I had nine put in almost 9 years ago. 3 months later they looked worse off then then before I started. Because of the fact I spent so much money and shame I felt it was my fault. Not anymore. He's a big talker who did not provide results.
The best doctor and support staff I have ever dealt with! Apart from being a phenomenal surgeon, his bedside manner is highly professional and compassionate. I really appreciate the incredible ease of communication with both his practice at Women's College and Toronto Plastic Surgery. The level of organization and punctuality really stand out in comparison to other doctors I have dealt with, be it private or public. The staff are always willing to accommodate and assist if and when Dr. Brown is not available. Most importantly, I could not be happier with the aesthetic results! The finished product surpassed my expectations. He is conscientious in providing the patient their desired result within the realms of reality.
Expert, professional and caring! Feel calm and confident with your wise choice of Dr.Brown and his support staff.
Was a patient about 10 years ago. I started to get capsular contraction within a few months of surgery. For my first post op follow up I had asked Dr Brown why were my breasts so hard and he said it was the muscle and it had not relaxed yet. Just a few months later my breast were on top of my chest towards my neck and painful and would not move. I called his office and told them and to make an appointment and they would not return my calls. I assume he did not want to deal with the problem and redo them for a discounted price so money is definitely a priority to him not the wellbeing of his patient. Extremely disappointing!I went to another surgeon who took them out and said the contracture was very bad and the sac was like thick leather! He is not the best surgeon and he clearly knew something was wrong at the first post op and the fact that it happened so quickly make me suspicious they he put them in the wrong place or did not make the space big enough as it felt very tight from day one and only got worse. If you have any post op problems he will not be there for you.
Dr. Brown & staff are absolutely amazing!!! I came to Dr. Brown unsure if I was even able to have cosmetic surgery with my complicated past medical history, he not only reassured me but asked questions, requested medical records & in all just made me feel better with my decision. I am only 2 months post surgery but I am so happy with my results & am 100% positive I wouldn't have achieved them without his experience & skill. His office staff & clinic staff were amazing, attentive & supportive. As I write this I am getting choked up because I just can't say enough about them all! Thank you so much Dr. Brown & staff xo
“You seem to be such a patient, understanding and insightful person. “Thank you for your kindness and generosity and of course your skill as a surgeon. I am pleased and feel very fortunate that I chose you”
I got ALCL cancer from my Allergan 410 cohesive gel textured silicone implants that Dr Mitchell Brown (Toronto, Ontario) put in. Now, this isn't his fault, but he knew I had the symptoms and didn't tell me to get tested for it, and consequently I've had cancer and awful symptoms for 17 months longer than I should have. After 17 months of pain, agony, awful rashes and a massive persistent seroma, I finally found out about ALCL on my own. In fact, none of the surgeons I saw mentioned it, I suspect because it's not in their interest to have people find out that they have cancer caused by implants, since the bad publicity would discourage the public from getting them, and it could open them up for lawsuits. I told the 4th surgeon I saw that I wanted to be tested and he said that the biopsy they did would have shown it (not true - he deliberately didn't do that kind of test), and anyways, it's so rare that I shouldn't consider that. Well, I went to a cancer center and had myself tested and I definitely do have ALCL, which shouldn't be surprising to anyone with a brain since I have all the symptoms. So, my point is that just because the stats say it's rare doesn't mean it is. Sometimes the industry doesn't want you to know about it. The treatment is explantation and capsulectomy, unless it's spread by now (in which case I have to do radiation and chemotherapy -- I'll be doing a PETscan to test this soon). I'm sure that a lot of the women with late seromas, capsular contracture, etc. who had explantation had ALCL and just didn't know it because their doctors didn't want them to know it.
From the moment I walked in I felt at ease and knew, I picked the right doctor. I had a reduction with lift only 4 weeks ago not only are they fantastic they fit my body perfectly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Brown to my family or friends.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Brown and Angela in 2003 and to be honest I couldn't got through this ordeal without them...They were my ROCK in more than one way...I highly recommended this TEAM to the whole world Love Shelley
Without a doubt one of the best surgeons in Canada.
I have nothing but good things to say for the clinical staff and Dr. BROWN. He is very nice, professional and did a great job during my surgical procedure. I have zero hesitations of recommending him to anyone. He is great.
Had my surgery done in 2004, and recommended numerous friends to him over the years without hesitation and they are always so happy with the services provided.
I called the receptionist and she didn't even listen to what I wanted to say! I wanted a consulation appointment but she simply told me that they don't treat scars.
Dr. Brown has been fantastic. He has been so caring throughout my journey. Always putting me at ease throughout this experience. It is great to have a doctor with so much bedside manner. Thanks for all you have done!
Dr. Brown and staff go above and beyond. After losing a significant amount of weight I was left with excess fat on my tummy and thighs that no amount of exercise could get rid of. After lots of thought I decided I would consider surgery to remove these problem areas. I placed a call to Dr. Browns office and that's when I spoke with Sophia who works front desk. Sophia was very kind, helpful,l and informative. On the day of my appointment I met Magdalena who is the surgical patient coordinator, and Michelle who is one of the nurses. Both were amazing and made me feel very comfortable. It was a very nice atmosphere to be in. When I met Dr. Brown I knew almost immediately that he was the Doctor for me. He examined me, he listened and answered all my questions, and the appointment never felt rushed. He was very knowledgeable and charismatic. Fast forward to surgery day.... Going into any surgery can make anyone a bit anxious. I was no exception, but it didn't last long. I sat in the waiting room for a few short minutes and as soon as Dr. Brown walked in I felt at ease and was excited about my procedure. Today, nearly 6 months post tummy tuck, I am thrilled with the results and looking forward to my thigh reduction surgery in a few weeks. Thank you Dr. Brown and staff!!
1000% Satisfied with my decision in choosing Dr.Brown as my surgeon. He has an easy going demeanor that made me feel comfortable every step of the way and all the staff I dealt with were helpful as well. Would have no hesitations in recommending Dr. Brown and his staff to anyone! A+
I highly recommend Dr. Brown for breast surgery.
I went to Dr. Brown for revision breast surgery. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Brown and his team. From the moment I walked into his office, I knew I was in wonderful hands. His confidence and knowledge reassured me instantly, and I knew I would have nothing to worry about in the hands of this skilled surgeon. His bedside manner is superb. Dr. Brown is empathetic and compassionate. My results are absolutely fabulous. During recovery, his staff was always available and prompt in answering my questions and concerns. Several follow-up appointments were scheduled to ensure my healing was on track. Even in the midst of Covid, I felt safe and care was top notch! I wish I would have known about Dr. Brown ten years ago, while going through my cancer journey. Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am to Dr. Brown and his entire team. This is what healthcare should be.

he visited me online once. I had my procedures 4 times in his office all done by the nurse. he didn't even care to show up and look at the result of my procedure. he also offered a gift botax as a discount to my expensive procedure. although I followed up twice, they did not do it for me. I'm not happy with the level of professionalism. the result of my work is also not satisfactory. I'm trying another doctor now.
This is the most disgusting doctor in North America. Would not recommend him at all ... had a surgery with him a few years back ... I now have level 3 capsular contraction which he refuses to correct ... his defense ?? " I did a perfectly good surgery" ... he claims to be the leading doctor in breast cancer reconstruction. Total BOGUS... so rude & literally doesn't care about anything except getting his money. You won't get get the post op care you need with Dr Brown. Actually, it took me two weeks to get a hold of him to discuss the severe pain I'm in and what he was willing to do. I went for a consultation with another doctor who told me about the level 3 capsular contracture. I have met with 2 other doctors as well who said the implant was placed incorrectly. I paid him $10,000.00 In cash ... after the surgery he didn't even follow up with me or call me back for a post op appointment. He claims that it is patient responsibility for post op appointments , not his office or staffs responsibility. Will be launching a law suit against him as well. And writing a real self review of my entire story and experience and depression resulting from Dr. brown as my doctor.
I had a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Aug 1st, 2018 and currently Day:10 Post Op and recovering well. Altho at this moment I can’t see the full results of my surgery because it takes months, I would still like to show my gratitude toward Dr. Brown and his staff. This surgery is life changing, I can’t tell you the amount of research I’ve done in the months leading to my surgery and the anxiety I felt going under this type of procedure. I have never had surgery in my life before. I orginally chose to do a tummy tuck at first and booked a consult back in May but at my consult I also addressed my breast issue, I’ve lost alot of weight but had very large droopy breasts along with sagging tummy. Dr.Brown assured me that the two procedures combined were very common and I am a great candidate but I only agreed for the tummy tuck because I was afraid of having two surgeries combined. So I booked my tummy tuck only. After going home and having a closer look at my body and doing my own research and reading about other peoples experiences in combining the two procedures I called Dr.Browns office back and decided to go along with the breast reduction as well. On the day of the surgery and weeks leading up, I was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life and had so many emotions and thoughts running through my head. Surgery went well and once I awoke I met with the two most amazing nurses...I call them my angels they both had names that start with “J” Joanne I believe (both had similar names) not sure I was heavily medicated. The best care at the Cumberland Clinic was provided. Dr.Brown met me in the early morning day after surgery before I left his clinic. First few days at home are tough, but a great support system at home goes a long way! My follow up appointment was 7 days later because of the long weekend, and that’s is when Stephanie who I have to say is such a wonderful and caring person to deal with made me feel sooo comfortable and showed me the after care for my scars. I just want to say if you are looking for plastic surgeon and are certain you want a procedure done, there is no doubt in me recommending Dr.Brown and his amazing staff to anyone considering plastic surgery. He is the best in this field and very skilled surgeon. Thank you Dr.Brown and the amazing after care nurses at Cumberland clinic and Stephanie. Forever thankful.
I had my breast reduction with Dr. Mitchell Brown and I am so happy, will recommend him to everyone I know .
I had a great experience with Dr. Brown and his support staff. It has been one of the best ones I have had with any doctor. I had surgery about a month ago and though I am still recovering I am very happy with the results so far. Everyone at the office was very supportive and helpful in my recovery process. The staff were always willing to assist me if Dr. Brown was not available. I highly recommend his practice.
I don't think words can describe the positive experience I have had with Dr Brown and his staff since having my breast augmentation surgery on March 29th of this year. As many others have said, Dr Brown came highly recommended to me and I am more than happy that he was my choice of surgeon for this procedure. Dr Brown and his staff have been highly professional, comforting, personable, and knowledgeable. On the day of surgery while my nerves were kicking in, I was made to feel at home by the kindness of all who worked at the Cumberland Clinic. I originally struggled in my mind with determining an appropriate size that would be proportionate to my body and Dr Brown was skillfully able to assist me with choosing a size that I am now absolutely thrilled about. For those contemplating surgery, it should be known that I had an extremely quick, fairly painless recovery and felt back to normal within a few days time. I could not be happier with the outcome thus far and am extremely glad that I went through with this surgery under Dr Browns care. Thank you again for this amazing life change!
I went to Dr. Brown for a reduction of my left breast and reconstruction of my right breast (due to a lumpectomy). I ended up with what I would call a deformed left breast (which is noteably smaller than my right breast) and visible indentation from the fat graft. I suffered terribly after the surgery and to be honest am very disappointed in the results.
Best Doctor in Toronto ! Changed my life ! Fixed a horrible breast augmentation from a previous doctor. Would recommend him to anyone !
