Dr. Barr made sure I had a good understanding of the procedure and what was best for my situation. My surgery was so smooth and easy, I was nervous but they were quickly able to reassure me and make me feel at ease. Their facility is so well equipped but also so much more comfortable than a hospital setting. My recovery has been a breeze! The COVID test was the worst part!! If you are looking to get any work done I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Barr and his wonderful staff. You won’t be disappointed! :)

He treats you as if you are his one and only patient. I had a tummy tuck and couldn’t believe my results, they exceeded my expectations. I am moderately satisfied with the experience and the result. I must say that the clinic has a very efficient system, and the staff and Dr. Barr are friendly and quickly make you feel at ease. Also, the procedure itself went very well and I can tell the Dr. did his research and planned his approach carefully. I went in for scar correction surgery on my lip - a delicate procedure. Recovery went very well, and my scars healed up rather quickly. However, I do wish that Dr. Barr would have taken a little more time, maybe provided a visual, to explain how he was going to perform the procedure the day of the operation (especially since he had decided to change his approach since the intake). More importantly, I wish he would have taken the time to look at his work when I came back to get my stitches removed. I did not see him after the surgery. If it had been me, I would have wanted to see how my work turned out, especially since (I believe) the procedure was unusual. Now I am left with mild discoloration on my lip (from the anesthetics) and the actual scar removal turned good but not great. I realize that it would be very difficult for any plastic surgeon to eliminate it entirely, but I was hoping for slightly better results. It has been only been 6 weeks since the surgery, so maybe it will improve slightly but I honestly look pretty healed up. I will update if there are any changes. All in all, I am grateful for the overall pleasant experience and that the scar on my lip is at least a little better.

Loved my results from Dr.Barr, not only is he very professional he's super knowledgeable and friendly. During my consultation we discussed what I wanted, he was very professional in telling me that what I wanted would not look proportional to my body. Overall I am very happy with the results and glad I trusted him with that decision. The minute you walk into his office his staff are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I have been to one other plastic surgeon and can say that the pre-op treatment was nothing compared to Dr. Barr. He and his staff make you feel like you're at a spa. I would recommend Dr.Barr to anyone and if I plan on having future surgeries will make the trip to have him perform them.

Excellent experience! Went to Dr Barr for breast asymmetry correction and a lift. My results are phenomenal! 99.9% perfection. Truly was afraid of this procedure everything was so smooth and staff was extremely helpful and warm. I was even given a cancelation date which I was super thrilled to receive. I am 5 days post op and have zero issues and healing very nicely. I’m honestly so happy and very confident to who I will go back if I want anything else done ! Thank you to Carin, Chantal, Dr Barr and staff. My confidence has returned !

Just a reminder that I still hate my face (years later) and think of this man every time I look in the mirror and want to cry. I won't even let people take a picture of me now. If you want rhinoplasty please go to another more specialized surgeon. I can't afford a full revision (I had a small one, but it is still not enough). He is also very arrogant and will come back to any bad review with excuses of why you're being irrational, never a sorry, never compassion, never listening and understanding. His staff are very nice, and great to deal with.

Went to Dr. Barr for a rhinoplasty and liposuction at the age of 18. Open rhinoplasty was performed and he caused a nasal tip injury which has left me permanently scarred and in need of an expensive revision rhinoplasty. This has been confirmed through a consult with a revision rhinoplasty specialist on the west coast. Ultrasonic liposuction was performed, I was not informed of any risk of loss of flexibility even though I was a dancer. He agreed to do liposuction and did it very aggressively causing scar tissue that restricted my movement dancing. He also accidentally caused a burn on my inner left thigh which is still visible. I was 18, 5’ 4” and 135 pounds. After my experience at Barr Plastic Surgery I was left physically and emotionally scarred. Following surgery I had a reaction to the pain medication and was in significant pain and almost losing consciousness when my mom tried to check my drain ports and change my bandages. Dr. Barr told her I was being dramatic and to just deal with it. My mom had to threaten to take me to the emergency room before Dr. Barr would agree to see me and adjust my medications. I have still not fully healed from my traumatic experience. All aspects of which I will not go into detail on. Absolutely horrifying experience with a surgeon who belittled me, made my appearance worse, and caused significant scarring that is still visible 13 years later. UPDATE: The below response from the owner is exactly the kind of professionalism and service you can expect from Barr. They were told in advance of any procedures that I was going to be moving out of the city and would not be available for follow ups and they said that was no problem and agreed to do the procedures. In the below comments they reveal confidential patient information from my file regarding pain medications and reactions. This is very clearly a violation of patient confidentiality. I am honestly shocked that they believe this is acceptable conduct. After contacting two plastic surgeon's offices in my current city contrary to what Barr states Tylenol #3 only is not a standard level of pain relief following liposuction and rhinoplasty. The tone of the response is exactly why I never approached Barr with any issues I had. I was traumatized by the way I was treated. Case in point, the below response from the staff belittling my pain level by stating most clients use only advil. They also should maybe do more research on the equipment they are using as ultrasonic liposuction is known in rare cases to cause burns and scar tissue. It is this scar tissue that affected my ability to dance at the level I was prior to surgery. The burn on my thigh and the nasal tip injury he caused are not 'minor post op issues' as they state. And certainly were not caused by 'improper garments'. To respond to my review in such a way really emphasizes the issues I have with your establishment. I wrote this review not in an attempt to have any contact with Barr Plastic Surgery, which I will continue to avoid but to hopefully save someone from going through what I went through. Do your research on your surgeon and go somewhere else.

Extremely rude and offensive when bringing up concerns about my breast augumentation, five years prior. All the staff were extremely rude and non personable. I'm sure that other people have had positive experiences. My initials experience before my surgery was positive.... however when I brought up concerns, I wasn't treated very nicely and pretty much was called fat! I'm a five foot seven woman and at a healthy weight

Dr. Barr performed a septorhinoplasty on me in late 2019. I went for 2 consultations over the course of 2 years before I felt 100% ready to have the surgery done. Both times I met with him for my consultation, he was very informative. He made me feel completely at ease and he was thorough in discussing the surgery, recovery, and everything I could expect in terms of the aesthetic end result. His staff were always approachable, and Carin, his surgical coordinator, is the sweetest. His RN, Chantal, was also great, particularly with all of my post-op recovery questions. His entire RN staff and support staff were helpful and accommodating. I felt my questions and concerns were always answered with both professionalism and kindness. Although I was understandably nervous on the day of surgery, everyone helped to ease my fears and before I even knew what was happening, I was waking up post-op. My recovery was 100% pain-free, aside from some obvious discomfort from having packing stuffed up both nostrils to what felt like my brain. :) Dr. Barr personally called me the day after my surgery to check in and see how I was feeling, and I had regular follow-up appointments both in person and via phone or Zoom since the pandemic. I did experience a significant amount of swelling and bruising in the first 2 weeks post-op, but this is normal and common. I will say, for anyone considering a septorhinoplasty or a rhinoplasty, that the swelling during the recovery period is 100% the worst part of the entire experience. Dr. Barr was very clear in informing me that the swelling would continue off and on for approximately one year, if not longer, but I had hoped (foolishly) that I would be the exception to the rule. There were days when the swelling was so bad that my nose looked worse than it had before the surgery. What I can say now with certainty is: trust the process. I am now 16 months post-op and finally healed. In fact, Dr. Barr even went so far as to perform a minor revision on one area of my nose that had healed improperly. I am still slightly swollen from the revision, but I can say with full honesty that having this done has been life-changing for me. I am so happy with the final result, and I am so happy that I decided to do this for myself, and only myself. The results are so subtle and natural looking, and I don't look like a completely different person (which was another fear I had going in to the consultation). I can truly say with certainty that now, I look the way I have always felt on the inside. I will 100% recommend Dr. Barr and his practice to anyone who asks.

I had breast augmentation performed by Dr. Barr this past Spring. Everything from first consult to last follow up with Dr. Barr and his staff was absolutely perfect. Super clean facility as well. I recomend anyone thinking about making these kind of changes to definitely consider seeing Dr. Barr.

Dr Barr is a fantastic DR! I had a lift, agumentation and upper arm lift! Exactly what I wanted, everything turned out great! Office staff was professional and awesome to deal with. Worth the travel time. Compared to local Drs I saw here in the sault. I plan on getting an upper thigh lift and he really is only one I'd let do it! I am utterly happy with my ending so far I am only 4 months out and will still get better! Highly recommend even above going to USA.

After being lied to I asked for a refund for my consultation and they refused and blamed their lies on covid! If I could give them a 0 star I would. I explained my situation very clearly that my surgery kept getting cancelled elsewhere due to lockdowns. I Specifically asked if my appointments would be effected because of the lockdown and they said no so I proceeded with the virtual appointment and paid the consultation fee for them to tell me I have to wait till after the lockdown for my in person appointment. I explained to them I was told the lockdown wouldn’t effect my appointments and they told me it’s my fault because I did the virtual consultation that they won’t refund my money. So I paid for the appointment for absolutely nothing I may as well have stuck to my original surgeon because they are liars to get your money!

My experience with Dr. Barr was better than I could have ever imagined. I had been thinking about getting rhinoplasty for years and finally during the pandemic decided to reach out to several plastic surgeons to get a sense of my options. Dr. Barr was the clear choice for me for many reasons: he was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, he was on-time and attentive for all of our appointments and unlike other surgeons, I never felt rushed while asking my many questions, Dr. Barr always wanted to make sure I was informed and had time to think through the process before making any decisions. He encouraged me to seek out other surgeons so I was confident in my choice and I also never felt judged or that he thought I needed a rhinoplasty, he kept our conversation focused on my experience, my perspective and my goals. That being said, once I did share my goals and 'ideal photos', Dr. Barr was transparent and realistic with what I personally could achieve with my current nose structure. I also appreciate his expert ability to weigh in on my overall facial aesthetic and the changes to my nose that would make my overall appearance look best and natural. He was extremely patient as we collaboratively decided what would be best for me and had photo software that showed me an image of what my nose would look like after surgery. This thorough process made me feel confident (and really excited!) going into surgery. The surgery itself was very smooth, he has a private entrance and very clear instructions for patients. All of his staff are very kind and informative as well, the intake process was smooth and within 20 minutes I was ready for surgery. Post surgery, instructions were very clear and Dr. Barr himself was checking in on me in those first few days after surgery. You can see that he truly cares about his patients and recognizes them as individuals with different communication needs and always reassured me that I could 'call anytime, any hour' if I had concerns. There wasn't a moment where I felt unsupported, that meant the world to me!! I am almost 6 months post-op and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier with the result, I was happy at about 2 weeks post-op and every month it's just gotten even better! My photos now accurately match the morphed photos Dr. Barr created for me to show what my nose 'could look like', but somehow even better and I am just so happy I made this decision and that I chose Dr. Barr. You will not find a more experienced, professional, approachable and kind Surgeon. Thank you so much Dr. Barr & medical team - this has changed my life and how I feel about myself everyday.

I highly recommend Dr Barr, he is an excellent surgeon , very knowledgeable and experienced . His skills are very meticulous and he knows what he’s doing. I had my virtual consultation where I voiced my concerns and he understood what I was looking for and explained to me the outcome and what he suggested would be good for me. I then had my in person visit where he could explain in detail and what my results would be over time. Prior to my surgery date I had my Covid test then the following week surgery. Upon my entry at the clinic the surgery section was really modern and I had my private room it was a very welcoming and a relaxed atmosphere. His staff and nurses especially Chantal are extremely caring and professional.
