Good gravy- I don’t even know where to start! I had done extensive research prior to my MMO and upon having a consultation with Dr. Reisin I immediately knew he was MY PS. Everyone from my care coordinatior Tonya, pre-surgical nurse Antoinette, the amazing surgical staff, and of course Dr. Reisin himself were absolutely amazing throughout my who surgical experience thus far. I am 12 DPO from my MMO and I know if I call with any questions or concerns, I get responses to my questions immediately. Dr. Reisin well exceeded any and all of my expectations and I cannot begin to thank him and his staff enough for all they have done for me. I never felt like a “number” and have always felt like a priority. (Nope- I defiantly was not paid or compensated for this testimony by any mean) I am a real, 100% satisfied patient and cannot recommend STAR Plastics, specifically Dr. Reisin enough. I still have a long recovery road a head of me, but am already completely amazed with my results. Dr. Reisin is a true artist and is genuinely amazing at what he does. You will not regret choosing STAR for your surgical needs.

I went in for a Breast augmentation about 7 years ago . I was younger then and naïve and I should’ve done more research. When my breasts finally settled after the swelling , they had a double bubble effect. So it almost looks line a roll under my breast on both sides. This is caused by the doctor not making the proper size incision. So my implant dropped below my natural breast tissue. To correct this I would have to pay for a whole Nother surgery and have my implants removed incorrectly replaced with new implants. I would NOT recommend getting an augmentation here. My breasts look deformed.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! Let me start off by saying that I don’t EVER do reviews for anything. Let alone something as personal as this. But this is NOT the place you want to go to for cosmetic surgery if you are trying to have above average results! The place is very clean. And the staff is overall polite! But as far as actual surgery in which I had , LIPOSUCTION AND GYNO (chest surgery) it was at best 5/10 work! I started out only about 25 pounds overweight with just a few slight love handles ! But overall my build was pretty athletic! After 2 surgeries and also getting em sculpt on my abs I still do not have a 6 pack. And it’s still a lot of extra fat around my mid section! Especially the lower abdomen area! When I asked Dr Reisin (Dr who did both surgeries) why my results were so poor. He would say I was still swollen and it would all go down!!! Wasn’t true. I did have some swelling but even 8 months later I still am not completely flat in my abdomen! I also have scars that are still very visible when I’m shirtless! He told me he gave me his best shot!!! BEST SHOT!!!! I spent about 13K for these surgeries, this is what he had to say! Also I work out 4-5 times a week and eat pretty clean. So again I’m convinced that this Dr is not it when it comes to sculpting and Lipo!!! Honestly the only reason I didn’t give them a 2/5 stars is because I lived through both surgeries!!! That’s obviously a good thing ! Lol At the end of the day, I would say PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH…. And if ur looking for above average results DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Let me start by saying I went for a consultation 10 years ago and decided to wait, boy am I glad I did!! I invested in a tummy tuck and liposuction; surgery was 9/1/21, performed byDr. Ozolin. From the consultation, to date I am very glad I chose Star. When you see the commercial which states the facility is state of the art, the description is accurate. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, the wait is never long and the doctor is very personable. The operating staff were the absolute best with explaining the process from intake to release the day of surgery. My surgery was scheduled for 7:00 a.m. Nurse Lindsay & Ricky were fun at 5 :00 a.m which allowed me not to relax. The anesthesiologists (Stephanie, Conrad & Lisa) were the same, explaining every step until I went to sleep and in recovery. Dr. O began the surgery at 7, I was home resting by 11. I never experienced pain just discomfort (I did not take the prescribed medicine AT ALL). I’m 90 days post op today, still under doctors care and loving my results.

The results are amazing and my scar healed perfectly and I believe that it will be nearly invisible once completely healed. Update: it’s been 3 months since my surgery. I cannot say enough great things about this office! Every follow up appointment has been amazing. The after care is top notch. I feel like they really are looking out for their clients and their best interest. Do not look elsewhere. This is the place you want to get any procedure! I worked with Dr. Ozolins. She was amazing! She has such great bedside manner and was extremely patient and thorough with me. I went to Star for a consultation 8/2020 and Dr Reisin asked me what I wanted to have done. I told him lipo of my belly and breast implants. He explained to me that I really just needed a tummy tuck and a breast lift. I had surgery 12/4/2020 and WOW! Just WOW! My results are amazing! I moved to Florida in April 2021 and decided to come back to Michigan for a neck lift and arm lift. Surgery is tomorrow 8/18/21. Is f you’re looking for a compassionate Dr this is the place! Star Plastic Surgery has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff is amazing. I went in to Dr Reisen 7/2019 for a breast-implant removal (from 1999) and a breast uplift. I also inquired about hernia surgery that I needed repaired but didn't want a big hook-scar running down my stomach. The doctor made a suggestion in having the incision run along my bikini-line and ultimately doing a tummy tuck (and sewing the stomach muscles-up over that hernia). It was all amazing and results were wonderful. One year later, there were some things I wanted touched up. Dr Resein offered revisions for free. However, I would just need to cover the anesthesia (very common practice) and facility office fees (next door). I figured why not get some other options done aswell (upper-thigh lipo) since I would already be under anesthesia. He also offered some touchup lipo in the stomach-area just to pull it all together. WOW!!! My body looks 20+years younger. Thank you to Dr Reisen and staff. including the facility next door. Fabulous experience!

If you decide to go here don't let Dr. O TOUCH YOU! I did lypo with her and now I have uneven fat pockets everywhere. She also took out fat from under my chin and never explained to me that I would have saggy skin after, plus she took fat from the sides of my chin and left the middle chunky. I can't even believe she's a licensed dr. Shame on you Dr O! When I get other real plastic surgery doctors opinions they tell me the fix her work all the time! You suck Dr O!

I would recommend Dr Reisin and his staff a million times over. I traveled 2 hours to have a mommy makeover at Star and am so glad I did. I had numerous consults before deciding on Star and had done extensive research. I am from the Cleveland area and had branched out because I just wasn’t finding the right fit for me. I reached out to Star Plastics based on some reviews from a Facebook group and am so glad I did. Tonya was wonderful in coordinating everything, she was easy to get a hold of and answered every question I had. When meeting Dr Reisin himself, he was very kind and made me feel comfortable immediately. In previous consults I had a much larger implant size recommended to me and Dr Reisin was clear that that would not be the best route for my body. He was extremely thorough in explaining each procedure and why he was recommending the sizes and procedures outline. The day of surgery everyone from my nurses to the anesthesiologist were empathetic, efficient, and kind. I am now 5 days out from surgery, healing beautifully and already blown away by my results. I would also like to extend a giant thank you to my nurse, Ricky, for calming my ridiculous anxiety in Pre-op. My mommy makeover is incredibly natural and beautifully done. THANK YOU to Dr. Reisin and staff for a wonderful experience and for giving me my body back.

This business has so much potential. But I feel that some of Dr. Reisin’s staff doesn’t reflect the warm inviting feel that I received from the doctor himself. Some of his staff comes across a bit unorganized and a lack of urgency. I utilized their website to schedule a consult in March or April of 2021. I didn’t receive a call regarding it until May. But Courtney must have realized that and was able to get me a consult same day. I feel that if someone would have called me within 48hrs of my online request, my consult would have been sooner and I would have been able to schedule surgery sooner than the dates that were offered. After my wonderful consult I was transferred back to Courtney. She ensured me that she would have my quote in hand that same day and she did. After looking it over, I called the office immediately as I know that surgery dates can fill up quickly and I was all ready a month behind due to no one contacting with my initial inquiry. Courtney informed me that the individuals that were responsible for scheduling we’re gone for the day. And that they would call me in the morning. I didn’t receive a call the following morning nor the afternoon. I became anxious because surgery slots can fill up really quickly. So I called and left a message. After a few hours, still no return call. I called again and no one that schedules was still available. I finally get a call later that day and was provided with dates that I would not be able to use as I had informed them prior that I could only have it done in the summer, which is why I reached out to them awhile ago. I was informed that they had 3 pages of people wanting it sooner. I understood but had I been called a month prior I’m sure there would have been dates available in June or July as the dates I were given were in August when my children return to school. I would have felt better if someone there would have acknowledged that they did not get to my inquiry in a timely manner and placed some urgency on my appointment due to the oversight. I also feel that when you are giving out quotes that are thousands of dollars, customer service should reflect that. Again if the customer service matched the wonderful reception that I received from the doctor, this place would be stellar.

I love Dr. Resin, but the office staff there is just horrible. I purchased a package for the BBL laser before Covid started. Wasn’t able to finish due to the pandemic. I called back to get on the schedule and the esthetician who performed the service left. So they had no one trained to perform the laser. Instead of calling me they said they issued a refund check for the remaining balance that I never received. I had to call over 6 times and two months later still no refund. I eventually yell at the staff to get my money refunded. Horrible customer service. I would never use them again. It’s unfortunate because Dr. Resin is a good doctor.

I went into Star surgery for a consultation in 2010. They had me fill out an application and had me come back into a room to explain the procedure. When it came to the question of price they automatically assumed I didn't have the money and explained how they had a patient who made payments for two years until she could afford her procedure. I immediately left and found Dr. Ellen in Birmingham, MI who is an amazing surgeon and was more then happy to expect my money.

LIP FILLER GONE WRONG. $750 I wish I never spent. I’ve waited a little over a month now to post my review. I was waiting to get past my anger for this happening to me and now I’m just absolutely devastated with the way I look. They are swollen all the time for absolutely no reason. Bumps are visible 24/7. This isn't normal. I went in on 6/13/20 and had lip fillers performed by Dr. Reisin. Was told he could achieve my goals & felt confident that we could improve my asymmetry. Immediately after I got home, they looked great. Come day 2, the entire right side of my lip had NO filler and there was a huge and noticeable divot and volume decrease compared to my left side. See pictures. 6/23/20 - I thought okay, I will give it another week & it ended up just getting worse. Called back to get it corrected for an error he made and was told he would “do the best he could” but would need to pay another $300. First time around I paid $450 for 1 syringe since it was their “Spring Special.” At that point, I thought fixing it was better than leaving it. I was wrong. Upon him examining what happened, he said “you must of had bleeding and it kind of looks like you have a little bit of a cleft-lip.” I never had a cleft-lip and was NEVER diagnosed with that at birth…I think I would of noticed that. Half of a syringe was put in on my right side and overfilled it. My lip is now rock-solid, and I have ALL of these bumps from the filler that have fallen and it feels like rice is stuck underneath my lips. SEE PICS! They get inflamed while talking and are visible now. I now look like my right side droops. He also said if I ever come back in, that I am to see Christine – she’s much better at this than he is…then why wasn’t i directed to her in the first place?! I probably wouldn’t even be having this issue. He also said I can come back and use the rest of my syringe within 6 months if I need the other side evened out. How do I know you are REUSING the same syringe that was mine, storing it properly, and not to mention THE RISK OF INFECTION?!?! That is malpractice. Negligence of your patient’s safety. 6/29/20 – I go and get a second opinion and they were appalled that I 1. Had to pay again for his mistake and 2. That he let me leave the office like that and 3. They have absolutely no idea why I would have these blisters form that inflame throughout the day. They said they have never seen anything like it and it definitely isn’t an allergic reaction of any sort. It was from improper technique and that the filler must’ve been superficially injected right at my skin and not beneath layers like it should. I bursted out into tears. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was never followed up with when I was told, did not receive aftercare instructions if there were any. And boy oh boy…there ARE certain things you should be doing to help these heal. 7/3 – I went back into the office to get “reevaluated” and he said my lips look “great” and he’s sorry for the inconvenience I am experiencing. He does not honor refunds. He said I signed off on my waiver that “I can expect bumps.” These aren’t bumps, these are lumps...that hang down from my lips IN FRONT of my teeth. He then told me “well, I can give you a friend of mine as a reference to take your Juvaderm syringe to and inject the rest.” I probably won’t use his reference. So, I have called around and no other doctor will inject the rest of my syringe. 1 - it’s too much of a liability for them and 2 - They can’t possibly know that what I’d be having them inject me with is in fact Juvaderm. I'm thinking this is illegal after talking to 2 other doctor's about my experience. SO - I paid $300 and they knew I wouldn’t be able to use this elsewhere. Total waste of money. Will never come back come back to Star. I am left deformed. Nice that they dissolve with time, but not nice on your wallet when you're going to get them dissolved.

Visited this place today as a friend suggested for a consult and they left me sitting in a cold room in nothing but a paper gown for almost an hour. I never got to see the doctor I left. On top of that they claim to do fat transfer but only had one pic to show me. After that wait I decided to find some place more professional that will appreciate my time and money. She’s amazing, when I talk about her I say “she’s a little hidden gem” my results are better than I could’ve expected. She has brought light back into my life with her work.
