel like the outcomes exceeded my expectations. Dr. Smith and his fellow did a wonderful job on the surgery and i am very grateful for their expertise and skills. I also feel great that my before and after pictures are uploaded to the website for others to see. I would also like to make note that the Oakley Smith staff were wonderful and I sincerely appreciate their hard work and charm. Overall, I had an absolutely wonderful experience and I highly respect Dr. Smith’s work.

Dr.oakley smith himself was incredible ! the issue is the RECEPTIONIST I had my surgery about 5 or 6 years ago and I was suppose to have a free follow up appointment after the surgery and she keeps making it hard for me to make my appointment by upping the price when its a follow up already stated to be a free appointment on top of that i've tried on numerous occasions to make an appointment now for Cosmetic reasons and shes making that extremely hard to even though i have rescheduled i have only done that once and she insisted on charging me $300 before i even make the appointment this lady has been RUDE to me for years and i am now going to have to go to another doctor because I am not able to talk to oakley smith himself and there is only one receptionist which is extremely messed up of her to treat me this way hopefully dr oakley smith sees this so i can get my damn follow up appointment from surgery from 5 year ago but also pay for the cosmetic consultation AT the same time! im sick of waiting. I would write to him directly about the issue but he does not have a personal email :( :'(

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I can not speak highly enough on Dr. Smith’s professionalism, knowledge, and without a doubt legendary talent! I contacted his office 2 years prior to actually booking my surgery, Beena, the front desk, was helpful, kind and very patient with me. This was not an easy decision for me due to horror stories I had heard and the not so pretty recoveries and results I had witnessed. I had extensive open rhinoplasty and septoplasty for severe blockage, plus mini plate and two stents. Pretty much a long complex surgery, and from surgery day to recovery it went unbelievably smooth. Mandy the patient care coordinator has been amazing with helping me any time of the day, and the whole team is the best around! For a long time, I have felt insecure about my nose. I decided to meet with Dr. Oakley Smith, a well-known plastic surgeon here in Toronto in October 2020. I immediately felt safe and heard. At my initial consultation, Dr. Oakley's coordinator, Mandy, took many pictures of my nose from different angles. I then spent time with Dr. Smith casually talking about my nose — what I liked and disliked about it. Then he did an evaluation to see if I'd be a candidate for rhinoplasty. Dr. Oakley inspected the inside of my nose to check for a deviated septum (which he found). He examined the thickness of my skin, measured the width of my nose, and checked out the tip, all quick and painless. Using the images taken, Dr. Oakley showed me the revised pictures of what my nose could look like with surgery, and WOW, what a rush of happiness! It was honestly everything I was hoping for: smoother and smaller, but still me. At that moment, I knew he was the surgeon for me. I was definitely feeling nervous the morning of surgery but mostly excited because I knew I was in the best hands. When I woke up, I had gauze under my nose to catch the blood but otherwise looked pretty standard, as the swelling and bruising hadn't set in yet. I wasn't in ANY pain. I just felt extremely congested. By the next day, I expected to wake up looking like a monster, but I didn't, all because Dr. Oakley uses a technique that cuts the bones and hard cartilage without injuring soft tissues. With every day that passed, I felt better. I had no pain throughout the process. I just felt congested and uncomfortable, almost like I had a bad cold, but nothing Tylenol couldn't handle. 5 days after my surgery, I got my cast removed, and when Dr. Oakley handed me the mirror for the big reveal, I almost didn't want to look. But when I did, I literally cried tears of joy. I truly hated my nose before, and suddenly it was so cute. I am now 10 days post-op, and I could not be happier. My new nose is absolute perfection, and I haven't experienced a tinge of regret. I truly cannot thank Dr. Oakley and his team enough for making me feel so taken care of. You are the best!

What can I say about the most talented plastic surgeon in CANADA , my daughter needed his touch to get a perfect nose and she got exactly what she always wanted with minimal pain and swelling! I was send to Dr Smith by another specialist. He took one look and said I can't help you and you need to go see dr smith. He has a nice place in the beaches with friendly secretary and other girl who take pictures. I was injured on my nose and couldnt breath in and out. I had to wait a year for the operation. I saw another doctor who said I should wait. After my operation I can breath like before and my nose looks straight and not crooked. He is a good doctor and fixed my nose.

Dr Oakley is fantastic if you can get through his dense receptionist. He desperately needs a new one who actually cares about Dr Oakley's patients as Dr Oakley does. We have had post op complications and reached out to the numbers provided, as well as contacting the office directly and her responses are the most uncaring, uninterested and absolutely useless. Unfortunate for Dr Oakley, as he's very understanding and wants to help make your surgery day as smooth as possible. ** Recieved a call back from Mandy (not the useless receptionist) who has informed us that the complication is of actual concern and is contacting Dr Oakley directly. The receptionist brushed this issue off telling us to appear for our scheduled follow up, with no other alternatives. We now await a return call from Mandee to find out where we will be meeting with the Dr to have the damages looked at.

I will say that another way. I was super nervous, but Dr. Smith and his staff made my procedure an absolute breeze. Dr. Oakley Smith is one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in Toronto. I searched for a doctor with his skill, knowledge and credentials for about two years beforehand. I had my surgery at the beginning on February 2015. I found him through a friend who went through rhinoplasty and was in love with his work. I had a rhinoplasty and scar reduction surgery, which took about 8-9 hours and cost an arm and a leg (don’t cheap out people!!!!! As you get what you pay for and I am very satisfied with my results). It was well worth it. I decided to do rhinoplasty after a terrible car accident. My nose was severely damaged and misaligned to the point where breathing was questionable. I also had a bump on the bridge of my nose and the tip was pointed downwards. The scar on my face was uneven, deep and fairly noticeable. It went from my forehead, down to on top of my eyelid down to right above my temple on the right side. I couldn’t eat solid food and forced myself to have liquid food for about two weeks. I couldn’t brush my teeth for a week straight and was super hard to do for a couple weeks. I had all my stitches removed 3 days after my surgery. Dr. Oakley Smith said, he put 30-40+ stitches all over my face, in total. I heal quickly but I kept bleeding which was normal. I wasn’t as swollen as regular patients. I had my cast and stints removed a week after surgery. After that, I’ve been on my own and only email Dr. Oakley Smith when I have a question or concern and he emails me back within the same day or sometime during the week. Dr. Oakley Smith truly cares about his patients and is always available to answer my questions. He does not over exaggerate results at the beginning and tells you his honest opinion (which some surgeons fail to do). He was very empathetic throughout the whole process and provided my family with strict guidelines on aftercare. However, I must warn all of you that post-surgery you will look terrible (swollen, bloody and in lots of pain) but if you follow his aftercare instructions and stay calm, post op and healing is a breeze. We’ve had our regular post op 3 months meet and plan to meet again in November. My scar now looks fantastic, by the way! Although the scar will always be there, the appearance of it has lessened dramatically. He did an amazing job with the scar and I am very happy. I have had tape on my face since he took out all the stitches and will continue to have the tape on until, hopefully, November. Nonetheless, I am very pleased with Dr. Oakley Smith and all his work with my nose and my scar.

Dr. Smith is an exceptionally skilled doctor and has provided me with the best treatment one could possibly hope for, on two separate occasions in the last ten years. As a previous patient of his (I originally saw him in 2010 for which he provided me with amazing treatment/results), I recently saw him as I had some aesthetic concerns about my slightly curving septum. After careful examination, and once he had discussed all options with me, we agreed on a non-surgical treatment, which he felt would achieve the result I was hoping for. This involved a mostly painless procedure to inject filler in order create the illusion of a straight nose. I would rate the injection pain only 2/10, at the most. I couldn't be happier with the end result - it is absolutely amazing how much a small amount of expertly injected filler can impact the overall appearance of the nose. I also very much appreciated his honesty and candidness when discussing my options and managing my expectations. Furthermore, he and his staff are all very friendly, easy to talk to and deal/coordinate with, and treat their clients extremely well. I highly recommend Dr. Smith for both surgical and non-surgical treatments.

Dr. Oakley Smith is very honest and realistic. He and his team, both at the office and hospital, are very welcoming and put you at ease so you know you are in good hands. My teenage son broke his nose a few years ago and was very unhappy with it. He went to see Dr. Oakley Smith with a breathing obstruction and for cosmetic reasons. While the doctor agreed that my son needed the surgery, it was also important for the doctor to ensure that he was mature enough to handle the process of surgery and recovery. He was straightforward about the probability of success in correcting the alignment of his nose (as it was a bad break) so we did not go into this surgery blindly. The final results were excellent! My son is extremely pleased with how his nose looks and his breathing ability now. He looks like he did before he broke his nose. As parents, my husband and I felt our son was in good hands from our initial visit at Dr. Oakley Smith's office.

Dr. Smith was recommended for a second opinion, but he did much more - today my 20-year-old son can breath better and he has a handsome looking nose! In March 2016, I had my third and final surgery from Dr Smith. I reluctantly traveled from Edmonton, and honestly, I was initially going to go the US to search for a Dr that could fix my botched nose until a friend of mine referred me to what he said was the ‘best surgeon’. In my opinion (and I’m sure his), my nose was a mess. My husband and I met with him in his very welcoming office and he answered all my questions in a very realistic manner. He never once promised that I would have a ‘perfect nose’, but that he could most definitely improve it. Today, I can honestly tell you I am blown away with the results. In my opinion, my nose IS perfect. Before the surgery I was always self-conscious of my profile because it didn’t suit my small face. He was able to somehow make it smaller and not so prominent (which the previous Dr never did). This wasn’t even my main concern coming in to see him. My nose had shifted making it crooked and hard to breathe. He fixed it and I absolutely LOVE it. Silly to say, but I compare my nose to everyone and I tell my husband it’s a Kim Kardashian nose now! If there is anything negative I can say about my experience, it would be that the swelling took a couple years to completely come down (which only I could notice), but Dr Smith told me that was because of how extensive the surgery was. Still, because I was scared and had two prior surgeries, I panicked a bit and would call the office frequently and he would personally assure me it would come down in time (in his gentle voice). Now looking back, I feel that he was very humble in the way he told me he could indeed get ‘better results’. I never would have expected this much better!!! I am so happy; I would like to assure anyone who is scared, like I was, to put all of your trust in him. He is an incredible Doctor and extremely talented. I would recommend him to anyone and say ...look no further....

I’m not someone who usually would post a review online. As I often see the most grumpy and negative people writing ratings. I was compelled to write one about Dr. Smith after he operated on me. I was very happy with the results he’s a great guy and I feel confident in his hands. He explained exactly what he was going to do and did exactly what he said was planned. I went to see him again afterwards to have my stitches removed and once again the whole experience was great. I would highly recommend him.

I just had my 3 month check up with Dr. Oakley Smith after a long and challenging surgery. About 30 years ago I had surgery on my nose to remove a bump and about 10 years later I started having problems breathing. I just thought it was normal until it became so bad that I had to breath through my mouth when I slept. Eventually, I decided to seek the help of a specialist in this area but thought that the problem was related to a structural sinus problem. I researched 3 very good doctors in the Toronto area and met with all 3. It was during these visits that I found out that I had lateral wall collapse of my nose on both sides and that it likely was caused by the first surgery. The first doctor didn't think he could do anything to help me. The second said it would be a long complicated surgery but would probably help, but he said I didn't have enough of my own cartilage in the nose. That would mean he would have to take cartilage from behind my ear and possibly my rib. A last resort would be donor cartilage. The would make the surgery more complicated and prone to post-surgical problems. Dr. Oakley Smith was my last surgeon, and he quickly told me that he thought I had enough cartilage and wouldn't need donor etc. He was interested, frank when discussed the rate of success for this surgery, and kind. I wasn't sure if he just didn't notice the last of cartilage that the second surgeon had mentioned, but decided to go with him anyway based on his reviews. I am soooooooo glad! The surgery went fine. I had very little discomfort afterwards, and saw him at day 6 when he removed the cast etc. Not only did he repair the structural damage, but he reduced the projection of my nose by 6 mm, which is a lot! The length of my nose always bothered me so I was thrilled with that. Today he confirmed that it was looking great inside. I can breath like a normal person and I love the look of my nose also. Your nose is something that is hard to hide and it deserves someone who does nothing but rhinoplasty day after day. Thank you Dr. Oakley Smith! See you in 9 months!

Note: this is about the customer service and not about the work of Dr Oakley Smith I went in for a consultation a few years ago and was looking to follow up about some questions and booking in a surgery, after multiple emails in the last 6.5 months - radio silence. No response, no acknowledgement of my email, nothing. Because of this, now i have no other choice but to go elsewhere since they do not seem to want to respond. Super dissappointing as Dr Oakley was lovely in the consult.

Dr. Oakley and his staff are extremely kind, welcoming, and talented. From the moment I walked into Dr. Oakley's office, I felt welcomed and I immediately knew that I was in good hands. Dr. Oakley is unique because he gives you a nose that matches your face ... so much so that I refer to my new nose as the nose that I was meant to have all along. No one could notice that I had surgery after it was done. My healing time was remarkable. I had little to no bruising and was not once in any kind of pain. Dr. Oakley is so talented and if I could go back, I would make the decision to have him do my surgery 1000 times over. I am so thankful for Dr. Oakley and his staff for making me feel confident. I had revision rhinoplasty with Dr Oakley Smith after I was botched in my primary rhinoplasty. I had hoped that the issues I had been left with would be fixed and I would have a nose that I could breathe from and that looked normal/good. Initially my nose looked okay (it looked a little crooked, but I had thought it was swelling). But things worsened as time went on and Dr Smith would not give me a clear answer as to what the issue was, I was told something different each time I saw him. He eventually told me my airway is clear, etc. I could tell the issues I was experiencing were the result of a collapse, etc. Eventually I decided to go in for consults with different surgeons to get second opinions. Basically my worst fears were confirmed and I would need another revision to fix them. I had lost faith in Dr Smith by the time I saw him for my one year appointment. At the appointment he basically cemented my belief that he was not someone I could trust to fix the issues he left me with. I would not recommend him based on my own poor experience with him and with how many others I have met that have been left worse off (collapsed noses, etc).

I'm about 6 months post op (rhinoplasty surgery July 2020) and I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Dr.Smith and his team. Overall, the team was very helpful and attentive with any questions that I had both pre and post op. I absolutely love the final result from the surgery. Dr.Smith and I discussed a subtle and natural looking difference and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The main goal was to reduce the hump and de-project the nose. It turned out exactly like I had envisioned. He has a great ability to understand your expectations and provide a realistic description of what could be achieved. I was a bit apprehensive about getting rhinoplasty (had thought about it for over 10 years) and after a lot of research am happy I finally went through with it. It genuinely was a great decision for me and would never look back.

After 2 botched surgeries on my nose with another surgeon who shall remain annoymous, I asked for a second opinion, and was referred to Dr. Oakley Smith. From the first moment I had contact with this office I was impressed. Pure professionalism all the way! My consult was extremely thorough. I have never had a specialist spend almost an hour with me! Prior to surgery, the treatment plan was reviewed in detail, and I had opportunity to ask questions. My actual surgery was more involved than anticipated, and quite lengthy. It has been less than a week since my surgery, and I have yet to have stents removed , but I have a very positive feeling about the outcome. Dr. Smith and his staff were worth every dollar, and I have no regrets. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I will definitely be getting a revision by a different doctor. I heard so many great things about doctor smith, sadly my experience wasn’t great. My breathing before wasn’t great and 4 months post op it’s worse. Within the past 2 weeks I’ve gotten 5 nosebleeds, which is new. This didn’t happen before surgery. The front of my nose is still crooked, my bridge is “choppy” looking (there are dents in it), from the side it looks good, but my tip is somewhat bulbous/droopy. From the front my tip is bulbous and my nostrils look flared and when I smile it drags my tip downward (which looks really bad from the side) and on top of that my one nostril is really small looking, compared to the other and my columella is bowed out. I really regret spending $12,000 on results that I’m going to need redone for functional and aesthetic purposes. I wouldn’t recommend him.

I had breathing issues due to my septum being seriously deviated and also had a large hump. A specialist my family doctor referred me to was only able to fix my septum so he referred me to Dr. Oakley who was able to fix my septum and my hump in one surgery. That's one of Dr. Oakley many skills. Surprisingly, the surgery was painless and I had very minor swelling post surgery. I could not be more happier with the appearance of my nose and I can breathe better than ever. Dr. Oakley will not finish up the operation until he is fully satisfied that your nose is the best it can be. He also has a team of great people, Mandy and Beena were very helpful throughout my journey and took care of me.

From the moment I stepped into Dr. Smith's office I had a good feeling. I went to 3 other consultations prior to this appointment but I noticed that Dr. Smith had done the most thorough examination of my nose. He took his time, listened to my concerns and preferences, drew and wrote extensively, and at the end of our appointment he told me what he could achieve (my case was more complex than the average rhinoplasty). This is not to say that he has limitations, but rather that at my prior appointments, I knew they were telling me what I wanted to hear. For years my self-esteem had been low because of my nose (particularly my profile), but now I have a beautiful profile and I can breathe properly again!! My nose is so natural, true to my facial structure, and has given me much more confidence. Sometimes when I see photos of my profile, I can't believe it's me! I follow up with Dr. Smith every year and he's still patient, extremely kind, and passionate about what he does. I'm grateful every day for his incredible work! He is the best surgeon and I wouldn't hesitate to refer friends or family to him. Also, his office is absolutely beautiful so it's a pleasure attending my appointments. That being said, for anyone considering rhinoplasty who also suffers from low self-esteem or a mental health condition like myself (body dysmorphic disorder), please know that rhinoplasty will not solve all of your insecurities. It was certainly a step in the right direction as I feel 1000X better about myself, but it's important to be in a good state of mind before pursuing surgery. Years prior, I almost pursued surgery with a doctor without doing research because I was desperate to "fix" myself. Thankfully, 24 hours before that surgery I did my research and found horror story after horror story online and immediately cancelled. I'm so glad I did that and spent a few years working on my state of mind because it ultimately led me to Dr. Smith. I love my new nose but even the best surgeon in the world can't change how you perceive yourself.

From the consultation to my last follow up appointment dealing with Dr. Smith and his team has been a pleasure.
