The absolute best! Amazing personality, skilled surgeon, wonderful and kind staff. A++ 2 years later still so thrilled with my tummy tuck. I have never worn a bikini in my adult life. I have friend who have also had this procedure and Dr Shortt's belly buttons are not comparable. No circle, fast recovery, top notch clinic.

I simply cannot find enough superlatives to express my gratitude to Dr. Shortt for his wonderful work. I have, for many years now, had numerous black moles and dark spots on my face and they seemed to be multiplying. Dr. Shortt removed over 40 of these and when I left his office, I have to admit, I was worried. I looked pretty rough. But there are no crevices or dips in my skin (of which I thought there’d be many) and most incredibly there is no visible scarring at all. It’s hard for me to say how much better I feel now. I have a refreshed, natural look. I am a career musician and in the public eye so, needless to say, I feel so much more confident about my appearance. Dr. Shortt was honest with me from the beginning. He clearly explained options to me but never made me feel that he was up selling other services. I was fearful and had huge reservations about having anybody touch my face but everything about my experience with Dr. Short and his staff was positive and I would have absolutely no hesitation to recommend him. As a patient with many surgical procedures , this has been the most exceptional experience I’ve ever had. My initial consult was met with an empathetic well thought out response . I had a mass elevation in the groin area , and certainly would not suggest that my scenario was typical or common . Dr Shortt approached the plan with many options , and carefully weighed out with full explanation what he thought would yield the best results . This has been a life long struggle for me psychologically and certainly presented increasing physical challenges as I aged. Empowered is the best word I could use to describe the end result . I had peroneal nerve damage below my left knee, resulting in the inability to hold up my foot (drop foot), severe lower leg pain, and loss of sensation in most toes. This considerably affected my mobility and daily activities and, since I also required a knee replacement, I was starting to lose hope of ever being able to walk properly again. During my first visit with Dr. Short, he calmly and thoroughly explained the necessary surgery, its possible risks, and prognosis for recovery. Within two hours after Dr. Shortt performed the nerve surgery, I was thrilled to again be able to move my foot and toes! I had knee replacement surgery two weeks later, and, since my foot was steadily improving, was able to concentrate on learning to walk properly and perform all physio exercises. I was fortunate that Dr. Shortt performed the critical nerve surgery, and appreciate both his medical expertise and easygoing, confidence-inspiring, personality. I highly recommend Dr. Shortt to anyone requiring or considering specialized surgery.

Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty It has now been almost 5 months since my lower eyelid surgery performed by Dr. Shortt and his amazing team. I could not be happier with the outcome. My journey to this point started over 2 years ago. As I have aged my lower eyelids began to become more and more pronounced. While on conference calls or taking pictures I tried to get an angle that would hide the issue. It began to bother me more and more every year. My initial discussion with Dr. Shortt was via video conference due to covid. He was polite, professional and confident. I wanted to say yes on the spot, but felt it was best to research the procedure and Dr. Shortt over a 6 month period. Dr. Shortt's lovely receptionist was so nice to deal with when setting up the first face-to-face meeting. By the end of that meeting I had the surgery date scheduled for a few months down the road. All the pre-surgery information was provided to me well in advance, which I followed to the letter. The day of the surgery went very smooth. Dr. Shortt planned on 1 hour for the surgery but spent 2 hours to ensure my specific request was ultimately met. The surgery started around 3:30 and I was able to leave around 8:00 once I was fully awake. I was asked by the discharge nurse to add a cold compress to my face for the rest of the evening which I followed for the next 4-6 hours. The first night at home was tough. I was so worried about ripping out my stitches that I only cat napped for 30-40 mins at a time. For the next 7 days while the stitches were in I was able to get more and more sleep just being very careful. I had some very powerful pain medication but honestly I did not have to use them for the entire 3 month recovery period. Actually I felt no pain at all post surgery. I attribute this to Dr. Shortt’s skill and the advice of the discharge nurse. During the recovery period my left eye never gave me cause for concern. However, my right eye did have more swelling and chemosis that came and went over the next 8 weeks. Dr. Shortt was very good about bringing me back on a weekly and Bi-weekly basis to examine the eye and ensure the eye was improving. I must admit I did have a serious scare around the 6 week mark as my right eye started to swell on the bottom and right side. Once Dr. Shortt was made aware he asked me to come back first thing the next day. I was terrified but Dr. Shortt calmly explain the healing process, provided me some stretching technique and asked me to be patient. I listened and following his instructions and over the coming 2-3 weeks the eye started to relax and the swelling diminished. Fast forward 2 months, my right eye is as good as the left eye. Both eyes have settled down and I look and feel normal. There is only a little tension on the periphery of the eye, which is normal and will fully settle down within the next year. Dr. Shortt and the entire team at the clinic were incredibly professional to deal with through the entire 3-4 month recovery process. When you are young most people never think that they will need this type of procedure done. Then life and age hits and your opinion charges drastically. It is truly amazing what surgeons can do and I for one am very grateful that Dr. Shortt was willing and able to help me. I would recommend Dr. Shortt and his amazing team to anyone. Listen to their guidance, fully explain your desired outcome and I believe you can also a positive experience as well. From the moment I met Dr. Shortt I knew I was in excellent hands. His personality and empathy for my situation put me immediately at ease in having the confidence I needed to finally gift myself with the fix to my stomach I had dreamt of for so long. That said, results matter and this is where I will be forever grateful for the skills Rodger brought to the operating room that day. I tried hard going in to have reasonable expectations, knowing I may not be perfect in the end but surely would be better than before, I still can’t quite put into words my transformation. I still find it hard to think about for to long without becoming emotional because I feel as though I was released from a prison that day that I’d been living in for more than two decades. I hadn't realized the enormity of the negativity I’d been living with surrounding my stomach. I will be forever thankful and eternally grateful to Rodger for the momentous improvements he made to my self-esteem, my mental health and my overall welll-being for these next 30 -40 years should I be so lucky.
