Mommas Rule

Literally just left went for a breast reduction consultation. I spent more time getting my son in and out of the car then seeing Dr. Small. I was told that I would need to lose 50lbs before he would consider doing my surgery. He looked at my breast and said I would get the anchor incision and asked if I had any questions and left the room. Won’t be going back.

I met Dr. Small in 2017 and he performed liposuction and Dr. Holover also performed surgery on me same day , he put in a metal mesh the surgery was successful. In 2018 we got approved for the thigh plasty it wasn't what I expected because I developed opened wound on the left leg.Also I developed on right leg 2 blisters and on left small blisters very painful. Both ankle swollen purchase compression garment and it helped. Dr. Small prescribe antibiotics medication and its working effectively. Although its healing progressively but another month for wound to closed. I am focusing on healing. The right leg looks good however both legs have noticeable scars. Dr. Small has responded to me email very empathic and compassionate my wounds concerns. Just got to follow doctor's order. On December suffer on job injury student ran down the stairs punching in my back cause my sciatica to inflamed and back spasm as well my herniated disc painful reaction. and I do have witnesses . however 4 teachers went behind my back accusing me It all lies my principal and superintendent think its retaliation. I agreed. My principal has interviewed all staff members in the cafeteria and the incident on the staircase where my injury occurred I have witnesses. I have wait for OSI investigation to cleared me. I am retiring in 3 years and I don't want to lose my pension and health benefit. Right now my body going its healing process and waiting patiently to be cleared. The 4 staff members who lied I forgive them. Because my job is not about recognition but I care for all staff members and student I've working same job since I was 19 years old. Fortunately, I was a candidate for bariatric surgery. I lost 130 lbs over time but was struggling to get down to my goal weight and body shape due to a lot of excess skin on various parts of my body. I worked out, continued to eat healthy and had a personal trainer, I took cardio classes, My trainer told me no matter how hard I try, I will not be physically able to lose the weight due to the skin. BUT than a miracle: The skies opened, the sea parted and VIOLA – in walked Dr Kevin H. Small. Dr Small, Jennifer and staff have helped transform my body and mind. I have gained confidence I never had. He is a pioneer in his field and his innovative methods are light years ahead of other doctors. After surgery and recovery at the hospital, Dr Small makes it a point to visit each patient before his day starts and prior to going home for the evening. The home health nurses that visit are even more impressed with his “work” and his hands-on attitude. He is always easy to reach and never “ghosts” the medical staff or his patients. He will always be my favorite doctor.

I had a tummy tuck September 30th 2020 with doctor small. He is a great surgeon he is straight to the point recovery is tough. And you need to be prepared. Have help you will need it walk as much as you can it will be exhausting but do it. Use your breathing machinery they give you. Be on top of your pain with your pain meds. Where that compression garment 24/7 only off to shower. And compression socks. Be on top of your protein. drink the shakes even if your not hungry. And most important take stool softeners and miralax for constipation. I learned the hard way!!!!! I have been through a double mastectomy, bowel obstruction, 2 c-sections this is much worse. God bless you!!!
