I went it for a consult for a hair transplant and Dr Doumit tried to talk me into an unnecessary forehead surgery that I didn't want or ask for. He was very cold and the appointment was cut short. I felt uncomfortable and I would not trust him to operate on me or put my life in his hands.

I have wanted a Rhinoplasty for years (I’ve hated my nose since I was like 12 years old), and finding the right doc for me was very stressful because my nose was a very complex case (thick skin, bulbous & over-projected tip, deviated septum: the whole nine yards). I consulted many doctors before finding Dr.Doumit: I even consulted with doctors in Turkey because I started to think I could only get the results I dreamed of if I went abroad. After my first consultation with Dr. Doumit, I was sold. He is very professional, honest, and observant. He listened to all of my concerns, gave his expert opinion & set realistic expectations. He was very knowledgeable: he was the only doctor I consulted in Montreal that addressed & mentioned very specific issues/ technical details about my nose that were important to consider before the surgery. The surgery went well however, when I woke up I had very bad nausea for the first 12-15 hours. Around 10pm, my mom was really worried because I had been throwing up all day and so she gave Dr. Doumit a call. He answered right away and was there to listen and mitigate our concerns. This is a testament to the great care he offers his patients. I am only 1 week post-op; I removed my cast yesterday and I cannot believe the result. I am EXTREMELY picky and despite the fact that my nose is still quite swollen; I already LOVE it. It is even better than what I dreamed of!!!!!! My nose is beyond everything I imagined! I never thought I could have a nose like this EVEN with surgery. I am so thankful for Dr. Doumit and all his team. (His nurses are SOOOO sweet, kind and helpful as well). I recommend X100000! Dr. Doumit is truly an expert in his field and an incredible surgeon. Yes you can expect bruises the first three weeks and swelling. Even after 6 weeks my eyes are still a bit slanted. And scalp copper remains sensitive. I feel like numb. To feel it again, I can wait a year. It's weird when you want to scratch yourself. The healing has gone very well. But you need help for the first two to three weeks. My partner cleaned my scars thoroughly twice a day (polysporin / peroxide). It's still a major operation and you have to be mentally prepared. I made my decision after several years of thinking. By paying for very expensive injections which did little to help my situation and where I was still dissatisfied, $ 17,500 is okay to love yourself. It even comes back economical in the long term. However, it takes a lot of time and rigor (sleeping on your back, no alcohol, taking medication, prohibiting exercise, cold water compresses, etc.) to ensure a good recovery. I bought an orthopedic pillow (23 degrees) which really helped me sleep on my back. I still use it even though it is no longer needed. Better to sleep on your back to avoid wrinkles again! ???? My partner is impressed with the precision of the surgery. Ms. Doumit is sometimes expeditious but her talent / experience is undeniable. WoW! The day of surgery I was well taken care of. I would also like to thank Claudine who took good care of me and Louise who reassured me after the operation. “During the surgery, I was more or less conscious. I felt a pull but no pain. Thank you also to Audrey for her kindness and her advice the next day and the week after. However, it would be good to increase the time slot (weekends, evenings) for the laser and the IPL (gift). Last advice: if you take dilaudid, it constipates! I should have taken the constipation liquid on the first pill. My pharmacist suggested it to me but since I did not yet know my side effects, I waited. Fault! Anyway ... I wish I had had this advice before surgery so I took the time to write it up for you, anonymously. ???? Good recovery. And thank you again Dr Doumit and the whole team. This is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. (Original) Bonjour, j’ai subi un lifting du visage/cou, lifting des sourcils et injection de graisse. Au départ je voulais seulement enlever mes bajoues mais quand je suis allée rencontrer M. Doumit c’est lui qui m’a recommandé les trois interventions. Je suis vraiment heureuse aujourd’hui de lui avoir fait confiance sur toute la ligne.???? Moi je le vois que je suis rajeunie (mon chum dit 10 ans!) mais ce que j’aime c’est que personne ne m’a posé de question dans mon entourage. C’est resté naturelle. Je me sens tellement mieux maintenant. Oui il faut s’attendre à des bleues les trois premières semaines et un gonflement. Même après 6 semaines j’ai encore les yeux un peu bridés. Et le cuivre chevelu demeure sensible. Je me sens comme engourdie. Pour bien le sentir de nouveau, je peux attendre un an. C’est bizarre quand on veut se gratter. La guérison a très bien été. Mais il faut de l’aide les deux-trois premières semaines. Mon conjoint nettoyait minutieusement mes cicatrices deux fois par jour (polysporin/peroxyde). C’est tout de même une opération majeur et il faut être prêt mentalement. Moi j’ai pris ma décision après plusieurs années de réflexion. À force de payer des injections très dispendieuses qui arrangeaient très peu ma situation et où je demeurais insatisfaite, 17 500$ c’est bien correct pour s’aimer. Ça revient même économique sur le long terme. Il faut cependant mettre beaucoup de temps et de rigueur (dormir sur le dos, pas d’alcool, prise de médicaments, interdiction de s’entraîner, compresses d’eau froide, etc.) pour s’assurer d’une belle guérison. J’ai acheté un coussin orthopédique (23 degrés) qui m’a beaucoup aidé à dormir sur le dos. Je l’utilise encore même s’il n’est plus nécessaire. Il est mieux de dormir sur le dos pour éviter de nouveau les rides!???? Mon conjoint est impressionné par la précision de la chirurgie. M Doumit est parfois expéditif mais son talent/expérience est indéniable. WoW!???????? La journée de la chirurgie j’ai été bien prise en charge. Je remercie d’ailleurs Claudine qui a bien veillé sur moi et sur Louise qui m’a rassuré après l’opération. ???? Pendant la chirurgie, j’étais plus ou moins consciente. J’ai senti tirer mais aucune douleur. Merci également à Audrey pour sa douceur et ses conseils le lendemain et la semaine d’après. Il serait bien cependant d’augmenter la plage horaire (fin de semaine, soirs) pour le laser et le IPL (cadeau). Dernier conseil: si vous prenez du dilaudid, ça constipe! J’aurais dû prendre le liquide pour la constipation dès la première pilule. Ma pharmacienne me l’avait suggéré mais comme je ne savais pas encore mes effets secondaires, j’ai attendu. Erreur! Bref…j’aurais aimé avoir ces conseils avant la chirurgie alors j’ai pris le temps de le rédiger pour vous, anonymement. ???? Bon rétablissement. Et merci encore Dr Doumit et toute l’équipe.
