Dr. Zechel is a wonderful Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon ????. I really appreciate his friendly and accommodating manner. I had a rather unique, complicated issue and he was able to formulate an action plan which he executed expertly during surgery. I chose to be awake for the surgery and was really impressed with the whole experience. He was gentle and attentive and I experienced no pain or significant discomfort at all. As a resident of Belleville, I feel very fortunate to have a local professional with the intelligence and expertise of Dr. Zechel. Kudos as well to his support personnel! Very deserving of 5 stars (wish there were more)????????

This. Place. Is. Awesome!!!!! Formerly the office of Dr. K.W. Lawless, it's now called the Bayside Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centre. I suffer from extreme anxiety doubled with a very bad recent dental experience at my regular dentist. My regular dentist wanted to do a root canal on a tooth, and I had heard so many bad things about them that I just wanted the darn thing out. They were going to do the extraction there for me, but I had a bad panic attack the day of the appointment I think they just didn't want to deal with me any longer, and they sent me to Bayside to have the tooth yanked. Dr. Zechel is AMAZING! When we got there, he was fixing the television in the waiting room. I joked with my husband that it would be funny if the 'TV repair guy' was my surgeon... and he was!!!! He was funny and so gentle and easygoing, fast but precise and professional as all get out! I'm super hard to freeze, but he did it like a pro, and without all the pain of jabbing needles you usually get - he was quick and it was almost painless. He let me play some music to calm my nerves, and I picked Brick House. The chorus hadn't even come on, and HE WAS DONE! No pain, just a little pressure!!! I was so thankful and amazed at how different my experience was there from my regular dentist that I could have cried! The staff there - the receptionist and the nurse that I met - were both super friendly and sweet! Definitely the new benchmark for how I want to be dealt with by a dental professional and their staff! Best part of it all, they called me the next day to ask how I was doing!!! How sweet! ^_^ Super happy with my very brief visit there, and if ANYONE needs any kind of extractions or other oral surgery, GO TO BAYSIDE!!!!! You definitely won't regret it!

I wish I could give MORE THAN 5 stars for the care that was given to my daughter by Dr. Zeckel and his fantastic staff. My daughter had a lump on her gums that had appeared within a couple of months. It raised some concern for our dentist during a routine check up and he placed a phone call to Dr. Zeckel's office. We were seen at his office within 24 hrs. After consultation the lump needed to be removed. Dr. Zeckel and his staff went above and beyond to not only provide EXCELLENT care for our daughter but they also showed extreme patience and kindness to myself (an over anxious/scared mom). We can't say thank you enough and I can assure anyone that is in need of Dr. Zeckel's service that you will be in very competent hands.

I went to see Marc about having 9 teeth removed him and his staff were the best, can’t thank him enough. I went in for my appointment didn’t wait more then 5 minutes and I was in the chair and fast asleep and very little swelling or pain after. If your a bit of a chicken like me it’s a peace of cake,lol.

I am arguably the most anxious dental patient ever - my bp skyrockets at the mere thought of a dental visit. This resulted in a referral to Dr. Marc Zechel, and I simply can't say enough about the warmth and professionalism of the doctor and his staff. Yes, my bp still skyrocketed as I sat back in the chair, but due to their wonderful attention and a great outcome, I feel as though I may have made a breakthrough in terms of a 'white coat syndrome' fear that I've carried with me for most of my life. That is a big deal, and l simply cannot thank this amazing team enough.

I required deep sedation for a dental procedure. Dr Zechel and his team came highly recommended. After dealing with his reception I could see that the recommendations were valid. The receptionist worked with my schedule, explained the procedure expectations, reviewed the covid protocols and was so kind! Like alot of other people I have always suffered anxiety while going to a dentist. Dr Zechel came highly recommended to me by a number of acquaintances so I chose to seak out his services. My positive experience overcame my initial anxiety! I found Dr Zechel and his staff to be very compassionate and professional. The reason for my visit to this office was a tooth that had bothered me. I was able to receive treatment and aliviate my pain quickly. To be completely honest he had performed the extraction so effectively I was unaware he was done. While being a patient of other dentists over the years, I have to admit Dr. Zechel was the best experience I could have hoped for. My extraction has healed perfectly and at no time did I experience anything negative. Wonderful, clean office and surroundings helped make me less anxious and my overall visit more calming. **MUST READ** I am a 38 yr old women that has suffered extreme dental fear/phobia for most of my life. (Due to a traumatic dental experience as a small child!) I go several years before seeing a dentist due to my paralyzing fear! I had three remaining wisdom teeth that desperately needed to be extracted! I have been in a GREAT deal of pain for many, many years! I was referred to Dr. Marc Zechel by several people. I was advised that he was extremely competent at what he does (of course I had to do my own research). I looked him up and read up on him, as well as all of his credentials. Let me just say they were outstanding! I think to myself maybe I will be in good hands, but my fear still paralyses me! I managed to book a consultation with him. His nurse was a dream! Her kindness was impeccable, and for the first time in my life I didn't feel as though I was a laughing stock! His dental assistant was no less than incredible as well! Then I meet Dr Marc Zechel. I was sobbing like a two year old, almost shaking out of the chair. He smiled and started to explain the extraction procedure. Of course I start freaking out even more! (Because of my age, I now have extremely large roots and some infection). To anyone reading this PLEASE do NOT put this off as I have done. Dr Marc's bedside manner was AMAZING! (This goes a long way with me!) He sends me home with a script to ease my anxiety, as well as and EMLA patch to numb the area where the IV is to go The procedure takes place three days after the consultation. The Dr starts the IV (I've had several IVS in my lifetime and they don't scare me..(however this EMLA patch thing was pretty neat! I didn't even feel the IV go in!...BONUS I think to myself!) I drift off to never never land... I wake up in the recovery room and was sent on my way with more scripts. Dr Zechel actually contacted me throughout the next few days to ask how I was doing, and offer much needed advise! Who does that?! This incredible Dr that's who! I will not say that this has been a pain free experience, but I will say once again... please do not put it off! As far as I am concerned Dr Marc Zechel is the very best at what he does.. He wears many hats so to speak. There is only ONE oral/maxiofacial Dr that I would entrust and Dr Marc Zechel is the one and ONLY! If you are in need of any oral surgery do not hesitate in contacting Dr Zechel! You won't be sorry!

DR Marc Zecheal and his team are wonderful at putting you, the patient first, your needs and comfort come first to this highly trained professional team. I have never been one who likes to go to a dentist especially a surgeon. I was treated with respect and compassion throughout my surgery.
