I can't even begin to express how grateful I am to Dr. Silverman and the team at Ottawa Plastic Surgery. Amazing customer service from everyone in the office. There wasn't too long of a wait to get an appointment. He was very thorough with explanations for my procedure and was ALWAYS available for answering questions if I had them. He makes you feel at ease at all times, and is someone I had no trouble trusting with my care. His staff are all so kind and helpful. A special shoutout also for Vanessa, the patient care coordinator. She made a point of checking in on me the day after my procedure, and was always available via email to assist with any questions I had, at any time of the day. Overall a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend Ottawa Plastic Surgery to anyone in Ottawa or surrounding areas. Helpful tip for the location of the office: Ensure that you give yourself a few minutes to locate the proper parking structure as there are three buildings in the complex, and it was a bit confusing my first time. The office will also validate your parking.

I could not be happier with the decision of using Ottawa Plastic Surgery and Dr. Boyd for my augmentation. From the initial consultation Dr. Kirsty Boyd took a lot of time to explain everything to me and weigh out options, with all the possibilities and explain the pros and possible cons moving forward. There was no pressure, just information and kind guidance of what she would recommend based on her experience and expertise. I loved the 3-D, 360 degree imaging that is done to show you what the end result(s) will look like. I was warmly welcomed every time I had to visit the office and Vanessa and team took care of all the correspondence and needed paperwork and payments. The staff at OPS are all so wonderful! I felt so valued as a client/patient from day 1. I have to also commend the staff at the Almonte General Hospital, who were amazing from triage/check-in to post-op. What a great experience all around. Dr. Boyd and her team that day were incredible, doing an amazing job to reduce the amount of recovery I would need, with small 3cm incisions and wonderful pain management. My recovery was next to nothing, and SO MUCH BETTER than I could have ever imagined (or been told about by others). I was up and moving within hours and functioning within 3 days, without issue. I stayed on top of the prescribed medication and it was exactly what I needed to get through the recovery period of about 5 days. I took it easy from there and resumed normal activity within 1-2 weeks, and exercise and sports within 4-5 weeks. And...The Results Are: FANTASTIC!!! Exactly what I wanted, pictured and expected. I feel so confident again and love getting my pre-baby body back! I can only HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are considering something similar. Thank you to Dr. Silverman and Dr. Boyd and your team! I am one happy lady :)

From my very first appointment for my Lower Body Lift procedure, up until my recent Breast Augmentation & Lift, he and his staff have been nothing short of amazing. This rating is for the lady who answered the phone. She sounded irritated to have to take the call, she was impatient and insensitive. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, so I gave her some grace and decided to call back again a few weeks later. I got the same attitude. I had questions about having my breast implants removed because I believe they were making me sick. She said I would need to get new implants put in or a breast lift because my breasts would look very unpleasant if I just removed the implants. I felt very uncomfortable discussing this with a receptionist. She was not qualified to be giving this advice and her tone was very condescending. The consultation price was $150, almost double what other Ottawa surgeons are charging. I was about to book an appointment but my gut was telling me this is not the right place so I changed my mind. Then a few weeks later I received an email from their clinic about how great breast implants are and how I should book an appointment to get a breast augmentation. I told her on the phone I was suffering from breast implant illness and that I wanted mine out and this is the email they send me? Very poor judgment. I decided to go with Dr. Borsuk and was very pleased with the care I received there.

I felt comfortable and heard and had a wonderful experience post op. 4 years later, I will be back for another minor procedure and it was so great to see both Vanessa and Dr Boyd once again. I had a breast implant and a labiaplasty surgery done by Dr Silverman. I am very pleased with both surgeries results. It was my family doctor who referred me to Dr Silverman as his daughter also had a positive experience and result with her breast implant. Everything went very well from the start, the consultation, the surgery and the follow-up care after surgery. The procedures were explained to me very well by Dr Silverman. We had great communication as he listened to my needs, answered to all my concerns and I was surprised to find out that he is fluent in French. I had abdominoplasty in 2007 which turned out wonderful. I shared a recovery room with a woman who also had a tummy tuck done that same morning and she got severe necrosis and ended up with a huge hole in her stomach that could not be surgically closed for months. She and I became friends through sharing a recovery room together and her experience gave me massive panic and anxiety for my own recovery. Her stomach turned black, the skin fell off, she had to have it packed and see a wound recover nurse every day (google skin necrosis after tummy tuck if you dare). It was serious. Years later down the road I went back to Dr Silverman to enquire about having another procedure because while I had legitimate panic/anxiety about my recovery due to what I was witnessing first hand the first time around - my results ended up being great and due to that I trusted him. What I did not know is that because of my post op anxiety, Dr Silverman chose that as a reason to never see me again. I called for a consultation and I was told that he would not even talk to me on the phone nevermind see me face to face to give me this explanation as to why he would not operate on me again. He got his receptionist to awkwardly tell me. I watched this woman's stomach fall off, her stitches rip open and for her to have a huge open hole in her stomach for months after having the exact same surgery as me on the exact same day. That is called trauma, especially for her but my anxiety over worrying it was happening to me too was enough to be blacklisted.
