Had restylane filler for cheeks done here, only one ml. A week later had a massive lump out of nowhere appear on the right upper cheek, which persisted for a good two or three weeks. I never get cystic acne or anything like that so it was highly unusual and I’m sure it was caused by the injection. That same side of my face now appears to have some vascular issues. So my two cents is beware, this clinic gives illusion of high skill and professionalism but in reality they are mediocre at best.

She made my year by offering the best appointment I have received to date. Knowledgeable, attentive, kind and a true expert in her field, she understood and solved the issues pertaining to my sunken tired looking facial features due to over exercise and dieting. Had rhinoplasty done by Dr. Buonassisi back in 2012, was not happy with the result, he refused to do my nose again, my nostril was uneven and the bridge is too wide. He did my alar twice because still too wide. All he did is work on my tip the end result it’s Not what I expected. I am Asian I needed to narrow my bridge, tiplasty and alarplasty. I finally had it fix by other surgeon and I am very happy with the result and less money. Dr. Buonassisi is a caring surgeon and staff are helpful, but I paid a lot of money but did not get the result I want.

I have been going here for about 4 years now and in that time I had an eye lift (hooded eyes were really bad the skin hung over my eye) my eye lift is so dramatic I had no idea my eyes would be this bright and happy looking (my hooded eyes made me look like I was scowling all the time) It was one of the best things I have done for myself! I had the Halo skin laser about 2 years ago and it was very effective in improving my thin english skin and clearing it up. All staff I have encountered are very professional with manner and procedures. Highly recommend them!

I came to 8 West over the summer to receive lip injections and cheek filler and could not be happier with my results. I especially love my new lips, they look natural and have given me a much-needed boost to my overall appearance. The cheek filler also looks very natural, and has effectively corrected my under-eye hollows and the mid-face volume loss that I was experiencing. I was nervous going in, as it was my first time using fillers, but Lisa made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my questions--of which I had many! The part that I liked the most is that I didn't pay for 1 single syringe of one type of filler, instead it was a fixed price in which 3 different types of filler were used in various parts of my lips in order to get the most ideal result! So worth it! I was also invited back for 2 complimentary follow-ups to correct a minor issue I was seeing. So it's a really great price for what you receive, in my opinion. I got lip fillers done here and my experience was really poor. I had scheduled a consultation with the option to get the fillers done but the staff entered my appointment time in wrong so when I got there they told me it wasn’t for another 2 hours, so I had to putter around as I had driven down from New West. When it was time for my consultation I had questions (it was my first lip filler at the time) and the nurse seemed annoyed with me and was condescending in her responses. At the end when I decided to do the fillers she told me there was no time as it was just a consultation. I mentioned that I was told I had the option to get it done after the consultation and was met with so much hostility, although she eventually agreed to do the procedure. As I was rushed I wasn’t numb at all as the cream was left for 5 mins or so. It was incredibly painful and when tears started coming down my face (I didn’t cause any fuss/say anything) the nurse seemed more annoyed with me. At the end I looked at my lips and they were both the same size, but plumper. I had asked for my lower lip to be a bit bigger as it looks more natural. When I mentioned this the nurse just said they looked fine and took her gloves off. When I was leaving I wasn’t told any after care, given ice, told what to expect or anything. I had to google it all. The filler itself (Restalyne Kiss) was rock hard in my lips too and I was covered in tiny hard lumps that I could feel for months. Since then I’ve gotten my lips done elsewhere and had a way better experience, and was given Juvaderm which didn’t make my lips hard at all. I didn’t cry during other appointments as they left the freezing on for an appropriate amount of time. I would not recommend 8 West Clinic for lip fillers.

8 West was offering a package of one Halo treatment and three BBL treatments. I decided to go ahead after the skin on my face was computer analyzed and I was found to be in the first percentile for pigmentation for my age. I already had visible freckles, uneven skin tone and redness, and after being shown the pigmentation on my face that wasn't yet visible to the naked eye, I thought it was time to do something about it. Easa did all four treatments. She is wonderful - she thoroughly explained what was going to happen and why, what to expect, and gave me small breaks throughout. She also followed up regularly after each treatment and emailed me a detailed aftercare regime that she put together to treat my specific skin concerns. The worst part of the Halo treatment was the sunburned feeling afterwards. Easa gave me a spray and I used it constantly while I was driving home. If I could do it differently, I would get a ride home so I didn't have to concentrate on driving and spraying at the same time. I stayed on the couch with a cold wet cloth on my face for the rest of the day. The pain had receded by day two but my face was still too red to go out. Try to schedule this so you don't have to work the next day. The BBL treatments sting a bit at the time but there's no pain afterwards. My face appeared blotchy as the pigmentation came up but a bit of mineral makeup covered it. By the third treatment I didn't even need to use the makeup. I noticed improvements over the weeks of the treatments and now my face is glowing. I have some stubborn redness left on either side of my nose and may do one more spot treatment to target just that area. Otherwise the difference is remarkable. I highly recommend these treatments and Easa in particular!

This clinic is very professionally run and the services are top notch. I first saw Suzanne Power to discuss my anti-aging options. I chose microneedling which requires three treatments. I had my first session at the end of March. The numbing topical was applied by Kaitlyn and Suzanne did the procedure. It hurt a bit but was manageable. The aftercare instructions were very clear and I was provided with samples to use in the healing process. I was pleasantly surprised that my skin recovered so fast - by the third day it was fine, just a bit of dryness. I made sure to use lots of sunscreen and wear a hat during the first week. I look forward to subsequent sessions. I highly recommend the clinic. During the second treatment, Suzanne was able to go deeper and interestingly, I had less peeling than the first time. The full benefits appear at about 3 months after more collagen is generated but my skin has brightened a lot within a much shorter time. What has been difficult is to avoid the sun so I recommend doing this in the fall/winter.

I could not be more complimentary, and appreciative, of the entire staff at 8WEST. My entire experience has been absolutely incredible. My first treatment at the clinic was the removal of a few facial moles. Dr. Buonassisi removed them for me, and my results were exceedingly fantastic. Following the success of this procedure, I decided to get laser hair removal done with 8WEST. I’m so thrilled with Easa’s amazing service, and her calm and humorous nature. My hair growth has significantly reduced in all areas, and I’m so excited to continue to see results with treatment. After much contemplation, I finally decided to get Rhinoplasty done with Dr. Buonassisi. Dr. B’s expertise is unmatched, and I felt more than confident that he was the only doctor I wanted to see for this procedure. His bedside manner is excellent, and he ensures that you know both the potential risks and positive outcomes that the surgery can bring. My surgery day was even better than I could have ever imagined. The nurses who looked after me were incredible at the surgery centre, and made me feel at ease prior to my surgery. Dr. B also visited me before I was due in the OR, and went over everything with me. My surgery went smoothly, and the day after Dr. B called me to check in. How nice is that? I’m still floored that he did that, it really shows how much he cares about his patients and profession. After a week of healing, I got my cast off with Alyssa, and my result is absolutely astounding! I was so ecstatic that I teared up a little bit when Dr. B came to check on my nose. I’m a transgender individual, and this was a huge part of my transition. Seeing that change was huge for me and my self confidence, and has really allowed me to step into my own. Sarah has coordinated everything for me at 8WEST, and she has been absolutely amazing and exceeding helpful and kind. I am so glad to have her in my corner, as well as everyone at the clinic. When I changed my name about 8 months after becoming a patient at 8WEST, everyone adjusted immediately and so kindly, which is more than I could expect from anyone. I’m proud to be a patient at 8WEST, and I’m so grateful to have been referred to this amazing establishment. The consultation was very informative and then the actual surgery couldn't have been better. Alyssa made the whole thing so chill, she was really calming and made sure I was comfortable (she even tucked me in a blanket, like who isn't comfortable after being tucked it!) Rude as hell customer service. The girl I spoke to wouldn’t let me ask any questions, kept constantly interrupting me and decided for me who the doctor doing my surgery and as gonna be. She told me a tip plasty was the same as a full nose job which it most certainly isn’t. I got quotes 9-14 grand which is ridiculous for such a minor procedure. Get it done somewhere else don’t waste your time heading to Vancouver if you don’t live there. There’s tons of information about rhinoplasties on his website which makes him seem really good but it’s jura advertising. Find someone else.

I have not had any procedures done with 8 West but while I was doing my research on the clinic and its staff I found something quite disturbing. I question how well they screen their staff before employment. I found that one of their aestheticians has a criminal history (charged) with fraud. Now what guarantees that our private information is safe? Are their clients at risk of having their identity stolen or their bank accounts hacked into? I find this absolutely ridiculous and i encourage anyone who has had anything done at this clinic to check their accounts to be safe. I can provide the links to what information I have found

Dr. Buonassisi is a very nice and caring doctor. However... a bit too conservative, so if you are NOT looking for a dramatic change, but a subtle, barely noticeable improvement - he's your guy. I have to say the staff members are nice to you pre-surgery. after you had your work done, they are just not as much interested in you, even booking a follow up was not as pleasant of an experience. I was told "we'll let you know" about my follow up appointment. That doesn't work, as it has to be convenient for my schedule as well. Overall, there are other excellent surgeons in YVR, he's great, but do your shopping and know exactly what you want.

I had no pain at all after the surgery, did not need any pain killers (I even have a very low pain tolerance). I am so happy with my results, and people who know me don't notice I had work done. I called 3 days before to cancel due to work and they refused to give me my refund or reschedule and thanked me for pointing out the “typo” on their website. They called me back because they allowed me to reschedule but every time I called I was told she was busy. I haven’t heard back from them at all. $157 is a lot for a surgical consult please use your money somewhere else.

I went in and received buccal fat removal with Dr. Buonassisi. It was easier than going to the dentist! 30 minute visit and such a beautiful subtle change. Service was great! From the moment I walked into their office at the front, to consult, surgery and post op. Dr. Buonassisi didn’t rush the consult process and was very calm and told me realistically what my results would be— very subtle. He went through the risks and benefits which I liked. Prepare your own questions as well. The staff who assisted me on my case megan, Noel and Caroline were so nice. They followed up pre op and post op and made sure I was healing properly. Even during the 30 minute surgery the girls were so helpful. Right after surgery I was able to see a subtle change. It was beautifully done. It was easier than going to the dentist. I dream of getting rhinoplasty from Dr. B one day (I'm saving up) and wanted to try lip fillers as a way to balance my face in the meantime. I knew I wanted 8 west for rhinoplasty, but I shopped around when it came to lip filler, seeing a few different injectors before I met with Lisa at 8 west. I instantly noticed Lisa's expertise and honesty, and now after a couple years of her doing my lip filler and botox, I recommend her for those exact reasons. She's an expert in her field and it shows. I felt like in the past, injectors didn't look much at my entire face and targeted one issue. Like if I wanted bigger lips, they just gave them to me, which ultimately caused issues like filler migration in or above my lips; if I wanted to relax my forehead a little, they'd freeze one little area, but that would end up making other parts of my face more expressive, resulting in some deeper wrinkles elsewhere. Because Lisa looks at the whole picture/your whole face and has so much experience, her style is realistic and informed. If you want absolute honesty and great results, see Lisa! My results are awesome yet natural enough that people don't know what I've had done, they just say "you look great!" I've even had "did you lose weight?" when um, no, quite the opposite during the pandemic. Recently, I also saw Sonya for skin. She was also great! Honest, helpful, and sweet. After years of reading magazines, seeing dermatologists, etc., I still learned new things about my skin from her within a short consult. I did a peel and lasers for acne rosacea and plan to do more skin maintenance stuff in the future! And I can't wait to finally see Dr. B for my nose one day ;)

I love Lisa the lady that did my Kybella treatment , which hurt like hell and was bloated for a good 4 weeks. However I did not like the fact that there’s no real follow up, it’s already been more then 8 weeks and I have not gotten a single call to see the progress , they charged me a total of $2100 for ONE treatment , which honestly that product is the same any where but because it’s 8 west , then the price is shot to the heavens . I later found other places that did the same for a lot less .8 west was my first time There and first time doing this procedure , would I recommend ? No , do not waste your money , do better research and don’t just go to a place cause it’s Vancouver .

I had breast augmentation surgery with dr Bovill. Dr Bovill was very professional from the first foot in door. She made me feel very confident and at ease with her level of knowledge. She took her time explaining everything and went over all my options. I left feeling like I will be in excellent hands. I was able to book my surgery within one month of the consultation! I saw another plastic surgeon prior to her, but I just felt way more comfortable with dr Bovill. I was in frequent contact via text and email with Mica from 8 West. She answered all my pre op questions in very timely fashion. I received emails a few weeks prior to surgery with everything you could ever want to know prior to this surgery! I made myself a nice binder to look through. It explained all the pre op and post op instructions. The day of surgery was at the very excellent Valley Surgery Center in Surrey. I cannot say enough about how professional they are and how comforting they made me feel. Post op follow up with dr Bovill was excellent as well within the same week as my surgery.
