Horrible! First still have a bubble in my implant that was said to be fixed years ago. Main problem now is his botched work on my face. This dr only cares about the money ladies. Seriously do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Left with huge scar on my face when he could try to correct. Instead he rather lay back in Florida with his family while I have to wake up and live like this every day of my life. He will not spend a penny when himself and the spa side ruined my face. There’s plenty of laser treatments available. Not to mention he’s too cheap to operate in the OR and does it in office which is dangerous. Seriously do not go here and I’ve spent a lot on the spa side this place should be shut down

I seriously can not say enough amazing things about Dr. Diederich and the staff at MidAmerica. In September, I met with Dr. Diederich for a consultation regarding breast reduction surgery. I had no idea what to expect, all I knew is that I had spent most of my life wanting this surgery. From the moment I walked in the doors, I knew I had made the right choice. The facility was beautiful, the frontline staff were friendly and helpful, and I was seen within mere moments. Dr. Diederich met with me and was very real about the journey, the pros, the possible cons, the expectations. I knew immediately he was extremely knowledgeable, realistic, and approachable. At no time did I ever feel like he was trying to “sell” me this surgery. He gave the facts and helped me come to the decision that changed my life! Every step was flawless. I was approved for surgery from my insurance in two weeks based on Dr. Diederich’s notes, and the surgery was scheduled for a few months later. (I chose the later date because I had a vacation scheduled) The day of the surgery went off without a hitch (Anderson Hospital staff, I’m looking at you!)and recovery has been incredible. Now, with any plastic surgery, the question is less about health and more about aesthetic. I’m here to tell you, Dr. Diederich is an artist! I’ve never felt this good about myself in my whole life! I’ve cried many many happy tears since the surgery. I’m buying clothes I never thought I would, I’m running, exercising, and I feel ten years younger. I’ve received so many compliments. Today, I had my two month post-op, and when Dr. Diederich asked me to tell him the good, the bad, and the ugly about my experience, I had nothing bad to say. I’ve had absolutely zero complaints; with the process, the facility, the staff, the surgery, the recovery. It’s been truly flawless from day one. My life is brand new! Dr. Diederich did the most incredible job on my breast augmentation. I had previously had implants for nearly 15 years and then had them taken out for 2 1/2 years during which time my chest became concave and looked disfigured to me. Dr. Diederich fixed that. I feel like a woman again and I’m only 2 weeks post-op. They already look amazing and I feel fantastic….it’s incredible to feel sexy again. I barely had pain and only needed pain meds for the first two days following surgery. I am so glad I made the decision to get breast augmentation again and they look even better than the first time around when I had teardrop shaped implants and now I have normal shaped silicone. They feel way better and I went smaller this time so they fit my frame so much better. On top if the great care I got from Dr. D, I also love his staff and Katie has been amazing and I always get responses to my emails quickly and I think all have been the same day. Great care after the procedure is so important and it’s nice to know I have that. Best decision ever!

First and foremost, I was never allowed to feel alone. The communication was easy and thorough. I have a number of health issues that brought into question the safety and overall outcome of any procedure I had chosen to have done. The pre-op testing was incredible and I felt safe having known my present health status before proceeding with any surgery. My wants and desires were addressed with empathy and a strong desire to help. I left feeling secure and well taken care of. The staff, Katie mainly in my case, was amazing. I was able to reach out at any time with questions and concerns and never once felt like I was unwelcome or that they were too busy to take their time with me. It’s so very important to breathe deep and not feel crazy for having concerns and questions. Being able to relax and focus on the goal at hand will be your only task other than enjoying the amazing results. Let the dr do the hard work and enjoy his smiles. Worth every penny.

Five stars is not enough! Laura McKinzie has been doing my skin checks for a few years. We actually drive almost two hours to see her. Her professionalism and her ability to put people at ease is worth the drive. In December of 2019 she found a melanoma behind my knee. I had a basal- cell carcinoma removed eight years ago, but I never expected a melanoma. Laura was very encouraging and helped me through the process. Recently, I was hospitalized with Valley Fever and Sweets Syndrome and Laura helped us navigate this unusual situation. MidAmerica also reached out as an office and encouraged us through this difficult time. If you want excellent care, along with the compassion that you pray for from your doctors....this is the place to go. I have confidence in Laura and this office. My wife had a breast reduction done by this doctor. There were numerous flaws with the surgery. The Dr. stated that there was nothing he could do about the problems. He said that some of the issues with the away within a year however they didn’t . We complained several times throughout the year and he said just wait until the year is up and we would probably be happy. After the year was up and we called to make another appointment to come in to talk about the issues. His office staff told us that after a year he does not do any consultations for free and that it would cost us to come back in and talk to him about the issues. We complained about this to the staff. They went and spoke to the doctor and he stated that that is correct and that we would have to pay to come back in and talk to him. His customer service is horrible however his work is even worse do yourself a favor and stay away from Midamerica plastic surgery.

This review is for the men out there. If you struggle with any form of gyno, fear taking off your shirt in public, or are just not happy with how your chest appears, please give Dr. Ryan Diederich a call and set up a consultation. Male procedures don't take much time (15-30 mins) and the pain is extremely minimal/nonexistent. The doctor and his staff are by far the most understanding and kind medical staff I have ever met. Dr Ryan does excellent life-changing work. Please don't delay any longer.

I was in desperate need for a breast reduction since my teenage years. I went years of feeling embarrassed because no matter what I did, I could not fit properly into clothes with out looking bigger than I was or inappropriate and forget about swimsuits. I couldn't excercise because the weight made it hard to breathe and I couldn't wear the proper sports bra to hold them in place, I had to wear three. I always brought it up to my doctor's about the back pain it caused me, trying to see if they would give me a refurral to have a breast reduction done. I went through physical therapy and nothing helped. I was told pretty much there was not much I could do and that I had to find a way to live with it. Dr. Diederich changed my out look on doctors. He listened to me, eased my fears and made this reduction possible! He did an amazing job! Anything I have ever tried to do for myself has always turned out not as expected or hoped for. But this was everything I had hoped for and more! I am very pleased with the results!!! I can't thank Dr. Diederich enough for all he has done for me! I feel amazing!!!

I had my first consult with a St. Louis doctor... he agreed he could do everything I wanted (upper abdomen lipo [tons of it], flanks, inner knee, implants and tummy tuck). I decided on a second consult near my home. I was devastated when Dr. D. Said he wouldn’t do my total mommy makeover in one setting. He said, he would need to split it in two procedures... lipo & breast argumentation, then the tummy tuck. BEST decision ever! I had an under arm pimple develop 48 hours prior to the first surgery..... so... didn’t get to have the augmentation.....But, Dr. D. explained why HE wouldn’t do the implants while I had a pimple under my arm. I paid cash for my procedure and could have, presumably, found anyone to do what I wanted. But, Dr. D. would say “this is what I would do”.... that made it personal. Basically, I want everyone that pokes, prods and cuts on me to be “personal”. ????

I came to Dr. Diedrich with specific concerns - he listened to me and gave me a realistic version of what to expect both short and long term. Meaning - he heard what I wanted but wasn't going to promise me something that wasn't achievable. Fast forward to surgery (excellent facility and staff there as well) he spent a good deal of time making sure he had it perfect pre op. At the follow up the next day I could already see he gave me what I wanted and went beyond expectations. As I continue to heal I know I made the right decision - and couldn't be happier with my results. I think we psych ourselves out worrying about "will it turn out ok" "recovery is going to be terrible" but I can say I didn't have any of those issues. I had a drainless extended tummy tuck with Dr Diederich in Feb and have had the best results. I went back to work in 11 days. The pain to me was minimal after the first 3 days. He is a very nice man that answers any questions you have. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable talking to him at all. His office staff are very nice and informative they will answer any questions that you have. I am planning on having more work done and will be going back to him. If you are on the fence about what plastic surgeon to go to I would definitely have a consult with him before making your final decision. I’m glad I did. I came in for botox in October of 2018. The staff was really nice and welcoming. I got botox on my frown lines in between my eye brows. Unfortunately it wasn’t what I had expected. I still have pretty bad lines and went back to get a touch up but I would have had to pay almost $100 dollars more for it. I thought I would look so good after getting botox but sadly I didn’t see much of a difference.

Let me tell you about MidAmerica plastic surgery and Spa. EVERY time I have visited I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience. The staff will greet you like they’ve known you forever. Dr. Diedrich is a highly qualified and educated doctor. He will answer any and all questions you have and ease your mind if you are nervous about a procedure. I had a whole list of questions and Dr. went through every single one and encouraged me to ask all of my questions. He did not rush me through them or seem annoyed or bothered. He was happy I brought questions to the table and did research before each procedure. The staff, KATIE mostly because I’ve only really dealt with her in my cases, is AMAZING. (All the other staff is super nice too!????) I was able to reach out to her at ANY time during the day or even when she was not at work with questions and concerns or just because I was being over dramatic about something and needed a quick “that is totally normal but let me know if you have any other questions” text and never once felt like I was a bother or annoying. It’s super important to me to know that any time I have the tiniest question I can just reach out to her and breathe a sigh of relief and not feel crazy for having concerns and questions. Worth every penny. You’re not only paying for the procedure but for the atmosphere and it’s worth it here! This is the only place I will go to now! I recently went to the Spa side and had my lips done and Taylor was amazing! She was super sweet and nice and made me feel super comfortable and knew exactly what I wanted. Honestly everyone there is so wonderful. Before and after surgery. They really seem to care about their patients and take the time to make sure you are comfortable. I am so happy that I went with them. Allison and Katie were outstanding. I had a lot of questions (A LOT) and they always took the time to answer me and never once made me feel like I was a burden. The staff really plays such a big role in making a business great and Dr. Diederich has chosen some wonderful people. Dr. Diederich is down to earth and so friendly. He does excellent work!! I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks again to everyone there.

My daughter and I both got skin checks in May 2021. Laura was amazing! She made us both so comfortable. And when my daughter needed a mole removed, she really kept her calm. Dr Diederich and his staff are amazing. They’ve all been very responsive and caring. Dr Diederich was down to earth, he gave me realistic expectations for my arm lift that I have wanted for many years. I am ecstatic with the results and felt he cares about the end result as much as I do. He also performed a revision of a breast lift I had 13 years ago. The results of the lift exceeded my expectations, he did beautiful work. All staff made me me feel very comfortable with being there and with the care I received. I trust Dr Diederich and will 100% use him for any of my future needs, as well as recommend him to everyone who is interested.

I am just over 6 weeks post op from my breast reduction/lift done by Dr. Diederich. To say that I am pleased and grateful is an understatement. I started my journey last year when I was still breastfeeding and Dr. Diederich still chose to see me even though we weren't even close to an operation opportunity. He gave me so much information and left me feeling very positive that I'd be approved for a future procedure. With his help and determination, thats exactly what happened. He is extremely helpful, polite and honestly empowering. I didn't once feel ashamed of my body during any of the appointments. My reduction wasn't a cookie cutter procedure like they typically are. Despite the obstacles, he did amazing work and I am very happy with the results so far. If you're looking for a surgeon who will support you and want the best for YOU, I would recommend Dr. Diederich over and over.

I had a small, benign mole removed from my face with Dr. Diederich's NP. The office and staff were all very nice and the removal went fine--the scar is a little more prominent than I thought it would be given the small size of the mole but it might change/flatten over time making it less noticeable. I can honestly say I would have given them a great review prior to receiving the bills for this procedure. I was told during my 3 minute consultation with the NP where she looked at my face that there were really no concerns for malignancy/cancer and that the procedure would be easy-peesy. How much did that cost? $140. I assumed the consultation was free or at least part of the "surgery" cost considering they literally did nothing but tell me yes or no that they could perform the mole removal. Next, I had the actual procedure--a 10 minute SIMPLE ordeal to cut the mole off and put in 3-4 sutures. Price: $770. $400 to cut the <0.5 cm mole off (somehow their records show the mole was 0.9cm--hmmm) and $370 to put in the sutures. Again, 10 minutes of care. Next up was the pathology charge--$400 to have the obviously benign mole checked for cancer. Awesome! I called other similar sized offices/health care networks to see prices for pathology alone: $180-250. In the past I've never paid over $250 for the pathology--and given this is a mole that was expected to be benign, I'm confused at why such a high level of pathology was chosen. I have to wonder if the office over-dramatizes the severity of their cases so that they can charge for higher levels of care than actually provided and/or needed. I would recommend looking into a dermatology/plastics group across the river before going here unless you feel like being charged over $1300 for less than 15 minutes of actual care.

Dr. Diederich is PHENOMENAL. Him and his staff truly care about how I feel in my own skin. After massive weight loss, I was left with a lot of loose skin. I searched for a plastic surgeon and met with one prior to going to Midamerica. I am so grateful I chose them over the first place I went to. I had my brachioplasty done a month ago and am amazed by my results. I cannot thank Dr. Diederich and Katie enough for their compassion and excellence. I will definitely be coming back for the rest of my reconstruction procedures that I need!!
