I met with dr Lockwood in 2014 for a breast argumentation. Not knowing anything he was so supported and explained everything every step of the way. Due to weight loss after my augumentation. I had to undergo surgery once again. He kindly waved all fees for the surgery! The aftercare and support was amazing ❤️

I went to first glance looking for a refresh. Being a new mom we all know that aging can happen quicker than we like. Lindsey helped me look like I have gotten a full years sleep! We went with under eye filler, botox around the eyes and forehead and a half syringe in my lips. She did an amazing job and made me feel so comfortable. I am beyond happy with my results, if you have been considering just the under eye filler I highly recommend first glance.

I try not to make bad reviews, but the treatment room I was in did not appear to have been cleaned properly (I was there to have a couple moles removed from my back). Used equipment / tools and soiled wipes were on the counter. Also, the protective glasses they gave me to wear were smudged and appeared dirty. A comment was also made by staff that caused me to wonder if they were completing regular maintenance on their laser. My back seems to be healing ok, but I suggest caution.

So so happy! Honestly I was very nervous about getting my lips done, I have naturally fuller lips but was always self conscious about how uneven they were to the point of never getting in photographs. I went to see Dana, she imperially understood what I wanted. When my appointment came up I was incredibly nervous and worried I hadn’t explained well enough what I wanted. She talk me through the whole thing an reassured me at each step what she was doing to help with correcting the symmetry. Although she had told me during the consult that she couldn’t guarantee completely correcting the issues, she exceeded my expectations. I can’t say enough how wonderful, kind, reassuring and knowledgeable she was. I am so happy and confident in my results. Dr Islur was my second consultation, and I am really happy I chose his practice. My first consultation went well but had I gone with them, my breast augmentation would have been horrifying. When I went to Dr Islur and told him the size I wanted, he kindly guided me to downsize and backed himself up with valid reasons. I accepted his advice and went with the size he recommended and now that the surgery is complete, I am really happy I did! Had I gone with the size I discussed with the prior surgeon I would have been incredibly overdone. I have a very personal connection with the First Glance, and it goes back to what feels like a decade. Though I don’t openly advertise my insecurities, I feel it’s important to share my experience. At a young age I was riddled with a virus that left me with permanent facial palsy. After corrective surgeries to get function back - the Aesthetics were not a top priority and rightfully so. I nervously called the first glance and first met with Amanda. We tried minimal Botox/ filler as I remained terrified it would trigger similar sensations. Over time and over the years I’ve met your surgeons from all over . One guest doctor went as far as to present my case to a team in Toronto in an effort to optimize my results. I couldn’t believe it! I then met Twyla who took the time in a trial and error process to help reanimate the aspects affected by palsy. I can’t count the times I have cried in front of your team because I was SO incredibly grateful for the time, care and compassion you have graciously given me over the years. As Twyla moved on to pursue her dreams, i had been introduced to Lindsay. This isn’t a business transaction, this is a support system - they become your friends. With such little effort, you give me back my confidence in the most conservative way. I’ve also had great experiences in the recent years with Dr. Mitchell and Dr Patel. While our paths have crossed for very different reasons from above- The sentiment remains 100% the same. This is the most caring group of doctors, nurses, injectors and front of house staff I’ve ever come across. Thank you for everything you do, and for making it so painless and effortless.

When I first went to First Glance, I asked the nurse to "inject me with enough Botox to paralyze a horse." Despite my request, they put in just the right amount for a natural look. I loved it! I also get regular IPL treatments to manage my rosacea. The results were noticeable after one treatment. Despite our move to Alberta, I continue to return to First Glance whenever I am in Winnipeg. Although I have had IPL treatments elsewhere, they were either underwhelming and/or they singed my hairline (more than a few times). First Glance is also the only aesthetic clinic which uses the handheld laser to treat the capillaries just below the skin surface, which contributes to redness. This treatment is included in the IPL treatments (I have paid over $100 for that treatment alone). Simply put, First Glance Aesthetic Clinic offers the best service at the best price. I look forward to continuing to allow First Glance help me to age like Joan Rivers.

4 months ago I came in for my first consultation and Botox procedure to lessen the appearance of a deep line in the middle of my eye brows as well relax one eyebrow that sat a bit higher than the other. I was more than happy with the results, the line is significantly smaller in appearance and my eyebrows are symmetrical. The results are just what I wanted.

I highly recommend going to First Glance clinic for your beauty needs. Since I now live in Edmonton, I had been going to see a Doctor located there. When I was back visiting in Winnipeg, I went to First Glance and had Twyla do my Botox. Twyla did a way better job than the service I had been getting in Edmonton. She took the time to consult with me and work within my budget, whereas the Doctor I had seen in Edmonton had been a very rushed experience and didn't address certain concerns I had. I had an absolutely incredible experience getting tattoo removal here. I was really worried about the pain and just super nervous for the appointment overall but the lady who did my treatment was so calm and patient with me. To anyone in Winnipeg who is looking for tattoo removal, GO HERE. I did consultations at multiple places and this clinic is so calming and the staff are absolutely amazing. The cost was less than other places too despite the laser being a newer and better type of laser, and way faster. I highly recommend it!

Two things you could do better. When leaving a phone msg leave a number where you can be reached. When the person is waiting in the back to pick up the patient offer them some water or something. For the money being spent I think it's a small thing. Also as the person taking care of the patient it would have nice to be told all the do's and don'ts for her care. I should add, the surgeon and his team do know what their doing. Wife is very happy with his work.

There are honestly not enough wonderful things to say about Dr. Lockwood and the ladies at The First Glance. From the first day I came in for my initial consult I have received the best, most friendly and warm care. Karen was so well informed and was able to answer all my questions all the while making me feel relaxed and comfortable. The morning I came in for my surgery, Dr. Lockwood just happened to be walking through the front and called me by name and came up and gave me a big hug and reassured my husband that he would take good care of me. He was there when the anesthesiologist put me to sleep, holding my hand and telling me all was good. My nurse Lisa was there from the moment I came in, through recovery and even walked me to my truck after. The one on one personal care is bar none. Thank you sooooo much!

I had under eye fillers done by Lindsay and i am SO happy with the results so far. I’m only 23 but I have hereditary under eye circles and due to probably stress levels and sleeping habits, they went from manageable a year ago, to the point where no matter how much sleep i got and how much concealer i put on, i just looked exhausted every day. The concealer was almost even starting to make it look worse because it just looked like cakey dark circles instead of dark circles lol. I had one syringe/one treatment done today and the results are significant - i can’t stop looking in the mirror - i look much more like my age and much less mean/scary looking! It was recommended that I do one more treatment within 1-3 months to achieve best possible results and then hopefully be good for up to 2 years before another treatment is needed. The pain level was probably a 3/10, i’m able to continue exercising after 48 hours, and wear makeup after 12 - i don’t feel any swelling currently and bruising is minimal as there is only one injection site but it has only been a few hours. (edit on bruising: i have a small circle maybe 1cm long on each cheek at injection site. just looks like a blemish) I also had lip injections done 8 ish months ago by Lindsay and the results were very natural and are still looking nice today. Lindsay was great, made me feel very comfortable, took the time to explain any questions and seemed passionate about what she does.

It's been about 2-3 weeks since I've had my 4th and final Fractora treatment and I must say, I'm very pleased with the results. I'm a young adult who has struggled with acne for years and this is by far the most effective treatment I've ever tried. Most of, if not all of my scarring is gone or barely visible and I have had only a couple new acne spots show up. Which, considering how often I've had breakouts in the past, is amazing. I'm more than happy and would recommend this treatment to anyone that has been struggling with acne for a long time. I would also like to add that the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I recently had a breast augmentation at First Glance with Dr.Lockwood. He was extremely informative and super wonderful to have had as a surgeon. The staff was extremely nice and made sure I had everything I needed before and after surgery. Very unethical “cash grab” type of operation. I called to make a consultation appointment and was very clear about my skin type and what service I was looking for - they assured me they do this “all the time” and were eager to take my visa number for a paid consultation. At my consult, the tech immediately told me that they sold the machine that I need and so they can’t do anything for me and referred me to the 3 star sister clinic they sold the machine to. Save your time and money and go somewhere that isn’t a product pushing cash grab!

Recently I had got a breast augmentation and I was blown away by the results. Dr. Lockwood was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, he relaxed me so much and made sure I was picking the right size. I was so nervous at first but he reassured me and held my hand as I went under anesthetic because I was so nervous. His team was so helpful and took great care of me in the recovery room. I’m so happy with the results and would definitely recommend him! I also get my lips done here and the results are amazing they look natural and full, I’m always getting compliments on where I get my lips done. The price is definitely reasonable and the clinic itself is gorgeous.

Had an appointment for cosmetic surgery. Fortunately I have found a better facility that is looking forward to better assisting me. . Go elsewhere that are alot more compassionate and is willing to answer the questions regarding your surgery. Had to email the blonde lady serveral times askin questions concerning my surgery and each time she wrote back. She sounded more rude and gave the impression like ' we make enough money here we dnt need ur business here'. She needs to stop putting fillers in her face so she can give me a real expression. Not a fake bimbo barbie look. The staff where rude and condescending and I am happy to go elsewhere where my business is welcomed and appreciated. I will not be coming back to your facility. After my second baby, it was obvious my varicose veins were not going away. My leg ached every day. I went to a different clinic where they diagnosed my problem as GSV incompetence. The only treatment was a 5 year wait for vascular surgery. Then I heard about First Glance. I got an appointment with Dana the day after I called them. The ultrasound she did right in her office showed that my GSV was working normally; it was other veins giving the problem. 2 weeks later i had my first sclerotherapy treatment. After 3 treatments, I could quit wearing my support stockings! Now I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I wear stockings as a preventative, and my legs don't ache!!! Those treatments were worth every penny, and I'd recommend First Glance to anyone! I had been told not to have more children, but the treatments have made it possible! I had been contemplating injectables for quite some time, and I finally decided to go for it. I had a consultation with the lovely Nurse Twyla about the concerns I had, and she explained to me what she believed would be the best course of action to correct what bothered me about the lines on my face. She expressed a lot of confidence that I would be happy with the results. Her assurance and positive attitude made me feel confident to put my faith and face in her hands. After that, I booked an appointment to have the procedure done, and I am more than glad that I did! I was a bit nervous, as it was my first time ever having something like this done, but she explained to me in full detail all the steps she would be taking, and prepared me for what I may feel during and after the procedure. It turned out that the discomfort during the procedure was minimal; She is so good at injecting, that I didn't even flinch. The best part of this experience has been the results.. I'm so happy when I look in the mirror or see pictures of myself now! Instead of examining all the things I didn't like about the appearance of my face, I now look at myself with joy! I am amazed and thrilled to feel this way about myself. I look ten years younger, in a very natural and rejuvenated way. The results of this procedure has far exceeded my expectations! I accompanied my wife to a vein appointment here for the first time and while waiting I witnessed a staff member speaking almost yelling rudely to at least two other staff. When my wife finished her appointment she expressed concerns with how her nurse dana treated her assistant and how she feels poorly for them. It turns out this is the same nurse I saw being rude. My wife tells me that she has witnessed this many times durinag her sessions and finds it very uncomfortable. The assistants are always sweet and helpful but are always talked down too and made to feel useless. My wife has returned because she is happy with the results of her treatments but after what I witnessed with her we will not be going back.

I had an absolutely incredible experience getting tattoo removal here. I was really worried about the pain and just super nervous for the appointment overall but the lady who did my treatment was so calm and patient with me. To anyone in Winnipeg who is looking for tattoo removal, GO HERE. I did consultations at multiple places and this clinic is so calming and the staff are absolutely amazing. I so wanted to get an consultation for selective surgery, but unfortunately the establishment is requiring a PCR Covid test prior to surgery. Just cannot put myself in that position when I do not scientifically believe that the test is accurate. I am at know means putting down anyone's character that works for First Glance, but administration needs to let potential clients know about having to take this evasive test if they decide to go through with selective surgery. Consultations cost $100.00. I so happen had to ask the receptionist if there was any protocol they were following with regards to Covid and if I hadn't asked her , I would have found out after the fact of paying out the $100.00 dollars. I am 56 years old and started suffering from the heaviness and pain of varicose veins since I was 20. I am a normal weight and inherited this condition from my Mom and Grandfather. I had vein stripping when I was 21 at the HSC but by 23 - I needed further treatment resulting in scarring and very painful procedures requiring considerable down time. I am so impressed with Amanda and the entire staff at First Glance! THANKS! While home Botox parties is a thing, I am not allowing just anyone to inject anything into me. Amanda is an educated and experienced medical professional who is an artist with Botox and filler. I appreciate so much that she recommends only what I need and doesn't take advantage of the fact that I could easily be convinced to get thousands of dollars’ worth of treatments. I am afraid of needles and she has the timing, touch, and notice of “ouch” perfected! I can’t say it doesn’t hurt a little bit, but she provides a stress ball to squeeze and makes it as painless as possible. My first experience with Botox was at another facility in Winnipeg; I was nervous and thought I needed a doctor to inject me. I was in my early thirties and starting to feel insecure about aging and that Doctor made me feel horrifically wrinkled and pumped me full of too much product. I left there having paid a giant invoice, feeling worse about myself and lacked expression for almost a year. Amanda is kind and encouraging and I always leave her feeling great about myself and the treatments I received. I can't recommend First Glance enough.

I have varicose veins that are bulging, blue and ache. I have been to two other treatment clinics in Winnipeg and have been bitterly disappointed. I went to First Glance and Dana treated my veins with efficiency, skill and positive results. First Glance and Dana was the only facility that used an ultrasound machine to make sure that the vein was penetrated with the solution. The treatment of varicose veins is considered cosmetic which in my opinion is ridiculous. But if Manitobans have to spend money on this I highly and only recommend Dana at First Glance. She is high energy, encouraging, and tells you what to realistically expect. I have found the staff as a whole welcoming, friendly and positive. However, the most significant consideration for me is the results I have with the treatments. This is the first review I have ever posted because I feel so strongly about this.

Have seen Jennifer a few times now and she is amazing! I've received botox and juvderm in Vancouver previously with nice results but I'm astounded by the results I've acheived at this clinic. Jennifer listened to my concerns, stayed within my budget, and I didn't feel pressured. I like a natural result and people have been complimentary me saying I look brighter. When I had difficulty finding an appointment time that worked with my busy schedule for my next treatment she said she would not be offended if I saw another injector at the clinic if it worked better for me and that she'd speak to them personally about our plan! In the end I'll be sticking with Jennifer but everyone at the clinic seemed so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

I decided to get my BA done at First Glance because Dr Islar is rated number 1 and that means alot to me. My consultation with Karen was fantastic, she was full of knowledge and reassurance. Then I met Dr Islar, he answered all my questions before I could ask then. My pre op with Karen was great and and left knowing I had made the best decision. My normal breast are asymmetrical and Dr Islar assured me this would be repaired with one breast having more cc than the other. After surgery I felt 100%, I healed quick and can do everything again. That's when my experience sort of went sour. My breast are still asymmetrical, very noticeable too. I have to wear a bra or you can tell through a shirt. At a check up he noticed right away and said he could fix it but it would be another 2000$. I just spent 9k, I cant justify another 2. All 4 of my check up appointments after surgery I waited atleast 45 minutes to see Dr Islar. I know he is busy but we all pay alot of money to see him as well. At the moment, I will not be have another procedure to fix the asymmetry unless I find a pot of gold. The staff ARE fantastic, the clinic is very clean, my surgery (1st time being under) went without any issues. Unfortunately this little detail that is a big deal is still an issue.

I went in for a consult. Doctor was fine but the thin blond general manager was extremely rude,snobby and enough for my gf and I to choose a place out of province. She spoke to the other office ladies in the side office about us, with the door open. She made us feel very unwelcome, she had an attitude of " we make enough money here, we really dont need your business". She seemed frustrated that we had our babies as well. Its ok, They are more then happy to help us in BC to do our mommy make overs there.

Recently I came in for a lip filler consultation. The lady whom I spoke to was very nice and super informative. All my questions were answered! On top of that, I wanted to get started on the procedure ASAP. Even though I would've had to book another appointment to have it done, she instantly made time for me following the consult to have them done! She did do it herself, it barely hurt (4/10), and so far they look amazing! I can't wait to see the full results in a week or so. I'm not 100% sure what her name was???? I already forgot... I think it was Twyla (pretty, short, blonde lady). Amazing service!! I'll definitley be coming here from now on!!
