I’m so glad I did extensive research when choosing a Doctor and clinic to do elective surgery (liposuction & mini neck lift) Dr. Tong and his staff give you their 110% from consultation to surgery! Don’t waste time and try to save money..go with the BEST after all you want the BEST care & results! The day of surgery I was extremely nervous because my spouse was unable to attend due to Covid measurement in place but the Doctors, Nurses & Staff made you part of their family as soon as you walk in! They helped you prepare for the surgery, made you calm & laugh! I’m so grateful for the outstanding and excellent care I have received with this clinic from beginning to end I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude! My whole experience with Dr Tong and his staff was amazing. I can not speak enough praise for them and everything they did for me. Not only was my surgery a success, but the entire experience has left me with better self confidence. Stellar service from start to finish. Catherine and Jean are the BIGGEST GEMS - Very friendly and professional staff. I had a breast lift and reduction. I was not rushed during my consultation with Dr. Tong, all my concerns and goals were addressed honestly and realistically. On the day of surgery, everything was well organized and the O.R. staff were very professional and caring. Post-surgery and my results are beautiful, better than I had imagined. I have been to Dr Tong before and he did a nice job with my Botox and facial filler injections with Radiesse , a longer lasting more expensive filler. This time was a joke. After my visit I went home and looked in my bathroom mirror and noticed that the right hand side of my face was noticeably different than the left. Not as full and not as high as my left cheek. The next day was Saturday and his office is close as well as Sunday. I asked several of my friends if they noticed any difference in the appearance of each side. They all said the right side was lower and not as full. I had paid for two $900 syringes 1 for each cheek. They should have been the same. After all he is an expert board certified plastic surgeon right. I made another appointment with his secretary and went back the next Monday ( 2 days later). I told the receptionist why I was here and asked her if she could notice the difference. She replied Yes. I went in to Dr Tongs office and sat in the chair. He asked me what the problem was and I said, You tell me. He looked an noticed the right cheek was lower and not as full. I said please fix it and he went out of the room to get more Radiesse. He injected me several time about 7 or so in the right cheek. I noticed it was fuller but still not matching the other side but a little better. When we were done he said there so many cc`s left in the syringe and would I like to purchase it for later use. I said I shout NOT have to pay for your mistake. I left unsatisfied and and will be looking for someone who specializes in facial injections instead of plastic surgery. Warning just because they are a board certified plastic surgeon does not mean they are an expert on injecting facial fillers. I will Not be going back and do not recommend his services for this kind of facial rejuvenation. Very very disappointing!

I had been looking at asian eyelid surgery for a while but was scared to contact a surgeon and go through with the procedure because I wanted my crease to be quite high, which i am not used to seeing doctors do. Finally, I went to visit Dr Tong and listened to all my concerns about my eyes, including my want for them to turn out even. He recommended for me to get an epicantoplasty along with my eyelid surgery to ensure that my eyes would heal even. It has been 2 months since the surgery. My creases are the perfect height and I had no issues with them being uneven. Also, the healing process was great and all of his staff are nice and friendly. Dr Tong is a smart, accommodating doctor and I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Tong makes you feel very comfortable that’s first and foremost. His staff especially Katherine & Jean are absolutely incredible (they wre the only ones I had any interaction with apart from him). Everyone there during surgery was very calm, welcoming, polite, KNOWLEDGEABLE, the list goes on. He doesn’t rush, he isn’t pushy. I was a fan of his work before going to him but I can suggest anyone to go to him you won’t be disappointed. Dr. Tong is an incredible surgeon who genuinely cares and pays close attention to his patients. From the beginning of my consult till now I am pleased with him. I had called weeks before wanting my procedure and he was able to fit me in and get it done. No one gives you problems or any hassles. If you want a really good surgeon who listens to you, cares about your results and anything post operative related, definitely go to him. I plan to go to him for other procedures in the future because he’s definitely #1 hands down.

I had submental liposuction with Dr. Tong about two weeks ago and I am beyond happy with the entire experience! I have always stored extra fat under my chin although I am a fairly slim person and it is the thing that really bothered me most about my appearance. This was my first cosmetic surgery and I am really glad it was with Dr. Tong. I consulted with a few other surgeons but Dr. Tong was an easy choice for me because he was so informative and I never felt rushed or pressured in any way. I also looked at his before and after photos for this procedure and I was very impressed! The office is super organized with a very quick response time and everyone is so warm and friendly. I was awake and felt very comfortable during the entire procedure. I didn’t feel any fear or anxiety during the procedure and it was over before I knew it! My recovery was super smooth and way easier than I expected. I took it slow but I was up and about the next day and only needed pain medication for the first two days. I had some mild bruising and soreness but it was very tolerable. For comparison, I had 4 rounds of trusculpt on the same area a couple of years ago (at a different practice) and the pain from that was much much worse with no real visible results at all. This experience is a totally different story! The patient coordinator Jean is also just the most lovely person! She called to check up on me during recovery and called me a few times very quickly after I emailed to ask questions. She is super knowledgeable and reassuring which was especially important for me since this was my first procedure. I know that it takes a few weeks to see full results but I am already so happy! I see a big improvement and I am feeling so much more confident with my profile. I haven’t lost any weight but I look slimmer now that the double chin is gone. I am so happy I made this decision and would absolutely recommend Dr. Tong to anyone wanting to go down this path!

I had lower eyelids surgery on Jun 12th 2019. I already saw the amazing result in two weeks of surgery even I am still on the way of healing. My eye bags are gone forever. The incisions are healing so well and they are hardly to see. Dr. Tong is the 3rd Dr. I had consultation with. I am so glad I choose him as my surgeon for my face. It is hard to trust someone to operate on your face. But after consultation I believe he is the good doctor I can trust. He is so patience. He takes time to explain everything and answer questions. He takes my concerns as his concerns. He is not selling anything you don’t need to you. The staffs in Dr.s office are very friendly and helpful. Jean and Catherine are always there for you. I've been reading the 1-star reviews for Dr. Tong and I wonder if their authors saw someone else and got confused. None of it makes sense. It is 2 years this month since Dr Tong operated on my face and I would trust Dr Tong with my life. He's not a surgeon. He's an artist.For one, I have NO scars. My lower bleph surgery looks like skin was never sewed, it's so perfect - I'm mentioning it because I know how delicate of a procedure this is and how many women have had to undergo several attempts to rectify pulling eyelids. I have a mouth I never dreamed I would because of the lip lift Dr Tong did - I'm mentioning this procedure because many surgeons in TO never performed and wouldn't come near it. Dr Tong did my Botox and facial fillers and every time I take a chance and see other doctors because of a price cut, I want to kick myself bc the outcomes are NEVER as good. So I'll end where I started- I can't imagine what would make anyone give him a 1-star review but the Dr Tong I trusted my face with and will do it over and over again is every bit of the doctor the 5-star reviewers described.

If you have gynecomastia and you are considering getting surgery, please read this review: I had a case of gynecomastia that had been weighing on my mind since I was about 12 years old. I read about multiple plastic surgeons in the GTA who performed gynecomastia surgery. Ultimately, I decided on Dr. Tong (based on his reviews, credentials, website and proximity to me). Dr. Tong and his team (Jean & Katherine) were all awesome from the beginning. I met with Dr. Tong on July 27, 2020 for a consultation. He is very patient and easy to speak with. Dr. Tong assessed my gynecomastia and told me how he would remove it if I went ahead with surgery. He was crystal clear in his explanation. Not long after my consultation I booked a surgery date for Wednesday September 23, 2020. The surgery was exceptionally smooth. I was off work for the Thursday and Friday (total 3 days including the day of surgery). On the weekend I removed some tape that should have stayed on - I emailed Jean and she offered to take a call from me within half an hour. She was incredibly helpful and gave me instructions on where I could get new tape. I am very pleased with the results from my surgery. My chest looks even better than I had imagined beforehand. If you are like me, you probably are having a hard time deciding on if you should get the surgery - or which surgeon you should decide on. If you have the means to get the surgery, please don't hesitate any longer. This surgery will almost certainly be beneficial to your mental health & image of yourself. The recovery is easy. I think the hardest thing to do is select a surgeon - that is why I am writing this review. I strongly recommend Dr. Tong and I hope this review helps you in making your own decision. Cheers.

My experience with Dr Tong and his staff has been incredible! During my consultation, Dr Tong answered all my questions and concerns thoroughly. He explained the whole procedure to me in a way that made me feel extremely confident in my decision to have the surgery and to have him as my surgeon. WOW is all I have to say!! Dr. Tong and his team of nurses and staff are truly amazing. When I came to Dr. Tong with my concerns, I never imagined the results would be as amazing as they are. Being younger and with a genetic double chin (even at my lowest weight), having tired looking eyes, was something that I was deeply insecure about. He recommended that I would be a good candidate for a mini neck lift and upper blepharoplasty. He spent a long time with my initial consult explaining everything in detail, and the risks too. I felt very comfortable and understood (especially with this being something I was so insecure about!). I booked after that and the the process was pretty seamless. Surgery day went excellent, I wasn't under full anesthesia and honestly it was great, I barely remember it and had no pain at all during. The nurses in the operating room were so sweet and funny and made me forget I was even there for surgery. The pain post op was mild, more just discomfort. Healing has gone amazing, very minimal swelling, and I HAVE A JAWLINE! My eyes look bright and refreshed, and my jawline is snatched to the gods. I recommend him and his team to anyone - you can confidently choose him. I will be a client for life. He is truly an artist and expert. Anyone on the fence about this, DO IT! My only regret is not doing it sooner. Thank you so much Dr. Tong and staff for truly making me feel like my authentic self!!

I'm a 34 year old mom who, after having had breastfed both of my children for 2 years, was beyond depressed with my breasts. I don't even think they could be described as breasts anymore because they were flat but long and oblong with GIANT helicopter landing pad shaped areolas. I went to Dr. Tong hoping he could do something. 'Do something' is the understatement of the year. He performed a breast lift with augmentation (to add a little volume to my chest) and reduced my areolas to a size I never imagined possible. I'm currently 1.5 weeks post op and couldn't be happier with my breasts - I feel like the old me only sexier. And as far as recovery is concerned, I was off pain meds by day 3 and was kept comfortable by taking extra strength Tylenol every four hours. I wouldn't describe it as pain I was in - more discomfort - which was relieved by lying/sitting propped up with pillows. If you listen to your body and never push yourself more than you should, I promise you'll be amazed at how manageable recovery from this procedure can be - and I attribute that to Dr. Tong and his incredible gift as a plastic surgeon. I know this is such a long review but not enough good can be said about Dr. Tong and his work. His bedside manner blew me away - he was respectful, professional, allowed me to express every concern on the planet, never made me feel uncomfortable and above all else, was really kind. I consider myself blessed to have found such a talented and respectful plastic surgeon. After vetting several well known surgeons, I selected Dr Tong to do my extended neck lift and it was the best decision He is extremely patient and reassuring taking the time to address concerns and questions. I opted for the twilight sedation, so no anasteptic which was an added bonus. The pain and swelling for me was minimal to non-existant and within 4 days, I was with clients working again. His staff are always friendly and readily available to answer questions, even replying by email over the Christmas holidays. I have seen Dr.Tong relating to 4 different procedures since 2014. Each experience from my first call to follow up post surgery was exceptional! I stress different procedures because often you will need to go to different surgeons with specialties or great reviews in one or 2 areas. Not so at all with Dr.Tong and Yorkville Center of Plastic Surgery. Dr.Tong is extremely skilled and each procedure but one was fixing others work. Each one I am left feeling I made the right choice! It’s easy to make an investment in yourself when your surgeon is confident and comes through, no redo or touch up needed! I am so impressed with Dr.Tong, my gratitude is not enough, which is why I wanted to share my experience. As for the Center, it’s like being in your own home where everyone has a vested interest in your comfort. The office staff are so pleasant, discreet and professional. Jean is such an endearing character I actually look forward to seeing her upon my visits. Thank you Dr.Tong, nothing but the best in the future!!!

I came to Dr. Lawrence Tong around January, 2019 many, many years after I had discovered my gynecomastia. He was the first doctor I went to look at, and after the consultation I immediately decided to have him do my surgery. I went into the surgery with a few reservations, namely a fear of pain and worry about the length of the recovery process. The pain was nowhere near as bad as I thought. My life has gotten so much better. I'm more confident and happier. I wish I would have done this years ago. Anyone contemplating having their gynecomastia removed, I urge you to go for it. The procedure is very easy (for the patient). What makes the procedure even easier is Dr. Tong and his staff. Very professional and knowledgeable, a great complement to Dr. Tong’s tremendous ability as a plastic surgeon. From my first consultation to my last check up, everyone at Dr. Tong’s office has been extremely helpful and kind. The surgery has been life changing. It's unbelievable.

Dr. Tong is an absolute gem in his field, and I would not trust anybody else with any plastic surgery work that I may do in the future. I came to Dr. Tong's office in mid July to have a rhinoplasty/septoplasty and to have nasal polyps removed. On the day of my consultation, Dr. Tong listened to all my complaints, asked what I wanted to have done, gave me his advice/feedback, took before photos, and created a 3D sketch of the final result, all within 1.5h! I felt like Dr. Tong really cared about my goal, and what I hoped to achieve. I also really like that Dr. Tong talked about all the possible complications and realistic expectations I should have in an upfront manner. He seemed really confident in his ability and what the final result would look like. I then spoke to Jean, who is absolutely wonderful and really helped answer any other questions I had and walked me through the recovery process. I really wanted to be feeling better before September, and Jean tried her best to book the earliest surgery date possible for me. She was able to secure a date on August 2nd, far surpassing my expectations; I can't thank her enough for her hard work. I was really happy to receive an email from her later on that same day confirming my surgery date! I came back for my surgery on August 2nd, and was quickly prepped and allowed into the pre-surgery area where I changed into the hospital gown. Dr. Tong came in to answer any final questions, give me some words of encouragement, and make some markings on my nose. Eventually, I was entered into the OR. Everyone, from nurses, to the anesthesiologist was wonderful, caring, and really puts you at ease. The level of professionalism and confidence really helped calm my anxiety, as it was clear that everyone there knew exactly what they were doing. Following the surgery, I was a little nauseous, and the nurses were really caring and attentive. They constantly came to bring me ice, ask if I needed anything, and to check up on me. A few hours after the surgery, I was finally feeling well enough to take the taxi home with my mom. I will not say that the first few days following the operation were pleasant, because they weren't, but I had no pain whatsoever and consequently took no pain medications. Most of the discomfort was the result of dried blood and mucous accumulation in the nose, which was easily cleared with Qtips and Hydrogen Peroxide, as per Jean's suggestion. The worst part of the recovery is the elevated sleeping position and not being able to turn, which translated to very little sleep during the first 3-4days. By the 5th day, things had already improved, and on the 6th day when I had to get my external splint removed (Dr. Tong opted not to use an internal splint in my case, thankfully!), I was feeling really good, and took the train/subway to the office. I did have bruising under my eyes, which lasted from days ~3-11, but it wasn't too bad. I'm currently 13 days post op, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The tip is a little swollen still, as is expected, but Dr. Tong's incredible work really shines through! I attribute my uneventful recovery to Dr. Tong's knowledge and experience, and I attribute my excellent results to Dr. Tong's delicate, precise hands. I couldn't be more happy with the results, and I'm extremely thankful to Dr. Tong and his staff for my painless, uneventful procedure and recovery! I honestly couldn't recommend Dr. Tong enough to anyone, just as he was recommended to me with such high praise. Dr. Tong is truly a gem and given his knowledge and expertise, I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of, if not the best plastic surgeons in Toronto. I really did want to remain mostly anonymous, but Dr. Tong's work really deserves to be seen, he is a miracle worker, and so I've attached a photo of my nose sometime before the surgery, and 12 days post surgery.

I believe that I have one of the most beautiful breasts in this world thanks to Dr. Tong (not to sound too conceded). I am beyond pleased with the results and could not have asked for anything better. It has been about 6 weeks post op. breast augmentation and they have 90% dropped/settled and looks very very natural. I went from a -A ( i liked to call it) to a small C cup. I felt my roommates boobs (they are real) to compare the difference in the softness and I am not lying to you they felt the same. I cannot tell you enough how much this has changed my life. If you feel insecure about your breast size and are considering a breast augmentation, just do it. Just make sure to pick the right surgeon and I highly recommend Dr. Tong he knows what he is doing and he is amazing at it.

After a upper and lower eye lid operation went bad I contact a Toronto plastic surgeon just down the street from Dr. Tong. This was the biggest waste of money since for $285 I received about 4 minutes of his time then was told he doesn't do this type of rework. I contacted Dr. Tong who tried a few minor procedures all for just the price of his initial visitation fee. When these procedures did not work Dr. Tong operated and repaired the damage. His staff are worderful caring people from start to finish. Dr. Tong is a very caring, articulate and very particular about how the procedure will come together without the any addition casts and expense. I would highly recommend Dr. Tong and staff for any plastic surgery since he was so helpful considerate and exact as to how the operation is going to progress and it happened exactly as he described. I have finally reached my forties and for the first time in my life strict diet and exercise 5 days a week for eight months straight has given no results. Very discouraging. It got to the point where I didn't feel comfortable in clothes in public because I felt my fat was bulging the front and back of my body and I couldn't hide it. In a last atempt to try to restore some confidence, I started contemplating plastic surgery. After months of research and referrals I came across Dr Tong. After many months and much deliberation I decided to go ahead with liposuction in my flanks, stomach, thighs, and bra line back area. The results were astonishing. It is only been three weeks since surgery and my body looks amazing. Even though the surgery it only took out about five or six pounds, the way my body is sculpted I am now wearing clothes that I would normally only be able to fit in if I was 15 pounds lighter. What a difference. I credit dr. Tong fully and wholly with his Magic Touch. In the past 20 + years this is actually my third time getting liposuction. The other two times I don't recall having such noticeably amazing results. Dr. Tong is worth the investment in yourself. I highly recommend him.

Had my surgery with Dr. Lawrence Tong on May 6, 2014. I had a necklift and lower facelift performed. His work is absolutely brilliant! My double chin had bothered my for some time so i started researching Dr.s' who had a lot of experience in "face" in comparison to those who only did "breast" or other body work. I had an eye lids surgery in Feb 2018 that was my first cosmetic surgery experience. The entire experience went very well. The consultation was thorough. Dr. Tong answered all my concerns. The operation was professionally managed. Everyone in the operation room are well-trained in their area. It does take time to have a full recovery. So far it has been only 3 months after my surgery and I am pleased with the result. I intentionally first started with an eye-surgery that is relatively a small surgery in my opinion, so that I got to judge the professionalism and skillfulness of the physician, and overall client services at the clinic. Now I feel confident with Dr. Tong and his clinic. In the future, if I needed any cosmetic surgery, I would feel comfortable to come back.

I am so impressed with not only Dr. Tong but everything about the practice. Jean and Katherine are both very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Dr. Tong is also very kind, helpful and obviously a genius with a scalpel (at least I assume that is the primary tool he uses). Most certainly he is one of the best in his field. Dr. Tong fixed a combination of errors from past surgeons and the outcome of many years of not taking care of myself. I had a few procedures completed. Subliminal (I hope I am typing this correctly - if not - it is Chin) liposuction, Lateral and medial thigh lift, fat transfer, liposuction, and I don't know if there is a name for the most intense part of (maybe it is part of one or both of the lifts) but I had excess skin (a roll) below my butt that he magically got rid of for me. I had lived with my terrible legs for many years after 2 attempts to have them "fixed" in the past. Before deciding on making my consultation appointment with Dr. Tong I read every single review I could find online. I will sum them up for you to make it easier to make your decision. The only reviews I could find that were not at least postive if not glowing were from people that complain about money (for the most part - there were none when I ready them that complained about his actual skill, or final outcome!!!) As someone who has had procedures previously I will say that those money complaints are ludicrous. Cosmetic surgery is not cheap for sure but if you want the best you pay for the best and the best is not much more expensive than the mediocre. Why not pay for the best IMHO. Also - you get what you pay for. I tried to cheap out in the past and guess what - I needed to have the work redone so why not just go to the best from the get go. Dr. Tong (and Jean, and Katherine) are the best. Side note - post surgery the care is every bit as good and attentive as it is pre-op. I think that is important to note. Dr. Tong will personally take your calls post op if needed. Service, skill and support - second to none with Yorkville Institue of Plastic Surgery. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Tong, the nurses and the secretary were all absolutely phenomenal people and amazing at what they do. I had extended submental liposuction of the neck back in November 2021, I am still healing but the results so far are beyond anything I could have anticipated. My double chin gave me extreme dysmorphia and though no amount of surgery could cure it, I feel so much more like myself now and I don’t cringe when I walk by a mirror now. Before I say anything I just want to thank Dr. Tong, Katherine, and Jean for all the help they have provided me. I was quite anxious while looking for the right Surgeon to do my rhinoplasty. I searched before the summer came around and took careful consideration in picking where to go for my first consultation. After seeing so many positive reviews about Dr. Tong, I decided to go ahead and book a consult. And what a consult it was. From the beginning I stepped inside the clinic I just had a feeling that this was the place I’ve been searching for. My consult was around 45 mins. Nothing was rushed, all my questions were answered. Dr. Tong was so warm and welcoming. He never pushed me to do anything I didn’t want to. He helped me vocalize what issues I wanted corrected. He was patient, kind, and caring. Not to mention extremely knowledgeable. After that consult, I had another consult at another clinic. Let’s just say that it paled in comparison to my visit with Dr. Tong. I knew with 100% conviction I wanted Dr. Tong to perform my rhinoplasty. I went ahead and booked a date for September. When the day of surgery came around, I was a little bit nervous but I knew I was in good hands. The first week with the splint wasn’t even bad. There was a little discomfort, but after the first 48 hours, I felt fine. I’m 3 months post op, and my nose looks amazing. Everyday my nose looks better than the day before. I’m extremely pleased by my results. And can’t wait to see how the final look will turn out. Also my breathing has improved so much!! I wanted to take time to write a well-deserved positive review for Dr Tong. I was looking to perform two major operations, breast reduction surgery & liposuction. I was anxious as I never had undergone surgery in my life. For me, the hardest part was trying to find a doctor who has an excellent reputation, and choosing a cosmetic surgeon was difficult amongst so many to choose from. I took my time to research and research and research. After my first consultation with Dr Tong, I walked away knowing I had made the right choice. He answered every question with confidence and took the time to explain every step of every phase, every expectation both pre & post procedure. He listened to my needs, my goals, and shared his experience with me of what would work best. After we made a plan, we moved forward The procedure went perfectly, and now about 6 weeks later, I just love the outcome of the procedure, and how I look. I hadn’t anticipated how wonderful it feels to have my body back after 1 procedure. I feel lighter, more energetic, and enjoy how I look now. I had my follow-up consultation to review the results and I could not be more pleased. I wished I had done this sooner. I noticed that losing the weight alleviated back pain issues I was having. I have another phase of my procedure coming next year, and now, I look forward to it. Of special note, my procedure took place during a pandemic, and Dr Tong’s staff took every precaution to keep us all safe, both pre & post operation. The hospital facilities they used were top notch. I had a double chin that was always very prominent in photos so I decided that it was time for a change. The surgery itself was very easy because it only involved twilight sedation so I did not have nausea related to general anesthesia after the surgery. I was not in any pain after the surgery and did not have any concerns as I completely trusted Dr. Tong and my eventual outcome. It took some time for the swelling to subside, but now that I am 1 year post-op, I am thrilled with my natural results. I had a consultation with Dr. Tong previously and booked a follow-up appointment. I missed the appointment and called back to reschedule. The receptionist said she needed to speak to Jean the office manager first, and then came back to tell me that since I had missed several appointments, they could not book me immediately and would call me back when they had a time available, since they were booked up for the next month. K. Well, first of all, I only missed ONE appointment. Second of all, being booked up for the next month does not mean they can't schedule me in for the next available slot. So I called back the next day to make an appointment, and the receptionist said the office manager, Jean, would call me back within a couple of hours. But did I hear from them at all that day? NOPE. I tried contacting them again later on, but none of my calls were picked up. It could have been that they were just busy, but more than likely the receptionist was instructed to ignore my calls, as most receptionists working in this field will pick up the phone and ask you to hold, even when they are on another line. I didn't want to jump to any conclusions, but basically all the damn excuses they've given me is to tell me I cannot come in any further. If I had not seen him for a consultation already, I would just be "whatever" but since I had already paid for a prior consultation and have a right to use that fee towards a procedure, I am not going to just sit back and "take the hint." I cannot speak to the quality of work that Dr. Tong does as he has not operated on me, but after all this phone tag hooplah, I've decided to go elsewhere for my surgery. I had wanted a blepharoplasty performed, which he quoted me $4800 for. I now plan on going to Korea instead, and factoring in costs for the surgery, the plane ticket, and hotel accommodations, it ends up being roughly the same. Only difference being that the doctors there specialize in this specific procedure and perform thousands of them a year - so you do the math. Happy hunting!

My experience with Dr. Tong and his team has been nothing but excellent! Over the last 7-8 years I lost over 120 lbs and had started competing in amateur bodybuilding competitions. The extreme weight loss and training had taken its toll on my body and it was suggested that I consider removing the excess skin to alleviate the extreme water retention and stress on my body. Once my health came into play, the dream of finally getting rid of the skin became a reality. During my consult, Dr. Tong took his time, never once pressuring me to make any decisions, covered every single ounce of information that I could possibly think of and told me that some of the procedures I thought might be required wasn't necessary. The procedures I opted for were liposuction on my flanks (love handles), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck with abdominal muscle grafting) and breast augmentation. Dr. Tong had given me all the precautionary warnings about having all surgeries done at once, but I decided to go ahead and get everything done in one shot. I was in surgery for approximately 6 hours. There is no avoiding the fact that recovery was beyond painful and if it weren't for my boyfriend, I don't think I would have survived. Because I had no core strength and couldn't push or pull myself up, the first 10 days was quite frankly hell and I wouldn't recommend anyone have multiple procedures at once as I did (this was by far my choice and by no means something that Dr. Tong encouraged). My tattoo artist who will be working on my scar cover up was beyond impressed with my incision line across my abdomen. He couldn't believe how straight and thin the line was, let alone the fact that the scar was only 3 weeks old at the time. If you are considering Dr. Tong for any of your procedures, take my review as a definite sign to go for it! I chose Dr. Tong for my breast augmentation because my mother had previously seen him for another procedure and was extremely impressed with his and his team's professionalism and knowledge. I too was throughly impressed and have continually been treated with such care, professionalism, and expertise throughout my periodical follow-up appointments. Immediately upon having my consultation with Dr. Tong I knew he was the doctor I wanted to go with. He was thorough, asked me what my goals were, asked to see my "goal" photos, was there throughout the entire sizing process, and really took the the time to ensure that he understood what I wanted. The day of surgery went very smoothly and I felt so taken care of every single step of the way. Dr. Tong and his team make what may be a potentially nerve-racking and scary experience such as surgery into such a pleasant one. Katherine and Jean are simply amazing and ensure that you are always taken care of along the way. The office is absolutely gorgeous and pristine, and my whole experience with Dr. Tong and his team have had such a lasting impression on me that I know I will continue to see Dr. Tong for any future procedures that I may ever consider doing. Also, to the review that rudely criticized the consultation fee, what else do you expect if you want to see a doctor that is in high demand and is of high quality? C'mon people, think about it. If you've done enough research regarding plastic surgery you should know that any surgeon that is well known for doing quality work and is in high demand will always charge a consultation fee, it just comes with the territory as they are busy enough that they don't have the time to be doing free 1 hour or longer consultations each and every day in between surgeries and follow-ups. You are paying for their time, knowledge, expertise, and a thorough evaluation and a completely personalized plan that includes your specific needs and desired outcome. I had eyelid surgery performed by Dr. Lawrence Tong back in summer 2013. Initial consultation seemed good but it felt rushed and lack of depth. He didn't really took the time to examine my eyes - if he did, he would have noticed how one eye had more fat than the other. Looking back, I found that he was infact very unprofessional. On the day of my surgery, when he was marking the cuts on my eyelids with a marker, he asked me to reconsider how large of a fold I wanted Taken by surprise by this suggestion minutes before my surgery, I was caught off guard and began questioning my decision. This was very unprofessional because I ended up listening to him and went for a smaller fold. I wasn't mentally prepared for it as I was escorted to the operating room right after. I wasn't able to visually see how much the difference would be until post op and qhen everything was fully healed. During my healing, I noticed that my cuts on both my eyes were different, one was higher and rounder, the other shorter and straighter. I brought this to his attention but he told me to wait it out. After I finished healing it was apparent that they were in fact uneven, I asked for a revision. And they told me that I had to do it within the 1 year time frame for the operation to be free, however I had to pay for the operating room. I considered and really wanted the revision but I'm glad I didn't because I'm not sure if he would've done a better job or have made it worse. If he took more time to consult his patients and their worries, he would've realized that he should've removed more fat in one of my eyes. I thought I could come to terms that it was because it's not guaranteed 100% satisfisfaction but 8 years later my uneven eyelids are very apparent. I can feel one eyelid feeling heavier than the other and I see the unevenness everyday. Frankly, I quite regret not doing enough research and only believing the reviews on his website. They never followed up that year to see how my healing was and how I felt about the results. Not sure if it's also a side effect of surgery wit him, but the lower part of my eyelids are forever numb and when I poke or touch it, feels nothing.

Dr. Tong was recommended to me by a friend. I went to see him to get a second opinion on a thigh and arm lift. Dr. Tong was thorough in explaining the options available as well as recommending the best option for me based on his experience . The overall price was also substantially cheaper than my first quote and more importantly he didn't try to sell me additional services. I am so grateful to Dr. Tong and his professional, pleasant staff. Jean (the treatment coordinator is exceptional!) I met Dr. Tong in 2014 after having consults with five other surgeons for opinions on possible neck (tightening) surgery. Dr. Tong had the best solution to my concerns. I waited two years before revisiting my makeover wish list which now included breast augmentation. I wanted small implants to complement my athlete/ slim build. I am now two weeks post surgery and couldn't be happier. The mini neck lift fixed the issues that bothered me and has given me a nice, youthful profile and the breast implants (260cc low profile) are perfect. I can not express how happy I am with the results. Dr. Tong is very capable, intelligent and kind. I have never been rushed or made to feel my numerous questions are unreasonable. I had a corner lip lift done by Dr Tong, since a previous jaw surgery (not cosmetic, and performed by a different surgeon) had left me with a bit of a "sad clown" neutral expression. I was understandably a tad nervous looking into this, since we're looking at messing about with my face (yikes, what if it doesn't turn out right? What if I look like a jokeresque freak?) but I actually started to feel a bit excited about finally getting it sorted after meeting with Dr Tong and discussing the options and ultimately the procedure. He is extremely professional, yet has a really nice, comfortable, calm bedside manner that puts you at ease. I knew I'd come to the right place. Any dealings with the staff have been extremely efficient and professional, and the surgery itself went off perfectly. They have thought of absolutely everything to make the entire experience easy and private. I am so so SO happy with the results. It looks perfectly natural, as though I always looked that way. After only a few months, the scars at the corner of my mouth have faded almost completely... I think at the six month point they will be virtually invisible. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Dr Tong for anything, as I know I'd once again be in the best hands. If you're considering where to go to have some kind of work done, and are feeling a bit anxious about it, don't worry! If you go with this guy you absolutely can't go wrong. You'll only be wishing you'd done it sooner.

Had an amazing experience getting a double eyelid surgery from Dr. Tong and his team. The surgery itself was painless and my recovery process has been smooth sailings for the last couple of weeks! I'm very pleased with my results and happy that his team was so informative in terms of keeping up with me over numerous emails, informing me about pre-op/post-op instructions, and following up to make sure my recovery was okay. I recently had a procedure done with Dr. Tong and I highly recommend him! My consultation was very professional - Dr. Tong went over the process, risks and healing in detail, ensuring that I had a good understanding of what the procedure would entail. I liked how he did not rush through the consultation, asked if I had any questions and was also very neutral (not trying to sell me on the procedure). I decided to go ahead with the procedure and was able to get an appointment in 3 weeks. The procedure went very well - my nurse Julie was AMAZING. I'm terrified of needles, so she made sure to be super gentle and precise when inserting my IV. Julie also removed my stitches a week later, and made sure that I was comfortable and did everything she could to ensure I wouldn't feel any pain (I have zero pain tolerance). During the healing period, I was concerned about how my incision was healing. I contacted Dr. Tong's office almost every other day, and the receptionists Katherine and Jean were quickly to get back to me to answer my questions and see if I was ok. They were very nice and professional even though I'm sure I was being annoying! :) I was having some scar tissue development on my incision (totally normal) and was concerned, so Dr. Tong was super flexible and was able to fit me immediately. I was a bit scared going in, as I read some reviews online about Dr. Tong being rude after post-op. I personally had a wonderful experience when i got in - he looked at my incision, told me what was happening and why it was happening, what I could do to fix it naturally (until I'm fully healed) and what I could do if I wish to have this surgically rectified. I really liked how knowledgeable he was, how he provided me with options and really cared about my concerns. I went home following his instructions, and was able to fix my healing issue within a week! I'm really happy with the results and I highly recommend Dr. Tong!

I did a lot of research and had many questions before going for my initial consultation. This was my first cosmetic procedure and after months of research I decided to come to Dr. Tong. During my first consultation, Dr. Tong really took the time to listen to all of my thoughts, concerns and desired outcomes. He never made me feel rushed or pressured. What was meant to be a 30 minute consultation went well over an hour, and he was so patient explained everything so thoroughly to me to help me understand the procedure better. He is very honest and upfront about everything while also being very kind. What really stuck out to me was when I was showing him inspiration photos of how I what my own results to look like. I had showed him two very similar photos/goal results and he then proceeded to ask me why I chose these two very similar inspiration photos and if there was any difference between them that I liked or disliked. That showed me that he really cares about the results you want and wants to make sure that you do get the results you want. I booked a second "pre-op" consultation just to confirm everything one last time and had the same pleasant experience. Listened to all of my concerns (pretty sure i repeated a bunch from the first consultation), never rushed me, and took the time to explain everything again. On the day of surgery, I was very, very anxious and the nurses at the surgical suite were so kind and supportive, it really helped soothe my nerves and relax. They are with you throughout the whole process. Before, during and after your procedure. I would also like to thank Jean and Katherine for making this whole process and my first cosmetic surgery experience so easy. They are so kind, supportive and informative. They are quick to respond to your emails so you always feel heard. Its always a good experience speaking to them. As for my results, as the swelling is reducing and the area(s) are settling, I am enjoying my results more and more each day. I am very impressed with how I am healing and lack of scar(s), due to Dr. Tong's high skill. The incision lines are fading quite quickly and I suspect that the lines will be imperceptible in time. Yay! I was really worried about scarring. All in all, I would definitely return to Dr. Tong for other cosmetic procedures in the future! UPDATE 11/30/21- It has been 7 months since my surgery and I am absolutely in love with my results. I think the healing stage can be challenging because everything is swollen.
