DO NOT GO SEE DR LACEY. I had hand surgery (medical reasons) a year ago and it is now worse than ever. I went back to see him recently to talk about my continued issues with my hand, and he didn’t even read my file before I came in, and had no idea he had injected me with cortisone multiple times before the surgery- which he told me he shouldn't have actually done. He then scolded me for waiting so long to get my surgery, when he was in fact the one that put me on a 2 year waiting list, even though I called every couple of months to say how much pain I was in. I drove an hour for this appt. in rush hour, and he told me I was taking too much of his time- he was 25 min late and this was only 10 min into the apt!!), and even answered a personal phone call while I was in his office. Completely disgusted and disappointed and will be looking for a new specialist.

I went to Kanata Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery for a consultation with Dr. MacArthur for potential hand surgery. I was relieved to find out no surgery was needed at all. My consult with Dr. MacArthur was on a 3:30 appointment on a Friday. It felt as though my appointment was an inconvince. It felt as though I was being rushed out of the office as quickly as I could so that the weekend could begin. I found my consult impersonal and lucklustre complete with being cut off 2 peices of tape left on the table to put my own cast wrappings back on. In light of this I will not be coming back to this office in the future. I will say this. This office has a beautiful building, nice location and modern design. I would however, not recommend this office for others looking for hand surgery. I cannot comment on the plastic surgery side.

I opted to pay to have the procedure done in his office (he has a beautiful surgical suite upstairs) instead of waiting months to have it done in the hospital. I visit Kanata Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery for injectable services and I must say that I am very happy I found this place. The Clinic itself has a very cozy and welcoming feeling, the initial interaction with the telephone staff as well as their front desk was very friendly, they showed a great deal of patience while answering all my initial questions and what I really valued is that they offered a no charge consultation which in turns made the process a great experience. The Nurse Injector was a delight, personable and very insightful, her recommendations were on point and considerate. I highly recommend this place if you like to feel like you are among people that value their work and make you feel appreciated.

I had gynecomastia surgery performed by Dr MacArthur. The entire staff at Kanata plastic and cosmetic surgery was incredibly helpful. I called them with questions at least 20 times and each time I phone they were all extremely helpful and wanting to answer all my questions. Dr MacArthur went through the procedure with me and explained the results that I should expect, I felt very safe in his care and trusted everything he said to me. I got to the hospital around 9am and everyone there made me feel safe, as soon as I saw Dr MacArthur I knew I was ready and all my anxiety went away. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for cosmetic or or any surgery that Dr MacArthur performs. Having a tummy tuck was one of the biggest decisions I have made. I wanted to "deal" with the loose skin on my stomach that my children left behind but I was nervous to undertake such a large procedure. Meeting Dr Lacey and his team at Kanata Plastic Surgery helped me decide that I wanted to go ahead with the surgery. All the way through the process I felt listened to and reassured that I was fully informed and prepared. I did end of up with a complication but again I felt like I understood what was happening and I knew that I was in the best hands to deal with it and heal. I absolutely love my results and looking back I know that I made the right decision.

Needed diastases repair. Price was the same regardless if I had lipo and removed skin so I had some fat and skin removed too. I weighed 130, 5’4. After abdominoplasty, scar line was crooked with bulges, so I went back for touch-up and was asked to pay for it. Despite second procedure (+$), scar is still a crooked “w” line which shows when wearing bikini - very disappointing for $11k+. I guess the surgery marker wasn’t used before first cut ???? Lessons of vanity.

I don't want to get into details of my surgery but this message is for someone who is on the fence especially if you're later in your years like me. There is no better place to have a plastic surgery in Ottawa. None. This was my second surgery. The first was at a public hospital and Ill never do that again or recommend anyone doing that who wants privacy! Dr. Lacey and his team feel like afamily. By far the best service and most professional in the Ottawa area! I visit regularly for Dysport (Botox) and filler, and the occasional peel. There is never any pressure to do more than you are comfortable with. At this clinic, patients/customer service comes first. The location is beautiful (in a beautifully redone stone building) with a professional and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are wonderful and ensure that you are comfortable from the time you checkin, have your treatments and checkout. Pricing is very competitive and service is top notch. I would highly recommend this clinic to anybody considering cosmetic surgery or treatments. I am certain that Dr Lacey and his team will exceed your expectations. They certainly have exceeded mine. Aside from my cosmetic treatment experience at this clinic, my husband at the pleasure of being stitched up by Dr. Lacey. Dr. Lacey’s bedside manner is fabulous. He is an ultimate professional and extremely knowledgable in his field. I would highly recommend Dr. Lacey.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr MacArthur and the team at Kanata Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery. For the last 1.5 years I have had a cyst under my eye that gets infected every 4 months. The infection can get so bad that the bridge of my nose swells and my eye nearly swells shut. It also gets so painful that it hurts to use my facial muscles at all, including to talk or eat. I had seen multiple plastic surgeons in hopes of having it removed, each of them refusing to touch it and saying they couldn't remove it until 6 months post-infection (even though I couldn't last this long without a flare up). Anyways, my wedding was 2 weeks away and it got infected again. After meeting Dr MacArthur in the emergency department at the Almonte Hospital, he prescribed antibiotics and agreed to see me again if they didn't help. I called him a few days later to see if he could have a look at it again and he booked me at the end of his day to take a look. My wedding was 8 days away and I looked TERRIBLE. After having a quick look he agreed to get the operating room cleaned up to remove it right then and there -- on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The procedure went so smoothly, and he even booked me in on the following Monday to make sure it was healing okay -- which it did. The next day I immediately felt so much relief from the pain. One week after the procedure (and a wee bit of make-up) and it looked like nothing was ever there. Now a few weeks later and it is looking better by the day.

Dr Lacey is a true professional and an excellent surgeon. My experience with Dr Lacey started after I had an accident leaving me with a gaping infected hole in my shin. Somehow Dr Lacey was able to clean and close the large hole with very little tissue to work with. Incredible! I believe that many surgeons would not have been able to accomplish this. His bedside manner is fantastic. He is clear and methodical. I recommend Dr Lacey!

This clinic is exactly why women end up with too much cosmetic work. Part of their consultation requires them to try and up sell you on additional work that you absolutely do not need, yet they will make you feel like you do (which in my opinion, is their attempt to take advantage of insecure women). By the end of your consultation, you will be told you need lip injections, cheek fillers, and Botox in various areas. This clinic is also not about the “most natural” look and will try and tell you that you need more than you do. It was a really disheartening experience that made me feel shameful for feeling like I needed anything done in the first place (I am young, and wanted to be pro-active in a small area that I know over time will get worse if not treated).

I am really pleased with my results and enjoyed my experience. Not only is Dr Lacey very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable, but he is very attentive to detail and excellent at his work. I had minor surgery and was able to go back to work the very next day (working remotely) and able to go back to work in the office after 10 days. I had excellent care throughout, the anesthesiologist did a great job, Dr Lacey's work left me with little bruising, the recovery nurse was very knowledgeable, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. This was my second surgery with Dr Lacey and I highly recommend him.
